What a shame this one was archived as the views are stunning. A quick find. TFTC
YAY!!!! I was heading back to Hobart after a mighty milestone hike way down south and thought I would stop in here to see if this archived cache was still available. I haven't had much luck with archived caches in Tasmania so I was over the moon when I pulled up here to a gorgeous view and to find the cache still in place
I opened up the tiny beasty to find the old log very wet and unusable, but never fear I had come prepared with a sheet of paper and a clippy bag to place inside. I happily made my mark and then placed the new log inside the cache. Hopefully the clipseal bag will give this cache another opportunity for any other archive hunters to log a find
Thanks for the cache and another glorious view of this beautiful part of the universe OldSaint

This was meant to be a drive by; but now the road is closed to through traffic, it defeats the original idea.
Thanks to all who took the time to look for and log the cache.
Cheers and thanks

Another beautiful view. Orchard workers not far from spot today , but using views was easy to get too. tftc
Found with the help of Laura, Jassy & Brenan, The girls were the victors of this find.
Drove in from the Geeveston end and consequently had to walk down hill a bit, now that they closed this road. It used to be a handy little shortcut! Once there it did not take long, and not a soul in sight. TFTC!
Almost got busted by a local farmer finding this one. Thank goodness for cameras and shoe laces. Lovely view from up here. TFTC.
Say hello to the local farmer, ask him about the Wallabies having a go at his Potato Patch...TFTC
Quick find, watch the blackberries, and the unmoving muggle across the road. TFTC
Quick fund by geomum for a change. Agree with previous finder, log is soaking, probably from being replaced without applying the magnet.
Have dried up log some on the dashboard & removed a soggy sticker.
Will replace in a minute when it should be dry enough again.

Many thanks to OldSaint,
This was our 5 of 15 for todays cache hunt, Find number 1404 at 10:00:00 AM.
We are here in Tassy, hunting down your caches. This is our first time here and the weather here is fantastic, just a tad chilly. Please keep an eye out for us and come and say hi, we won't bite.
Log is no longer DAMP, but SATURATED, WILL NEED MAINTENANCE if you want people to write in the log and say something nice.
Great views here.

Went up the wrong way with this one, but quick buzz down the hill and we were back on track.
The log is a tad damp... may need a little bit of a look

This location is another elevated position giving a different view of another section of the Huon River - again, well worth a visit. The cache was a quick find. Although the log was damp, we could still sign the log. TFTC OldSaint
accurate coordinates pulled up right next to it opened car door and found immediately log book full and wet
After staying at a nearby B&B for a few days it was time to go find this one. Took the camera and got some great early morning shots. tftc.
I wonder why they blocked this road to through traffic?
Anyway, I came up to enjoy the view, and found the cache straight away, exactly where I expected.
I had to add a scrap of paper with my log on it, as the rest of the log is a pulpy mess.
More great views, especially to the north.
Thanks!

During day trip from Hobart to Southport. It was a lovely day, nice weather, great views, good coffee and food and in between some caches! TFTC
Found and logged together with Muspel during our holidays in Australia .
Thanks for the cache .

A quick find - then we tried to dry the papers and the cache , added some paper too . But it will not help so long , believe the box is too old .

Found with whitewebbs on our "Down South" caching holiday log too wet to sign easy find TFTC
Found with Tassie Trekkers while caching in the area. Log was mush, no room for more paper. TFTC. Good view from the crest.
There was only one tractor driving Muggle about today. This is a nice spot to stop and grab a cache. TFTC
The GPS was pointing me in the wrong direction for this one. Not too many places to search, so cache was found easily. TFTC!
Beautiful winter's day, wouldn't recommend pushing a geo-kid up the hill in a stroller from the southern end. nearly killed me! but worth the views
TFTC
PS : couldn't log visit due to wet log (needs maintenance)

Found on a day of caching in the Huon Valley. Decided to do this one on the way back instead of the way down. Didn't read the logs which spoke of the road being blocked halfway so had to back track a little bit to get to the cache but it didn't matter at all. Found cache in the dark with a torch quite quickly. TFTC.
On our way south the nuvi wished for us to go over the crest but I decided not to as the road is now crossed and as we where going to do the caches on the way back up. So thinking it I might get lucky drove up and over the crest from the south to find in fact that I would now have to drive around and up the other way.
JABs.

Thanks for the cache and recommendation for a nice view (unfortunately my camera baterry was dead beacause of Tahune forest visit) !
Yes, it is a lovely view from here. Thanks for bringing us. Cache found on the ground so we re-fixed it where it should be. All was well with the cache. Removed the log, signed and then reinstated it. Palmers Road is blocked at the moment so is not a through road just now, but cache is o.k. and easily reached from the Hobart end as the blocking begins further on.

A quick find on our second trip up this little side road today. [The first time being a cranky GPS trying to shortcut us down a No Through Road on our way south.] Thanks.
Quick find after admiring the view. left another page for the log, which shows signs of having been pretty wet recently.

I missed the turnoff on the way down but looked out for it on my return.
Easy find with another nice view unfolding below.
Thanks

675 - Took a punt at what the correct turn off was and luckily found that we had found the correct one. Brissy Guy Junior found the cache quickly at 11:28am as I admired the views of the valley and river from this raised position. Thanks for showing us good view OldSaint.
2nd for the day on the way to what turned out a great family day. found by geo daughter, log damp, tried to try it a bit in the sun and wind, T4TC
The number of times we have been over this road, can't count that high anymore, but getting this cache was a good reason to do it once more.
Thanks AGAIN OldSaint
Thanks AGAIN OldSaint
The 'girlfriend' had told me to go this way on the way down south earlier today but I ignored her so I couldn't do it a second time even though night was on its way by now. The short cut taken, we stopped in and I quickly had the stash in hand from the first place I looked at 17:40. The views were even still vaguely visible (which got me off the hook a bit ).
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks OldSaint

Found with TassieGirl13, nice easy drive by for us.
Some wonderful views over the river so we stopped for a while and took some photos.

Log is wet and we couldn't dry it in the rain. Suspect the cache has not been replaced correctly. Cheers Quilter
On the way back to Hobart from our FTF hunt we grabbed this one and enjoyed the view. Suspect cache has not been replaced as intended in the past, which means the log is wet. Made our mark and then returned to collect Netballer from work (we were only 1/2 hour late). TFTC Cheers Quilter
picked up a few caches that I missed going down south today heading back up north..... great views from this cache... light rain was falling, wind blowing and a little bit of sunshine thrown in as well Log was a little damp so adding my graffiti wasn't that easy but a great cache along a scenic and a little bumpy road...
cheers 4 da cache OldSaint!

Easy find but not magnetic as the info suggests. Great view from this location. Noticed the apples on the side of the road ripening up. TFTC.
In company with gng, this was an easy find. We spent more time chatting to a nearby local than we did looking for the cache. You Tasmanian's sure are a friendly bunch, which is sadly fading over on the big island.
Beautiful view and yummy blackberry's. An easy find thanks to our friends!! TFTC
Not sure if it was supposed to be secured to anything, but it was found just on the ground.

Was about to give up when we spotted it. Log was wet didn't have anything to replace with.
Yep, lovely view.
Redtag and I enjoyed a superb feed of blackberries right at GZ.
Many thanks.

Holding the GPS I was wondering which crest as we drove up and over so many on the way here. Finally the turnoff with better views as we parked the car. Wouldn't call this a micro, more a small cache. Contents ever so slightly damp. Great views from parking area. Thanks for taking us to this vantage spot. TFTC
Swampy and I were down this way caching and we decided to stop on the way home and have tea at Hounville so we stopped and picked this cache up on the way past. I found the cache (before Swampy....doesn't happen often), cache was logged and returned with no traffic anywhere to be seen. Thanks for the cache
So Tim Tam keeps at me asking if I knew that she had found a cache before me so I let her find another, here.
Cache was found quickly, logged and replaced. Now for tea in Huonville and then home.
Thanks.

Mr red tag and I always go different ways, he goes around the water and I take the short cut over the hill.
Today it was just me so it was a simply driveby

All of us bar Kagura-chan (who was working the GPSr) gathered down one end looking and then at the word from Kagura that it was actually behind her, Shin-chan darted straight to it for the last find of the day.

We found this one very quickly thanks to a good clue. Unfortunately the cache was wet and the log sheet very soggy. TNLN Thanks OldSaint.

Had a quick look on the way home but didn't spot it straight off, so we left. No info and no hint with us today doesn't help either....

Jubilation - a nice quick find - a bit of a detour on the way to work - but I reaped the reward of the first to find. A great spot - a well travelled path over the years to and from the shack. - TFTC.
