In between trips OS, fires and life in general I haven't gotten to this one. I'll duck by and drop off an ammo tin on my way to work soon.
Did the calculations and headed to GZ. Searched back and forth under everywhere. Checked our calcs but cache not to be found.
Found today chillin in the carpark next to a pole in the great wide open! Re-hid. Owner might want to check.
After visiting the cache at the bridge and not finding that one, I proceeded to this one. Phew, luckily an easy cache to find. Thanks for hiding!
We decided a return trip to Kooragang was needed, our first was great, our second miserable, with two DNFs. After seeing a find on this after our DNF, we had to recheck.
How embarrassing.... I fairly sure I checked the spot before, although most efforts previously were on the opposite side. Always nice to find a big cache, and turn a DNF to a smiley.
Thanks Big Matt and Shell....

We loved the walk. Ended up going all the way to the old school master's house. Cache was found easy. We cleaned it up a bit and removed the rusty items and replaced the ziplock bag. Left a few toys for the next geokids too.
Thanks for this cache, found right where I expected thanks to this hint was a quick cache and enjoyable experience.
We did a full lap of the walk just for fun before working out the coordinates and locating gz.
?? I'm sure we had the right coords for GZ too.... scoured the place....
I hate sweating a gallon of sweat, and losing a gallon of blood to mozzies for a DNF!

Nice simple multi on a the boardwalk I have ventured along before, thanks for the cache big matt and shell
Called in and checked on this one today. It was on the ground and the log was open. Tipped out a bit of water and then replaced it. Good to go again.
Found. Had to ring a friend to determine where to look for the required information. Then a short walk and quick find. TFTC
Prefect weather today for us go out some caches at Hunter wetlands national Park...
Nice multi easy and lovely walked on pathway to GZ...
Sign in as no trouble..

Another warm sunny day, so we headed out to pick up some caches in the Newcastle area.
A nice little multi, and we enjoyed the walk to locate the cache.
Took the only trackable we sighted, to move it on. 'Valentino' was not sighted in the cache.
Couldn't' resist completing the board walk, as it was such a beautiful area.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Big Matt and Shell, for us and others to find.

A quick find on a cool and windy day. I think this is the last of the Ash island caches for me. I do like that caching has encouraged me to explore this area - even more than I had to go fishing in the past. TNLN TFTC
Enjoyed work out the multi and nice walk along to GZ. Nice area (watch out mosquitoes) but didn't bother me. Signed the log. Thanks Big Matt and Shell.
My geofriends and i drive around to Newcastle and stop to question on the sign.. zoom to found.. Yay.. hide well.. thank
We are heading to Newcastle for a few days of caching & to attend the Halloween Event.
We picked up afew along the highway.
After leaving our caravan we set out to do a few caches in the local area around Tomago & Stockton.
A great day visiting the many different locations.
Thanks for placing this cache Big Matt and Shell

TFTC!!! It was a lovely sunny day today so we thought we would get out & do some geo's. We had saved this one for the daytime & it was such a lovely walk today. Great spot =)
Nice little multi, and helps when you put the right numbers in. Pulled up found the info, and then put coords in, found bench (thanks for the stopper) rechecked and found I had put one digit in wrong. Quick find once I was where I was supposed to be. TFTC yet another big mat & shell cache.
Racked my brains over this puzzle yesterday, but couldn't get the GZ to where I thought it should be.
I was way over thinking the difficulty of this one. A keener eye than mine pointed me in the right direction today - I could kick myself.

I tried to get my son and get here before the sun set. It was just going down when we arrived. Pulled straight into a park and tried to entertain junior while working out the coordinates. He ran off straight to GZ, but I didn't know that. So I carried him back, while ripping my pocket so everything falls straight through. I unloaded as much from my pockets into the car and went back to the sign that was not helping. So after a while we walked across the road and finding that that sign was two signs dancing went back and worked out the coordinates. We got to GZ and took longer to get out then to find. From the description we knew there was a bench further along to perform caching duties. We returned the cache and headed back to the car. By then it was getting quite dark.
Thanks for the nice walk, I’ll have to come back when there’s more light to see the other end!

Took but a moment to find the sign and get the information - and with a quick jog followed by a quick search found easily but had great fun finding it With Thisisreallyfunny

After finally locating the right sign, we put the co-ords into the GPS and we were off. At GZ, we had trouble finding it. We found a rat in a tree stump, but no cache. We then read some logs and saw that the cache was on the other side. We quickly found it, and returned it back to co-ords.
Thanks for the cache Big Matt and Shell.
After a delayed start due to someone sleeping in (me), Cccritter7, 88jaz88 and I set off on our big trip. We headed through Jesmond and along the freeway. We stopped for a cache at the wetlands, then continued along to the Sandgate Cemetery. We picked up 2 caches along Maitland Road, then turned into Ash Island. We managed to pick up all the caches in Ash Island, also admiring the amazing views. We then headed to the Tourle Street Bridge, and headed along towards the Coal Terminals, picking up a cache along the way. We continued along towards the Dinosaur bridge, and picked up the first in the series of caches on the bridge. We went underneath, and after finding it, both Cccritter7 and I developed flats. We luckily were able to replace them, and continued up to the bridge, and along. We found the rest of the bridge series, and headed for Stockton. Unfortunately, after we found our first cache along the way, my back wheel had gone down. I pumped this up, then discovered my front was flat too! It looked like I had ridden through a patch of mutant cat-eyes when we pulled them out. I then walked the bike the 3-ish k's to the ferry terminal while the other two grabbed a few caches in Stockton. We reunited at the terminal, hopped on, then hopped off again in Newcastle. We went to a nearby bike shop, had my tires repaired, then we discovered 88jaz88 had a flat too! After having everything repaired, we followed the bike track from civic to Islington, picking up several along the way. We then got into Broadmeadow and onto the bike track, and we headed back to base. Unfortunately, I still had a way to go, but it was plenty of fun. 54kms, 5 punctures, plenty of caches and tons of fun!

Waiting for a muggle to leave, we awkwardly rode around in circles. He than left and we went from sign to sign, trying to find the correct one. Eventually we returned to the first sign we were looking at and after some numbers were crunched we were on our way. Found a possum/rat/something at GZ whilst searching.
After a failed attempt to gather these caches on wednesday, 88jaz88, Patches108 and I set out. We went through Jesmond, to the UNI, Wetlands, Sandgate...had a quick stop at the floodgates and across to Ash Island. We had a fantastic time caching around the island...loved the scenic views and slightly rough trails. The places geocaching takes you!!! We had a brief lunch at the northen most point of our journey then continued on. I also admired the historical side of the island. We then jumped onto Tourle street where Jaz was swooped by a Magpie. Funny times!!! After that we headed to Army View where Patches and I both got a flat. We changed them under the bridge and continued on up it. Once at Stockton, we headed south on the cycleway and unfortunately Pat got two flats...one on each wheel what is the luck?? Jaz and I then decided it would be best to cut our losses so we rode out to get a few. We met back up at the ferry at 2 and went to the local bike shop (CFN) where they helped replace the tubes and we were on our way. At this point it was getting on 3 o'clock and we decided to make the dash home via a few unique areas. After a ride through carrington, islington, broadmedow via the small powertrail, I was back home.
Thanks to all cache owners for their time and effort in placing these awesome caches and showing us some great areas.

Enjoyed this one. Simple but a little different. Lots of junk in this one. Kids might be disappointed if they're looking to trade.
Took us a while to figure out how to get the coords, but soon saw the numbers.
Loaded with coords for GZ we were on our way. Like everyone else though, we had issues with the location. It's almost as if someone has moved it to the other side... GRR!

Couldn't find the first point but looked at the pictures and pretty much just gave it away
Got to the starting point and found out we forgot the repellent, but still managed to find it before we lost to much blood to the mozzies
Nice little boardwalk here, As good as any for my 100th cache find. Found with WebbyHRT, tftc
(Late logging of Find - 1/2/13) Found with Cookie after our road trip North.
Nice not having to pedal.
Will have to get Cookie to check my stats, but I think this one will help with a potential Challenge.

1200 GAFF2 Taking a while to find the first one today (4 x DNFs).
Nice to get easy clues, no need for geo-checker.
Not too many mozzies, as there was a pleasant breeze. What can I say, without giving it away - a nice hide; and cache nice and dry.
Left: a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen.
Brought through for mileage: Coins - 3Bros, Lighthouses, IconicBridges, B2B, Baa, Neigh Neddy and Oink, Signal 2006, Geocaching Australia 2006, 100 Finds, CITO Tag, Red Racing Ninja #4 TB, and trackable shirt.

Found after realising I had overthought it a bit too much. Nice walk, took dice, left badge
Finally managed this one between muggles there always seemed to be some here when i was. As purplepeopleater said spent too long searching for the clues until yes also a homer moment. The cache location was then found about 2 meters from where the gps was saying. TFTC
I spent far too long searching for the clues until I had one of those Homer Simpson Doh!! moments. After loading the solution into the GPSr I was a little perplexed as I was expecting a longer walk so double checked my solution. Oh well let's give it a try, and sure enough the coords were good as after a quick search I had cih.
What a very pleasant surprise Kooragang Island turned out to be.

Found after using previous visitors picture ad a clue as co ords were off with my device. Thanks for the cache, never been to this spot before. A nice little reserve
Gathered the required info and set off. iPhone gps let us down badly so we had a crack and found it without it.
We thought we should do a bit of caching on Ash Island as there are a few in the area and we have not been here before. Pulled up just on sunset. There was a muggle family here that we had seen at a couple of other places nearby and thought they were cachers but they weren't. Because it was late they soon left us to our caching. Quickly solved the puzzle and headed to GZ. We forgot to bring the torch so Mrs C went back to the car for it while I groped about in the dark. Found the cache and was signing the log when she got back. Thanks Big Matt and Shell.
Tftc it sent me 10000 km in the opposite direction. So went for a walk and had a look.
Enjoyed this but was really confused when I was expecting nearly 500m walk, TFTC Big Matt and Shell!!
Got a spot of caching in with the kids today. I have been saving the ash island caches for a day like today. The kids loved it and the mozzies were calm for once. Easy to locate after we worked out the puzzle. Kids loved it as the photo shows. TFTC.
Nice little info game for this find.
'Almost' had myself a proposal from my man as he 'picked' a ring from the treasures in the cache....oh how we laughed....hmmmm!

It happy with this one. Spent over an hour looking n just can't get it. Must be missing something. Looked at the signs n didn't get co-or. Need some assistants with this one I think
This one hadn't been touched for a while so I thought I'd give it a go.
No problems once the right sign appeared, there are a few to choose from.
No snakes here today but there was some trepidation while getting on my knees.
TN L multitool for the next intrepid adventurer.

We took a walk on the boardwalk and grabbed this one. I sent mini Burners in to get this one. This was our second attempt, first time round I absolutely couldn't find the magic numbers. Thanks guys. We had a nice walk in the cool today.
nice quick one had info in no time soon had the cache in hand Thanks Matt and Shell
Reperio at 0800. Finished night shift and was still fairly awake, so figured I would go for a drive around Ash Island to grab a few caches. After collecting the required info, I plotted GZ and expected it to be a lot further away...Rechecked the sums again just in case, and then headed off to find the cache right where the GPS said it would be. A terrific little boardwalk, and will have to return to filly complete it.

Actually found by HungryPedro with N@attck driving the gps and myself looking in the wrong spot lol. We spent ages looking for the hint on the sign only to realise it was the wrong sign. TFTC.
Second cache ever found. Went on a half day chacheathon with BernieDEEs and HungryPedro. This one was found by HungryPedro while I was on the GPS and BernieDEEs did the ground work. Good fun, TFTC
Found it! Great cache, very good fun. Once we worked out the clue we found it fairly quickly.
Passed by once, passed by twice, closer look on pass number three... gotcha! TFTC!
Scratched my head for a while trying to work out where to get the numbers from till i had a brain snap and then i had the coordinates worked out in a couple of minutes.
The coordinates where out by about 7 or 8 metres but after checking out the obvious spots i had the cache quickly in hand...
SL TNLN TFTC Left my calling card.

Nice walk - found without much trouble. Took ring and shopper bag. Left party favour and ring. TFTC - we enjoyed the challenge!
The first today on our tour around Ash Island. I thought this cache may have been further along but was nicely tucked away in its spot. Swaps Done. SL TFTC.
I initially missed the obvious way to get the coords and focussed way too much on the other part of the board... Once I worked out my error, I was on my way and found the cache with no trouble. Coords had me a little further along but, it didn't take long to spy the goods...
Cheers Big Matt and Shell.

I noticed the "big" mozzie atop that club's entry heading south and thought they couldn't be that bad around here. Yes they are! Geo kids nearly got carried away. We were stumped at the sign until we came around. We are putting a face to you both after the mid north coast x mas party at Harrington:)
