Logs
Mini geocaches thought this one was treemendous and wanted to log it straight away! TFTC - this one was fun!
If anyone is able to pop a new log in place in passing or finding I would be grateful. Unable to visit at present.
Thank you we were heading to the beach then we saw on geocache after our last one then we found it.
After missing out on finding the last geocache minicacher #1 was keen to get this one. "I saw it from miles off" he declared as he beelined straight for it. Nice hide. Tftc
Spent about 10 minutes looking around with the kids but no luck. Tempers were fraying and the twigs and jandals werent a good mix. Will try another day.
NZB , Itchyfeet2020, Mr MacGoo and I stayed in Dannevirke at the beginning of the trip. We we're finding the Vikings with Itchyfeet2020 and Mr MacGoo.This was for most of the day. After that NZB and I went to go Greytown. During this time I found 3 joint first to finds with Taybee, TaybeeNZ, TwigNZ and Yeti. I also completed NZB's geoart and lot's of NZBs with a smattering of Skindos. Now we are heading to the Hutt and Wellington...slowly
Saw something that made me immediately think "that would be the perfect camo", but didn't look at it properly at first. On the verge of giving up, I checked it again. Success!
Spot on coordinates and once again miss toddler managed to find what was hidden. Beautiful spot. Thanks for placing and maintaining.Apologies for the late log. It appears that we are nearly as bad as armchair loggers??. We actually DO go out and find the caches but because we plan to write up longer and nicer logs at home we also can (read: often do) forget to do so. We could blame the teen and toddler, but travelling the world then moving into a new country unexpectedly (NZ) means we were always busy and now have 500logs to catch up on ?? they are all from drafts so the date of the log will be when we actually visited (not today) which will align with the physical paper log but not CO receiving this email.
#350.I enjoyed this simple find also appreciated the type of hide. Simple but effective.TFTC.
Parked in the carpark and strolled to GZ. Cache took a minute because of its clever camoflauge. The conditions of both the cache and log are great. Cheers.Sleepy was here!
After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. Another fun, quick grab before adding our ink to the log. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA

Currently in Wellington on a brief trip and trying to pick up a few selected caches for different challenges whilst down here. This was just a side cache to pick up but a lovely area and we enjoyed the walk. TFTC - a favourite from me
This was an entertaining cache.
A bloke in his car saw me emerge from the beach and duck off into the trees behind him.
This cache was found after i'd first checked out some other trees in the general area. Can't be too sure..
Clever camo.
Dagnavit, I had no paper.
Still managed to sign myself someplace.
Amusingly, as I emerged from the bushes, a couple was walking past.
Thank you for hiding this cache here some fourteen years ago.

Another find in this lovely sunny Thursday. Few people around at the moment so had to be sneaky. Cache is in good order but needs more paper -sorry, didn’t have some with me. TFTC
I'm sure it's there, just couldn't get a good look cause of people hanging about. Another day
Was expecting a bit of a search on this one but spotted something straight away that made wonder … and there it was. Nicely camouflaged and gets a favourite point from me.

Just when I was about to give up due to daylight savings being over and more virtual to find I found it. Sneaky.
Out and about chasing numbers for the "Wheel of Challenges". Was trying to beat high winds, rain, thunder and lightening that had almost arrived.
A wee story ... had a 'parked up' muggle enter the off track area i was looking in, he zig zagged a number of times at same time as i did, hmmm. When stepping back into the carparking area i asked if he looking for something - "yes", he had lost his mobile a few days ago so battery would be dead, hmm. Showed him what geocaching was all about - he left the area soon after. Glad there were other muggles buzzing around at that point.
Then got back to looking for the well cameod cache, reviewing past logs helped me hone in. Was able to sign without incident, whew. A fav point from me. TFTC

I decided this cache would be my final find in the park tonight. It was getting late and the gate at the entrance would be closing shortly, so a quick retrieval of this cache was necessary to avoid getting my vehicle locked in. I quickly drove up here and parked near GZ after finding GC38E close by. I read the cache description and some previous logs, which made me assume I would be on the hunt for something kind of interesting. I followed my GPS towards GZ and quickly spotted something of interest. Sure enough, the cache was then revealed to me. I signed the logsheet and re-hid as found before returning to my car and leaving this park.
Very creative and well camo'ed little hide and thanks for bringing me out this way.

Found with a Muggle work colleague. We were out at QE II Park for a work Christmas function and one of my colleagues who knew my penchant for geocaching, asked if there were any geocaches nearby. Looking at c:geo, I confirmed there were and the one at the nearby trig was the closest. We told the rest of our group what we were up to and a couple of others asked to tag along to see what all the fuss was about. That turned out to be a bit of a mission, so when I mentioned I was heading off in the other direction, only one of the muggles was keen enough to tag along.
This one was a tricky little hide which left my muggle friend who was brimming with confidence after finding the previous cache a little perplexed. I spotted something that 4500 geocache finds told me should be investigated further and after finding the cache, replaced it to see if she could find it. In the end I had to show her. She was impressed with the simplicity of the hide and the challenge it presented.

Wow! That's such a cool little hide and so we'll camouflaged!
Log books were full so I added a slip of paper, it's not waterproof though so I'm not sure how long it will last
Windy day but worth it for that cool cache!

An awesome little cache found while put on a sunny days walk with the fur monsters. Gets a FP from us. Thanks for the cache
Neat cache. I've seen ones like this before but still love finding them. FP from me today. Thanks for placing this here.
Really Neat Cache. was on the way to Wellington. Went of track to walk along the beach and soak in the surroundings. Thanks for bringing me here and thank you for the cache. forgot to log till now.
Enjoyed this area a first time for me I must come back when I some time and carry out a more through investigation of the tracks a big thanks for bringing me to this great area
We just meandered around this area discovering new places as we went. After chatting to the Morris Car Enthusiasts we drove up here. Great camo, but had to wait for a stream of cyclists to pass before entering in. Thanks for the placement bkj97
A beautiful view from the nearby vantage point.Took a short time to find but love the camouflage job.Wrote the log and re-concealed carefully.Gets a fave from me!TFTC!
Lost half a litre of blood to the sandflies while trying to find this cache, but once find it, it was well worth it. Just needed to remind myself not to over think it
Didn’t have any favourites to give when we found this. We do now, so we have.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Took me a while to find this one because I did not want to give up. I was very happy when I found it in the end TFTC!
SoBad, Mrs SoBad and her sister went to a family grave and then on to the Park. Just time for one cache after we checked out the area again. Nicely done but still a quick find.
Thanks.
Thanks.
