The train line was more surprising than the rocks, but a great location for a cache.
Quite a few sag walkers about.

Nice views from up here with a wallaby or 2 hopping around .
Thanks for the cache hide.

Had already had an encounter with a red belly black today and didn’t need any more. The cache description put me off looking for this one.
Found after using the clue coordinates are out by about 10m but cool spot TFTC
No holey rock is here...so this cache may have crept somewhere.
Also noticed the CO hasn't been online in a year, so these caches might not be maintained any longer.

Nice walk on a cool summer evening. Only time it's tolerable to be outdoors at the moment- either stinking hot or pouring rain during daylight.
Relatively quick find once at ground zero.

Out for a walk to regain fitness after knee replacement surgery. Hard work but rewarding.

#50 We braved the cold conditions to walk around the Tuggeranong Pines and the train line - the sun came out and did not disappoint.
A quick find ... once we got our bearing! TFTC

Terrific cache! Great hiding spot. The hint made sense and had heaps of fun!!:)
I went to go find this and magpies swooped me and they were really aggressive. Soooo maybe wait until spring ends.
I took a little walk on Sunday morning, finding another hill I've never walked before. I love the scenery the old railway makes here.
Thanks for the cache!

Seems like I was sitting directly in front of it the whole time ahha will need a new log in 10 more finds FYI

For my late-afternoon constitutional I sought out several of the geocaches on and around Melrose Hill in a three hour, 10.1km walk from Henry Melville Crescent in Gilmore. I found 12 out of the 13 geocaches on my list. This cache was a straightforward find, being in an obvious spot on the coordinates. Thank you BigON for installing and maintaining this cache.
It was muggle central along here this morning - which surprised me, so had to pick my time for the find.
Signed log and continued on my way
Thanks BigON

Almost back to the car, and well after 5pm so this was my last find on my loop of the area. All good.
Thanks,
Thanks,
A few hours wandering in from the Monaro Highway and around Melrose and the train line. Nice view from here. TFTC.
Kids were keen to get out of the house on this cool Saturday afternoon. They love walking along the old rail line.
Continued my walk over to this one, the train tracks are 100% unused now, not even the tourist train uses it anymore, so I much enjoy walking along the track instead! It is a very different feel to the usual fire trails you take when geocaching!
Ascended up the little hill on the bend and started searching around the pole. Eventually spotted what I was looking for and carefully extracted and replaced.
Thanks for this little trail BigON! Loving it

#3952 2nd for today
My new Garmin Oregon 750t has arrived and I was keen to take it out for a spin, in particular to try out some of the new functionality. I used the GCLive feature to load caches in the field, and took a few pics. So I was down at the bottom of Hume to grab a few along the rail trail. There were a few storms threatening and I did get a bit wet, but it was pleasant enough.
A quick find.
Thanks to the COs: BigON

I managed to bribe my youngest son to come for a bike ride with me, to collect the caches along the old railway line. We parked close to Quincunx and cached our way south to Melrose High, before enjoying the non-stop ride back again. Cache easily found. TFTC.

Made a transposition error in the co-ords so slithered unnecessarily down a steep hill for 100m then had to climb back up! Got the cache though.
We were following the rail line and initially missed this one. Had to backtrack up the hill to retrieve it. Thankfully no snakes were spotted in the process.

#6123 - 17:25; After collecting a GCA cache of the CO's a bit further down the hill, I decided to head up and grab this one. I was regretting the decision when I was about 35 metres out and heard a hiss, only to see a 1.5-2m brown snake with head up staring in my direction. I must have almost trodden on it on my way past. A slow backwards move further up the hill and through the fence, then on to GZ where I waited for the pulse to settle before commencing the hunt and making the find. Certainly a memorable effort, though not so much for the cache. Took a longer way back down, but had a much clearer view of the track ahead and avoided any further encounters of the slippery kind! TFTC BigON
We left The Woofer at home today (we've picked enough grass seeds out of her fur lately!) and headed out to grab a bunch of caches that have been staring us in the face for a while. We found 11 from 11 (over 11km!!), and had a great walk along the train tracks, saw some awesome views, dodged a snake, and left goodies behind wherever possible.
A nice easy find. TFTC!

Sunday 20 November 2016 - a hot 30 degree + Spring afternoon riding my bike, and walking 7.4kms in approx 2.25hrs to find 7 from 7 caches. Enjoyed the light sprinkle of rain as the thunder and lightening rumbled in the distance along with torrential rain. Great walk along the old railway line. Thx p2p. TFTC BigON
Returning from the trig, walked by the old railway line, which is no longer in use, was operated as a tourist railway by enthusiasts but they lacked the money for necessary repairs. Anyway, a lovely stroll, and a handy spot for a cache. TFTC.
Another one done. Woo Hoo! I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my family, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs. **Thanks go to BigON** for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated.
I enjoyed finding this one at 12:05:14 PM with Jackson Lightning, geo-spouse and geo-kid.
TFTC! Cheers. *Jump Pilot*

Split up the group to get this one while the other half ventured up the hill. Took a little while to find but the pretty half of Ham228 found it quite fast. Tftc!
Found this one with the prettier half of Jim1213 as our other team mates detoured to another cache. Great spot for a cache and a nice rest whilst we waited. Tftc!
At first I didn't understand the Hint especially since my GPS had me several meters from the S pole. However persistent looking paid off and I signed in again. Thanks BigON
#1295 Working my way along the railway line, i make another quick find. Thanks BigON.
Glad I went from fern Gully to this one, the hike up would have worn me out :p tftc a nice easy find
