Logs
I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no maintenance action noted, and only DNFs logged for over a year. Promised action in January has not occurred, and it and the cache appears to be abandoned.
Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache.

##Cache Maintenance Required please.##
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit, to address the issue described in the logs.
The cache owner needs to either fix the problem or archive the listing, after picking up any geo-litter. In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page.
See the maintenance section of the [Geocache Hiding Guidelines](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance).
If there is a good reason for a delay in enabling this cache, please post an update note log here on the cache page so that everyone will know what's going on.
When the maintenance is completed, you can re-enable the listing by entering an "Enable Listing" log, and then post an "Owner Maintenance" log to clear the "Needs Maintenance" attribute, if set.
I will check back in 30 days to be sure that the maintenance has been done, or that further information has been provided.
If there has been no action to repair the cache, or explain the situation, unfortunately I will need to Archive this cache. Caches archived because of lack of maintenance will not be unarchived.
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

I will be in Albany at the end of January. Will have a look then. Every time DNF's are logged, I have been able to find cache every time when checking on it. It is just very well hidden. If I cannot locate it, I will replace with a new one.

Hi there Coastn Along.
We found your cache **"Mountain View #1 - Clarence"** at 10:07:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 23961).
We're staying in Albany for a few days, and today we decided to attempt a few caches non Mount Clarence. We found 3 caches & DNF'd 0.
Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing
Thank you Coastn Along for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Found on a walk from the town to Mt Clarence today. Great views and footpaths. I'd say there was a little bit of bush bashing involved, but I have a very low bush bashing tolerance! Especially with the big lizards crashing around in the bushes here...!
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Quick find on a weekend visit to friends at Torbay.
Dropped off a couple of trackables.

On a bike ride around Mt Clarence. Picking up a few caches along the way. Glad to say I managed to find this one quickly.
Log book was full so it has been replaced. I kept the old log book in there in case the CO wants it. Some people do that I’m not sure. Anyway. Dropped of a trackable and a few tradable for the little ones that like to hunt as well.

Found it along with big lizards, and heaps of biting March flies ouch! Great views up here we loved the walk to find this. Swapped out toys for toys with our Geo-Twins
Spending the day in Albany, driving around with megawat60 grabbing a few caches. And another good find by parkacruz! TFTC!

Cache has been checked on and moved to make it easier to find. Please place it back as you find it so it is not exposed to others. Container will be replaced on my next visit to Albany.
Finally found it and reasonably quick as well it's amazing how much of a difference a GPS makes over a smart phone. TFTC
Cache has been checked and it is still there waiting to be found. It is well hidden, don't be scared to have a good poke around. GPS accuracy 2-3 metres.
Perhaps our GPS was out as the clouds had started rolling in, but we were a tiny bit skeptical about the 'no bushbashing needed'. We'll try again soon.

Looked all around, under all the nearby rocks as well as the one at GZ.
No luck here for us today.
We enjoyed the walk and the wild flowers however.
Thanks anyway Coastn Along

Yay, our 300th cache. And a pretty good one to make it number 300. Great views and a special place. Took some time to find but it is there.....the clues helped us locate it. TFTC.
Maybe I misinterpreted the hint completely? Anyway, no luck for me on today's relaxed evening stroll.
Cache has been checked and it is still there, just well hidden. GPS put GZ at 1 - 2 metres at base of rock. Hope this is found soon so everyone knows it is still alive!!!
This is a late log, posted April 2017, as I'm just catching up with some summer holiday geocache logs [B)]. This was found on a blustery, showery summer day in Albany, but the views were still pretty spectacular. TFTC
We looked everywhere, unfortunately we couldn't find it. Maybe it's too well hidden?
On a day trip to Albany from Bremer Bay to check out the area and see the sights and some smiley caches
Last few times I have checked on cache after a few DNF's, it was still there. It is just well hidden.
Unfortunately a dnf. Looked high amongst the rocks and low throughout the bushes. High enough that geo-mrs got stuck and low enough we were on all fours!
Cache has been checked and is still in place, it just need to be looked for with a bit more determination. Co-ordinates were about 3m out from GZ. The hint has been changed if you need extra help.
Sadly goodhodge failed and we could not find it, might want to check up on it seeing as the last two guys couldn't find it
Geokids and I tried to squeeze another in for a fair days caching but could not locate... Beaut spot though and we'd love to return when we come back down to Albany again
Co-ordinates were dead on. Orchids starting to flower and watched the whales in the sound. TFTC
Awesome view, ajjnr86 rechecked where I had looked and found it. Got to step up my game.
Took a little while to find, walked past it more than once, read some logs then found shortly after. Great views of town
Out and about with &others as a second look at this one. As the rating on this a 1 was a 3, I was prepared to do a climb but it was Mr & that did the casual walkin and pick up this one. Took time to admire the view, great location. Thanks for bringing us here
Out road tripping with K.B. This was one of our many stops. Thanks for the time you've taken to hide this cache. Please excuse the generic log.
It took me a frustrating half hour to uncover what ended up being a routine hide. Sensational views from GZ and Albany sure turned on some amazing weather today. Thanks for the hide.
After a lot of searching literally stepped on it! Needs a new logbook! Amazing views!
What a great day for a walk, love the granite outcrop on this side of the mountain, great views.
# 7924. Robmc and I headed back to Albany for a day of caching and seemed to make rather hard work of it. We started with the ANZAC caches and then headed off to try to pu smilies on some puzzles. The result for the day was 14 finds and one DNF and some long searches along the way.
A fairly long walk from the top with some great views to the cache. Picked up the container for the beautiful geocoin that was dropped here at the end of June 2014 but unfortunately it is long gone. Needs to be marked as Missing.
Thanks Coastn Along

Day twenty six of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747.
Spent the day in Albany, mainly on Mount Clarence and Adelaide. We figured that seeing ANZAC day was fast approaching we would do the ANZAC series. We had lunch in the Cafe there, and then finished off with a few solved puzzles around Middleton Beach..
From the top of Clarence we walked down to this cache. The GPSr said less then 200 meters, but the track wasn't that straight.
A good sized cache after a string of micros today.
Thanks, Robmc.

We searched for quite a while but were successful in the end. Loved the view- thanks for bringing us here!
I was up mt clarence today with kiwinic and we tried to get padre white but the muggles kept coming so we went for a nice walk around the mountain and found the 2nd mountain view on my list. 1 to go. TFTC
On our cruise to Gallipoli and first stop was Albany.
We spent the day on the hop on hop off bus provided and in between sight seeing found 7 caches
We road the bus up the hill and then followed the path to the cache seeing several great views A great spot to bring people to as the view was fantastic.
Signed log but no coin in the cache TFTC

A great view indeed. Found with OutNabout on our Gallipoli Cruise tracing to steps of our ANZAC's. TFTC.
A lovely walk after taking in the view. My second cache after arriving in Albany aboard the MSC Orchestra enroute to Gallipoli.
Lovely cool morning for a wander in the bush, was a nice easy find, saw a bandicoot on the way back but he was too quick for me to snap as he dived into the bush very quickly
