I don't think there are any Dougal-like plants here to my eye anymore; just lots of long grass. I had a stomp around but had no luck. Suspect the area has changed quite a lot in recent months. Could be worth a check?
No luck finding this one. The three of us looked for 20 mins and no sign of any cache.
I only had time for a quick search today but nothing appeared for me. There's a BCC team doing a lot of work very nearby, so when they stopped smoko and started work again, it was time for me to split. Maybe next time. I did enjoy the views over the edge though.
Quickly found today but why didn't I see that last time I came here. Must have had cache blindness. TFTC
Yep about ten m out from co ords. And considering the time since last being found I wasn't even sure that it would still be around. But thanks for getting me so close to the edge to appreciate what you wouldn't get to see without looking for a cache!
TFTC. #371. It took us two visits to spot this one. Not sure why we did not see it the first time. This is a great spot to start a run from.
We headed into this estate with the hope of finding the two Caches that were here. Firstly we headed for this one and soon found ourselves in the right area. It did not take too long to find the hide and add our name to the log. After putting the Cache back in its hiding place we headed off for the other one only to find the path was closed to the public at the moment. TFTC
Out with jemalucy, misssusan, bennyboppers and mnance. We pulled into the carpark and made a quick stroll to gz, no one about at the time so we had no trouble hunting around, jemalucy made the find after a small search. Tftc.
Out caching with Misssusan, Lisylou, jemalucy and Bennyboppers. Quick find by jemalucy. TFTC!
I hope council don't cut the grass. GPS was a little out, but easy enough.
Today's caching adventure is a long mini milestone hike at Binna Burra. I am still 15 caches short of the prescribed number, so after an early start, I planned to grab 8 or so around here before heading south.
This was the first of the day, just as it started getting light. The GPS had me standing out in the open between the fence and treeline. The terrain rating pointed to not having to go over the edge. So I searched along the trees and scrub at the top of the bank. The clue didn't make any sense to me and the logs weren't much help.
This is a not a good start. Called the DNF and walked nearby to the next (another DNF also).
Thanks for the cache, Mortified and the Fourbees.

I'm not sure the plant looks anything like the dog from the tv show anymore. Lol. A quick find. Thanks.
This was the first cache for the day, as my intention was to do the Bulimba Creek Bikeway series.
Used the bikeway all the way to its current end and until the compass pointed straight left. At the other end of the dog park, the compass went nuts and couldn't make up its mind on where and how far the GZ is. Even the good old Garmin didn't help here - it was more consistent but lost, as well.
Read the hint but got totally confused: from which location, which plant? Neither of them made any sense from where I was. So, the only thing left is a methodical search from left to right, up and down.
After quite a few minutes of poking arond, the container was right in front of my eyes. Good stuff!
It was suprisingly a bit exposed - didn't expect to find it from there - but seems to be its own little hidey hole, so after signing the log, back it went to where it was.

Out for a bike ride along the Bulimba Creek Bike Way and grabbed this cache along the way. Having found Dougal the cache was soon to hand.
Out caching with an out-of-town friend. Couldn't find this one on the first attempt, GPS had us approx 5m off. After researching the hint, it was a quick nab on the second time around - although I swear we looked there before TFTC!
Attempted this one before hitting the BCBW series. GPSr had us on the corner of the fence post. Knowing that was off our search widened but turned up nothing. The hint meant nothing to us.... So we headed for the BCBW series passing a Geo husband and Wife who were also attempting to grab the cache too! Anyway after our hit and miss BCBW series I googled the hint and had another attempt at the cache before going home. Cache located within a few minutes on the second try! TFTC
Got a belly full of yum cha. Now to walk it off. Saw a team of three also looking for this one. Neither I or Geo-Husband or the other team of three could find this. Not too sure about the hint of a plant looking like a dog. Didn't recognize any plant/dog like anything.
Catching up on my logs. Took some time and yes, I had my paperclip. Restowed snuggly again. TFTC Jumbucks
Out caching early this morning with Johnny_Cache. Found a few a long this bikeway. This was one of them. Thought the construction nearby wouldn't allow us to find this one but we had it within a minute. TFTC!
Geohubby and geo grandsons found this cache easily. TFTC Dropped off Geo-coin.
Nice little park just a quick one befor moving on to do a geotrail took geocoin left couple of kidie toys TFTC
Eventually found this one, it had me confused for a few minutes as the coordinates well they placed me about 10m from where I found this cache.
The clue did not help me either as I have no idea what that show is or what the dog looks like. However pressure from the approaching mowers had me digging a little quicker and a little further and i come up with the cache, signed my name and onto the next.

Out and about with the Captain to search for a few newly released caches. This one was close by so we detoured so I could find it. A very quick hunt at GZ had the cache in hand.

Out and about with teamdfl on another of our Mad Fridays
dfl had already got this one ages ago, but didn't recall where it was, so I was on my own. However, I really made a mess of it We walked over from a nearby cache, then got to GZ, but I couldn't spot the cache. Then my GPS sent us into the dog area, so we climbed over the fence, but the the GPS sent us back out, so we climbed the fence again Back to GZ, and another search, followed by a read of the Descrition and Hint, and then dfl finally spotted it and gave me a shove in the right direction. Glad to make it a smilie in the end. TFTC, thefourbees.

Wasn't able to find it the first time. Decided to research what the dog from the magic roundabout looks like and I can see the similarity where I eventually found the cache after a second look.
Thanks for the cache thefourbees!

I don't know how I missed this listing last time I came here for lunch? Perhaps it was offline, or I was having a very bad day. I remember when we started caching, I would check for caches at the lights and this one came up on Mt Gravatt Capalaba road as one of the closest. Finally turned into a (new, weird) smiley . TFTC
I must be one of the few people who actually got the hint? Or is my (middle) age showing? I have friends with two of these puppies.
GPSR had me wandering aimlessly somewhere between the dog park fence and GZ
No muggles around and a quick forage and nabbed me a cache All is in good order here.
Took the TB so it can continue its travels!

Too hot for dogs to be out while I found this one today. The clue went straight over my head but it was an easy find none the less. TFTC.
Spent half hour in the dark. Husband got cranky. Went with the TRICs and dug a bit deeper. TFTC
Up North today for my last dentists appointment so I just had to fit in some of my favourite game.
I was too early for my appointment so I headed up the road to this one.
Near GZ the GPS was telling me the location was at the fence which it obviously was not so I did a bit of a wider search and was rewarded by a find.
Thanks Four Bees TFTC SL TNLN

Good News! I noticed this one was disabled, but a check of previous logs indicated a logbook was still to be had. 'Why not have a look?' I said to myself.
So after class today made a big detour to get to the parking area for this one. Only one family of muggles about and no issues from them. I walked over the crunchy grass towards GZ and started to look about. The hint was lost on me. I soon spotted a.. something.. down the bank. So I took a step, went for a slide and grabbed it. Well bugger me, it is the cache container.. as in, the bottom bit. I tossed it up the bank and headed up. Inside it sill had the cache note and 2 swaps. Not sure how that went missing for so long, it was very obvious today. So I looked about for the other half, the half that everyone has found, and sure enough, it was not far away. I added my name to the dry logbook, put that in the container and put the lid back on.
So basically, the cache is in perfect condition and no longer in need of maintenance. I guess it was a good thing I checked this one out afterall, I sure felt good having fixed it by sheer fluke. TFTC thefourbees

First of two finds today at 12:51:00 PM. The recent rain made my approach to this cache quite wet to foot I was expecting a more difficult find especially since there were birthday celebrations at the tables across the way.
Instead, I immediately spotted what looked to be a sistema lid, logbook and zip lock bag. I dug about to see if I could find the bottom for the cache but I couldn't find it. Despite the recent rain the logbook was dry so I could sign it without difficulty. I replaced the logbook in the zip lock bag, under the lid and covered it all. I'll log a separate needs maintenance log.
When I got back to the car I noticed my tyres also got into the muddy spirit and made interesting sounds as I drove away.

I looked everywhere and under all the plants and couldn't find it. Then I ignored all the logs and looked down the steep embankment and found the green lid in the photo I've attached. I couldn't see a container but I could see a ziplock bag further down...is this the cache? If so, someone or something unfriendly has found it.
Found with my mum & dad {whint and baddal} and sister {Gambler2000} & Net88

sorry for copying and pasting but i have to log around 60 caches...found with d-man2006, Net88 and whint&baddal.found this one only because i was looking at a water dragon.

To begin with I went down that stupid steep embankment just to make sure it wasn't down there... nope... you do not need to break your neck getting down there :/
{was pleased to see that it wasn't in the dogpark }
Cache was found pretty quickly though and there is no hill climbs necessary

This was a pretty quick find. We walked over to the area and as i was reading the map i heard a "found it" Signed the log and moved onto next cache. Thanks for the cache
Pulled up at the dog park to find a single dog and its owner. My father distracted the owner with small talk while I ran over to find the cache. I myself own a cache in a dog park containing powerlines, so I was easily within my comfort zone. Now where could this thing be? Upon reaching GZ, I noticed the steep decent. "Oh god I hope it's not down there" I said to myself. Some rustling a couple of meters away shifted my attention to a large water dragon sitting on a stick. My sudden reaction must have scared it away, but right next to where it had been sitting was the cache Grabbed it and signed the log.
TFTC, and thanks to my scaly friend.

Had to intimate some muffles away as we didn't have a dog to use as a disguise. Took the domino.

Not what we expected but nevertheless we found it. Accompanied by Mudtrax, Mr Nibbles and Vertigo91. Enjoyed hundting with mates.TFTC.
visited with Mudtrax and 2 shadows as Mr Nibbles and i have already been here we sent them of on the hunt.........and then helped with the find so we could move on to Daisy Hill.
Some problems with a nearby canine who protested to our presence but in time, the owner moved on and the cache was spotted after a bit of a hunt around. GPS was feeling a bit bouncy under the trees today. A couple of muggles have signed the log book. Thanks thefourbees
No luck today. We had a look everywhere and came up empty handed.
Maybe next time...

My first geocache adventure. Traipsed around in the rain for a while to find it, a very fun day indeed.
found this one on our way home from a day in brissy.
had a coin that needed to move on so droped it here for someone else to collect and move on again.
great spot for a BBQ or Picnic
TFTC TN left Geocoin
Cheers

TFTC. What a great dog park. GeoDog loved it. Not a muggler in sight. The clue was helpful. TN Left Rabbit and a domino. Lots of goodies in this one.
My 2nd find since starting caching
The 'Dougal' / 'Cousin It' clue was a good (& necessary) clue.
Thanks

Found it on about the 13/4/11 but forgot to post. TFTC good spot, kids had fun. Went early enough in the afternoon so not many around.
Nice quick find in the rain. Had the whole park to myself. Clue helpful if you know what Dougal looks like. For those who did not grow up with the Magic Roundabout you might want to look for a mini Cousin It. The plant is growing up.
After waiting half an hour for some muggles to go from teh dog park i walked straight to GZ.
It took me 5 minutes but the cache soon in hand and the log book signed.
Then it was a quick leg back to the car for some nice and cool airconditioning.

This was next on the hitlist. Hmm dog park. As I lack a hound - these can be a challenge. Thankfully this was not a problem for this one. Council muggles were present - but about 100m away and were busy doing other things. I locatd the cache after a small hunt. It is in great condition. TFTC thefourbees
The kids just loved caching on the southside today as we seemed to come across a playground at every second cache and this was no exception. We managed to drag them away long enough to provide a distraction for the muggles in the dog park as we looked at the possible hiding spots. The cache was located in the second one thankfully. TFTC
Had no idea what the hint referred to, but it didn't take too long to locate anyway. I was very impressed with the variety of detritus the floods had left in the creek, including a few road barriers, a sofa, and what might have part of a shipping container! TFTC. ='.'=
We used the grandkids to distract the muggles as we searched. Happily it was a quick find. TFTC
No luck for us today .Could not remember what Dougal looked like until I googled Dougal when we got home!
We had the place to ourselves so it didn't take long to find "Dougal".
Thanks for the cache
