I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi capella8
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

I was driving past so stopped here for a look. I searched all along the hint object with no joy.
arrived to get the cache and found a big BONE CRUNCHER (dog) barking his /her head of while lookin at me like i`m a leg of ham,thank god he or she was locked in a car.once passed the bone cruncher the cache was easy to find.
And another one bites the dust. Cheers. No one at the park today and everything is wet. .
Day 5- Wednesday 18 December. Hawera district again including Eltham and Manaia.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Nice park but too much wandering jew. Hey! The rain is stopping at last (no, it didn't).
Day five of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is Hawera to Eltham - oh yes, it's going to be a slow trip!!
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!
***[======== NZ Mega 2020 ========](http://nzmega.com)***
Planning for the [NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:
* 20 years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20 years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* And it's 2020 - all the 20s!
Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](https://coord.info/GC87777) - you won't want to miss it!

Put a little note in the container, took us a while to find it, lovely day too !
Was hoping for walk a on the mountain today but weather was not suitable, so I settled for a 50km geo-cycle around the plains.
This cache took me longer than it should. It is, as stated, in the obvious place. And I had to look there 3 times before I found it!

Out and about enjoying the flower festival. Enjoyed this park, pretty quiet, a camper and a golfer practicing his tee shots....found GZ and the cache thanks.
Second time lucky - a nice replacement cache found, and a walk around an interesting historical site (make sure you read the blue board) TFTC
Sorry to see Von Tempsky last stand missing had done it years ago and remembered where it was so dropped a new container and log happy caching
Our first find today on a lightning raid and back to Whanganui to check out a couple of caches down there. We were interested to see this spot as we watched this on the New Zealand Wars and later read about it in the book. Tempsky was certainly, for better or worse, one of the New Zealand War's larger than life characters.
The memorial is quite something but we didn't stay around long as it was reasonably early and campers were getting their day going. Back to the cache and with the hint it was found in the obvious place. All good here, cache is in good condition. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Kerstin.nds and I spent one night here in our old campervan, it's quite a nice park. We were almost alone here. Just two other tents and another van were here and that in highseason...weird. Maybe they don't like freedom camping that much.
We really liked the opportunity to could camp here in the nature before we heading up to the Mt Egmont.

#9609. A leisurely Sunday drive to explore more of Kapuni and its surrounding areas. Parked near the tennis courts and made our way to GZ, where it was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
We continued to wander into the main part of the well enclosed Te Ngutu O Te Manu Battlesite and Historic Reserve. A lot of interesting history here.
Thanks for the placement and for bringing us to the site, and …

Found with a very excited peggysuellen she doesn't usually like to put her hands in unknown places so witnessed a happy dance after being brave enough to grab it lol tftc
Nice quick find on a day out entertaining the kids in the school holidays. TFTC
I am still parked up in Hawera with the caravan and venturing out and about doing the rural caches.
I came in via the tennis courts.
Cheers for the cache.

passing this way again so took another look but still a DNF i will watch this one!
Found it second time round. Wandering dew grows pretty fast & makes for probably an unanticipated cover. Had to dodge falling spikey chestnuts too.
After two attempts to locate this we had to pull out some vegetation, easy find after yhat
Well I must have somehow picked one of the few weekends where this camping ground gets lot of use with one camper appearing to be very close. Tried it from the other entry point and found ground zero but was not comfortable with the people proximity so gave it a miss this time.
Cheers.
Cheers.
Looked for ages but could not find it. Disappointed but is definitely on my list to come back to
A quick easy find, after we found the tennis court entrance rather than the main one. It was then a nice place to sit and eat our lunch. TFTC

A quick find. Such a great little park. And I was pleasantly surprised by the state of the bathroom! Tftc
Path hundred by fallen tree but managed to battle our way through, coming out victorious with a cache find!
Out for a day of geocaching around Hawera. As today was World Sauntering Day - the day to take it easy; relax, go for a stroll and enjoy some valuable ‘me time’, a day which encourages you to slow down and enjoy the world around you. So no excuses, time to go strolling looking for geocaches. Turned out it was the day for it, found 23 out of 24 caches.
A very historical spot for a geocache and thanks for the extensive history. Found the shortest route was from the tennis court so parked there and walked in following the GPSr. Under this canopy the GPSr was al over the place but I eventually spotted the cache - TNLNSL and left as found. Thanks for the placement at this great spot capella8.

We did a bit of wandering around here - the clue would have certainly helped if I'd looked it up before going searching! Interesting to see a miniature of Tempsky at the Tawhiti Museum. TFTC
Really enjoying learning lots of history as we cache our way around Taranaki. With all those big trees the GPS was very little help and we couldn't immediately think of the song that was mentioned in the hint, so we were really pleased when caching instinct kicked in and GZ was tracked down. I'm attaching a photo of von Tempsky from the Tawhiti museum - - - just for fun. TFTC .
Was down in Wellington for a few days, and decided that I'd make an extra long weekend of it and transfer a rental car back to Auckland and cache along the way. Unfortunately for the rental agency that ment nearly tripling the km's they thought I'd put on it!
With the rental car company only giving me 48 hours to get the car to Auckland a little bit of planing was needed to maximise what I wanted to accomplish, and with only a few DNF's it turned out to be a very successful trip. So a big thanks to everyone who had placed caches along the way, and for showing me some great sight's along the way.
Day 2: Wanganui to Hawera and home via the Forgotten Highway.
A few muggles in the park playing so had to be stealthy to search GZ. A bit of a hunt needed but got there in the end and without any muggle issues. Thanks for the hide.

Found after a short search. Thanks for your recent maintenance capella8. Interesting to visit this quiet camping area with some significant history.
Also could not find cache, despite much scrabbling around. I think it has definitely gone. A great spot.
Nope couldn't find this one. I also didn't know how far out I could walk before I stepped into the wet areas. Such a beautiful area. I used to come here when I was younger but it looked way different.

kids love coming to play at this park. dropped off geocoin. took small bouncey ball.
Nice view to Taranaki mountain a little bit further. Thanks for the cache, dropped travel racer.
Thanks for the cache, great venue to bring my girl guide unit on their next camp:)
Yet another place we've not visited before even though we've been in the area for 6months. Took us awhile but we finally found it! Still dont get the RHCP reference so will have to google lol
Thus Box was hidden just Next to todays campsite and while the others were preparing the BBQ we found this box
Found on my annual, crazy new-years-eve-trip, this time backpacking in NZ with Smellfooth, Silli1310, Anne82 and Tina. This very overgrowned box was located only 150 meters from our tents on the nice and large, free campside right beside it. With a little gardener-courage Anne82 discovered it . TFTC and Greetings from Germany, Dresden, Sushisun
Found caching with alpenmilch80 on day #2 of a 3 day road trip to the Taranaki.
I was convinced it was one end, but nope, sure enough, it was the other end!
Thanks!

I arrived during the early morning hours via airplane from Auckland to meet up with Slieschke for some geocaching around the mountain. The weather was cloudy but luckily we ended up with a clear view of Mount Taranaki later that day. Took us a while but found in the end. TFTC
Thanks for bringing us to this lovely place found cache log needs looking at a bit of a mess many thanks.
Camped here for the night so went for a short wander to grab the cache after setting camp. TFTC Great spot
A quick, albeit out of the way, stop on way to International Earthcache Day Earthcache. All looking a bit mouldy in here, although contents all dry. Looks like a great STDC camp nearby, I keep in mind for future overnight stay. TFTC
Found it eventually. Co-ords were a bit out for us this morning and the hint meant nothing to me sadly lol. But we got it in the end. Stayed last night on the caching caravan here. Tftc
After the Womad and our stay in New Plymouth, Karapo88 joined us for a week end in the surroundings of the mount taranaki. The day before, we explored the East entrance for the stunning views, and did some others caches in the city just beside, Stratford. We pitched the tent in this very good campground, and in the morning, just before departing, we realize that there is a cache not far. We go for it, and after a few time, we find it. Really a nice place for a night in the tent.
Thanks for the cache.

waking up after a spending the night there, we're starting the day with a find I'm giving a Favorite for the very nice free campground. I'ts very well sheltered from the wind, and you can make fire in little fireplaces.

Super camping, gratuit et il y a tout ce qu'il faut. Nous partons à la chasse au trésor dès le réveil!
