Logs
After having breakfast and doing some cache maintenance in Cambridge we enjoyed the drive through French Pass to Whitehalll, a place we have never visited before. It was very quiet at the settlers hall and we took some time to look around before searching for the cache. After reading the recent logs and seeing it had been a while since this was found we weren't sure if we would have success today but after checking a few potential hiding places we were pleased to locate the container. Despite not having been found for a while the cache is in great condition with some good swag. It always nice to find older caches like this especially if they bring us to nice spots we haven't visited before. Thanks thequiltys for bringing us here.
It is reqly cool it is under a hard place to find and has a lot of other places to be hidden.
Well I walked around and around and around, sent the kid to look where I thought it might be, but nope she couldn't see it, so walked around and around again, a I'm sure it must nmbe there, ok I will get wet and have a look, and there it was! She must have close her eyes when she looked
Beautiful day out rural waikato today? Easy find. Some kids treasure in the cache. Log book was damp and in a ripped bag. Had replacements in my car so put the log in a new bag. Great little spot with a little kids playground and a swing. Sadly the school across the road looks abandoned. TFTC!
Out for a drive with an elderly relative on a lovely sunny day, she was excited to be part of the fun, nice quick find. Tftc
Found with trayc.g on day 6 of our family holiday. Today is the day we head to The Shires Rest for a tour of Hobbiton. Can’t wait!

Last one of the day for us after a big day driving to and from Hamilton to Matatmata & Hobbiton. 21 caches and a couple of DNF’s which didn’t damper the spirits at all. All in all a great day. Didn’t have to convince Mr Muggle that hard to detour a few km’s off track to this one. Got to GZ and did a circuit before finding the right hint item. A cute cat came that was friendly with the kids.. Cache all safe and dry TFTC
Found with sneakykiwi. Cache a little damp. Note book could be given some TLC

Found with DopeyKiwi on a meander back home base for a few days … route choice all his choosing Cache is a little damp but log still writable. Lovely little spot for just sitting and listening to nature … kotare (kingfisher), pīpīwharauroa (shining cuckoo), tui, paharini (chaffinch), and other finches and larks. And a peacock just as I was about to click post.

Though it hadn't been found for a while, we soon located it and signed.
Nice to come into this part behind Cambridge.

We’ve been staying in French Pass road for a few days. I thought I should do the loop to find this one and the TB stump cache before we head south tomorrow. A quick park and grab in nowhere’s Ville.

Nice drive through the country on a sunny morning. Quick park and grab. Thank you for brinigng us out this way for the first time.
We found the Geocache
That was a tricky one to find. It was a lovely drive to Whitehall. I used to live here until April 2000. Thank you very much for the hint we were trying to look for.

Never been out this way before. Drove past knew there had to be a cache here. Sure enough. Enjoyed our Sunday drive. Tftc
Nice and easy to find never knew this place ever existed very nice cache thanks.
Took a little bit of time to do a bit glad we kept hunting! Kids played on the awesome playground for a bit too neat little place in the countryside!!
Took some searching but so worth visiting. The children had a wonderful time on the playground too
21/01/19 19:00 No excuse as it was fine & sunny & I wasn’t on a timer, rushing between places... Great - & fun - drive up the valley (Karapiro Rd). As others have noticed, the school is long gone... Or maybe it’s just out for summer... spotted a kids playground beside the hall... Great to see local places being recorded, makes caching worthwhile. Took the alternate route to Tirau, skipped a stretch of SH1, yay! Also a fun drive through nice rolling valleys. Thanks, Cheers, GC.
Very easy find as it was on the seat at the door. Poked it back where i thought it should go. Left 2 path tags. Happy to cross this one off the list.
Thanks for placing.
Thanks for placing.
Very happy to find this one on our second attempt! We were definitely overthinking it last time. Back in town to visit friends, so we decided to give it another crack. First cache for 2019! TFTC
Had a bit of a quick stop to see if we could find this gem of a cache but alas we could not find (even after using the hint). Time was against us so will try again when we are up again.
Nice drive up here. Checked out the site across the road but the playground was empty.
Once the GPS had settled down and pointed me in the right direction the cache was soon in hand, log signed and replaced as found

Overcomplicated the find and got soaked from the wet bushes but, as soon as I actually trusted the GPS, I quickly had the cache in hand. A pleasant drive out here. TFTC.
A neat little community found amongst the back roads while on our way home from Hamilton. Cache found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward hint. The kids had a bit of a play then we were off again. Cheers thequiltys, TFTC
thanks for the nice wee hide and brought me bck to the hobbit town again loved it tftc found with abcdf4
Nice wet day what better to do,find a cache or two...years since I have been to this area,a good reminder of how good it is...thanks thequiltys for the nice placement???????
Taking the back roads today, and so glad to get here. Never ventured this way before. What a lovely rural community hub. Cache nice and snug and dry on this drizzly day. Thanks for the placement thequilties.
Nice coming back to a place with old memories. Salhud jnr+ made a swap and left some colour. Thank for great cache
Well another glorious day to go geocaching with Nahkins. Had 5 lined up and 1 maybe if we had time. #1. This is another easy find. I was a bit worried that it may not have been there but checking the website the day before confirmed it was found recently. TFTC. Love my smiley faces. The hall looks well looked after.
Out geocaching with NZPatoto. I was driving and we had five on the list and one if we had time. #1 – Found by NZPatoto. Probably had it found before I was out of the car, so I sat on the bench and enjoyed the sun. 3 cyclist went past and knowing where we were heading up into the hills – they must be really fit. Anyway another smile. TFTC
Doing a bit of a tiki tour around these roads so was great to come and get this one. Lovely hall which is well kept. TFTC
On our way to Mt Maunganui via the back country roads that we have never driven before. Once at GZ it was a nice quick find. A very peaceful spot here today, TFTC!
2567 Did a drive in the country as I had been sitting by one near the airport that had been invaded by Muggles. Had to drive past 2 police cars who were attending a car down a bank about 3km from the hall. Walked round the hall and back again before I found the right spot. Cache soon in hand. Then back through accident to the main road.
What a shame. Lovely fretwork on hall and it looks as though school has been sold.
Day 2 of our road trip over the long weekend to pick up some lonely caches to finally finish our GIO licence.
Another extremely quick find.

I chose this cache as it helped me find a route from where I was (in the middle of nowhere) to a main road. What a lovely little spot this is. Cacne found quickly, didn't see a soul. Thanks!
No Gap today (Auckland)... How will we manage? I have my nephews (10 and 6) along for company. It's going to be a 'stay close to the car' day, especially with the weather being so changeable...
This is one of those caches that we always overlook because it seems to be a long way off the beaten path. We were driving through the hills and happened to come to the lower intersection to Whitehall... No excuses now. We arrived at ground zone soon enough. One nephew found a measuring tape, the other found the cache... Both winners. TFTC and the pleasant drive in the country.

Easy find when technology is working! Mr 2 enjoyed exploring the playground. Thanks for placing the cache in this area.
A quick find on our drive from Tauranga to Hamilton, collecting caches to help meet the requirements for our geo-licence series. Thanks for the cache.
TFTC one of the local farmers had lose cows on the road so advised before they got a quicker trip to McDonald's than usual. Haven't had to get the cows in since I was 13ish
Out this way looking at houses, a quick find so I don't keep the real estate agent waiting. Dropped a TB
This is my very first ever find so was quite excited/relieved. I have looked for a few today but this was my only success. TFTC
Out getting some fresh air with Bloos Boy, who had to make a quick dash for the cache while the neighbour feed the fire metres away.
Felt a little conspicuous in this quiet settlement, especially as we thought it was in another part of the property at first, but quickly located it. Well worth a drive out here, through that wonderful scenery.
Nice drive and scenery. An area I would never have visited. Thanks for bringing me this way.
Walked the long way around trying to get a lock on the GPS, a muggle was in the paddock adjacent, so had to time my grab.
With the sun shining and a few other caches in Cambridge to pick up this was a good excuse to get out of the house and enjoy a short walk.
A quick drive to Cambridge and collected the cache around the town. Headed to this one to finally pick it up. Was a quick walk and quicker find.

Out on a cache maintenance run to Hobbiton & decided to stop by here on the way home. Sent the young cacher in for a quick find while I kept an eye out for muggles; nice to finally sign this one off! Thanks for replacing & TFTC
was out there today and looked all around. think this one has gone and needs to be checked
Our 2nd look in the last month but too sneaky for us. Lovely drive here even without a find.
Didn't realise this was going to take us quite so far off the beaten track, but enjoyed exploring the back roads. Quick find in between a neighbour ferrying green waste across the school field. SL. TFTC.
An interesting day - travelling the back roads - never been out here before - looks like a lovely area with nice school and hall - Luckily the road finally spat me out onto my road to home - TFTC
Quick and easy find, while escaping the pre Christmas maintenance chires around the house, TFTC
Straight out of Hamlet. Met...well not exactly gravediggers...more septic tank diggers. Highly entertained while searching for cache. But not difficult to find TFTC.
Needed a cache today and was stoked to find this one 6m from my tent. Excellent. TFTC
