Logs
Searched and searched around WP1, found what we thought may have been some cleverly hidden and relevant numbers down low but then came unstuck figuring out what to do with them. Only up here for a day so sadly have to log this as a dnf, although by browsing older caches, we arent alone
Found last year and forgot to log. After a previous failure had to get assistance from a previous finder as had problems again with the first waypoint. After that was a pleasant walk and relatively quick find.
This was a really nice multi, well set up. The path in which it is located is very pleasant and makes for a nice afternoon stroll. Thanks for setting this its well worth a fav point. Unfortunately the final container was full of water but the log was still writable. TFTC
Well, this is a pretty tough multi. I was glad I was doing it with matagouri, who had completed it previously, or I probably would have struggled to find the necessary information. It still took us a while to find the second one.No problems finding the cache though. Thanks for setting this up
Too tough for me. Spent shes aty WP1 with no success. Completed the bush walk which was lovely but still no cache
Tricky hides. WP1 took some perseverance... But following that find..WP2 was easier to locate. Log book is drenched and pencil is not working.
Out for a post Xmas lunch walk, I was keen to give this multi a go. From reading the logs, I thought that I'd have a lot more difficulty with these waypoints. However, having seen something similar in Wellington, I soon cottoned on to the method required, and had little difficulty after that. GZ was dead quiet, so was able to spend a bit of time on a careful search, and soon had the cache in hand. FP for a good walk to ease the indigestion! Tftc and MX!
It's been over three years since this one was found and we have been keen to give it a try so we decided to go for the smiley today.
From reading the previous logs we could see that the waypoints were a bit challenging so we decided to read every log the cache has ever had and note down as much information as we could to help us make a successful find.
Armed with our notes and a determined focus we headed to WP1 which seems to have given others the most trouble and were both pleased and relieved to locate the co-ordinates very quickly.
This was a great start and gave us a lot of confidence as it seems that WP2 has proved to be a lot easier to locate. But unfortunately this was not the case for us.
We wondered if we hadn't found the correct co-ordinates at WP1 after all but are sure we must have as they led us to a very likely and perfect spot for the information to be which just couldn't have been a coincidence.
After a bit of searching we hadn't located the final co-ordinates and had assumed they would be similar to what we found at WP1 but now wonder if that was our mistake.
In any case we still felt reasonably confident that we could find the cache after reading all of the 123 previous logs, so off we went.
Using the information we had gathered, a bit of deductive reasoning and a bit of luck we found a likely spot and began to search.
After having no luck we were beginning to think we may have to go back to the drawing board but were then elated to locate the cache in the last likely spot we checked. What a relief.
The cache was a bit wet inside but overall in good condition and we victoriously signed the log.
It's always great to find an older cache, especially once that hasn't been found for a while.
Thanks lostpukeko for a great multi and a great adventure on this nice walkway we would never have known was here had it not been for geocaching.
A definite favourite point from us.

WP1 and WP2 were easily found (despite my current knee injury restricting what I can do) and then I calculated the final and drove there as I was staying nearby. Pretty sure I know exactly where the final was but was not prepared to scratch around and potentially scramble in my jandals. Shame, I would love to find this cache as it has not been found for awhile but not sure I have the confidence to do it even in shoes.
All waypoints are exactly as they should be, including the first which has always been the hard one to find.
Wet logbook replaced in the final.
Enjoy!

Have searched twice now for first clue, thought I had it but I didn't. Making me not like geocaching anymore. This is someone else's photo but what I thought was a clue but not.
So I had a go at this a month or two ago but couldn't find WP1. Reading the logs later, I had a pretty good idea of where the final was so today parked close. I actually spotted the final straight away but decided to try and do it properly anyway. Checked WP2 on the way down but the vital part was obscured by cobwebs and I didn't yet really know what I was looking for. Went to WP1 and quickly found the necessary. Turned out I'd had the right idea but hadn't looked hard enough. With photgraphic evidence, WP2 was soon gathered and my initial guess of GZ confirmed. Great to finally knock this one off. Very enjoyable. TFTC and FP.
Returned after further research on previous logs. Gave me something to work on. Still took a while before cracking it. Very clever. Great walk done it many times fav with the dogs. TFTC
On A road trip with Part of Team BoP. Have been having a poke around here and there and been taken to some great places, many thanks to all you COs for your placements. Was up early to make the most of the day. Cheers
When to over this way to meet my son,had to pick up this one as we were not far away.
Such a journey and adventure. It took a lot of searching but we weren't going to let it beat us! TFT(very cool )C
#313.Have been seeking this final GC in the Cambridge area for some time. So a determined combined effort today by yt and 4dawn4 to "solve" and find. Co-ords under the overcast day and a few muggles to be wary of the only real concerns . Best not to have any preconceived ideas (about this one) the lesson here. Tftc.
With a break in the weather the only thing I really had to do today was geocache. I had no plans so enlisted TNXPro and Squirrelnutcase in search of a worthy adventure. What no one knew at the time was this adventure would span 21 hours, cover 3 regions and we'd have Davidson clan join us at the half way point. A crazy day but there's no denying - it's a lot more fun with friends.
This geocache was a nice little straight forward multi. We made short work of the wpts and enjoyed the wander. The cache itself was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a clear hint. Cheers lostpukeko, TFTC

The weather was looking perfect for a caching trip, so myself, Philip.Perry and Squirrel.Nutcase joined forces and decided to hit the Waikato area to try clear Squirrels map.
I had run a PQ and still had 701 caches to find within 30km of Hamilton, so I pretty much was up for anything today.
We started here in Cambridge and made short work of this multi.
Thanks for bringing me here.

We decided to give this a go - didn't look at any logs until we couldn't find WP1. There was vague evidence where it might have been but nothing to go on. I was intrigued to see where this walkway might go so off we went. As we progressed we looked out for WP2 but this was just as elusive. Oh well nothing doing but to continue. Eventually arrived at a destination that fitted a clue. Macwatt interpreted the hint and he soon uncovered the cache ( full of water but double bagging meant the log was dry). I'm glad this wasn't a dead end and we could get the smilie. Worth the walk through a lively walkway I didn't know about. Thanks for the placement lostpukeko.
Today we decide to do a few of the caches around Cambridge ...while We were successful in adding a smilie it wasn’t all plain sailing ...the first way point took forever to find and really there was next to no concrete evidence that It was the way point but geo sense and back reading a few logs we marched on ...nice walk and good facilities along the way ..but nah ...no way point two to be found...mind you I am a bit blind and it was a dull day...but not wanting to give and not knowing the area we went on into the younder....we arrived at a place that I had read in the logs and surmised to KL it’s probably one of those ...and I was dead right ....I checked the hint and geo sense lead me to the nicely placed cache...the log was signed and returned although the contain had quite a bit of water in it .....this is a good cache but it would excellent if the way points were tidied up thanks lostpukeko for the great we adventure
Find number 3808. I was in Cambridge today and thought I would have another go at this one. I have been here three times before with no luck in finding WP1. Today I poked and prodded and looked everywhere. After about 30 minutes of looking I headed off down the path. I enjoyed the bush walk and I had it all to myself. Once at GZ I had a quick find as the cache was uncovered. Pleased to finally make the find I open it to find that the container was full of water. I emptied it and was thankfully the log was still dry as it was double bagged. After signing it was replaced and covered with litter. Pleased I had the smillie I headed back to the car and home. Thank you for the placement.
This took some time to eventually figure out where it was at Stage 1. On the point of giving up I had an aha moment. After photoing the find I looked up into the face of a beautiful full bred Husky that had appeared. Boy did that give me a fright. However he was very friendly and his owner appeared from up on the track and so we had an interesting chat about the dog.
The rest of the walk was more straightforward, knowing now what to look for. The final was at a bit of a dead end, but after scratching around soon found the cache. It was such a lovely walk on this lovely Winters day I retraced my steps back to the car.

Today, we headed back to have another go at this one. Not wanting to be defeated by our DNF, we were in high hopes of locating WP1 after thinking of other possibilities of what we could be looking for. We got to GZ, looked in a couple of places before spotting the info needed to continue to WP2! Obviously we weren't thinking too well yesterday...
Off we headed to WP2 and now that we knew what to expect, we quickly located the info needed to pursue the final. With the coords punched into the GPS we set off into an unknown area we hadnt seen yesterday. Once there, everything fell into place and the hint made perfect sense. After a good scratch around, we uncovered the cache! Thanks for a well thought out multi, which is in great condition even though this one doesn't get found regularly. Thanks for showing us this beautiful area and TFTC!

We struggled at WP1 and looked in what we thought was everywhere but came up empty. So, intuition kicked in and we set off in the hunt for the final. We looked in many a place trying to work out what the hint meant. But without any firm coords, it was as if we were trying to find a needle in a haystack. Nevertheless, we loved this area and were thankful for showing us this lovely location. A DNF but we look forward to coming back another time. Can the CO please check everything is in place please as its been awhile since this one was found .
Thanks for the replacement. Enjoyed this walk which I didn't know about. Great GZ. A favourite. TFTC.
Cache checked and log book replaced. All waypoints are in place and can be found if you think a little outside the square..... Enjoy.
Went out with Nahkins to help her with some of the local caches. As I have been here twice before I asked if she would help with this one. We both were using our GPS and we spent an hour looking for the first stage. Couldn't find anything so decided to take a walk and see if we could find Pete the Possum. Also was looking for something 3 into 1. After much discussion as we walked dodging dog poo came across something that was 3 into 1. Had a scratch around down low and Nahkins says "Bingo". Log was wet. Tipped water out of the container SL and put back. TFTC.
I had to go to my sisters to pick up my kayak so I decided I would finish the Karapiro & Leamington caches.
This was a bonus (not planed) for today. Collected NZPatoto to be my decoy and keep watch for muggles. We decided to go and see if we could find this one. NZPatoto has already tried twice so with no notes had to revert to logging onto the web and read all notes and clues. Not sure what we were looking for, no clues. We scratched here and we scratched there but still nothing. Both GPS had the same spot or near enough. So many muggles with dogs. Well after an hour of searching and re-visiting the web to still come up with a blank, decided it was a DNF. We decided to go for the walk thru the bush looking here and looking there, thinking outside the square, to see if it would help. Well we walked and climbed and bingo “3 into 1”, had a scratch around and bingo, cache found. No sign of “Sam” (assuming that’s the name of the possum) but it was a bit wet. And sorry to say found with out solving WP 1 & 2 but a smile is a smile TFTC

This was our second attempt at this one but came equipped with a better knowledge of what we were looking for. My son really enjoyed the walk and it was fun finding the geocache. Tftc. Cache was full of water and log was wet. Dried it out a bit.

Finally managed to get around to completing this cache. Time constraints in the past have prevented a decent amount of time being dedicated to doing this cache and today was the day. Pagenz and I had a great time doing this multi with the bonus being a great place for the final. Many, many thanks for setting this multi up.
Team Welsh and I had to work hard to complete this multi - but hey we did it and were so happy. T4tc
we were reluctant to try this one as darkness would soon be upon us, but after we found the first clue we could not stop..agree that the second clue is hard to read, but I suggest taking a photo and enlarging it... great fun, thank you! (no tbs were in the cache)
Once we found the first one the rest were easy. TFTC. Will be back to do this walk in the day light
This is a high quality multi. We have tried to complete it before but couldn't find the first waypoint. This time armed with an additional clue we were able to center our search on a particular spot and after a few minutes found what we were looking for. We really enjoyed our walk, discovering a cool place to take the boys for a splash and the final location was an unknown area for us. Gets a favorite from us.
5.15pm - Had got to WP2 some months ago so while passing thought we would complete this one. Cache all well but must admit WP2 was really hard to read. SLTFTC
After an unsuccessful visit yesterday, we returned today to have another look. No problems to day with either WP or the final. Enjoyable place to visit except for the off leash bulldog who had our geopup by the neck yesterday TFTC.
Nope.....we had to tick it off after a big sting from a wasp
We have searched low and low but in seems that the GPS was pointing in a different direction.
Will certainly hope to come back

Got there in the end. Very clever. Not sure how the first two helped though?...
After failing to find the first WP in March last year, I was in the area for some other caches and decided to retry this cache. At WP1 I was just as puzzled as last year, except...what's that?...oh, now I get it! An enjoyable walk later I found WP2, and shortly thereafter the cache. Pete the Possum was in residence and quietly watching me too! Gave it a favourite point for the unexpected and lovely walk - TFTC!
A fantastic multi now that I tried a second time and didn't over complicate it. Had a muggle behind me who left all the gates open which made me super mad. Even the paddock with cows on it. Rude lady. Thanks for showing me this area.
This one had us stumped? It's not been found for a few months so is it even still there?!
Great multi this one, had to call on all our previous skills to find the waypoints but got there in the end.
Woke up the possum sleeping at GZ.
Log still damp but signable just.
Worth a favourite from us.

Lovely blustery spring day for one of my regular walking routes and a great place for a multi. Young possum in residence at final. Cache nicely concealed but the log is very soggy - even though the container appears watertight. TFTC
GC container very wet - had about 3 or 4 mm of water in the bottom of the container and logbook is saturated.
YAY!!!!!!!! This one has haunted me since a most disappointing day out GCing in Cambridge a number of months ago. But after seeing my 15 year old solving word puzzles on his phone at church this morning I decided that with his lateral thinking today was the day. And it has proved to be. Nice little walkway we have been along a number of times over the years, but the steps at one end are an impressive new addition. TFTC
Separate log will be added for lostpukeko regarding maintenance.

Cycled to WP1 this morning. After a long search, in between dog walkers, we were unsuccessful. Came home despondent, but re-thought our strategy after reading every log! Went back after lunch and came up trumps - still a few be-mused dog walkers and friendly pups about.
A great multi, with enough info not revealed to have us wondering how we would go, but all fall into place quickly once we were in situ. Another wonderful spot we really would never have known about without caching and the Cambridge Tree Trust. The forested part was a real gem and the toadstools we came across added to the magic. Steed managed to sign the wet log while I did housework with paper towels. A favourite from us for the setting and the multi.
Bummer. I was looking forward to a nice evening cache and walk, but after 30mins searching to no avail, I was too frustrated to continue. Another time maybe.
Found WP1 and WP2 a couple of weeks ago then ran out of time to carry on the find the cache, so came back today and easily located cache. This was our first Multi and LOVED it. Very well thought out. We have walked the area a few times and the kids loved exploring the stream and paths. TFTC!!
The cache and log book are very wet. Unable to write in the log book.

Today was about clearing some Cambridge caches. Was especially gunning for multis on this run, but will accept anything else.
Was just getting ready to search low, when two women, a child, and a dog showed up. One lady asked if I was ok. I must have been projecting a helpless look at the time. They hung around below a nearby tree. There was no call for stealth. I just got down and got the clue. I probably rated highly on their weird stuff-ometre, so I decided to drive to another entry to the park.
Parked and walked to the second waypoint. What do you know... the same group of people have walked towards me. Again, no beg your pardon... Got the coord and walked off to the final.
Found the cache. I must say, if Sam plays around here, he or she should find a better place. TFTC. Took the TB.

Nice place very very sneaky started to get frustated on wp1 but found it in the end left tb tftc
Out and about doing a spot of collecting before having to do more mundane chores in the afternoon around the house (visitors coming so everything I've been told "has to look nice").
Wasn't sure what to expect as I arrived at WP1, so stopped and tried to think like an evil cache hiding type person. Checked a couple of spots then within the first minute had my hand on the required information, That's what you have to call lucky.
Off to the second waypoint, distracted by the nearby bovine's, adjust course and shortly there after WP2 was successfully located, headed for the final and soon had the log in hand. Emptied out a build up of water, cache was still dry.
This is a well thought out and constructed multi, that with a little for thought should be enjoyed

Ages and ages looking for something obvious, not obvious, and obscure at WP1. And no joy. Frustrating ...
A very well put together multi. Took a little while for me to find the start as I wasn't to sure what I was looking for. Once I found the first WP, knew what to look for at the second. GPS was a bit bouncy at GZ, but the clue put me in the right place after a bit of wondering around.
Took a while to find sneaky wp1, then knew what to expect for 2. Final all good but no TB. A lovely walk that we would not have discovered without caching; thanks for bringing us here. A fav from us
Went to checked if TB Pingu Andrew was still in there, but no not there? Cache still well hidden but a bit wet as container does not seal well.

All good once found what we were looking for - nice walk and interesting spot at the end TFTC
We attempted this one over a year ago, but Wp1 defeated us at the time. Returned today and soon had the co-ords for Wp2. Made our way swiftly to the Final, where we disturbed a possum sleeping near GZ. Thanks.

We first attemped this one back in February 2010, when we fell at WP2.
Back today to try again ........... checked WP1 as we passed by ........ OOPS !!!!!! we found the error of our ways. Yet anothr geocaching lesson learned...don't transpose numbers!
WP2 and Final then found with ease. A really good small multi; thanks for setting this up.

Really pleased to get this cache done - struggled a while ago but today no problems. Good well made WP's and an interesting area. Found cache just after dark and had lost my pen somewhere on the way so hoping one in cache would work. No luck with that but found a tiny piece of pencil lead in cache. Signed my name although it must look like a 2 year old did it - also noticed it was upside-down! Next finder will have a laugh. TFTC
Out with Crusaderwoman for a quickie on the way to the shops. This is a lovely part of Cambridge and, once again with LostPukeko's local knowledge, we were privileged to see a part of town we may otherwise have missed.
WP1 - Crusaderwoman presented an interesting view; I pretended not to look...
WP2 - My turn and a good presentation if I say so myself.
On to the final, with a bit of huffing and puffing, and found ourselves close to the dead centre of Cambridge.

Lovely walk and rest stops (temporary at wp1 and 2, unlike those at the final). WP1 and 2 aren't that hard if you have cached in the lower NI or SI.
This multi was somewhat strange to us. What was required and what was needed to look for.
Reading the logs we saw that other cachers had the same problem and could not find wp1. So it took us some time to sort out and to find wp1 and later wp2. The cache was easy to find. TFTC.

2nd attempt at this one, got wetter than I really wanted to looking for WP1 and WP2, but got there in the end
We tried, couldn't find WP1, stopped at likely spot for WP2, no sign of it, stopped at likely spot for the final, no sign of it.......It does need a check to make sure all the WP's are in place
Went the other day from work and couldn't get WP1!! So came back today for another try.
Still no luck with WP1 so thought we'd do the walk and see if we could work out WP2 - erm no!!!
BUT did work out the final and found the cache YAY!!
Thanks for bringing us on this lovely walk which is soooo close to us and didn't know it existed - that's why we love caching aye!!

The leader lied when he told his faithful follower that this would be just a simple multi to fit in before we could retire to the caravan for a well earned drink. Circled WP1 for at least 10mins until ‘eureka!’ and then it was all lovely.
Started this one today ... managed WP1 after considerable effort, and several conversations with joggers and dog-walkers. One kind gentleman explained all the things to look out for along the route. Someone else wanted to know if we needed help getting a horse through a gate! Very friendly people in Cambridge. Unlike everyone else, we fell at the 2nd hurdle . But we will be back.
