916 - 2 for today. Found on 2/01/11 10:54 AM
2nd attempt. Either the hint is wrong or I interpreted it wrong because where I located the cache was not where I thought it would be. Decided to give a more thorough search and eventually the cache was located. TNSLLN

27-Dec-10
After a bit of searching we found the log book on the ground and the container with no lid separated from it. I put the container in a zip lock bag with some cache in it. No pencil so bring your own. Needs to be fixed but it's on high ground. Go past the beautiful tree.

28-Nov-10
Last find in August, cache check may be in order.

28-Nov-10
12:54p. Searched under and around boulders with no luck. Spotted either a lizard or snake under one boulder, didn't disturb it.

31-Oct-10
Even after reading the hint we looked under all the likely candidates and found a few good hiding spots, but no cache. Sad

15-Aug-10
Nice view from the top of the nearby rock. Looked right at it but didn't spot it on my first look around... TFTC

Walking in from where we parked we found some workers performing some grooming. But they were far enough away from the cache ground zero that we were not worried. we wandered until we ran out of cleared path. Anna and I looked at each other as Richary disappeared into the bush. We heard him scramble and scuffle and then heard nothing at all. We decided we had better follow! Nervous about what we were getting ourselves into Anna called out for Richary because it had been a while since we heard a sound -- "have you found it yet?" Anna called out. "not yet" we heard from a distance. Haha! we followed his voice and finally caught up to him. The cache and logbook were in hand shortly there after. An excellent adventure!! Thanks!

11-Apr-10
Found this one while taking semik who was over visiting from the USA out for a day's caching in the area. Found about 10 but only 4 new ones and this was one. Found after managing to get to GZ which was a little challenge in itself but not too hard. Nice little park with some good views. Grabbed the TB. Thanks ilfordcurly.

08-Apr-10
Found just after 2pm, took a while to find the bush track. It is quite over grown!!!
I have driven past the reserve many times but did not until now know it was there.
Took Trackables: HOTEI - the Budda and Pakko - the Dog?

Left Trackable: Roo and a Serendipity Rock

TFTC found with mum on a sunny thursday

28-Mar-10
Amasing spot in the middle of suburbia with great views of long reef. Kite surfer's paragliders all in evidence, Thanks. Dropped off Hotie the budda and Pakko from star wars. TBs. Picked up "Living the dream" GC.

Eventually found the bush track after circling Wingala from all directions and fought the spider webs to GZ. Amazing spot of bush in the middle of Curl Curl. Thanks. TNLN

15-Feb-10
O.k., so for the future we learned again that every cache should have a geocaching sticker on it or have the name just written on the box!!
This time it was definately the right box we put the TB in!
Luckily no ticks on us but two or three more mozzie bites!!
TFTC

15-Feb-10
The container is a clear plastic jar, about 500mL, like what canned fruit comes in, with a watertight plastic lid. I dont think you have found the right container. You had better move your geocoins. I can't get there this week. Please let me know how you go.

15-Feb-10
Cheers, we will hopefully make it again tonight or tomorrow evening
and change the location of the TB.
And man I am all confused today as well,
I just remembered that we did not even leave the Coin in this one, but in the other one we found on Valentines Day!!

14-Feb-10
We did not meet or see any muggles anymore when we got there.
All a bit muddy today and I do not know whether we found another fake box but it was boring, had nothing inside (where is the log book?)
We did also leave a TB and a GeoCoin in here, so if the box is not the right one we have to come back and change it !??
If it is, it is also growing an ant farm!!

14-Feb-10
Just adding the drop off of this GeoCoin!!
And maybe we just did not look long enough for the logbook in the 'mouth of the jar' (so we did not see it)
because of all the mozzies!!
Oh and I might have written 14/02/09 on the note we left by accident still!!

14-Feb-10
A short little stroll to the Gz past all these people doing stuff like planting and such. They paid no attention to us. TFTH....SL...TNLN

14-Feb-10
The local muggles were working in a few locations throughout the park. We found the cache easily in the end. SL TNLN TFTH

31-Jan-10
This was a pretty untamed bit of bushland - it must have been heaps fun to play here as a kid. We found a little path that led us right to the appropriate spot and spotted the cache location right away. I knew better than to test the wooden boards with my additional weight with a heavy steel keg on there already so we still don;t know what's underneath there. Thanks ilfordcurly for the bit of history too Smile

30-Jan-10
Thanks for the clue it made it easy to locate the cache, it was fun hunting in the rough bush.TFTC

01-Jan-10
We found this on New Years day. We collected Barney and a nice juicy tick.
After we removed the tick from geo-daughters shoulder all was well.

27-Dec-09
A good adventure to get here.

27-Dec-09
Originally my partner and I had misinterpreted the hint, this lead us to searching higher ground but soon after sitting to take a break (and enjoy the awesome view in the process), we realised that it indicated something else. The cache was found soon after. TNLN TFTC

27-Dec-09
A very interesting spot indeed. I can see how kids would love to play in this area... I even found myself swinging from the trees a bit. Took a while to find the cache due to my lack of recognition of a small, but significant, grammatical choice in the hint... Either way my partner and I found it and enjoyed the view. TNLNSL. TFTC!

23-Dec-09
TFTH, kiwi on holiday, thought i would do a couple of caches and enjoyed tramping through the bush although i was abit scared of spiders and snakes and any other thing i thought i would come across, alone ROFL...
Saw a keg in its natural environment too... first time for that so thought i would take a picture... its seems to have made itself a wee hut, quite cute....

17-Dec-09
This was a difficult one, I parked too far away and as today is so hot I was struggling before I even began but I somehow managed to find the cache after a difficult trek through the trees and down some big rocks, on the way out I found a path and it took about a minute.

Found this cache during my Australian caching holidays.
That was a hard one, because I didn't found a path and therefore entered the wilderness from the south.
TFTC and cheers from Germany,

06-Nov-09
Looks like there has been quite a party near the cache, lots of broken glass and a beer keg!
The cache is intact but found the Regions of Germany geocoin on the ground in plain sight. I've taken the coin and will drop it off somewhere on the weekend.

Found while on holiday from England visiting my son and future daughter-in-law in Dee Why, although I had my GPS with me, took a while to find an entrance to the hide area but once there found with no problems, nice hide, Thanks for the cache.

01-Nov-09
Found it but no pen. Beautiful sunny Sydney day. TFTC. Took TB

01-Nov-09
Went to check on the cache and add a pencil. Fould that someone had already left a pen, thank you.
Silly me, went at night, without the GPS, lucky I had some geokiddies with me, with a sense of direction or I might still be bush bashing around in there!
Left Barney TB who wants to surf around the world, can anyone help him? He has been going for two years and has only come from Victoria! Took Geocoin. Used RID, no ticks!

Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin
I promised a swim after a warm day out
And with that promise
See it through, or the kids will pout

So with promise in mind, we headed for the sea
But I was in cache mode
And had to take a detour you see

But all is good, the cache was on route
And what’s more
You could see the sea, the argument is mute

Well no actually there was a war on hand
All they wanted was
A swim and a play in the sand

So a quick find,
Swap and
A log sign

Into the geotruck and headed for the sea
I think I got away with it
Even avoided a mutiny

29-Oct-09
We found the cache very quickly (after finding the right path in). When we arrived home we realised we had an extra pen.
SORRY!!! Can the next person who head to this cache please take and leave a pen.
Took: Blue Bracelet & Green Pen (oops).
Left Travel Bug (539589) MoneyMoneyMoney!

Sorry again about the pen.

Fairly easy to find. Nice spot. What is under those boards? Step around them. We also caught a tick. Left a shell necklace.

16-Oct-09
Challenging in the dark, even when we found the track out, we took a wrong turn and had to bush bash out.

11-Oct-09
Not easy to find the right path here.. at least from the outside.
The best part at GZ was climbing on top of the rocks. What great view from her!

Thanks for the hide,
Ben

04-Oct-09
Had an inkling that the long way around was the easiest way in... quickly found the right track, then more or less straight to the cache.
Take a good strong garbage bag / rubbish container in - seems the boozy bogans like this spot too.

Good read for the location - this is what caching is all about.

Down at DY for the morning with the geo-crew and found this one easily once we came in from below. First tried to get to GZ via the grassy reserve above but the asparagus fern and scrub was real thick. No ticks found (yet). Thanks Ilfordcurley.

Found this after battling through the bush on a very hot afternoon - so tiring we gave up on the other caches for the day! Clearly we approached this from the wrong side Smile

Found this cache with Psym.
We definitely went the wrong way, and were wearing the wrong clothes (beachy clothes) too. After 15 minutes clawing and crawling through the bushes, we ended up at GZ, where we soon found the cache. Walked back via the path that is meant to be taken, and walked back around to the car.

Figured this cache as good as any to use the new Oregon on for the first time. I started at the top, mmm? 2 tracks, took one, turned around, then the other, turned around, went down an oldish track into the trees and couldn't get any closer than 45m. Went down to the bottom & walked the full length of the reserve along the street. I figured if it is in there, then I am going to find how anyone can put it there. The way in was eventually discovered and about time too, it was now over 30 mins. The co-ords are spot-on which made it a quick find in the end.

The Turkey team jumped into the geo-mobile after being FTF on Roseville Rottie, and sped off to this hide.
2TF - Congrats to The Vikings on finding this one first.

A COUPLE OF WARNINGS TO CACHERS FOLLOWING.

1. TICKS THE SIZE OF SMALL DOGS FREQUENT THIS AREA.

2. HALF WAY ALONG THE TRACK TO THE CACHE IS WHAT LOOKS LIKE A TIMBER LID / DOOR TO A DISUSED SHAFT OF SOME KIND. THE TIMBER IS ROTTEN AND CREAKS AND MOVES UNDER FOOT.
DO NOT WALK ON IT !!!
IT MAY GIVE WAY !!!

Dropped off All Blacks Supporters TB.
TFTC and thanks for bringing me here.
Cache # 402.

FTF!!!!
Just got home from work, when the e-mail popped up. Jumped in to the Geomobile and took off.
Attacked the area from below, and was at GZ quickly. Did not see any Turkeys, ticks or other creatures around...
Realised I had been in a hurry, so run back to the car to fetch The Vikings signature stickers.
Took a Geocoin Deaf Awareness (not yet dropped in this cache), left a Legoman.
First cache on The Vikings second millenium.
