Cache found and signed quickly. Would be a hard cache to retrieve if there were lots of tourist's about. (weekend or holiday)Outer container lid is broken. Inner container is intact but log and contents a little damp. Now onto the redwoods what an amazing place, has a very different feel about it when you are among the trees. Strangely quiet and peaceful. Not sure what the "nests" are about or who made/makes them.
We spent last night at a motel in Lilydale and facebook showed us the forest as a suggested place to visit. With our important stuff finished early enough we decided a visit was due. How cool is it here!! We had a good walk around and took some photos before quickly locating the cache. We waited a little for the countless muggles to clear. Signed the log then had to wait some more before returning it.TFTC.
Thanks for my 75th cache! A quick find and interesting one, what took the longest was probably waiting for muggles to stop taking interest. I did, when about to find it, do [something] to [something] which did [something] that made the cache visible. I found it interesting- there aren't a lot of large caches at my home ground. A great find - Thanks for the cache!
Went for a day trip to Warburton with the family. First time visiting the redwood plantation, and it was certainly busy here. By chance, we managed to find a parking spot almost next to the cache. The outer container lid has some holes in it, but overall, in good condition.
Thanks, after seeing the cache at the rainforest sky walk we werent sure what the redwood forest would have for us. Nice easy find thanks
Came back again to make sure we found it before leaving town and had better luck. Great spot - Thanks
Couldn't get my phone to load the description or gps here. I'll have to save the information offline and come back another day. Went for a walk through the Redwood forest though, it's so beautiful.
Out rambling with a muggle friend that I was hoping to initiate into the joys of caching, we'd had a find, The spark was there, another success and the fun of avoiding the gazes of several nearby muggles
Enjoying a weekend geocaching with muggle sister after dropping muggle daughter off at diabetes camp in Warburton. Headed out to the Redwood plantation to find our first cache of the day. I tried to come out this time last year but the road was closed. Poor reception, so I had trouble pinpointing the cache location, but the hint was helpful. Cache and logbook in good order. Thanks for bringing us to this stunning location.
Visiting the forest late in the evening, it so happened that I parked right next to GZ. Enjoyed the walk with no muggles at this hour.
Cute cache. I love the forest. Going to on my happy list place list. There was a slug in there. I relocated it. I hope it doesnt hate me for that. TFTC
Found and logged with the permission from Rebel Acts (I sent pics of the cache) because despite finding the cache, I was unable to sign the log book without getting observed as there was literally hundreds of people around! Cars parked up and down the road outside of the carpark, traffic at a standstill with with people wanting to find a parking spot... Australia Day Public Holiday is NOT the time to go here! It is a very special place, but I think next time I visit it will be 7am on a weekday that's not a public holiday!
the original camo needs series work so I have brought it home, the cache container its self was ok and have used a locally sourced object for the camo.
Thanks for a great cache Rebel Acts. Had to wait awhile to get our hands on it due to being busy with muggle at times. Great location, great cache. Please see a separate email sent to you.
I know I have been here and signed this before so was surprised to see it was not a smilie so a quick resign on the way back to the car. Thanks Rebel Acts for the cache.Found at 5:03pm on 6/1/2024. Find # 2737
Obvious, no not of interest to anyone, just us as we stood on guard while the admin duties were attended to
In the area hunting a FTF in the Redwood Forest and thought I should collect this one first while I had the entire place to myself before 8 am on this lovely early Christmas Eve morning. Got to GZ, and saw something that caught my eye. Turned out to be this well designed geocache that would have been great when first installed. Showing its age a bit now. Thanks for the cache Rebel ActsHunter
Found @13:35Happy to see the forest re-opened and happy to find this cache quick and without being spotted.Merry Christmas! TFTC!
Convinced Mr. 12.to come exploring with me. What a great location. Tftc. I'm good condition.
Darn, as a Californian from redwood country, I really wanted to see this. But the bridge is closed to cars and a bad hip makes for too long a walk. Maybe next time we are here
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Rebel Acts for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

With the road access to the Redwood Forest closed due to bridge works, I decided to head there on the MTB by alternative route and enjoy some tranquility without the usual hordes. With a couple of finds on the way, this one was my target here.
A very clever camouflage job indeed to conceal a container of that size.
All in good dry condition.
TFTC Rebel Acts and the chance to revisit a lovely location and have it all to myself

This is quite an amazing spot - thinking of putting a few photos on Instagram as I suspect no one has ever done that before. The cache also very impressive. tftc
Great cache and fantastic location, loved them both.
Thanks Rebel Acts for the cache
Thanks Rebel Acts for the cache
After exploring the Redwood Forest, we checked to see if there were any caches nearby. We spotted this one on the map very close to where we parked so off we went. Upon arrival, there was one thing that stood out to Geo-Son. After further inspection, the cache was in hand! We loved this hide and it’s discreteness to hide from all the muggles! Tftc Rebel Acts
Sadly our short road trip holiday is nearly over and we are nearly home.
We decided to camp overnight and wait until this morning to explore the Redwood Forest as it would have been packed over the Father’s Day weekend. I have wanted to come here for a long time and to have such a quality cache here was a bonus.
Locals (at the caravan park and tourist info place) warned us that bridge works will prevent access sometime this month. A shame that it is necessary to build a bigger car park and upgrade the bridge, so I’m glad we came when we did.
Thanks Rebel Acts, we really enjoyed finding your cache this morning and give a favourite point.

Such a busy day here today. Went for a short walk through the trees first. Amazing! Headed back to car thinking there’s too many people here to find this cache when suddenly Geoson posted I mean pointed it out. TFTC
What a magical place. This was our first visit but we will definitely be back. Very hard to drag the kids away! Loved this cache - very clever design. A fav point from us.
Beautiful place for the whole family. My kids found this one, was in a very cool hiding spot. Not overly easy for them to find which made the reward even sweeter! TFTC!
A visit to the plantation today, amazing spot! Kids loved finding this one, fantastic construction and execution, fave from us!
what an awesome cache design, this was so exciting to find! jay cat got this one, lots of cool swaps too thank you for the cache
Our trip out to Warburton largely centred around a desire to see these trees, and it seems the entirety of Victoria had much the same idea!
Ok, perhaps not the *entirety* but parking spots were certainly scarce.
Luckily we managed to snag one and took some time to wander among the redwoods.
We'd been to Muir Woods in California a few years ago and this plantation's prominent grid formation was very different indeed.
As for the cache, I took a brief look as we arrived but a few muggles standing nearby scared me off.
A little later, however, the coast was clearer but the GPS signal was not.
Luckily I had a fair idea of what I might be looking for and was pleased to find it shortly after I expanded my search radius.
An excellent hide, but we really should've parked closer!
It seemed being spotted by muggles was going to be a near-certainty, it was just a case of whether or not they'd ask questions!
I figured I was better off getting the signing duties done quickly, so the logbook was retrieved, scribbled in and replaced without any queries from the public.
The outer container is a bit damp, but the further in you go the drier it gets, so no concerns for the main contents!
Thanks to Rebel Acts for this wonderful placement in a beautiful (albeit now much busier) location!

A sunny Sunday afternoon...there are a *lot* of people here. Geokid 2 claimed this one, hopefully not too obviously.
Beautiful spot. Went for the walk around the circuit track with the kids and wandered through the woods. Plenty of muggles around, it's like Bourke St down here today!! Enjoy the scenery.
Dropped in after taking the kids to Mt Donna Buang. Great hiding spot! The youngest daughter loved it. Dodged the rain for a walk around the plantation, which seems to be the place to go now. I thought I knew a lot of the places up this way but this has become a thing just in the last few years, despite obviously being here for the best part of a century! Thanks for the cache RebelActs.
TFTC! Spent some of the morning exploring the lovely forest here and walked down to and along the river. Found the cache quickly thanks to the hint and managed to sign the log with no muggles in sight!
Thanks rebel act. found the cache in good condition, ingenious hide. Itwas coming apart so I applied a few screws I had in the back of the car, not perfect but better then it was. I found the plantation totally deserted which is pretty good for a Saturday morning on queen's birthday weekend. regards from Victor
Up here with my class and managed to sneak off to find this clever hide. Lovely spot. TFTC
With Help from mykaat the cache has had a full restoration and is ready to be found.
Needs attention, full of mould. Redwood forest is awesome, location of geocach not so good.
Late log but found on 16/4 with turtliesuperman lovely day and awesome cache thanks
Road trip here today with my friend. What a beautiful wonder of the world. Absolutely stunning!!!! And a cache here just topped it off tftc

Found with riotgirlckb while exploring the beautiful redwoods nice little find got there right before another couple of geocachers got there
Not too busy today at the forest. Scattered children appearing and disappearing amongst the trunks and a film shoot going on at one end. Interesting nests and incredible atmosphere.
Cache was found quickly, nicely off to one side. It’s inner sanctum was a bit wet and the outermost hide seemed precariously balanced, but all good for a find.
TFTC Rebel Acts and thanks for bringing us here today

Team Spider are in the area for our first family holiday since Easter 2019 and this forest was on our to-do list. A conveniently located cache sealed the deal. It was a quick find but long wait to retrieve as the muggles were plentiful. The forest was spectacular as expected. Tftc!
An absolutely stunning day for heading out for a drive in the country and picking up a few caches on the way.
This cache has been on my bucket list of caches to do and the forest was beautiful in spite of the muggle hoards that had chosen today to have a picnic here.
Managed to get the cache using a bit of stealth, ok, apart from the ranger type guy that busted us in the process of getting the cache, and signed the log book that wasn't as badly damaged as the original book. Both books are in a sorry state however and even though the books were in a bag, in a small container, that was in a larger container, inside a sleeved hiding container, you can still actually write on them.
Had a wonderful time walking around the forest and climbing into the various nests we found.

Yesterday was spent bicycle riding from Lilydale to Warburton with geohusband, sisters, brother & brother in law.
Today we came to the Redwood Forest. Lucky we arrived early as it gets soooo busy.
Found the cache easily and retrieved it unnoticed. But it was smelly and the log is very damp and needs replacing.
Thank you for bringing us here and TFTC

Well it had to happen sooner or later: finding a cache in Warburton.
Warburton EAST no less!
For most of my life my parents had a holiday house (more like an off-the-grid shack in the bush) about 3 minutes away from here. They took us all over the place exploring, and when I got my license, I went exploring myself. But for whatever reason I didn't know this place existed, and if my parents did, they never brought me here. I found out about the forest a few years ago through a picture on a geocaching Facebook page and decided I really must visit next time I'm driving past.
Fast forward a few years, I meet Dee, start geocaching, and our adventures never quite made it this far out of town. The bush shack was sold and there was no reason to ever drive out here.
But today was the day to break the Warby geocaching drought! We had to head up to Alexandra to decommission a cache and I decided to drive the long way home through Reefton spur. We stopped by the Redwood Forest and really enjoyed the area. Cache was easily spotted and despite a soggy logbook it still took my pen.
Lots of people out here , and thanks to the geometry of the forest you don't feel like it's crowded.
Thanks Rebel Acts for a classic geocaching adventure: bringing me somewhere amazing that I may never have found myself.

#1913 - 8.15pm
Today was AWESOME!!
Heymissjo and I had a massive day of 4WD tuition just out of East Warburton. Steve, our instructor was incredible - 12 hours straight; so much information and practical training, and it just seemed to fly by.
By the time we finished up at 8pm, the day had already plunged into deep, dark twilight. So there we were, out past Warburton with nothing to do but go home - but we weren't ready to go home just yet...
So naturally, it was time for a cache!!
There wasn't any phone signal where we were, but fortunately I have all the caches in Victoria saved offline in my phone. UNfortunately, I haven't updated them for a number of years, while I've been on a kind of geo-sabbatical. So, I just picked one on the map that was on our general route back, and not far from our current location.
The dirt sprayed off our tyres as we turned back on to the highway. It was strange seeing traffic again after a day up in the hills. The car headlights lit up a narrow bridge I remember investigating a few years back, and then suddenly it struck us - we were at the Redwood Forest!!
It certainly wasn't our plan to be here tonight. HMJ had grabbed a few caches at the back of this reserve quite some time ago, but I had never been here before. It just never seemed to happen - especially with lockdown over the last year.
The other challenge these days is that it's become ridiculously popular, and I'm not a big one for crowds.
When we drove out along the highway to the course this morning, we had noticed that the long weekend had brought such a flood of tourists to the redwoods that cars were parked all the way out to the highway!!
But tonight, there was only one other car in the carpark, and they left within 5 minutes of our arrival.
Perfect!
So here we were, all alone at the Redwood Forest - just Heymissjo and I.
It was so cool!!
But before we could go explore, we needed to get the cache. I checked my phone...
No signal!
And the cache details were last refreshed in 2019!!
Oh that's just great... The container could be changed, relocated or even archived and I wouldn't know!
But I'm always geo-curious, and we were here anyway...
So we began the search.
But for what?
And where?
It wasn't long before the torchlight revealed an inadvertent telltale sign and the clever hide was revealed. It was cool seeing the logbooks within the cache going all the way back to its publication, but the ravages of time are inexorably winning the battle here. Not surprising really, given how many finds it's had and that geocachers need to exercise a modicum of care when replacing the container. And as we all know, not everyone does. Still it's a great cache hide set in an amazing location and is well worth the visit.
I made sure to replace the cache with the required care to ensure the camo will prove a little more effective than when I spied it tonight.
And so, with the honours done, it was time for Heymissjo and I to go exploring the Dragon Nests in the forest - we still couldn't believe we had the whole place to ourselves!!
Thanks so much, Rebel Acts, we really enjoyed our exclusive visit here tonight. The Redwoods were something I've wanted to see for years, but we never would have had our accidental adventure if it wasn't for your excellent cache.
Cheers

It’s so unusual to see this beautiful forest completely deserted, particularly on a long weekend. The Welder and I had not originally planned to stop here for a cache, but rather spend the day playing in the hills. You see, today we both spent the best part of twelve hours attending a 4wd training course building up our skills to be able to tackle more D5 style caches and explore this beautiful country of ours.
The day was incredible; so much learning, so much fun in our geo-mobile. Of course, to celebrate a great day, we both had to stop and get a cache to commemorate the day. I love this part of the world and have been to this forest many times, but in recent years avoided it due to the crowds that are now drawn here. But, it’s the first time for the Welder and we have the place to ourselves.
Like all good geocachers, despite spending a day 4wding, we had our geopacks and torches packed ‘just in case’ so we could easily explore under torch light. A neat hide, great camo, but log book a little damp, despite double bagging. Sorry we didn’t have a dry one with us, but nice to see it’s the original log book with so many familiar names in it. Thanks for the placement of this cache Rebel Acts.

Lot of people around but once i spotted it I called my girlfriend over and she was like yeah that’s definitely it. We walked over, checked and I carefully and quickly retrieved the cache and took the travel bug!! Thanks for this cache at this beautiful location, my first time here )) favourite point for the creative and plain sight hide
We were stumped for a while and started to not believe the gps, but here we are posting a TFTC! Very clever!
