Was on the road side reading the sign the lady (owner) came out and said its not there. I didnt ask to go in the fence she said it was her land and that she doesnt really like people scatching around as she wasnt asked. Thought i better pass that in but we spoke for a good 15min about other things etc but she would like it moved
Spent most of the morning caching out in the country, found 10 out of 12, the other 2 had muggles working nearby. Quick find. TFTC
11333... Great information panel on the local history about Tokomaru, thanks for pointing this out, TFTC.
Headed to the wrong sign first of all before allowing the GPS to show us the way.
Heading North once again in time for meetings in Palmerston North and then home for the weekend.
Another little village that before today had not really noticed

En route from PN back to Wellywood. A drive by for this one.
Straightforward find, cache in order. All quiet round here today, apart from a steady stream of passing traffic muggles.
Cache log signed, then safely re-hidden
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Have replaced the cache, hopefully it will stay there for a bit longer, please hide well after signing logbook
I hunted and hunted (I had plenty of time, as the other half is a steam buff and was talking with the owners of the steam museum for ages) but I couldn't find it!!! The only steam thing we have stopped at so far, a cache right out the front, and I can't find it!! How embarrassing.
Found with a friend. Can be accessed on the road side of the fence, without private property.
Almost gave up when I had cache in hand.

Used the clue, but no joy. Did not wish to venture onto private property beyond the fence, though.
#3508. We were looking for the eclispse container, and didn't find it. The "obvious" place had been much searched and was empty. After some more searching, found the cache (now a 160 ml Xeonic container) hidden a small distance away.

We found this one after spending a little more time searching than we should have. Cache was slightly out of place but has been returned to its home. TFTC!
Would love to come back and have a look when it is open, but no time now. Places to go, people to meet and all that stuff.

Reading the interesting information boards took a lot longer than finding and signing the log. TFTC #3583

just after finding the cache noticed a neighbour gardening (with back to me thank goodness). TFTC
This one took me longer to find than it should have. Thanks for bringing me to this interesting location. Unfortunately the museum was closed so I will need to return another day to check it out. TFTC
Staying at my Mum's and she thought we should go to Shannon for a drive and to check out the shops - apparently Shannon is becoming a bit of a destination place - Go Shannon. We did enjoy our wander and I was able to collect some caches on the way there and back.
This was the 3rd on the way to Shannon - have visited this museum many many years ago - maybe time for a revisit?

Made a brief stop at Tokomaru. The hint suggested one common hide, but we found the cache at another. Interesting signage. Thanks.

I've visited the steam museum a few times in the past. No time today, but I see that:
They will have the steam all fired up and running on the 8th of January.

Our first Yeetrees cache for the weekend, unfortunately we did not have time to give him a visit this time, it is a shame there aint 26 hours in a day!
We had to do a double take on this one to make sure we weren't on the East Coast, but that is Tokomaru Bay (but much prettier too I must say).
Thank you long time for the nice cache Mr Trees.

On the way to the Wine and Food Festival in PN, but time to stop for this one. TFTC
Well, we feel pretty silly as we could not find this one. Started raining quite heavily which didn't help. Will return to find another day
Have gone and checked cache, found old container and removed it as it was causing problems as there was two containers at GZ. Only 1 container there now, please check new hint
Tokomaru: Cache container is broken, and log is utterly waterlogged. Had a replacement logsheet but not a container in the car unfortunately. Found remnants of cache a foot and a half underground at bottom of post too!! Took photo of contents and took items to try and dry the logbook out. OUT OF ACTION TIL FURTHER NOTICE. Might be in the area on ANZAC Day so possible I can replace it. Might require a different cache container and adjustment to the hint. Will advise. Cheers. TFTC
Quickly found. Totally saturated but I guess you know that

Found cache after being tricked into the wrong sign. Pity about the very busy road.
found the sign which had been recently painted but could not find the cache. maybe painters found it???
Very windy today. Spotted it as we pulled up and tried to rehide it with more cover but the wind doesn't help much. TFTC.
I was rootling around in completely the wrong place for quite some time before Mr Grey checked the GPS and redirected me. TFTC.
#501. Another quick find on our caching afternoon today. The cache was very exposed when we stopped next to it. We have hidden it more snugly, hopefully the elements wont expose it again, SL, TFTC. +spikey ball, +soldier.
