Sorry guys, this one has become a little too far away to easily maintain and has vanished. RC
Four DNF's and a Needs Maintenance that hasn't been responded to since the last find, plus an unanswered email from me to the CO, leads me to pop a Needs Archived on this one.
Wasps? Check. Mud? Check. Weird objects hidden in the long grass? Check. Cache? Um... no
Seems to be causing some grief for what should be an easy find. I think maybe the owner should poke their nose in and check this one's availability.
GPS had me in the middle of the road. Widened the search and looked in all the likely spots but nothing.
Out with Net88 on the hunt with this one today. Having just been to see the Queen Mary 2 nearby and getting to watch aircraft taking off to the west from Brisbane, this was a good day for seeing it all. Set about the hunt and we looked all over. Fence posts, signs, posts, more signs, the whole lot to no luck. Was not a fan of the wasps having built behind the sign at the end of the road, so be sure to watch out for them. A quick PAF was fired off and confirmed that the cache was not where they had found it. After checking to make sure it hadn't fallen down, we decided this one was probably not there.
I parked the geobicycle against a post nearby while I searched for this cache.
Search over about 10 sec later. not too many options around here.
And then I was off to find another.

Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Nice quick find while out in the area today, the retrieval of the cache was slightly more difficulty as the tall grass is slowly surrounding GZ.

found after a bit of time checking all things nearby as GZ was about 5 mts out, found on the ground nearby where it should be, SL then replaced where i think it was originally TFTC
Too early to pick up parents from the airport, never fear a cache is here. TFTC!
The cache was one of 107 finds during a three day visit to Brisbane from Melbourne where it was work during the day and caching during the night.
Last afternoon of grabbing a few caches before heading back to Vic. A nice quick driveby as I worked the NE area of Brisbane.
Thanks radiochild.

I practically almost parked on top of this one. Lucky for me there was no plane spotting muggles in this spot today. Cache is in good condition. A short stop and onto the next cache. Cheers Radiochild.
A fairly quick find whilst on my way back to airport. Almost came the wrong way until I took a closer look at the map. TFTC
First cache of the trip, and what was also the first of many, many eclipse tins Cheers Gav [8276]
An out of the way spot for sure and too high for me. Luckily I had a long reaching stick in the car. Plenty of ants here and some came away with me .. aaarrgh ... but there are still plenty more..... TFTC
823 - Its been a while since we have been out this way so it was a good excuse to return this afternoon to pick up this cache at 2:42pm. Still in good condition but yes the ants still love the cache. Thanks for the hide Radiochild. We saw and heard a few planes land this afternoon as we drove to and from the cache.
We spent a few hours in Brisbane before we had to fly back home.
Special thanks to the owner and greetings from Germany,

I didn't have to dodge any plane spotting muggles but the local ranger held me up for a while as he chased a stray dog. The dog had a tag and was promptly redelivered home with threats of a stern talking to by the ranger. After he left I quickly had the cache in hand signed the log and went on my way. An interesting use in this area for old telegraph poles with local information. Also if I had gotten here a bit earlier I believe the local pub, (The Pink) does some nice meals for Sunday lunch. TFTC

2.29pm 5/3/11 - while on my way to the airport to pick hubby up, took the opportunity to do a few out here. Surprised where this led me, people still live out here? One point of interest to get this one, either you must be very tall or take another person as I am vertically challenged at the best of times. Had to use a rain protector to reach this one, but getting it back to its original spot was a bit more trickier. Managed to get it sort of there. Hope it doesn't fall. TFTC.
Was about to give up on this one. Was fairly sure I had right spot but was having no k when I thought maybe it fell down in the grass. Bingo.
Put back where I thought it belonged.

Nice easy find after dropping my dad at the airport earlier. Replaced container with a new regular eclipse tin as the lid had rusted off the old one. Thanks Radiochild
Took one of my daughters to the airport leaving home at 5:30am. Good chance to do some geocaching on the way home. This was our first today. Nice hide. Hinge is broken, but lid stays on. Old log was pretty damp though, as well as full, so we changed the log and put in a new ziplock bag to protect it. (Owner let me know if you want the old log as there was no room to leave it in the cache). Thanks for the cache!!

First find of a busy caching day for Aussie Liahona and Bristracker. Saw a big fat snake slither off into the long grass just as I arrived. I let Aussie L go in that part of the field, why should I have all the fun? Well she found the cache, not in the long grass, and the log was rather wet and full so we dug around in the geovehicle and I found a nice new log we could put in a nice new bag and we replaced the cache safely. Planes flew overhead as we contemplated the water lying all around - the result of all the rain we've had lately. Thanks for a good start to our day.
Last day in wet Brissy, and time to pick up another 30 or so caches to get to find 7400.
Thanks for the cache, and for bringing me here.

After being kidnapped by Goldielochs (lochb) to go caching and then returning with Nomad to do some more night caching, the party is over and it's time to take the flying bus back to Adelaide. Nothing like sleeping in your own nest.

A quick find in the rain. This was our last before heading back to the flying bus terminal. Although we came to Brisbane so that I could attend some work meetings, we've managed to find a few caches (with thanks to lochb), so thanks to all those who placed caches for us to find!
A quick visit after attending the Aviation Careers Expo on Boronia Road. We found the cache on the ground approximately 10 meters away from where our GPSr indicated that ground zero was. We somehow managed to sign the soaking wet log. We replaced the cache where we felt it was supposed to be located. Please note that the cache container is exposed to the elements at one end as the lid/cap is missing. Thanks for the cache.
It was late enough that the location was deserted when we arrived. Having read previous logs we were a little concerned about how many ants we would encounter - but to our surprise there where none. The cache was clean and tidy although lacking a lid. The Log was dry and in good condition. Some maintenance before it rains might be a good idea though. Thanks Radiochild.
Found this one on a good Geocaching Day !
12 Founds ! 6 with my GeoMitsubishiMirage and 6 with my GeoCycle !
And on a sunny day ! ... of course we're in Queensland !
Cache is inhabited by a colomny of ants... with larvae...
Needs replacement container ! Sorry, Didn't have any on me.

This was cache # 4 of 34 on day one of my Brisvegas Tour. No one around at this early hour of the morn or should that be late hour of the night? I soon discovered the little black ants up here bite as the container was full of them. My thanks to Radiochild for the cache.
at 15:51. No trouble realising where it is. Not everyone would find the next bit easy.
TFTC Radiochild. The cache is fine except that ants had turned it into a nest complete with eggs. Clearing out took a bit of doing.

An easy find, the tin needs to be replaced as the lid is no longer connected SL TFTC
There was not a soul in sight so I could planespot in peace, I mean, cache in peace. Cache was found quickly. The lid has rusted off and is no longer attached, although it does still slot on. The ants are still making the cache their home although their numbers were not too high. I managed to walk right next the only cobblers pegs in the vicinity and spent a good five minutes pulling them out of my clothes. At least the plant has now been denuded and will not pose the same problem to future searchers. TFTC
Ground has dried out now, so no muddy feet today. the ants do seem to have multiplied however, so had a strong aroma of squashed ants for hours afterwards.

Found today with Dannza. Cache had been invaded by ants so gave it a spray to keep them at bay and was a little damp so stuck a packet of silica gel in there to keep it dry. Quick find TFTC
Found it, it does indeed look like the little black ants have moved in, not too many though. Log in good condition, SL TFTC
Great quick find. I parked right under the cache in my car and got out and grabbed the prize.
No wasps this time the little black ants ate them lol

Easy find after the GPSr had me walking back along the road. Followed the geotrail and soon had the cache in hand. There is a nest of wasps very near the container, so future searchers should be careful. TN/LN/SL
Hunting with Svn07 in this area, this was a nice quick find. Airport was fairly busy this morning, but there was no clearance required from air traffic control to get to GZ. The ants clearly scarred from there harsh eviction have not returned and the container was clean and dry.
Cheers Radiochild.

Another day of disagreeing GPS devices [:(!] and I thought mine was on the money as my likely hidey-hole was full of ants! Perhaps they moved over here after the eviction. Wasn't long before Gunnie69 was announcing the find [^].
Pinkenba is such a quaint and little known (or appreciated) part of Brisbane...nice to visit here.
Thanks for the cache Radiochild. Cheers, svn07

Dunno about the An124 being the world's second largest aircraft
If you're talking wingspan, it's 4th (OK! 3rd if you only count aircraft actually flying today)
If you're talking max takeoff weight it's 3rd
If you're talking height to top of tail then it's 3rd
If you're talking length then it's 3rd
But still an impressive sight [^]

Thanks to the fairly obvious previous log, this took about 5 seconds to find. A nice park down the road looks like it's worth a visit with the Geokids another day

Easy find.
Geo kids enjoyed the run in the park and a throw of the baseball.
No muggles to deal with.

The GPS put me in the middle of no where so it was a search of the obvious locations which showed the cache.
I had to do a bit of improvisation to retrieve the cache.
A couple of planes passed by but I'm sure the flying muggles didn't see what I was doing.
