It has been a long time since Team SEAC did a numbers day, so we jumped on the chance to join when Keylev initiated this day. We started at 8 am and got home around 11 pm, and attempted most caches in Cambridge, Te Awamutu and finishing with a night cache in Huntly. On our mission today was Keylev, UncleSamNZ, Liverkiwi, Draffin, B4Dawn and HeMaLuDy. Caches were signed with SEAC to save space.
Based on what we could see on Google Satellite this area has been cleared and has changed dramatically. There are no trees and no stones here at all. We did search some likely looking spots across the road from the GZ but still no luck.

My first full day with Team SEAC! Very excited and a little intimidated! Very fun!
Sorry, don't find it

Like the Willy Nelson song, Team SEAC were On The Road Again. It had been quite a while since we had gathered to go on a road trip, so a trip to Cambridge was organised to clear out that town. All logs signed as S.E.A.C to preserve log space.
We approached GZ and got out of the cars. We went over to where we were meant to be searching only to find that nothing was as it should have been.

A number of Team SEAC banded together for a road trip day out targeting Cambridge and surrounds and ending up with a night cache. As per usual there were laughs, dramas, cache finding and a generally fun day!
No luck here for us today. Looks like there has been a lot of construction going on so it may have disappeared with that??

Really great place to hide a cache.
Very interesting....I must say I like my butter.
There may be a problem with the cache here as the gz seems to have undergone massive changes very recently?
Or maybe I didn't look properly....

Nice find. Out for a day of caching in cambridge. This find was a good surprise! Thanks!
Lol come out from finding the cache and a lady runner is going past. She has a big smile on her face. I think she thought I had gone for a wee. tftc
On a belated Xmas break with family in Cambridge. A very tricky park'n'grab on a busy road. Great care needed. Quick find at GZ. All good. Tftc!
Oh my gosh it looks amazing! Nice camouflage...if I was walking I would have never noticed!
Found on a good day. The rough track in the trees gave away the area but the leaves had covered it really well.
Very interesting to see this location and took Mrs GELY57 back a few years as she worked for the Dairy Company when we first came to NZ in 1977. Thanks CO for the cache.
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #937.
Thanks for cache. Finally we got around to finding it.
Had been many times a year or so ago..... success!

Not what I was expecting which is great sometimes not to be the obvious quick find glad it was a dry area today signed the log paced back nicely just waiting for another visitor
Cool little piece of history, but we were surprised by the cache location. Discrete placement made it easy to sign, tftc
Team BOP team up once again for an impromptu pre-Xmas caching mission in the Waikato.
Squirrel nutcase had his list of recent caches to clear the area again, Flossy had a few targeted, while Myself, Jandals and DC were going with the flow.
This was a quick find despite it being in a rather weird location.

On A road trip with Part of Team BoP. Have been having a poke around here and there and been taken to some great places, many thanks to all you COs for your placements. Was up early to make the most of the day. Cheers
Driving up to Auckland today for xmas, I wanted to grab a few caches along the way.
I was also taking the opportunity to catch up with friends in Cambridge I haven't seen for far too long, so whilst I was driving towards their place I managed to stop and find a cache or two. The time of day made it easy to drive up and park very close to GZ, after which it was simply a casual saunter over to the Hint object.
Once I simply trusted to the fact that the co-ords had brought me to the right point, I just dived in and the cache was a very easy find here so a quick signing of the log and then it was back into the car to drive around the corner for the meet up.
Thank you for the cache.

Was on the ground and almost covered by leaves. If it hadn’t been for the sun I never would have seen it! Cool find though!
Took longer than it should have done. After a rethink and reading a few logs, the cache was located.
Signed the log and replaced as found

It was difficult to get to but I managed to wriggle and contort myself there. I earned this one
Vegetation is a bit overgrown at GZ, and GPS wasn't quite that accurate but we still found the bison easily enough with the hint. Tftc
Unfortunately I had downloaded this cache offline a while ago and had not refreshed it. Luckily after a search that took longer than it should have, there was the pristine container in all its glory. Many thanks. Now not regular in size, more a micro.
Found this one quickly.
However, it was full of water, and the log was drenched. I managed to open and sign it on a random page, but it could definitely use some TLC.
I put the container upside down, so hopefully that will stop more water from getting into it.
The travelling fox is happy =^,^=

We are in the area of Cambridge and visit the nice little town. We found some containers.
Many thanks to the owner of the Moorhelmis from Germany

If all else fails just look for a track other cachers have made lol. The dog enjoyed crawling in under the trees to get to this one. Log a bit damp. Tftc
A nice quick park and grab thanks to very good coords. Thanks for the history lesson and TFTC!
Took a wee bit of looking but got there in the end. Cheers.
A short caching day to get from Waitomo to Hamilton. Time to find a few little boxes....
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Thanks for the history lesson - to think this was where Anchor Butter was first made. Easy find TFTC
Log and cache very wet so I left in the same spot only slightly higher off the ground to try to keep it dry.
Quick find heading out to karapiro on the cycle way. Hope the rain holds off. Cache a bit wet. Thanks for making us stop and read the history at this site. Tftc
Found ... Mrs McMike2012 & I decided that we would venture down Cambridge way to see what the Te Awa Cycle Trail was like ... decided we'd cycle from Cambridge to Lake Karapiro & back ... thought it would be rude not to to pick up a couple of caches on our travels ... this being the 6th of 7 for the day ... it was easily found & quickly replaced ... BTW: cache is wet, wet, wet ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,396 for us.
23/06/16 14:10 Dot Day. After being at a rather sad function nearby, time to grab a cache. The panel across the road was really interesting. Thanks for placing this cache to memorialise this place. Emptied cache of water & replaced where I thought it should've been, not in plain sight. Cheers, GC.
Went and had a look at the memorial before heading across the road to collect the cache. OMG the cars drive so by so fast here!

Parked the car nearby before finding the cache several minutes later after a thorough search, what a wonderful history lesson regarding Anchor, we've learned something new thanks to geocaching which we would have otherwise been oblivious to, there was water inside the container again which is to be expected but the log was perfectly dry inside it's protective plastic bag, sl and raf, tftc and the history lesson . Greetings from Bury in Lancashire, England.
