Out on a night caching raid with egginthesky. Wow, it was a bit freaky being that close to the army barracks at night, we were imagining a huge spot light to shine down on us at any moment. But luckily the guards were having to deal with quite a few drunk muggle army peoples heading back to the barracks. Thankfully it didn't take us long to find the cache. Signed the logbook and replaced as found.

On a night out with[purple] Nyssaflutterby [/purple]caching through the area, we stopped off to find and log this cache. this was the last one for the night and unfortunately, even though it was the middle of the night, there were still a few muggles around.

Finally I found this. I've been here so many times and this time I put my hand straight on it. I can't believe I would have missed it before. Anyway, a great sense of achievement gained.
It is incredible that I have had to come here something like four times to make the find on a 1/1 cache! What a nemesis! I reckon it's been more than a year since my first attempt but with a calendar day to be filled and a short window of opportunity, it had to be here today.
4.10pm on a Thursday: seems like every car in the base is leaving right now so there are plenty of distractions for our man on duty. As others have noted, I suspect the sentries have actually become used to seeing visitors dropping by and resting just here for a minute or two. I am now trying to outwait a trucky in front of me who is wasting a ton of fuel. I guess he's waiting for the extremely long line of cars to diminish before he leaves, but there's no sign of a break at present.
Great job on the camo paint here and by golly that is one of the strongest magnets I've ever had to deal with so there's no fear of this one falling off. TFTC guys and good luck to all.

Arriving at this one and seeing the area it was in did not excite me one bit. I see it is public land here, but gee.. not somewhere the public should hang out. I parked us as close as possible and with the hint in mind, we headed out for the grab. While Net88 dumped a bunch of stuff out of her handbag into the nearby bin, I quickly felt, retrieved, signed and rehid the cache. All done we got back into the car and out of there in record time. Glad to have that one off the map. TFTC Pride of Ogres.
Out caching with Captain Terror and we both just wanted this one off our maps. Attempting it before we both knew what we were in for and I conveniently needed to clean out my hand bag. So there we were I was trying to make it seem like we were meant to be there and capt t finding signing and rehiding the log. Thanks for the cache.
Was even more aware of where we were for this one did the old ooh I dropped something geograndad said a guard was very interested why some old lady was down on all fours looking for something soon had cache in hand TFTC
Struggling to look like I have purpose when I've been digging around for 20 minutes under the watchful eyes of the security guards.
Out caching today with An Old Hag

I once used to come through these gates myself, when I had a posting here, as I was a WRAAC, in SIGNALS CORPS, as a Cypher Operator, (obviously in the army).
I am really surprised that this cache is still here, with all the activity and the guards, and the pass office.
I would have thought that they might think a bomb, or something was planted here, and I think that this is a security risk. anyway, I found the stash

Nemesis cache! have walked away several times now but today I was determined and still couldn't see it or feel it. Very disappointed!
Lots of people in uniform, waited with willis007 while geokid made a attempt at being stealth. Soon located and returned
Easy find by geoson. Using the old pretend to be on the phone and aimlessly wandering around trick worked wonders. Stealth definitely needed though, even at 7.30 at night, watchful guards and army men everywhere. Tftc
The security were staring at us,but that didn't stop us . Soon we had the cache in hand in the fourth place we looked. TFTC.
Found on a wet Sunday morning. The beauty of the rain meant that I think the watchful eyes cared less for me as others huddled away under shelter
Chickened out after stares from numerous base workers and security guard. The over zealous placing of the trespass warning signs didn't help either!
Going through Brisbane checking on caches available realized that the last time I was here I didn't log this one. Did it in the dark and got distracted by a phone call and forgot to log it. Stealth was even needed 8pm. TFTC.
found this quite quickly with kenneth.dougall

Took all our stealth to be eating, resting, tying laces and "talking on the mobile (GPS)" before finding, signing and returning this log. Hope we are not on Army Video!!!
Found @ 09:15 on 18/03/2012. This was my 7th find of 35 total finds today whilst out and about in the rain.
I am meant to be here sir!

Well gunnie, kaisho, and ghostgums may have been able to stand around looking natural but today in pouring rain i could have no excuse for approaching the office or standing near it. I was disappointed because I'd gone to Brisbane with this and several nearby caches on my list. I guess this one will have to be confined to barracks for a bit longer as far as bristracker is concerned
Strewth, you need some real good stealth skills to tackle this one. Arrived at GZ and saw the gatehouse guard watching us. Gunnie and I made with the fake phone calls that had us walking around circles to avoid the attention being put on Kaiso53 who was busy retrieving the cache and signing the log. There of course a steady stream of cars going into the base to keep the guard busy.
Anyhow all done and we were off, making out we might be at the wrong place.
Found while out and about today caching around the north side with Kaisho53 and Gunnie69.

Second attempt at this cache today..
Arrived with Ghostgums & Gunnie69 and while they made with the distractions, phone call, shoe tying etc I sat down & quickly retrieved the log and annotated our presence...
Log & cache restored & we moved along happily without drawng any attention (we hope)..

This one has been sitting as a lone icon on my map for many, many moons. I managed to secure the other nearby cache without any trouble but this one just made me feel uncomfortable and was not helped by the eagle eyed guard at the nearby box...
This morning, out and about with Ghostgums and Kaisho53, I thought it would be a handy time to have a go. We arrived around 0630 and all was quiet. We casually strolled over, I checked the phone, Ghostgums fiddled with something and Kaisho53 managed to site down immediately on top of the cache and extract the container from the first place he put his hand... Sweeeeet...
While maintaining our fake calls etc, Kaisho53 took care of the logging and once done, we shot back to the car and moved on. I wonder whether the guards know about this one... They must do right... [?]
Glad to have this one ticked off.
Cheers Pride of Ogres.

Found this Cache in the afternoon with GeoDaughter, while returning home. TFTC
So very scary, this one... Sat on a nice bench next to some army guy, then another one sat nearby, then 2 police officers arrived in the car park, then the second guy's lift arrived, then another car pulled up right in front of me and just stayed there, then the first guy's lift arrived. Got up and wandered around a few times, and sat down nearby, all the while searching surreptitiously. Took nearly half an hour to make the grab but I got it In the end . TFTC, and I reckon I now have nerves of steel. Can't imagine what the security guy thought of me.
Nice stealth cache.
log signed and replaced.
made use of the rest to get a drink in before heading off again.

A lot of action here today, sat and observed the traffic, whilst surreptitiously felt for a cache. Thankfully the cache was soon to hand, had a cheery talk to a chap calling into the offices nearby, he departed I signed the log, replaced the cache and nonchalantly walked down the road to my car TFTC

Found with Stairman1 and geodog. Lucky geodog had a "sore paw" which allowed me to have a good look on my hands and knees. I located the cache container and I left Stairman1 sign the book while I had a look at geodog's "other sore paw". Thanks geodog and thanks Price of Ogres.
Found! Cheers for my very first geocaching experience, it was an unexpected pleasure
Gunnie69 & I had this next on our list today - however realised we were under instant surveillance from the nearby gatehouse security as soon as b=we got within 50 - 60 mtrs of GZ...

This was the first cache I ever saw; it was shown to me by an experienced geocacher and it is what made me decide to start searching.
There is something so cheeky about this cache, in full view of the security guards - I think it is great!

Big drama with this one!! Mr Bushies2 missed the carpark and drove through the security gate with the guard looking very angry at us [:(!] so we stopped nearby and Mr Bushies2 got out and walked to the guard, explaining that he was deaf, the guard kept talking then he realised that he couldn't hear and gestured an outline of paper which he meant a pass paper, Mr Bushies2 said no and the guard waved at him to get out of the area then we returned to drive past the gate and found a spot to park nearby...Mr Bushies2 went out and found it, didn't look at the guard again The traffic was a huge headache that afternoon. Thanks Pride of Orgres.
Quick easy night find, was a bit nervous about the security but played it casual on my phone.

Found tonight. The guard must have been wondering what we were upto, but we found it relatively quickly and were on our way to the next cache before long.
Lots of traffic and muggles about. GZ is in full view of anyone in the Pass Office and at the entrance gate. The security dude at the gate kept eyeballing me so I thought that rather than risk a confrontation I would leave it for another day.
Having attempted to find this one on several occasions I finally got it tonight whilst waiting for a friend to pick me up. TFTC. was alot of fun.
We were debating whether we would be able to do this one but with much courage or foolhardiness we decided to have a go. Sunday morning approaching lunchtime we pulled up. Enough traffic to distract the guard but not enough to be bothered by Muggle onlookers. Quick find. TFTC.
With the thousands of times I have passed this spot, needed to do this one asap on arriving back in Brisvegas. Nice audacious spot, guard had a few things on his plate, so all good. Found with a couple of muggle AJ mates, who think this is the craziest pasttime they have ever heard of.

After reading a few recent logs, i wondered if this one was even worth a try. As it turns out, i was a lot easier than i had expected. I waited until the guard had a few cars to deal with before making my move. All quiet on a sunday morning luckily (and only one guard!) Thanks Pride of Ogres
799 - This cache was one of those ones that I had thought we would probably never do after looking at some of the previous logs and seeing how close the guard tower was to GZ. Today we were in the area and there were a few people leaving the base so there was some distractions so I thought, why not give it a go. After arriving at the likely location, a quick check of a couple of places whilst I was "on the phone" located us the cache at 1757 hours. Thanks for the challenge Pride of Ogres, it was an interesting cache for sure.
I knew this ones locale for a a while-just hadn't got around to getting it. Found after some laps in the pool after the sun FINALLY came out for a while!
Deadly quiet so it was an easy to grab. Thanks!
Deadly quiet so it was an easy to grab. Thanks!
Visiting on course and left my GPS in Wagga so this was found based on the instructions and deduction - easy find in a logical place but very tricky to extract without raising attention of the guard box. Made it look like I was looking for my ID in my bag which worked.
Nice cache. No heat from the guard house. They mustn't have seen through my mock phone conversation to see spare hand searching like mad. : ) TFTC

Found on a warm but clear day caching in northern Brisbane. There was a guard on duty so I sat down and found the cache! Thanks to Pride of Ogres for the cache.
I am new to GPS and this was my first attempt at Geocaching. Curiosity won out, so I stopped at this location last night on my way home from work. It was dark and wet so there was very little activity in the area which made it an easy find. It has been a while since a message has been logged, so I am happy to say that the geocache is still there. Thanks.
Plenty of people coming and going today but needing to retie the most problematic shoe laces in history gave the cover required to do the grab. TFTH
This was cache # 5 of 30 on a fun day out caching with my best friend La Kedi. I was on my way to pick up La Kedi for a days caching and was running a little early so I decided to grab a few caches along the way, After working in Security for ten years I was not to put off by the guards close by and soon had the cache in hand and was on my way again. My thanks to Pride of Ogres for the cache.
Fangsoki tracked down this little fellow. We tooks turns to search and keep an eye on the numerous muggles that appeared to be all around us.
With two people we could search a bit more and not be so obvious.
The whole set up freaked me out a bit (I would rather be in the middle of the bush looking for an ammo tin) but thankfully Fangsoki came up with the goods and I never have to return to this particular GZ.

I decided to enlist a Radnoski's help on this one. I think Radnoski thought I was overstating the muggle potential on this one. We neared GZ - I stood up while Radnoski had a fossick. No go there. I tied a shoe. No definitely not there. Then some taxi turned up - the driver was some passenger hungry freak - going around to everyone in the area in his car. Despite me shaking my head at the driver - he kept annoying Radnoski. Radnoski at his point packed up and was off back to the car. I was not to be outdone by this evil cache. I tied my shoe again (you can't tie them enough) - success! Retrieved the beast and wandered back to the car to sign the log. My drama class teacher at school would have been proud of how I put this back. Wandered back to GZ "talking" on my phone - pretending I was talking to a mate in the barracks that was running late. Whacked it back in place as subtle as she goes and was out of there. Without Radnoski, I don't know if I could have done it - together we narrowed it down enough for me to make the dive. TFTC Pride of Orgres - I am very glad that one is out the way
Was more like "Too scared to find it". The proximity was alarming for myself. There is nothing remotely army-like about me - perhaps my cargo pants?? I actually made it to GZ and pretended I was on the phone. Tried a few places and decided to give up the hunt - it was just too close for my liking. I will return at a later time - perhaps with a chum that can make me not look like a "fish out of water". TFTH Pride of Ogres
not in my greens so i had to be a bit more discreet and pretend i was waiting for an AJ mate.
We'd avoided this one up to now, thinking we could never be quite stealthy enough! Hit it in a night raid, all went well.
Log falling apart, but all nice & dry. I think it may have lost its staple somewhere.

Well that wasn't nearly as hard as I expected it would be. Last time I came past here there were muggles muggles everywhere, but the sole guard tonight was occupied with his duties and we were able to go about our business (hopefully) inconspicuously. TFTC, Ogres!
Great way to get onto some security watchlist. Still I couldn't drive away and found it very quickly. TFTC
After trying not to look like we were looking for something we gave up.
A passing fire truck with lights blazing provided a diversion, and we found it straight away.

Got to GZ but felt very uncomfortable about trying to retrieve cache as the guard in the box seemed to be looking my direction. Another day for this one perhaps.
I felt kind of naughty doing this one all sneaky like in front of the guard. Hopefully he just thought I was having a rest from carrying the baby on my back. Thankfully the cache was in the first place I put my hand on so it was a quick rest and then out of there before they sent us off to Guantánamo. [:o)] TFTC
I had driven down here some time ago to look for this one but there were busloads of soldiers milling about including right on GZ so it was with a huge sigh of relief that the place was almost deserted today except for the ever vigilant guard. La Kedi solved this problem though by standing between the two of us, leaving me to retrieve the cache obscured from view. TFTC
I must admit I was very uncomfortable getting this cache with the security guard watching. Without gesoson, I don't thinkI would have tried. But the cache was a quick find, and was signed and put back before a bunch of people came out of the nearby office.

Hmm, I was not very comfortable at this one at all. About 0915 and although the arrival traffic was slow, it allowed the guard too much time to look around and see who else was loitering... Well, I was... I took a seat and did the old fake phone call thing but, was not at all comfortable in conducting any type of search. What I did notice as I sat down though was that not only are you in plain sight of the gate guards, but the pass office in 15m off to the side... Way too many eyes for me.
Question is... if you go after business hours or perhaps in the dark, how can you look like you're supposed to be there... [?]

Kinda hard to get to this one due to the security guard staring at us like a leapord about to pounce. We had to get it when he was destracted opening the boom gate. Then another security guard came over to add to it. Quckily hid the cache when they wern't looking and got out of there as quickly as we could! TFTC
I have driven past this one before, not even daring to stop the car. This time I had La Kedi with me who has a somewhat stronger heart than me. We took the youngest geokid as a distraction tool (she's good at that) and finally plucked up the courage to look. Once the cache was signed and replaced we walked back to the car in a nice orderly manner to try to fool the military police (who I'm sure were on their way by then) into thinking we were not so suspect after all. I think my heart was still pumping an hour after we got home! TFTC...I think.
Ooh, scary scary scary, spent way too long trying to casually look for it, then used my geoniece as cover and just went right ahead and searched. Found it, signed it, popped it back, hopefully while the eagle-eyed sentries were busy waving cars through. TFTC! ='.'=
This was certainly a busy little spot today, however I managed to take a rest and put my hand straight on it the my relief. TFTC.
I don't recommend trying this one at 17:30. Headed over here from RAEME but there were parked muggles, office muggles, guardmuggles and soldiermuggles all looking at me. My blue t-shirt and shorts didn't exactly fit in, so I carried on down the road.....
Was very busy today, so had to pretend I was doing "other things", happy to have it in hand quickly.

Parked in the side street after coming from 'Time to change the nappy' cache. Saw three young females running from the cache point and thought someone else just beat me. The dived into a small car then entered the Enoggera Barracks - must have been talking to the guard. Quick pick up (cache not females) then off to 'Snakes house'.
Found this cache last year.
