Had a look but couldn't see it anywhere Sad

Even for all the other DNF I thought I would still have a go, although after an hour of looking there was no sign of the cache. Owner needs to check on this cache and do whats required if it is not there. Thanks again, will have to go back when it is confirmed.

I was suprised at the size of this one. When I arrived at the GZ I thought it would have been smaller with the places available to hide it but after a little searching soon had the cache in hand.

On the 29th of September by a local resident who came upon the cache out in the open, gathered up the contents including the log and kindly contacted me as my email address is included on my sticker, as I had done this back in June. I unsuccessfully tried to contact the CO to pass on details of where to collect the cache. The local resident again contacted me to remind that it was still in his letterbox waiting for collection. Today I was back up in Newcastle so I picked up the cache and replaced it back to its rightful position. I will take any excuse to admire beautiful Lake Macquarie. So go get it!! No luck on this one. I suspect others have looked but not logged as it is in a great location and not foiund since early August. Thanks anyway

Some caches are too easy to find, some are impossible but this one was just right.
No GPS needed to find it and was found within 5 minutes of looking.

Great cache and breathtaking view. Big Grin

A family was using the playground, but a long way from the site. It took a while to find the cache although GZ was quite definite. Hunted for some time in the wrong places and then decided to look where the GPS said it was. The well hidden cache was there of course. TN but left a coin to thank lyrebirds for the hide.

Found it! Geodog thought this place was wonderful with the wide open space to just run. This would be a great spot for a picnic and a warmer sunnier day.
Thanks for a great cache.

Need to time this one carefully as some divers who are working in the bay set up a sunshelter almost over the cache from around 7.30 - 4.00 each week day. made it all the more satisfying to find it without eiher them or any fisherpeople around

We found this one pretty quickly. With nearby boad-muggles, we were subtle and managed to sign and return the cache without being noticed. TFTC.

Found it! Big Grin I enjoyed the search for this one. After giving the pushbike a good workout to get here I settled in for a good look and a spot of muggle dodging. Nearly gave up because the hiding spot is so well consealed. It always feels so good to put your hand on the find after almost giving up. Took a phone sock and left a padlock. SL TFTC.

There were quite a number of muggles out on the point fishing - but we were quite lucky that they were very distracted by their fishing and not interested in us at all. Thanks to the previous logs, we had the additional clue about the ants nest which helped us in our search. We had to do a bit of poking, and kicking and shaking to rid the ants off the cache but amazingly there were not ants inside [just a huge amount of angry ants outside it! TNLNSL TFTC

We had no luck on this one. After reading the previous log that wasn't in the GPS it may still be there but at the time, I didn't want to upset the ants.

Molly and Simba had a ball swimming off the point though!

This was the Pie 4 Pi Event day we were heading to. Spikeymikey so generously and thoughtfully picked up myself and minichef for a day of caching and pie for which we both are indebted forever. It was a great day, with some good caches, a top event and a fun day out with a mate.

Bugger me wasn't this one booby trapped. Having crutches is sometimes handy in that you can use them as great pokers. So I found this cache easily enough, then gave those magic orders "in you go son, grab the cache". Dead set wasn't that a mistake, the moment minichef had it in his hands, literally thousands of ants spewed out the hole like some kind of explosion of nature. You have never seen spikeymikey run so fast...The bag around the cache was torn to shreds and we did not have one big enough to replace. Putting the cache back was difficult but done so as good as it was when we got there. I would suggest this get removed to a better spot though.

Looked for this one on the way home from the HAVOC event.
We found an indent in the soil which was the perfect size for a cache - so we feel this may be gone.

Nice quick find a Ditto about the ants. They were not happy that we destroyed their nest when we pulled out the Cache and it was totally covered with eggs. It took a while to shake of the little buggers before we could sign the log and replace it. On the way back to the Geomobile the boy and decided in the 1,100 plus Caches we had found that one was by far the most ant infected Cache of them all, so in that respect it’s a must do.

Nice spot as well and thanks for sharing it with us.

Nice hide but the ants are a shit. Rain has stopped for a while and the lake looks great.

Great spot. Never been here before! The ants certainly like the same spot as the cache and have made a nice home for themselves. Easy find. TFTC.

We had to play dodge the muggles with this one but it was a great spot to spend a little time. The last muggles were on a massive boat that sailed past 10 meters from the point they managed to sneak up on us too, funny how you focus your attention looking in a particular direction. Great spot TFTC lyrebirds. [175]

A group of muggles had a quite party further in on the peninsula, but they were not interested in what we were doing.
Took a fridge magnet, left a mobile phone sock.

I imagine this cache would not be easy during the day due to muggle activity - very easy (and peaceful) at 3.40am though !!!

Thanks lyrebirds Smile

Found this one whilst out collecting our 200th find.

This is a great spot. I have spent countless hours on this marina and have always loved this spot.

A great place for a cache and a clever hide. Not sure how it will go during a flood.

Thanks for another great location lyrebirds.
