Found 22/09/24. Not sure how i missed this one as i had it within 30 seconds of searching, no need for my snake poking stick, still used gloves. GPS was pretty accurate. Always great to avenge a DNF, TFTC.
DNF 12/07/24. No sign of a cache but plenty of rubbish strewn about. Site is also choked with weeds and at least one snake skin.
I enjoyed this one but damn there's been a lot of dumping at GZ. Unfortunately so much garbage it really detracts from the feel of the place and the pretty view.I was glad to find a sizeable cache that I could unload some swag into. The last few caches I've found had stuff stuffed into them and really the only way to close the containers was to take swag out and move it along somewhere else.Generic Summary of today:Did some logical loops of Goulburn before heading to challenge caches and the Towrang Stockade.Snack situation: Grabbed a Breakfast wrap from Cafe Grit and it was great! Had a hungry jacks mcflurry on the way home, it was essentially a cup filled with icecream with oreo dust overflowing. Had to stand outside of my car to eat the first half of it.Public toilets? Not today, had to do a bush wee.Munzee distractions: during breakfast near the Big Merino.Weirdos spotted: surprisingly noneAnimals spotted (alive): kangaroos, ducks, rozellas, magpies, crows, sheep, goats (both white domestic and multicoloured feral), horses, cows (all colours), and a camel!Weather: overcast, light sprinkles, pretty cool.My main aim of today was to get anything I'd solved, multis and letterboxes. Thanks to the cache owners and for the efforts they go to place and maintain these caches. TFTC!
Our holiday is almost over but not before enjoying a caching trip in Goulburn with an overnight stay in our favourite accommodation first. With plenty of presolved puzzles and letterboxes Goulburn has plenty to offer any geocacher.A bonus ca he here while seeking out a solved mystery. Took 2 swaps and added 2.Thanks NationalSteel for the placement.
Not sure about attempting the terrain in sandals. More fool me but cache found log signed and replaced. TFTC
Great views and nice to get this oldie
Love a visit to Goulburn and what better reason than the events that happen each month. So a group of us decided to head up a little bit early to pick up come caches.
Thanks for getting me out and about NationalSteel

5/6/23 - When I heard that there was a CITO on in Goulburn, I knew I could go but would my car make it? I am having car problems. However, waking up this morning, I decided before the rain coming later this week, I would go out and find some caches and attend the CITO, today. This is one of the caches I DNF or found and added to today's Geocaching adventure. I had a bad start with six caches becoming a DNF or a NA due to muggles. Once on the next second half of the day I started to actually find caches. I ended up with 23 finds for the day. Also, before you ask, yes my car did get me home. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO's of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring the Geocaching community enjoyment. TFTE & TFTC's A nice quick find here at this one.
Out for a couple of days caching with goingplaces2 around the Goulburn area. Found this cache and enjoyed the haul we achieved today. TFTC.
Picking up some caches around Goulburn while in the area for a short vsit with ilook4geo. Had no problem in finding this one and we were soon on our way to find other caches of interest. Log was signed and all was replaced. Thanks for adopting and maintaining this cache go to NationalSteel.
As it is the first day of my school holidays today, I decided what better way to celebrate then an afternoon geocaching with the kids. The geokids were quick to get on board on the proviso that we did NOT do any crazy bushwalks. We decided to head to Goulburn so we could also participate in our first CITO event.
As we came around the bend heading towards GZ, I had this moment of realisation that we were collecting these caches in the wrong direction as the parking was on the other side of the road. We still pulled in as there was little traffic out.
The geokids ran of in the direction of GZ looking in and around everything as they went. In no time they made it to GZ and my son was thrilled by the size of the container. He replayed his epic find multiple times before returning the cache with log signed back to its hiding place.

After some new caches had me lured all the way to Goulburn, I used the remaining daylight to gind a bunch of caches at the south nd of town. Feelt good to put a good chunk of these into smiles and see a few new spots. Lots more to do around town so will need to come back a few more time but made a start. This cache was one of the ones I had the oportunity to do. A nice old cache here!
Thank you big-kahuna (Adopted by NationalSteel) for the nice walk you gaveus!

Took probably a bit longer than it needed to take during my sister's and my little afternoon cache adventure. TFTC
You are free to call this cache “large”. Good spot. I’m being followed by a muggle right now who probably thinks I’m acting suspicious. TFTC
Our first full day in Goulburn, and what a great day weather wise it was.
We had a number of Adventure Labs in our sight, as we always enjoy them, and different locations put on different slants which gives us ideas for a Lab credit we have to use when we get home..
We tried to pick up any caches we went near en route which becomes complicated, juggling phones, GPSrs and ipad maps for the overview, as well as the car GPS!
We found a variety of caches and hides, generally all in good condition and saw some of the sites of Goulburn.
Our only downside was a flat tyre late in the day, but even then a lovely bloke stopped and offered to help!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache NationalSteel.

A six day road trip to the mega event in Wangaratta. The first day was a drive from Sydney to the first stop in Goulburn where I would meet up with Brewmaker the next day. Travelling along the Hume highway I stopped over at Berrima and at a few locations along the Hume highway where I could find some easy 'park and grabs'.
Quick find while driving around the city picking up some caches.
This was 29 of 129 finds. TFTC!

Although Tankengine and I knew it was meant to be a chilly day with rain and wind, we needed a cache today.
So the allure of a Christmas in July Celebration Event, 3 x new caches and the cache type we needed today was just too great to ignore.
We started with the new caches finding the trio without issues, then cached around even picking up a great AL and bonus we needed then finished off with the event which was the highlight of the day.
This cache: A nice pick up here. Tftc NationalSteel!!!

Found with MadMob. Suprised that log was dry enough to stamp it. Cache is in bad condition.
Found, container is damaged and things spread everywhere. Put things back into container, there’s a hole in the lid though. May need replacing
Easy find. Unfortunately the cache was just left out with everything sprawled all over the ground. Log book is totally ruined from the rain last night. Have put it back together and back in the dry hiding place. May need to replace the container and log book
Found this one. The first one today with stuff inside. The container is broken btw
We had a most enjoyable day of caching around Goulburn. Sunday is always a great day to do caches in a city. We also ventured out for a bush walk and found the Governors Hill series. Thanks to NationalSteel for arranging this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
The cache lid has a crack in, but fortunately the cache is hidden in a protected place. The highway was busy this evening. TFTC NationalSteel.
In G Town for this afternoon's CITO so find a few more Goulburn caches with furfaces. TFTC
We soon found this cache once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache at this viewpoint and greetings from Zimbabwe
Today Geoturtle37 and I are caching in and around the Goulburn area. We managed to get quite a few caches done and they were all interesting in their own way. Sizes locations and ease of find were varied today . Thank you to all the CO’s that made this possible. Thank you for showcasing this lovely town, it’s views, it's architecture and it's history which is certainly fascinating and worthy of the caches dedicated to it.
A nice quick find to end our time caching in Goulburn . Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Time to turn around as the road was closed ahead.
Plenty of hiding spots here but it was still easy even in the dark
Thank you for hiding this one

Views of a highway don't sound as enticing as rolling farmlands or city lights, but the view from here is actually pretty good. Made me curious just how many times over the years I might have been in one of the cars scooting along the highway below...

On a trip down to see my son, and could not resist getting a few caches.
My 400th cache.
A quick find, but was worried about the potential for snakes hiding with the cache.
