Silly me stabbed by the mother tongue because I didn’t trust the coords! Sigh. Ah well. With a throbbing finger the cache was soon found. Thanks for the cache
Found on an evening walk around Tuggeranong Pines. Spotted after a few minutes search. TFTC.
A lovely afternoon for a walk - and to collect some "Natural Wonders" souvenirs.
Pretty impressed by the native cypress tree here, quite a marvel.
Thanks for the cache!

Nice evening amble down an old dirt track and the cache was quickly revealed.

Nice walk and or 20th find. The lid is broken so we covered it as best we could from rain.
#51 We braved the cold conditions to walk around the Tuggeranong Pines and the train line - the sun came out and did not disappoint.
What an amazing (and monstrous) plant! TFTC

As previously noted, cache container is broken - lid has a large hole in it. It is upside down to keep the water out.
It's so gross! The cache was visible from the trail; not sure if that was intended.
As soon as I saw the triffid, I knew that I was at the right place. The cache was on the ground with the lid off. The log was missing but enough toys to fill the container were still in the cache. I took a sheet of paper from my notebook and replaced the log. I have rehidden the cache at the base of the tree (as per the hint) with suitable camo. TFTC
This one was easy. Because it was just on the ground I did put it in a tree though so if you go you’ll see it straight away.
For my late-afternoon constitutional I sought out several of the geocaches on and around Melrose Hill in a three hour, 10.1km walk from Henry Melville Crescent in Gilmore. I found 12 out of the 13 geocaches on my list. This cache was a straightforward find, lying in the open on the coordinates. I redid the cache, consistent with the description. Thank you BigON for installing and maintaining this cache.
Catching up on logs from our trip to Bermagui over the Xmas/NY period. 10 hour road trips with small children are challenging to even the most zen of parents. Fortunately, a cache stop here and there helps to sooth my nerves, although the same cant be said for muggle wife so a few quick caches was the extent of my foray into Canberran caches this trip. So many options around here, and a number of caches I want to return to complete! TFTC.
Back today to pick up a few I missed on Monday. This was the first of the day. Impressive plant - glad I didn't have to stick my hand in there!
Cache all good.
Thanks,
Cache all good.
Thanks,
Out with Marmaduke Rothschild and Betty Rothschild for a couple of hour's caching fix. We had an objective in mind but after failing to find it, had to be satisfied with some other nearby caches. TFTC.
Thanks for the cache! Yet another first for me. Despite 11 years in Tuggeranong I’ve never been up this way. Made a quick find while out walking the dog on a very cold afternoon. Signed Canberra 945.
#4066 1st for today
I walked down the rail trail from Hume about a month or so ago and quite enjoyed the experience. So today I headed back to do a bit more. I parked at the paintball/MTB place headed out with a modest number of caches in mind. Today was more about the experience than numbers.
First find for the day was easy. Interesting spot. I wonder why this giant succulent is here ?
Thanks to the COs: BigON

After driving around to the close entrance for these caches after grabbing some others further south, I soon reached GZ.
A quick find here and a nice large cache which is appreciated! Was impressed by the condition it was in too, holding up very well to the elements!

Ah, of course! She sure could whip up a lashing but luckily it's one impressive looking mother found here today! Interesting gz complete with its own hide out! Thanks for the cache BigON.
OMG!! That thing is huge! It looks like it could come alive and grab you! Gave me a Day of the Trifids flashback! And what a weird little grove next to it?! But makes a great cubby for the cache. Glad this is my 2000th cache. It's like organic fireworks to help me celebrate. Tftc BigOn!!!
First for the day. Wow - what a monster guarding the cache! I hope my son-in-law doesn't see me like that. Clever name.
Thanks team, great little cache to walk to after dropping one of the kids to paintball
Found this a few months ago but the log didn't work. Great walk across the highway from where I live. The dog didn't love the spikes!!
Found this one quite late, managing to keep the streak alive for another day! TFTC, BigOn
BTW - the plant is Agave americana 'varigata' commonly known as American Aloe or the Century Plant

I have a couple of hours to do a bit of solo caching and have a bit of a wander around the Pines.
I came from the Paint-ball parking area and although there were a couple of fences, no clambering or crawling was required.
Way back in the 70s, my parents found a baby one of theses in the wild and transplanted it to the front garden, thinking it was an interesting specimen. Decades later it had grown into a monster to rival this one and was a major hazard right next to the driveway. They had to pay quite a bit to have it removed, which included danger money because of the hyperdermic thorns. Thanks for the cache, BigON

A great day out to Canberra for some caching. Started with 3 degrees, freezing my *^%$ off up till the mid twenties and almost getting a sunburn. Thanks for putting out this cache!

#1289 After parking at the paint ball place, I headed to GZ. Was a quick find while looking at the rather large yellow shrub thing. Thanks BigOn.
Great spot, interesting plant specimen, reminded me of 'Day of the Triffids', so I kept an eye on it...

Thank goodness I didn't have to mess with the mother in law. Easy find. Loved the walk. J.V.
Great spot ! Love the space it's in, hidden little secret amongst some big trees. TFTC
What a monster! Came here from the highway which involved some fence hopping, and I probably should have brought my torch. TFTC!
