Find # 521
A quick search revealed this one but it is not in good health. There is no container, only plastic bags. They are quite wet and the log is only just holding together it is so wet. Fortunately I had a pen that could easily write on wet paper.
TFTC.
I didn't notice on my phone that this one has been archived.
It would be responsible for you to go and retrieve the plastic bags to avoid any artifacts being left in the wild.

It is a big geo-day today with two events and International Geocaching Day. Unfortunately, the weather was wretched with strong winds and freezing showers interspersed with sunshine.
Last cache before heading off to the next gc event at 1500. This cache is not in good shape. It looks like the container is gone & just the plastic bags are left. It's OK for now, but it won't last.

After a few drizzly days we decided to take The Woofer for a run/bike ride today. We had a really bad run of it today - 6 DNFs!! But despite the disappointment, we had fun with the ones we DID find. And we got some exercise, too, which is always a bonus.
A nice easy find, but the contents have seen better days! Removed all the bits of bark and rabbit poop which some kind person had left in the cache, and put all the stickers in a bag. Also left a bunch of goodies...not stickers, but hopefully still ok! TFTC.

Plenty of bird life about today. A quick find at GZ. Muggle kids are enjoying the cache (but haven't destroyed it). Thanks Jmanjezza
Found this with Jonasani on a lunch time caching adventure. TFTC. Thought about swining but then remembered too mamy injuries and not to. Inner child wanted too though.
Found it! We forgot to come prepared with stickers but fun to find nevertheless.
A quick find after a visit to the accountant at Mawson. Cache was exposed - signed log and re-hid with natural camo. TFTC
12:35pm 1/4 - a walk through the long grass. The log is damp and almost full. TFTC
Such a beautiful walk in the misty morning, don't mind the long grass, a long stick and heavy steps steps should ward of any snakes.
NB: Booklet is starting yo get wet

Looks like this cache needs a bit of care. Will drop out shortly to replace the log and container.
Recent rain has made this cache quite soggy - the log and other contents are getting a bit moldy and need a few hours out in the sun if possible.
What a lovely tree at GZ. Not quite a drive-by but we did to park very close by. The cache is safe and dry. We signed the log and headed back on our way. Thanks for the cache.

Out doing a little night caching while one of my daughters attended a meeting in the area. A quick find. Thanks Jmanjezza
Wandered over before the U13s footy match across the road. The grass was long and moist but other than wet shoes, there were absolutely no dramas navigating and getting to the cache. All was quiet in the area as the log was signed and cache returned with a bit more camo that perhaps the birds have been disturbing.
Thanks for the cache jmanjezza!
Cheers

Quick find on the way back from the shops to get some dinner. Funky little park this one: I bet the land would be worth with an absolute fortune, but good to see some remnant vegetation amongst the 'burbs.

Thanks for the kid friendly cache. My little lad enjoyed swapping stickers. Cheers!
There was a roo at the cache. Didn't want to scare him, but he started jumping all around us. Didn't go for the road though, so we did a quick sign and was out of there. TFTC Jmanjezza.
Took a "small" detour to grab a couple of geocaches on what started as my walk home from Symonston to Kambah but now a geocache hunt between Symonston and Mawson. Long grass, pointy bushes, and lots of 8 legged guardians. Probably not too kid friendly at the moment. Still the cache is in good condition.

#3044 - 18:00; Dropped in to grab this one after a day of caching in order to complete the requirements for a new challenge cache which requires finds in all of Canberra's suburbs. Not sure how Mawson was missing from my list, but is was and now it's not. TFTC Jmanjezza

It is not often I get two caching outings in a day, but my youngest needed to get out of the house to stop fighting with his elder brother, so went a-caching. After finding a nearby puzzle, we dawdled home finding a few more. A quick find here. I was surprised to disturb a couple of small kangaroos in this urban reserve. TFTC.

So I have been compiling my list of Canberra Suburbs that Ive collected caches in for the Challenge cache published by Cankid. I noticed I didn't have a cache in Mawson so I checked the map and decided I would give this one a crack today for my daily to cross Mawson off the unfound list.
Headed over after work, still in work attire. I managed to find a reasonable place to park the geomobile and then I wandered over towards GZ. Wow the grass is long and dry here so I took it nice and slow as I got closer to the listed coordinates. I had a quick look around and soon spotted the cache, pretty sure I should have approached from the opposite side but agh well, the life of a cacher hey [:p]
Previous finder forgot to replace the log book back in the zip lock bag, sorry but that annoys me, grrrr
Signed the log, didn't have any stickers in the geobackpack so I placed the log book back in the zip lock and replaced the cache where found.
Thanks for the geocache placement Jmanjezza, another daily done and another suburb checked off for the challenge

TFTC. Quite a bit long grass about but only a few seeds stuck in socks. Was startled by 2 kangaroos hiding on other side of tree while signing log.
Thought we'd skip this one as it was raining. But it slowed for a tic and I persuaded geospouse to make a grab for it. Of course the grass was long and made us soaking and then it started raining proper. So we are wet hahaha. Sorry geokids we got no stickers to give. TFTC
We started our Christmas Day near here and managed to pick up this cache. [^][^] Thanks to Jmanjezza for placing this cache.
Found quickly. Super hot day so got my name on the log and got outta there promptly
#440. 84 days in a row.
Nice, quick find. Grass around the cache location is rather long, so I picked up a lot of grass seeds.

Gumby Maca and I made Plenty of noise in case there were snakes around. It was a nice quick find. We rearranged the sticks a little so it wasn't so visible to muggles. TFTC.
[green]A pleasant day out in the Valley of Woden, and with such warmth what could be smarter than wading through tall grass? [^] Plenty of noise made, cache soon located, and stick-pile left in a slightly more minimalist fashion [blue]Thanks for the cache Jmanjezza
Sticks and stickers for a lovely afternoon of cacheing on my way home. TFTC

After a big day, we did some caches before heading back home. This was a nice drive-by cache for us. Cache is full of nice stickers. TNLN SL, TFTC!
No kids with me today but MadDog came along. A quick find, a few sniffs in the grass for the old girl and then back to car. No rain yet, but it feels like it is on the way. SL TFTC
Lunchtime walk time again. It is a pleasant walk, enlivened by collecting a cache. Thanks for placing it! My entry in the log follows someone who'd found their first cache, at age 11. Congrats, and it is good to see the activity spreading.
After a big day in the lab I was in the mood for a bit of fresh air and exercise to nab some caches
Next on my evening mini mission was this one. Had a hunch where the hide might be when I was nearing GZ-yep! There it is! Nice and easy [^]. TNLNSL before heading back to the car to head off
Thanks for the hide, Jmanjezza

Nice quick find and also taken Sparky Travel Bug. Canadian Backpacker Geocoin wasn't in the cache.
Merry Christmas! With nothing else better to do thought would check out the local GC. Low and behold stumbled across a muggle aka kangaroo, think he was resting right at the GZ. TFTC

TFTC love ones especially for geokids after getting slightly stuck in the thorn bush found and signed
Sunday 25 August 2013 - a glorious sunny winter's day without a cloud in the sky however a slight cool breeze kept my jacket zipped. Thx p2p, TFTC.
Found this with Rick on way to watch ice hockey game. TFTC.

A quick find thank you. There was only one sticker so it would be good if future visitors could leave something for the geokids. YFTC Jmanjezza.
Came armed with Geodaughter who did all the finding ("I want to be the geocache detector, Dad"), the retrieving and the signing.
Didn't have any stickers to swap, but probably would recommend that the supply be replaced at some stage - most of the stickers are a little dampish.

Found whilst attending appointments on 'the other side of town'. Nice little strip of bush land in suburbia. TFTC - unfortunately did not have any stickers to leave.
