As this Cache has been muggled twice and due to the Earthquake repairs continuing to Hogwarts, I have decided to close this one down. Thanks to all those who have visited this cache. Aslan*
Cache has been Muggled - will have a re-think about this one over the next few days. Regards Aslan
another nice multi to do while here cool building easy plaque to find good math and nice walk to final site. cache was in plain view once there and last person had put the pencil in the bag with the log which made it nearly impossible to get out (without destroying the bag) along with all the extra stuff this little thing is jammed. sl and put everything back and replaced in tree. Too bad to see the damage to the building here from the quakes too. thanks for the cache
As with the other Hogwart's cache, did the ground work some months ago. Pleasant sojourn in the sun today, out of the easterly wind, watching punts go by. Took geocoin. TFTC.
Found, and it wasn't behind the fence after all. Found with 15 other people.
As well i have dropped off a trackable item that needs to find its way to the sea, hopefully on another country.

We found 2 containers at the site one had 2 log books and some trade items the other smaller one had some trade items and a travel bug. We took the travel bug and will send it on its way as soon as possible.

It looks like a gang of Death Eaters has been on the rampage in the city of my birth. Unfortunately Hogwarts and its environs have not come off unscathed. Looks like some of the magical protection may have worn off the cache too as there are some muggle scribblings in it. I have left it better covered than I found it. TFTC, Biggles.
Solved the cords for this a couple days ago but it was dark and didn't have a flash light
Got back to it today. Sat on the bench eating a cookie, feeding the birds crumbs 'til the muggles passed by.
Again another lovely spot.

Found this one pretty quick in the daylight. Tried earlier in the dark, but didn't want to go poking around where I couldn't see.

Last find of the day. No problem with the answers and fortunately GZ was quiet for a few minutes, so an easy retrieval. T4TC.
Nice - after doing the Maths incorrectly and having trouble using the GPS thing (so new to this), small mermaid found. Ta
Met the Mermaid crew for a caching afternoon on a freezing cold day. They'd done all the maths ahead of us, so it was hilarious to discover that where they were snacking, playing and writing was AT GZ! It was also a wee reminder that a number out in a multi can have you exploring a greater area than you might otherwise and meant we nearly ran into a wedding party nearby. An exciting find for little Mermaid. + tiki, SL. TFTC!
Easy find. The buildings looked like they were closed today. Would of been good to go in for a while to get out of the weather.TFTC TNLN
We did it! This is one that I began in March when I obtained all the info, did the math and had the GPS batteries go flat. So today, armed with the final coordinates we walked to GZ and up lifted the cache and signed in. It's a niffy hiding place. We did take time to do a turn around the glorious old Provincial Government Building. We recommend searchers do so and plan time to watch the very very good video presentation.
Doh.,was previously looking around other hogwart coords for this final. No problem once i realised that!

Good fun, found it this time with Barri-Ster. Still took quite a bit of searching. SL TFTC
In Christchurch for a Monday hearing, so caught a bit of geocaching with tmann421. Great building, great cache. SL, TFTC.
This cache took us on a nice walk around Christchurch. GPS wandered a bit at the start. FuzzyGem TNLNSL TFTC
Spotted a likely hiding place however builders working close by posed a problem, fortunately an under dressed pretty young woman provided a distraction and the cache was quickly snatched. TFTC
Hard to find a time that was Muggle free, but made it. As someone not into those formulaic stories I was bewildered by the hint,
Loved the hiding spot and carefully re covered. Thank you. .

Last of the day after long walk through the city. Fun with signal bouncing around a little, taking me down both banks.
Tried first thing this morning, but was too dark. Came back later and found cache where I had been digging. I had exposed it completely, but not seen it earlier!!! Nicely covered again and nice to have this done. Now to wait 12 minutes until the car park building opens!!!
Wow - the cache was very exposed, the wind must have blown the leaves off it exposing the red lid. I rehid it as best I could. Cheers Gav [5907]
(175) Another couple to do after work.. Nice quick and easy Multi, Lucky town is cold and not many people around.. TFTC..
Here for the Australia New Zealand College of Anaesthetists annual scientific meeting. Finding caches ahs been an excellent distraction between lectures.
Took an age to complete the search - what with muggles wandering through all the time. Got it in the end though.
We love the potter-stories and so it was a pleasure for us findung this cache.
Many greetings

I'm a big Harry Potter fan so I just had to do both of the Hogwarts caches in Christchurch! Thank you for bringing me to so many beautiful spots in the city As it was already dark by the time I got to the cache point it took a bit of searching before I found it... TFTC! I left a TB and a geocoin!
On our first day in Christchurch from UK looked for this cache but had no luck. The GPS was all over the place. It indicated a large tree but couldn't tie it in with clue.
Couldn't believe it ... a homeless muggle decided to make his home right on the GZ just as we arrived .. So we went away and he was still there 4 hrs later when we returned, so we'll be back next time we venture to the Garden City from the sunshine capital (Nelson !!)
Cute little building indeed, had could imagine myself as one of Hogwarts' students indeed . Ceiling is a bit low though, made me feel huge :p
Beautiful area by the river for a stroll with the kids, one of whom found the cache immediately. Thanks for the wee guided tour of this cormer of Christchurch.
I have tried to complete this so many times, but muggles have thwarted me at GZ. Today, with the Santa parade on there were still muggles EVERYWHERE, but not at GZ. Now I'm smiling. TFTC
Quick find on a gloomy sunday evening. Have been outmuggled by this for some time so good to cross it off the list. TFTC TNLNSL
An interesting historic building to visit. The coordinates were easily calculated, and the nicely hidden cache was soon found. TFTC

Cruising on the cruise ship Star Princess and caching with luvbassn, luvbassn2, and Mommacakers. Luvbassn was hot and made this grab too. Beautiful area. Thanks for bringing us here and placing the cache. Once we straightened out the math - my bad - things went smoothly. Thanks for a nice hide.
Caching with Luvbassn, OHSilky, and Mommacakers while in port with the Star Princess. I somehow missed logging this one and didn't want to miss a chance to mention what a wonderful treat this cache was. Another wonder spot that would have been missed if not for geocaching. TFTH
A familiar little spot but no stopping by the bar today A quick bit of maths and an easy find at the final, not many muggles about with the coolish weather. TNLN Thanks.
Second aslan* cache of the day. Very nice wee hide. It took some time to replace the cache since I had to keep waiting for muggles to wander past, ever so slowly. Cheers!
After finding the initial waypoint we ventured into the most amazing gothic building and had a good snoop around.
If it wasn't for geocaching we would never have found this beauty. You don't find buildings like this in Melbourne!
We finally dragged ourselves out and found the cleverly hidden cache.
Thanks aslan*

Luckily no one about. This is one of those hides that the cache keeps rising to the top. I tried to cover with more of the same. City gardens looking lovely after the rain. #814
#927 (1/2 on a lunchtime expedition). Muggle factor not too bad given it was lunch time on a weekday. Found quickly, but replacing it proved more challenging (more muggles were around, and it proved hard to cover properly). TFTC.
I hate muggles! Didn't really get a decent chance to have a good poke around because of people working on a nearby building AND working in nearby gardens - not to mention the PUBLIC!
Nice one,
Great spot for the cache, I actually eye'd this one up a couple of weeks ago but you beat me to it!

Had wait for gaps in the muggles to garb and then again to replace. Gps took us on a wander however so looked in a couple likely but not locations.
2870. It was quiet in the land today so we were able to capture the cache unobserved.
Thanks

No need for our invisibility cloak today. These are beautiful buildings in a lovely area of town. TFTC
Most enjoyable wee multi. Second to find at about 2:30pm on a balmy afternoon. Must find the time some day to pop in and have a good look around.
Long arms recommended at final.

A happy first FTF. Had to wait for an elderly muggle to move along - in fact she look as though she could have been a Hogwarts teacher.
Great location with lots of memories from getting married here.
