I've decided to archive this one as the original hiding place has been destroyed when the cache was muggled. I've also decided to retire this user name. BUT - look for a replacement in the area soon by another geocacher. "Return to Willowbrook Hollow" will be in a slightly larger container, and in a different less muggle prone area. The cache notes will be cleaned up a bit too with better Waymarking for points of interest. Thanks to those who found this one, and sorry to the past two seekers who arrived post-muggling.

DNF: Ack! We found what we think is the cache hiding place, the most obvious location near GZ, but alas, there was no-one home. This one may have been muggled (or we were just in the wrong place, it does happen).

This turned out to be a bit of a dissapointment, I had to pick a friend up from the airport so I diverted to do this cache, but all I found was a cliplock bag and a caching kids notes paper, it looks as though the guy who left his empty bottle at GZ may have muggled the cache. I did enjoy reading the history of the area and I enjoyed the nice looking park. I signed the back of the caching kids paper and placed it in the cliplock bag and hid it where I think the cache was, but I guess I
cant really claim a find on it, Thanks anyway.

Yes - this one has been pretty badly muggled. They even destroyed part of the tree hollow that this was hidden in.
I'll put out a new cache in the area at some point and at different coordinates.
Thank you for those that found it when it was intact and my apologies to the last cacher who only found the reminants.

This was my first find, what great fun. People hanging around so didn't actually retrieve the cache from it's spot but I will go at a quieter time and check it out again.

An interesting bit of history of the area.
We came by car tonight, so it was a short walk instead of a bike ride.
A quick find, after stuffing about around the airport.
Thanks, Robmc.

A nice quick find! Seems like a nice little spot although by now it was getting dark so a tad hard to see.
Thanks graemeap

Found by Team Ladava around 1pm
What a lovely historic area we have not previously visited and we really appreciated the amount of information in the cache notes. We even took the time to go to the additional listed coordinates to admire the bluestone.
On to the cache and one of the first cricket games of the season was in progress on the oval but despite the occasional spectator in their cars and all the windows looking at us from every direction we hope the dogs we were walking made us invisible.

Our thanks to graemeap for a very enjoyable historic cache.

Fifth cache of the morning. Does anyone cache on Wednesdays?? I think not as all so far have been really quiet, great! Neat little park, although Mr Clarke Rubber was napping in his van, so had to be strategic. There is an excellent bakery across the creek - divine pastries!! T4TC Took TB Smile

Stayed the night nearby after collecting CAT from the airport. They arrived all the way from Holland, lil' Chris travelled well and is loving Australia.

First find on the way to the snow, the cache was very obvious on the way to GZ.
Signed log and hid a little better after the find.

A nice little hollow. Plenty of muggles about today - and perhaps a fellow geocacher judging by their manner? Therefore I had some difficultly replacing the cache but eventually thought - blow it!
I placed a compass in here and also the trackable Aragorn who is moving for the first time in almost a year (probably due to lack of shooes now?) . TFTC.

This little pocket of old westmeadows is not far from where my parents lived for a time back in the late 70's so I know it quite well.
Initially approached from the wrong side of the creek so I had to cross back over for an easy find.
Thanks for showing me this spot.

As we are locals, we were quite surprised to discover such a lovely place in our area. A Warrandyte of the west! Smile

*FTF* at 9:40am, 8 Sept 2009.

I've always loved the feel of this little pocket of "Broadmeadows" - such a pity it's tainted by the reputation of the suburb! Lovely old churches, pubs and bridges.

Coordinates were spot-on, and the cache was quickly found in an obvious location. Signed log, took FTF certificate. Many thanks for a new cache in a great location.
