This cache is now back in business. The cache has been replaced is now a purple Mentos container camouflaged with black insulation tape. I accidentally dropped the 132 log microcache logsheet in a puddle so settled for some hotel paper. Could the next finder print of a 64 log microlog and insert into the cache too. Thanks. The new hint is: Nestled inside. Hopefully Paz&Co will update the cache note soon. TFTC
Arrived and had a quick scout around with no success. Then muggles arrived so we went on to Aramoana
Found today by Mr & Mrs 1SR at 1100. Pulled up and there was a car load of muggles feeding ducks. Read the information boards. They were fantastic and worth a read. Th e car left shortly after which allowed for a qucik grab and sign.

We found the cache easily on our way to Billy Browns...First ones in the new logbook. Interesting part of history in this place. Thank you for this cache!
Stopped here on the way back to town from Aromoana. Found the cache after a short search. It was in plain view. As previously logged the container has a hole - probably a consequence of the very tight hiding place. The main body of the container is a quite brittle plastic and maybe a more flexible container would be suitable. Replaced in the hiding place and put the stick back to shield from prying eyes. Thanks for the cache!!
Picked up lunch at the bakery before driving out here, and after being told by the cafe across the road from the bakery that lunch wasn't available. They obviously don't realise that geocachers often have lunch at 2:30 ..... or even later!!! Annie read the info & took photos. PB extracted the cache from its hidy hole. There is a hole in the container, but the innards were dry. Might be good to fix it before that changes.

Easy to find. Unfortunately I'm not sure when the container was broken, but there was a crack/hole in it. This could've been done when someone was either pulling it out or putting it back in, as it's a very tight fit.
1600hrs Yes a real toughy to get out of the hole. Interesting history, thanks. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
A quick driveby when passing by with Old Boots. Cache tight in it's hidey hole. TFTC
Returned to the exact parking area where my Wife and I had had lunch a few years pre caching. Really interesting reading and well worth a cache!
Thanks

Can't see how I missed this last time! Waited 5 minutes for a muggle car to leave then strolled over and found it in the first place I looked. TFTC.

A neat wee cache in a well hidden spot. Our GPS had us on the other side of the road but common sense (and thinking like a cacher) won through for the find. We also had a bit of a struggle with the hidey hole but we were able to sign the log. An interesting piece of history and a beautiful spot, thanks for bringing it to our attention. TFTC [^]
Had a bit of trouble with this one until I (genuinely, this time) bent down to tie my shoelace, looked up and saw the spot winking at me. Great spot, interesting history and a good hide. What more can someone want on a beaut Autumn day!

Quick find and a very interesting stop. I'd love to know how well the ships worked!?! TFTC
An interesting place to visit and an informative board with some history at the GZ.
As others have commented it was a bit of a challenge getting the cache from its hidey hole.

Quick find, but much harder to retrieve the cache from it's hidey-hole. It's a tight fit.

Quick to find but it took awhile to pry the cache from its hiding spot. Interesting history; have never stopped here before. TFTC!
[Found without much bother, ]but retrieval was hindered by the gap being too narrow. I guess the tree has had a growth spurt!

The terminus of my bike ride for the afternoon. Nice spot here. Actually managed to look in the right place first go too, so that was a bonus. Thanks.
An interesting bit of naval history thank you, rather scary way of doing things!

Dangit - checked the obvious spots but no luck this time. Caching mojo clearly broken this evening! Interesting area, despite the loo paper in the undergrowth.
Stopped as going past on Saturday, in the rain. Nice to draw attention to the history.
TFTC! Great spot for a cache. I was thinking of putting one here myself but I guess thats the concequences of not having a spare cache in the car! Thanks anyway!:):):)
5 minute find, TFTC wild weather here today, could be a pleasant spot in the summertime.
Found after finding most of the caches around the waitati port chalmers area. Enyoyed learning about the history.

Ahh, ftf success, (9:20pm) made sweeter after not getting the ftf at the new lawyers head cache earlier in the evening.
