Logs
Found it, tipped out the water. Log book seemed dry enough and was able to sign. Thanks for the cache
Maintenance check, all good dried up some condensation and dropped in some dry wood to help minimise that. No access issues and a great sunset over the valley can be appreciated from here.
Being stuck in a restricted "region" has me retreading old haunts, and giving me a chance at a few caches I've bypassed before.
This one was a good choice for a lunchtime walk - a nice short, steep walk up to a pretty nice view.
Thanks for taking me to this place!

Lovely view seeing a pack of kangaroos sillhouetted against the skyline as I made my way to GZ.

Replaced the container, due to damage and leaks. Strange rock spiral is "growing" on the way to this gz.
Exactly where I expected it to be! Found an interesting rock arrangement on the hill on the way up too.
The container has no lid, and the zip lock bag was falling apart. Some of the log pages were on the ground. I put the log and loose pages into a new zip lock bag, but the cache needs maintenance.
I found this one by mistake, before I knew what geocaching was. Now that I know, I went up there again to log it.
This is my favourite hill yet... great views up here from a different perspective. Cute log too! Thank you.
After picking up a couple of other caches in the area I wandered over to this one. I lingered a little while at GZ to take in the view - with the light fading the lights of the suburbs were starting to come alive in the foreground while in the background there was a nice gleam of colour peeking through between the mountains and the bank of cloud above.

Out for my Wednesday afternoon constitutional to regain fitness after knee replacement surgery. Hard work but rewarding.

I led a morning CBC bushwalk around the Melrose Valley which provided the opportunity to seek out this geocache which had been marked with a blue frown on my map for some time. The cache was precisely where I had searched for it last time; clearly it had gone walkabout on that occasion. Thank you BigON for installing and maintaining this cache.
We misunderstood your description at first as ruling out the location, but checked there just in case and there it was!
I was up here taking photos at the nearby trig marker. I saw this location as a potential spot for a cache and surprise! surprise! there was one here. So I signed the log. There are more nearby so I will have to load up my GPS and come back. TFTC
For my late-afternoon constitutional I sought out several of the geocaches on and around Melrose Hill in a three hour, 10.1km walk from Henry Melville Crescent in Gilmore. I found 12 out of the 13 geocaches on my list. This cache was the one I missed. I found an obvious spot on the coordinates, but there was no cache in place. Anyhow, the view was good.
TFTC on such a glorious day for training to go to EVEREST BASE CAMP at the end of the year ! TB dropped !
A nice hike up from overlooked in the warming morning sun. Great views around these parts.

Great views and some nice flowering ground cover around the area. Cache found OK, then headed back to the car to move to the next spot.
Thanks,

A few hours wandering in from the Monaro Highway and around Melrose and the train line. Nice view from here. TFTC.
An even better view from up here! Thanks for the cache! Made a nice quick find while out walking the dog on a cold afternoon. Signed Canberra 945.
#4068 3rd for today
I walked down the rail trail from Hume about a month or so ago and quite enjoyed the experience. So today I headed back to do a bit more. I parked at the paintball/MTB place headed out with a modest number of caches in mind. Today was more about the experience than numbers.
A bit more coimbing to get to this one. I grabbed the GCA trig while at the top. A quick find.
Thanks to the COs: BigON

Out for a lovely walk with The Woofer today. Nobody else about, just the gale force wind! Some really cool locations today.
What a great hill - not steep at all, yet awesome views! Unfortunately the wind was so strong here it almost knocked us off our feet, so we didn't hang around for long. Left a small swap. TFTC!

A day focused on multi caches, with some others thrown in as I passed. I dropped by here on my way to Melrose Monks. Easily found. TFTC.

An even better view than the cache just below. GPSr jumping a bit but didn't really matter up here. TNLNSL TFTC
Blowing a gale but majestic nonetheless. Log signed and returned now to find my car!
Onwards and upwards but the walk was not so bad given this hill does have some height to it! The views are just great and took advantage of GZs well designed seat to enjoy the area before walking back to the car. Thanks for the cache BigON.
Another hill, but another great view too! You can see Mt Tennant from here and the snowy mountains. We do live in a beautiful part of the world. Never would have thought to come up here if it wasn't for this cache - thanks! Tftc!!!
Yet another lovely outlook. On the way, very brave Nodding Blue Lillies, lots of small heath looking a bit like overblown cauliflower, a sole Richard's Pippit and, the icing on the cake, 250m from the cache, a very handy screwdriver. What more can a Geocacher want?? TFTC
Found with Decrypter. We parked off the Monaro Hwy and walked up the hill following the trail. We crossed the fence and continued uphill until we got to GZ. In little time we had CIH. We spent a few minutes admiring the view in all directions. TFTC
Marvellous day for a walk around the pines and up to the Melrose Trig. Grabbed a few caches while out and about and enjoyed the great views over to the Tidbinbilla Range, and appreciated Mt Domain having been up to the cairn there two weeks ago. Not another soul about. Don't let the locked gates deter you, this is publicly accessible land, just climb the gate! TFTC. The trig was on my list to be bagged, and the cache a bonus.
#1291 Quick find while taking the time to admire the great view of the valley. Thanks again BigON.
Spotted the trig point atop the hill and headed straight up around the clumps of scrub. Some bikers left a bike tube which rocketman gathered for proper disposal. TFTC
Bit of clean up today. Really amazing views. Tftc. Also saw ANOTHER Echidna on the walk back to my car!! That's 2 in 1 day!!
Hard hike in the heat, but the view was worth it. Left a stone for a wish to be made upon.

Beatuful autumn night with a warmish hint to the air. Decided to come for a late afternoon cache up behind tuggeranong pines and finish up with a sunset view.Lovely location with a good view of south Canberra. Cheers

Found while wandering up towards the Trig (our objective of the walk) - didn't even know there was a cache in the area, but thought I'd check out that quite obvious spot. Well fancy that!

An 18.1 kilometre walk around Enchanted Hill, Richardson and the railway line east of the Monaro Highway searching for caches. TFTC.
Left bike by the track and walked to this cache, lucky it wasn't a massive walk and
had cache shortly in hand. Nice relaxing place to chill.

Here it is, the first day of summer!!! I decided that I would like a good walk, a few geocaches, and the company of my GeoSchnauzers. This cache was the third today, which we found after a nice walk up a third hill, after a nice downhill stretch. TFTC. At this point, Sophie the GeoMongrel bolted, chasing kangaroos. She didn't catch any, as she was still stuck to her lead, which unfortunately was not stuck to me. She came back after 20 minutes or so, so I suppose it ended well.
Sorted out the land use with TAMS as definitely Canberra Nature Park, I've been coming up here every weekend for a couple of months now with no issues. Time to reactivate as the reviewers are chasing me. Renewed and replaced.
Awaiting removal of private property signs now that the govt has confirmed this land as a nature park and public access. I will reactivate immediately thereafter.
Private property signs have appeared on gates into this area that is shown as Canberra Nature Park on maps in the phone book. Caches recovered and listings disabled where possible pending investigation into this situation. Cachers met on the trail on the way out are welcome to log.
489. As we climbed the fence to get to this one, a lady in her car shouted that it was private property. We told her what we were doing and she seemed happy with the reason. A quick find was made after that. TFTC
Number 500! Woot!
Quite a hike up the hill but well worth it for the views and the find. A sunny but blustery day made for perfect caching
I replaced the log's ziplock bag as it was torn. Took nothing, left a special LEGO Kingdoms Jester keychain to commemorate my 500th find. Thanks for the cache BigON!

Nice easy find, but the walk to the top took some effort. Coming the way I did, I think I descended as far as I could before starting the climb, making the climb even tougher. Again, I seemed to be following MA around the hill.
Couldn't resist the minifigure keychain. Left a couple of D&D toys and silver bells in exchange as well as a travel bug.

Another hill, another trig to look at. Just discovered about the enticement to log these on GCA and wish I'd been doing it, I might try to retroactive a few. Quite windy up here today. Cool duo tone bark on a tree nearby I enjoyed taking photos of. TFTC.
Standing at Overlooked we worked out exactly where this cache would be and started to walk to it. We knew the hide, we knew the general location so it was just a matter of the walk here and then finding the cache. Once we made it to the general location it took no time to spot the hide and after some looking around, admiring the view (and standing under the trig, as is always required once you make it up here!) we grabbed the cache. TFTC.
Another hill! and an even better view, though the sun was starting to drop when we got here. A quick push now for the last three caches of the afternoon. Very peaceful and scenic. TFTC
Found together with Fred when I was still very little but having fun doing this hike here as my sister was at a birthday down south.

This was my absolute favorite of the caches around here today, first little Dino choosing this harder climb over the more easy nearby Overlooker and then the way he made it up the hill all by himself and at a fast pace too. Awesome views at the top (see panorama picture) and the Trig as bonus made this the Favorite cache for me. Thanks BigON.
Came to this from Melrose High. You can see the location from that cache and they must be at about the same altitude. I would be a nice flat walk apart from the valley in between. I rode the bike down to a gate, hid the bike and stomped up the hill. Another great view for the morning. TFTC
After a drive back from Sydney early this a.m. and lounging about for a while, decided we should go out and get some actual exercise and hit 1800 at the same time. Nice hike in the area and grabbed this one along the way. Signed log: TNGD. TFTC!
