War auch mein erster Flashmob - hätte es ganz cool gefunden, wenn es noch ein bisschen mehr gewesen wäre, als ein einfaches zusammenlaufen. Stichwort "Polonaise" oder sowas in der Art.

Na daß es so viele werden würden hätt ich nicht gedacht - schade daß die Ecke so dunkel war, die wenigen Passanten die ich erkannte haben schon überaus verwundert geschaut Trotzdem nette Idee, muß es endlich mal zum Stammtisch schaffen!

Wow, this was fun. And everyone very well behaved. Try this with pupils, it'll take 30 minutes to get them together. But here: One blow with the whistle and people come running from all directions.
Unfortunately, I did not realize that there was FREE beer.

Schon wieder ein Flash-Mob - wo doch die Tage zuvor erst einer in München war.

Ich war erstaunt, dass es doch so viele wurden, erwartet habe ich weniger. Ebenso erstaunt war ich, dass das Loggen doch relativ zügig ging und es mehr als genug Zeit gab, sich ein zu tragen.

Wer allerdings bayrische Gemütlichkeit erwartet hat - der sollte sich nicht wundern, es hieß ja "Australien trifft Deutschland" und nicht "Bayern"

Well it's about time that I finally log my own attendance. I usually try to log all geocache finds in Germany in German though will have to break that rule because I have too much to write. Though perhaps a translation will come later.

None the less, thanks to everyone who came along to the flashmob. Without every single person, it wouldn't have been such a great event. This was certainly an incredible experience to have all these geocachers appear almost from nowhere (we did, however, see some small groups gathering close to 17:00 hr) and gather. around us in a circle. Add to this that the turn out was amazing; our best count of actual attendees (not teams/logs) is 136, though since not everyone completed the bit on number of attendees with their team it may be closer to 150. Unfortunately we didn't hear of any reports of bewildered muggles, so perhaps a busier location should be sought next time. [;] We may have confused some of own kind (the geocachers) by having a Bavarian wear the Australian flag and the Australian wear a Bavarian flag, though guess that's all part of the fun!

So hope that everyone enjoyed the event. If only we could make it a regular one, though I will probably be back in Australia for WWFM VII. Though perhaps some others, such as JayL1212 can run the next one.

We had to use this venue due to the number of people and it is also nearby. You may go there straight from the event and just ask for a 19:15 Uhr booking in the name "JEREMY".

I know it's a bit late though if everyone who gets this can register at this poll here, if you plan to attend the dinner afterwards, that would certainly help a lot.

Hi there, sorry about the lack of updates. I've been away and only returned to Germany late last night; if you look at my logs, I've been finding caches in quite a few different countries. . Though the idea is rather simple, just come along and have a party for 15 minutes, no need to do anything silly. Though if you can bring some beer (probably only need one per a person in this amount of time), that would obviously help. We were thinking about getting some Australian beer like VB (Victoria Bitter), though it is rather expensive to buy here and personally I think German beer is better, still if anyone wants to try some let me know and I'll see what we can do. We will also try to bring some snack food that is somehow Australian, though if anyone can think of something (German or Australian) feel free to bring it along.

The only other question looming is the after event event. We're still not sure whether to make it perhaps a light meal (because I think a lot of people will have their main meal around midday?) somewhere with some drinks. If anyone has any ideas, let me know. Though we hope to have this resolved tonight.

Great to see such a number of people attending. We're still thinking about an after event dinner or something, so will hopefully post some details soon. Since I'm over in Morocco right now it may only be a few days before the event so stay tuned.
