Husband asked me in Campbell Town if I had any stops to make on the way to Evandale. I mentioned there was a puzzle that I hadnt solved so cracked on with it and then I had a stop to make . Motor cycle racing on here today must have been perilous as we had wind gusts up to 80kms and I was almost blown off the road. I had to expand my search here and then the shattered cache was found in the obvious spot. TFTC and interesting puzzle
Nothing like Motorsport and it's attractions. My home city of Adelaide has the Adelaide-500 Race which i have visited frequently in past years up to 2020. The F-18 Hornet Fighter Jet is an awesome-fun reason to turn up well before the race. I always parked myself on Turn or Corner 8 Arrived at GZ to make a swift find at 11:45 on my way home to Hobart on Thursday 9 May 2024.The cache container is munted and the bag is in tatters but the log book was dry so i replaced the log bag with a new one and added moisture munchers in it to keep the log book dry.I didn't have a container so i gently replaced the cache in it's dry hidey spot where it should be ok, still.TFTC and the Puzzle, Guripper and DGT
Arrived today this morning from Victoria on Spirit of Tasmania, nice quick find on our way to Hobart, I too expanded my search. TFTC
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Having this in the solved pile, I was hoping to grab a few while heading up north. Enjoyed the scenery along the way. Stopped off here and searched where I thought was GZ but expanded search and found the container across the otherside of driveway. Will have to relook at my calculations. Thanks Guripper and DGT for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
solved this a while back and today had the chance to grab. unfortunately despite a good search we didn't come up with the prize. a lot of rubbish around which didn't make for fun or safe searching. maybe next time...
Solved the puzzle as was going to be driving past today. Stopped at where the coordinates were, and searched but could not spot it. Found a likely area but no sign of the cache. However, over the other side was an area that often known to house caches (to the semi-experienced geocacher). We looked in there and wala, there was a cache. The container was in tatters but still holding a log book. Opened it up and the first log was from 2009, but the last log was DEC 2015! Where are the other signed logs? Was this an old cache? Looked up membsec and they signed in 2012 which was in the logbook. Maybe this was the original cache? Anyway, we'll claim the find. TFTC
Solved this cache whilst working at the Supercars a few weeks ago. There was no way I was going to be able to find it then! Today we were passing by and made a quick find. TFTC!

I solved this with my muggle friend earlier in the month so it was only right that the two of us head out and find it together. I decided today would be a good day for the find before the V8 Super Cars race on the weekend.

Found it and dropped off my little trackable. Geo enabling husband and daughter love racing cars.
In transit to Hobart for a week. Will no doubt be tempted by geocaches everywhere. This one was solved and ready to go on such a trip, and once gps settled we were onto it. Thanks team for a good one. Two or three privateer old boy racers doing laps today in classic sports cars !
I solved the puzzle in WA in preparation for this trip but it took a team effort to retrieve it. TFTC Dirty Girl Tas and GURipper
Down in Tassie for a break before Christmas and continuing our travels around the country, wow the countryside is absolutely glorious. Happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley TFTC
Solved in Central Queensland when I knew I was coming to Tassie.
A quick find but took a bit to retrieve.

Today on the way to Avoca for work i needed to stop to stretch the legs, as there wasn't much traffic about i thought id stop and grab this one. After pulling up at GZ a quick find was made as the cache was spotted before i got to it. TFTC
Found This while travelling to meet family at Campbelltown, after solving a while back decided today id stop and grab this one. TFTC
First find for the day, heading south for an explore in the southern midlands. Hoping to hit 500 finds today (currently 465). Tftc
Today we are geocaching in the North, covering the general triangle between Scottsdale, Lilydale and Launceston and collecting as many caches along the way as practical.
This is the first cache of the day, we solved this puzzle quite a while ago and have passed. here so many times saying we need to collect this cache, but it never seemed like the right time. So this morning was perfect with very few cars on the road. TFTC

Zoom, zoom, zoom. Around and around they go. Nice when the local paint the fence and the overspray covers the cache. Extra real camo.
The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

I gathered the information to get the co-ordinates last year but today was the first opportunity to look for the cache which was found. Thank you for focusing my attention to motorsport and placing this cache.
Solved this one a while back hoping to get it on a trip north but didn’t get here. Back in the area today to make a quick find.

Suscoe had a big day out today travelling from Launceston to Bicheno via the Bay of Fires.
It was a cool day with a very strong South Easterly blowing quite strongly throughout the day.
We had quite a bit of sunshine as well.
This was a wonderful day and we enjoyed the ever changing countryside and the ocean shores.
Thanks to Dirt Girl TAs and GURipper for this cache.
All good here today.

Hello Guripper and DGT thank you for the cahce
Today EeePees and I were on our way back from Launceston after picking pick up some furniture, on the way up EeePees worked on the puzzle and managed to get some cords not long before we arrived at GZ.
The cache was easily found, lucky it wasn't race day.

Hi Guripper and DGT, many thanks for the cache, found with my great mate AlbyDangles.
Today we'd headed north under the pretence of collecting a piece of furniture; but of course we were geocaching, and may I say, a great day out with fantastic company.
I started looking at the puzzle as we left Conara, my accomplice busy driving. Even with a 'red-light' stop for roadworks, a solution was not yet available and so we continued on past 'the plains'.
Now, more than 6 hours later, we're on our return journey, with final GZ coordinates, and so (almost) a quick drive by. I've been to a few race meetings here, but mostly attended to compete in motorkhanas in the 70s.
Glad it's not race day today!
This is our last stop for the day, it's time to get home.
Thanks for the reason to stop here.
Cheers, EPs.

First full day on our Tasmanian holidays and after checking out Cataract Gorge we were back on the road. While working on our travel plans, I saw that this puzzle would be on one of our routes, so made the effort to solve this one.
While passing, with some of the family asleep, I was the only one to get out of the car and then quickly found it. Then took it to the car for everyone to see and 999meHK to sign.
Thanks for the cache Dirty Girl Tas and GU Ripper

In the last couple of days we've travelled from our native Hobart to Launceston for a bit of a Queen's Birthday long weekend getaway. Today was our last day in Launceston, before heading home in the afternoon.
Along the way, we finally found the time to track down this cache. We'd had it solved for a little while, but had forgotten to pick it up last time we were in the area, so thankfully we managed to make the detour today.
Arriving at the GZ, it was clear that a little climbing would be required, in full view of passing traffic. Eventually a lull in traffic occurred, and a quick hop enabled the cache to be retrieved.
Thanks for an interesting puzzle, and a challenging cache extraction!

Thank you Guripper and DGT for this puzzle cache. Had the answers solved fairly quickly and I headed off to GZ where I found a cache hidden in plain sight and left a very appropriate TB. All good with the hide and thanks for highlighting this sport which I used to love as a teenager but haven't really had much to do with lately. Although the father in law is an avid watcher.
Tassie Trip Day 177 - We had to do a little bit of a drive today to collect some information that we missed for a multi and along the way we made a few detours and collected a few caches.
This was a solved cache and after making a drive by on our way to the camp the other day it was an easy place to get of the road with just the Geovehicle and after a short search we soon had the madness and the Motorsport made sense.
Thanks for this place to highlight this place Dirty Girs Tas and GURipper.

Fair amount of roadworks in the area which meant nobody was driving fast today. Easy find. Thanks
I was on my way home after finding a few caches in Longford and realised I was on the road to Simmons Plains, and I knew that I had solved this puzzle some time back. I was hoping I had left a note on the cache page and sure enough there were the co-ordinates I needed. Got there and found the cache happily hiding away and in good condition. TFTC.

A weekend trip to Tassie to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Did the research for this one in preparation for the trip as we would be passing by. Attended a couple of Bathurst 1000s when Brocky was still doing laps but this is my first visit to this racetrack.

I had done my research and resolved the co-ords following a previous trip past this one. I took the opportunity to sign the log and add my calling card to the cache as we head home from another Capital City trip. Number 360 for me. TFTC Dirty Girl Tas and GURipper. All in good condition.
Thanks for the cache Dirty Girl Tas and GURipper. Found with RLD4963 on our way to Launceston. This was a quick stop with RLD4963 making the find. Cheers.
after solving puzzle last year, this drive to Launceston was the time to collect this find, so on route to launy a short stop was required to get a smiley for this racetrack, log dry TFTC TNLN good fun with a good friend Tracey!
A puzzle I could do and enjoy. I have seen a few events over time here. Thanks
No way that either of us could pass by here without a quick look. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Disembarked from the Spirit of Tasmania this morning and caching our way to Swansea. Before we left Melbourne My geo husband said he wanted to visit Symmons Plain race track. Oh, I said, there’s a mystery cache there. Just have to answer some racing questions. Never before has my geo husband been quick to answer the questions required. Such a petrol head. He answered the questions, I worked out the coordinates and we both hunted for the cache. But not before visiting the track. TFTC
Easy puzzle although I got stuck on one question but didn’t take long to work it out with a bit of logic! Cache is in good condition

Not one for getting excited by fast cars and throbbing engines. With little to nil interest in the sport, did some googling a month back to put another little yellow dot on my map.. An easy find.. thanks..!!
The subject has been a long-term interest so not much trouble getting the numbers and not much trouble getting what turned out to be our last find down here. Thanks Guripper and DGT.

Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Now staying in Campania, we had planned a trip up to Launceston to say cheerio to Choppersrule and Justafan at their farewell event today.
A long day but we managed to find a few caches on the way up and back. [^]
Another on the way home. Puzzle didnt take too long to solver but we had to make sure we stopped on the way past. This is the 4th time we have been coming past but this afternoon we made sure to stop.

A 10 day trip to Tasmania with a lot more caching then initially expected, but I enjoyed every minute of it! This was one of the many caches I found and enjoyed. Can't wait to get back here and do it all over again, there are so many great places in Tasmania.

Hey we did need to go in the fence line! The cache is in fine shape no need to replace. No tracker enjoyed the puzzle! TFTC!
Hi Guys, I have seen a few comments re the condition of the container. If possible could the next finder pretty please replace? We will be able to replace in december but that is a while away. Thank you
Tftc solved this one a few months ago but never had the chance to get out here.
Poor muggle mum...another cache. My solved co-ods were a bit off but used geosenses. Container falling apart rapidly. Luckily I had a ziplock bag in my pocket to protect it. No TBs seen. TFTC

We certainly could not be described and revheads but aus does enjoy researching trivia, so thank you for the puzzle. Travelling north with deercheetah we stopped in at this most appropriate site for a quick and easy find. Thank you for the cache.
The cheetah and I were just passengers for this one. Teamed up with ausandaus2 for a days caching. Aus did the quizz the night before and quick find for aus2. Appropriate location to have the cache hidden.TFTC
I'd solved this one in preparation for this trip down here and with it so close to our route to Hobart, we stopped by for a look. A nice quick find at 10:55 but it took me a fair while to recover from the hunstman crawling up my arm! Yep, it's still well and truly there.
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Dirty Girl Tas and GURipper.
PS: The container is badly cracked (thus making a nice home for the aforementioned huntsman) but the logbook is nice and dry at least.
PPS: There was no sign of the MISSING Nord-Grrr Camel geocoin in the cache.

We solved this puzzle before coming up to Launceston for 2 days. We found the cache very quickly but didn't sign the log because the was a huge Huntsman Spider in the cache. The container was also broken. This one could do with a bit maintenance. TFTC.
TFTC driven past many times.

Homework before come to Tasmania... On the way to Hobart, Signed the log. Thanks Guripper and DGT.
This has been a l-o-n-g time coming. It was one of the first puzzles I solved so that would be at least 18 months ago. The coords then sat in GPSr calling "come & get me" in a very weak voice every time of the dozens we have passed since. But today I needed a puzzle find to help in qualifying for a challenge cache on the mainland that we're aiming to try shortly so nothing, not even first day of spring constant drizzle, could stop me. An easy find thankfully, though I still had to do the usual "I'm talking on the phone" play acting to fool the muggle cars. TFTC & the calendar tick.
The start of the drive back to the south proper starts now and Budgie and Old Saint are happy to pull over so I can grab this one. Now I have driven past this one so many times but due to there being roadworks for agesssssssss I never stopped and then every time I was going this way it was either busy or I was running late for my next job I never got chance to stop even for a quick look, but today Budgie pulled over right next to ground zero and I spotted the cache in no time soon signed and replaced and very pleased to finally put a smile just here after it has been a thorn in my side for so long.
Thanks for the cache.

After working out the answers to this one last night there was no keeping me away today as I wanted another souvenir! I must've got all the answers right as my coords were spot on. Definitely couldn't attempt this one on race day! The cache is in good dry condition and the hinges are tightly shut on one side by cobwebs and now there's a slater crawling up my leg.... As long as it's not a spider...agh TNSL TFTC and the lesson in motorsport. 1st puzzle cache #174
