We were thinking of giving this one a go and after reading the DNF's for over a year we thought there wasn't much point. CO might like to have a look to confirm.
Cache not found. Judging by the comments, it needs attention. Lovely spot tho and a great walk from the ferry! Would have been a great cache!
It's been a while since anyone found this. Could it be lost? I found a perfect hiding spot which fitted with the clue. Either way it's a lovely location!
Couldn't find it. Searched everywhere. Right near waters edge do may have washed away.
Dnf either but enjoyed coming to this lovely spot and having lunch and a swim. No sign of the cache.
Our second try at finding this cache but no such luck. Might try for a third time in a few weeks. Maybe it's gone?
Stayed at One Mile Beach Holiday Park for the holiday with Australian Deaf Caravan & Camping Group
Accompanied with whitepaws9 for the day

A lazy day around Nelson Bay with Bettyboo, and then in the afternoon a short ride down to Fingal Bay.
Not sure that Dutchies is much of a secret on a sunny Sunday morning
We walked down to the beach, then along the shore line to GZ.
A bit early for the sunset shot though.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 4426. This area sure was busy today. Think the secret's out! We looked rather strange in long trousers and hiking gear when everyone else was dressed for the warm sunny day and a paddle. Found the cache without too much bother, doesn't seem to be wedged tight any more. In good condition though. TFTC
Another easy find with friend as we enjoyed a cache hunt of this lovley area. SL..TFTC
It took a while to find after having lunch over looking Dutchies Beach. We scrambled around in the long shrubs until the cache was spotted. TFTC
Another good cache located while on holiday in the area.
Signed log here then on to the next one!

The sun was setting and the cache was quickly found. If I had company I reckon I would have been sitting on the beach and singing pass the dutchie to the left hand side. Hippies will know what I am talking about. Tftc swapped tbs A favourite as well.

While Mrs Grub Fred was waiting in Tomaree Hospital for her mother to be admitted for an oil change and grease (or something), I was given the go-ahead to do a little caching, second attempt lucky, dropped off LittleRed Dolphin TB who has been hangin' to get back with some friends, thought I'd never find another MADSTARS hide (are you ever coming back?), TFTC MADSTARS!!
I had promised Geokid8 a "rock scramble" today, and when the rain cleared in the afternoon decided to fulfil my promise. As seems to be my habit over the past few days, we mistimed low tide and came here at a much higher-than-desired water level, which prevented an "easy" path in. We first came down at a point from which the likely GZ was inaccessible, so went back up and then down further along, where we could look at a few spots. The phone's GPS was playing up (another habit of the past few days - hope it is OK), so it took look a little while to find the Spot, but eventually we spotted a familiar caching sight. We took and left nothing, signed the log, then returned up the hill. The sunset was cool, but even cooler was the dolphin just 10m off shore at the other end of the beach. TFTC!
Just chillin' & taking in the view! Perfect!
Left something to help you enjoy a few beers! Next visitors will find out!

Nice, peaceful walking track away from the hustle and bustle of Nelson Bay CBD. Loved the hiding place. Thankfully the tide was out. Came unprepared and left nothing...sorry. Took pink bangle for Geokid. SL. TFTC.
Left Mrs Grub Fred and her mother in the Mighty Prado after lunch at Fingal Bay Bowlo, tramped around like a madman forever with the GPS going crazy (or was that me), how come everybody else can find this, "What about me? It isn't fair..."
Nice quiet little beach compared to others west of Nelson bay. Approached from the path & followed the track. Nice hidey spot. Good views but sun in the eyes this time of day 5pm. Took Madagascar zebra in cannon, left clip. #139 tftc
We ventured toward Nelson Bay with DiMorgan for a good day of caching. The weather was overcast but quite pleasant. We had a list of caches to wanted to find and this was one of them. This is such a scenic part of the coast which makes caching most enjoyable.
Thanks to MADSTARS.

We have spent the day geocaching with Liz & Bruce. Headed to beautiful Nelsons Bay where we saw
wonderful beaches, sand dunes & crystal blue water. Found many caches along paths & trails. A very successfull day of caching. Took the long way to walk to Dutchies.

Love this spot. GPS a bit off but clue helped us find it. Closer to the tree stump than the water... TFTC
30/09/12 11:04 AM. Cache #125. 4th one in a 2-hour 15-cache frenzy while holidaying up here on the long weekend. Headed here after Stairway to Heaven. Found pretty quickly.
Left Geodad and Geokid watching the AFL grand final. Much preferred this lovely spot. Reasonably easy find having read the clue but the GPS was pointing out a spot about 8 metres away. TFTC
After some scrambling and a little searching found the cache and a lovely blue tongue nearly feel victim to my boot as i scrambled back up.
Decided to walk to this geocashe as we were in the area for a few days. Almost gave up when the terrain and I thought to myself 'what would Bear Grylls do?' Read some of the recent logs and pushed on. Was rewarded by finding it in a flash! Great hide, thanks for the beautiful moment to myself.
Another day of caching around Corlette and Salamander Bay
This one had us a bit confused and stumbling about getting all cut up by the cutty grass. Eventually worked my way down to GZ and uncovered the cache.Took pen left 1952 penny. Thanks MADSTARS.

2135 GAFF3 (Must be one of the last one of MADSTAR's left with a D+T>4 that I need to find)
Having been here before (at night) I thought I'd take a different tack, going by previous logs. Still a little 'hairy' in places, but not like coming down and bashing along.
With the clue it was a lot easier.
Left pen, pencil, Correct Site Marker, scissors, and bag for logbook.
Took: snake, and a 69Shelby "SummerLuving" TB.
Another for the 'Night Caching thesis'
TFTC MADSTARS (whereever you are.)
Coins, and shirt through

Another torchlight find. Came down the track from the park bench. After looking for a while, I figured this was one for another day, but barely two steps back and the torchlight hit the spot. SL and dropped Summer Lovin TB. TFTC
Great little spot. Thanks for bringing us here.
Took pool ball left smurf and sinkers.

2200 - 2300 Probably not the best time to be looking for it, especially 'GAFF1'. The joys of caching without cache notes.
Got far too many grass cuts for this nurse - alcohol hand scrub STINGS.
Will try some other time.

We couldn't do the beach entry as the end was barracaded due to the work there so we came from the top. Loved this place and we had it all to ourselves. A top spot for a drink, a sit, a cache or all of the above. TFTC Madstars.
Found after walking down from the top. Pretty tricky for those uninitiated with rock hopping. We saw a few blue tongues and other lizard types. What an aawsome spot for a cache
Cheers from Browngang

great one - recommend approaching from the beach (easy) with little geo-kids as coming down the other way a bit tricky for 4 year olds!
It took us a while to ramble around and find this cache. The GPSr had us fighting long grass and lots of velcro in some precarious places, but in the end geo boy said what about here? Sure enough there it was. A classic tough hunt ends in success. Dropped TB up from Canberra, TFTC.
Ieft ball took car..Gr8 spot found with digger daisy...on a geo day fun fun fun
climb down, climb flat & climb up was a challange TFTC

We were flagging by the time we made it to this one - it was late afternoon & lunch was just a bit overdue. So we were happy when Bedawn found this one & we could go look for lunch.

A couple of rock hoppers and a fisherman were sharing this loverly spot, found this one and signed log for the three of us. Thanks MADSTARS.
I enjoyed this short walk down to the shore and search among the rocks. Bedawn found the cache. Thanks
Nice location, but for future cacher's, you don't need to bush bash! I picked up not 1 but 5 large tic's in the long grass while my darling wife called 'found it' from down below. Don't let it put you off, it is a nice location just avoid the long grass above the rocks. Thanks again Madstars.
The weather was just too good today.
After doing an airport run to Williamtown today, I took the two geodaughters to Dutchies for some sand castle construction, a swim, some exploring and, of course, some geocaching.
Cache still in good order.
