That was grat. 1 thing do not be afraid going up the stairs. Don't need to go in. We definitely ask for help from the person how made it. I did it WITH STRATFORD SCOUTS.
I found it but can't get to it.*Log type adjusted from 'Found' by Reviewer*>Caches can be logged online as 'Found' after the geocacher has visited the coordinates and signed the logbook.
Looked high and looked low but no luck for us here today. Maybe next time. Thanks anyway
No luck! Too cold! By the sounds of it, it might be somewhere we shouldn’t be…
#6361.
We were visiting friends in the area and decided to explore Maffra and try and find as many of the caches as possible. This one took us quite a while to find. I was ready to give up, but Lady Thrips persisted and in the end it paid off as she shouted the beautiful words: "I found it!". Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.

*Cache find #1331*
We were unable to attend the Mega being held in Rutherglen, so we are caching as we travel to Sth Coast NSW. This one was targeted as we stayed close by last night.
There were no muggles about due to the early start (and it being Good Friday), but it didn’t make it easier. I almost caved and PAF, but on the promise of beer my geo-hubby looked a little harder and came up with the goods LOL.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this sneaky hide. Cache on
**The Cache:** Good condition. TNLN, signed log as LTEC or Let Them Eat Cache as space would allow.
*Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**

Leaving Melbourne for a few days and heading for the south coast of NSW. We arrived here early (caching with geo-wifey LTEC), with no muggles about we set about searching for this one. LTEC gleaned some info from past logs, enough for me to make the find. Sneaky and fun, but impossible on game day!
Thanks to the COs for this hide.

Finally putting a smiley face on this one after 2 previous attempts. This time it was in the first place I looked tftc
We went up to look under, we bounced around GpS, we tried to navigate muggles and we searched up and down and under for a good 30 mins we could not find this one
Over obligatory coffee, the TKB's made plans to go searching around Maffra on the first day of daylight savings. We were blessed with stunning weather!
Part of the reason was to search for this illusive geocache.
Took forever! My watch step count got the yellow smiley with all the ups and downs but we still hadn't found the GC. Surely we had looked there? woop woop - happy dances all round.
TFTC Jimmymaff - for placing and maintaining your caches and taking me to spots where I can escape from it all and get a bit of a brain work out.
ps - log more than a little tattered and could really do with a new one.

Damn this cache !!
I'm here with Tiz13 and kbucky today to hopefully turn this unhappy blue face into a yellow smiley face, after searching about the place for some time and some choice words the persistent kbucky yells out I GOT IT you beauty finally can tick this one off TFTC jimmymaff

Part of the reason I returned to Maffra today with extra ammunition being kbucky and Kashbound was this cache that did my head in last time I searched and again it proceeded to do the same today.. again we went up and we went down systematically searching everywhere but that one spot...after about 15 minutes kash and I wondered off to explore another similar possibility...but within a few minutes the call came out from kbucky Found it....of course we had to see it with our own eyes to believe it..that sneaky sucker...finally....Grr LOL.. happy to change that frown into a smiley.
A weekend visit to the parents in Gippsland, required some geocaches on the way home. An overnight stop in the Wellington RV park in Maffra was needed to break the drive. Found this one after going up and down, up and down, then up and under - there she blows was the cry of the find. Was easier with no muggles about too.
My GPS placed me consistently at the stairs of the grandstand so I kept my search there, though I came up with nothing. Running up and down the stairs, feeling around, searching with my phone came up blank, so this one is a big dnf sadly tftc
By the way, the fire alarm needs a new battery. It's beeping

I looked high I looked low - I went up I went down - read some logs - repeated above actions numerous times- I put the gardening gloves on and prodded and felt - zip...lots of head scratching and again repeating above steps with no joy..ahhhhhh
Suscoe decided to head out to the Maffra area today.
Another delightful late Autumn day with some sunshine, but a cool breeze to keep us company.
What beautiful countryside and we enjoyed our travels.
Thanks to Jimmymaff and hayleyalyce.
Took a while but we got there.

We had forgotten that
We had previously posted a DNF here and when we drove in both our hearts sank.
Well there is a god after all… because Mrs Riddell had just got out of the car and Mr Riddell had it in his hand already.
What a difference that makes!
TFTC we are both smiling!

The map took me to Bairnsdale but when I got there it told me it was back at my house it was a disaster we had to drive very long time
Took my muggle friend to help me. This was my roughly 10th time coming to look!
Almost gave up! But SHE found it! Very sneaky!

Very sneaky hide. Not ideal to be going into an area that says No admittance.

Almost gave up but got it! You don’t need to be thaaat tall, just go on a day where the muggles are at bay.
Sneaky sneaky. Had felt for a cache where this is hidden once when we first started looking and thought we were on the wrong path. GPS was going all over the place. Required much help from previous clues to ensure we were in the correct spot. If we hadn’t found this one, I would have been ‘guttered’. Thankfully only a few muggles going about their business this windy day, so could take our time to have a good look. TFTC
Looked for a few mins but couldn't find... Got the impression it might have been behind the do not enter sign, so we bailed...but scaredy cats
GeoDad and I didn’t find the cache we think Muggles got to this one so please replace this one jimmymaff
We have had our daughter, her husband and their two kids staying with us during the COVID lockdown so that we could look after the kids whilst they were in lockdown. They have just left as school goes back in Melbourne, so we are taking advantage of our new freedom and set out to find a few geo caches. Our stats for 2020 are looking pretty woeful, and very different from what we had planned! At least the weather gods are on our side today. These been extensive wind and rain over the past few days and there are minor flood warnings out for a few of the local rivers. Today is bright and sunny, and we’ve worn our waterproof shoes! Caching today with Rebel Acts-it’s so nice that we can share outside activities like this since the easing of COVID restriction in regional Victoria.
We are also collecting the Seven Wonders of the World icons, and are pleased to say that we have actually visited the icon attributed to this cache-The Roman Colosseum A fantastic spot.
Third (or was it fourth) time lucky with this one. Took us TOO LONG but persistence eventually paid off. At last we got rid of the wretched blue face!

Just didn’t have enough luck on outside today. Will have to try again another day
Needed to read logs for this one and gloves on. Took a while but got it. Luckily no one was around!

Felt a little uncomfortable here, given the do not enter sign.

Not keen on this one. Dont like going into restricted areas. Especially with security cameras watching your every move.
Spotted it quickly, easy find for us, tucked it in a bit further to make it less obvious.
That was very clever...took a bit to find but since we like living on the edge and going places we are not allowed to go we finally found it...
So we approached GZ and started the search. Our GPS was indicating a certain area, but we were not quite sure if we could get closer. We then read a few logs from past finders and knew where we needed to look. TFTC Jimmymaff and haleyalyce.

Found earlier in the year (18/1/18) but forgot to log online. I would change the hiding location due to the amount of DNF's and the access to the cache is through a No admittance sign
Looked but did not find.... maybe we are too short as previous posts said it took a tall person to find
Found it, didn’t take too long, very sneaky, no way the kids would have found it, need someone tall
Almost our closest cache to home and probably the most difficult in town, but finally found it after about 15 minutes, this time. Been here twice now, using a different GPS today, which settled quickly.
Thanks jimmymaff for this cache.

Sadly YTx2 and I didn't find it. We looked high and low, backwards and forwards and even got adventurous but no luck. Conquered my fear of heights too!
Toughest geocache yet, great hiding spot. Would never have got it without the previous clues
We found it!! Took some team work and creative thinking after reading previous logs.
Took me a little to find it but I got there in the end, with the help of some hints from the previous finds.
Nope, yet another Jimmymaff cache we couldn't find. This DNF plus another in Briagalong and then a couple more in Heyfield a few months ago we also couldn't find. One day maybe . . . !
We had to wait while a truck was unloaded. So did anothe cache and came back. Took a little search but had it in had soon enough. TFTC. Scrappy_1
Rocked up and there was a delivery truck sitting right where we needed to go. So we decided to go try to get GVC instead.
Upon return delivery guy was gone ... hurray finally no muggles around.
Wasn't long until we had cache in hand.
Avenged a couple of DNF'S today. TFTC

Sorry for the late log just notice that I have missed logging this cache.
Found while caching in the area with gwd.aussie and sqau. Found with sqau and even though I was with gwd.aussie as a muggle when he previously found the cache I still did not put my hand immediately on the cache.

definitely do not attempt this when the area is a hive of activity.. luckily for NoonaB and myself the area was basically deserted. We searched a few areas we thought were obvious hiding places until a quick refference to the previous logs sent us in the right direction. As NoonaB has stated, my height was helpful with this one, and i love the clever hiding spot and how well hidden this cache is whilst still being hidden in plain sight. Thanks for the cache
Found this one today with Bigrobv. A sneaky cache which we almost thought might be a DNF, but after reading a previous log we realised we were looking in the wrong place and promptly made our way to the right place. After a hunt and Bigrobvs height and keen eye we were able to sign the log. Thanks for the hide, I can see why this would be difficult during busy times!!
