F(H)ound It! #3875 @ 4:10 PMDunnehunters joined me for an afternoon's caching on Tuggers Hill.Very pleased to find one of these containers in the bush.thanks for the cache, Jmanjezza
Day 11 of Chwiliwr and my trip from Perth to Canberra.Today Chwiliwr took me south to do some caches in this area. This was one of them.Cache was found without problems. Log was signed and the cache returned as it was found. Thanks jmanjezza for placing this cache for us to find.
Impressive amount of marbles. Impressive container ammo can also. ToyHunters was here too but had already claimed this one so just us adding our caching moniker to the log today.
Rumours suggest this wasn’t always an ammo can, but we are glad it is now. A very sturdy hide which we gave some additional camo to, given it could be seen from a little way away beforehand. TFTT (thanks for the traditional).

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

A family x-mas get together interstate for a week required a caching run with all the boys. We all headed out after Nick's birthday with the two-way radios. Found by SB @ 9:37am with Team Boomajarril, Team Betsy, Jump Pilot, Oz Geo Berries.
On our walk up, over and around Mt Tuggeranong, we stopped to visit this old Hide.
A lovely, large container greeted us, full of little glass balls! Everything is in very good order here, and it is great to see this ammo tin out in the wild.
Thanks jmanjezza

Looks like this cache needs some maintenance. Hope to bring it back online soon.
Cache 9214 on 4 Sep 2022.
Out and about on a balmy spring day to grab some caches. Did a couple by myself then met up with Fox in Jox for a few more down south. A lovely day to be out caching and getting some exercise.
We found this one on the way back to the car. Sadly, it could do with some TLC as the log was saturated and the marbles had all escaped. We pressed our names into the wet log with no real hope of them being recognised in future.
Thanks Jmanjezza for the cache and the fun!

Out for a very pleasant afternoon's caching with AngelG27. Last cache for our Tuggers loop. No problems with the find. Logbook has seen better days, but we got our names in. TFTC jmanjezza
#682 Picked this one up with a short detour before heading back to the car. Turtle and I spotted the hiding place a fair few metres back and made the find very shortly after arrival. The cache container itself does seem to have taken on a little water but seemed to seal back up alright. Marbles have made an escape from the container at some point and left the area covered. Nice to pick up an older hide. Thanks JmanJezza
#2589 A short diversion on our way back to the car and DeadThief and I soon had this one in hand. Logbook was very damp so logging was difficult. Great to see an older cache still in play. Thanks jmanjezza for the placement.
Search4, JohnnoMawbs, the Geohound and I took a different way back from a FTF with a group further up the hill to get a couple more caches, enjoy the view and get aome kilometres in. The Geohound and I are trying to walk 100km in June for a charity fundraiser. We are at just iver 80 km, so will just make it by the end of the month.

Of course I couldn't give up, my weekend off for any other reason than Geocaching. With four Geo-events at Canberra and a bonus friend’s party Saturday night meant that is where I'm headed. It was a great weekend full of fun, dancing, catching up with friends and finding many Geocaches along my travels. This was one of the caches or events, I found (or DNF) or attended at some point over the weekend. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO's of the caches I found, for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTC's and TFTE's!
After the fun further up the hill with the FTF crew, it was time to find some more caches. This time I teamed up with isopeda and search4 to find some caches which were along the long way down the hill. Once at GZ of this one it was a quick find BUT the cache is in need of TLC ASAP. We were only just able to sign our initials on the logbook. Another cache off the to find list.

Found while exploring around the area after a group find.
The log is unsignable and the cache is in desperate need of maintenance. TFTH

Checking out Mt Tuggeranong today and picking up a few caches. Log was slimey and sopping wet so a photo will have to suffice!
Needs maintenance. Cache was found open and strewn about. Everything soaked. Great idea though, thanks for the hide.
No exchanges to make today but I'll remember this one if the geokids get into it at some point. Tftc!
Ahhhh shame I didn't bring my old marbles, I am pretty sure I still have them somewhere from when I was a kid! Could have swapped and / or just added a few! Nice to see the theme still going after all these years, there is some other swag too but plenty of marbles!
Thanks jmanjezza
Thanks jmanjezza
Last one for today. I took two marbles (one for each brat) and left some lego pieces. Hope this is ok as I had no marbles to exchange. Thanks Jmanjezza.
In these coronavirus times, the activity of geocaching seems to fit the bill, providing ample fresh air and exercise opportunities. Today, I sought out some caches on Tuggeranong Hill while walking with a muggle friend. This cache was a straightforward find, being in an obvious position even though my GPS reckoned that is was about 15m from the coordinates. Thank you jmanjezza for installing and maintaining this cache.
Soooo, with all the "self- isolation" going on, Aquilus1 and my original plans for going further afield went up in smoke, but that was OK as we ended up going around Tuggernaong cleaning up the caches here and there that we were missing. There were a few that both of us had not found, and quite a few just one of us had logged previously.
Tuggeranong Hill was a feature, and I have to say I dont understand why it only gets the moniker "hill'... it felt much like Mt Taylor and the contour lines tell me they are roughly the same height.
We even found a letterbox, ammo can and all, with a PROPER stamp! none of this kids stamp set rubbish we have seen of late...
I was a little sad as I felt like a Goodberries today... I havent had one for maybe 10 years, its certainly been a while...but they are closed for the entire weekend. Always the way hey.
Sorry for the generic log, we did so many today

Found before picking up a friend in Calwell. Parked down on Fidge Street and made the short walk up. Didn't realise how steep it was around here! Made a quick find once at GZ, there are plenty of marbles which I'm sure the young ones would enjoy. Nice views at this spot too. TNLN, TFTC Jmanjezza.
Missed this one on my last circuit of the hill, so came back today on a cold & windy day to walk to this one and find the cache. Certainly a heavy one!
Thanks,
Thanks,
#33 - an interesting walk around a secluded part of Calwell. I had *so* many marbles when I was a kid, brought back some good memories. Great cache!
Great cache size , good co ords and plenty of swaps .
Top views from here as well .
Many thanks for the cache invite .

I didn't have any marbles to leave because I lost all of mine years ago (yuck yuck yuck). I'm in the area looking after a friend's dogs while they're away on holidays. It's Christmas Day too. So I arrive, greet the dogs, check the fridge for Christmas leftovers, open the lovely present left for me, then get this cache that is probably the closest one to where I'm staying. I have a travel bug to leave somewhere, but I can't drop it here because the cache is so full of marbles! TFTC.
The other weekend I went for a mountainbike ride around one of my old haunts, Tuggeranong Hill. It's a long time since I went geocaching here, and quite a few have appeared in the last couple of years!
The Marble Exchange, though, was one existing cache that I had for some reason overlooked on many past trips. Not so this time - cache logged!

Such a nice place to go for an afternoon walk. Nice quick find. Thanks for the cache. Signed Cbr 945.
Sunday 5 November 2017 - a beautiful Spring afternoon in the mid 20s with white clouds racing across the sky while we enjoyed a cooling breeze as we approached the top of Tuggeranong Hill. Found 6 from 7 caches in less than 2 hours bike riding and walking approx. 4kms. An easy walk up and around this hill as its a short walk to the top and has good views over the valley.
A quick and easy find and room to deposit a trackable - the pink maned unicorn. Thx p2p. TFTC jmanjezza.

Had a few smiley holes to fill today. This was a nice quick find and not too bad of a hill to walk up. TFTC jmanjezza!!!
After a good solid morning of walking around Tuggeranong hill I made the detour across to find this cache. All found well and as expected there sure was a lot of marbles and swaps, great cache for the kiddies. Thanks for the cache jmanjezza!

Despite the weather, I headed out for some geocaching and exercise. I started with the first WP for a couple of multis, while it was snowing! The weather cleared up nicely as the afternoon progressed. Cache quickly found. TFTC.

Yet another trip down to Tuggeranong this Sunday, this being the area of my focus currently. Today was around Tuggeranong Hill. It was a long day with plenty of hills covering about 15Km on foot. Unsurprisingly, I'm a bit footsore tonight. I parked in Theodore and headed off armed with lunch and an ambitious plan. The weather was good, perhaps a little on the cool side with Spring less than a week away.
I quiick find. I had no marbles to exchange.
TFTC Jmanjezza.

Found it! The hound is enjoying this walk. Thank god it's not windy today.
Left a little swap.

I've spent the day "enjoying" the robust breeze whilst pruning trees, but was still keen to take a stroll on Tuggeranong Hill on the way home. This was the first of the two caches that I found today - a nice easy find it was too. I tried to recruit a couple of kangaroos who stood watching me sign the log to geocaching, but as they pointed out their lack of opposable thumbs makes it difficult to use a GPS device. Nevermind. #1195. 182 days in a row.
A quick find after work. I drove out here and wandered a bit up the hill by torch light. Cache location was fairly obvious when I got close to GZ, so a quick find was made. TNLNSL TFTC.
