Today was doing the coastal tour to Troubridge Point Lighthouse, before making the long trip home. Picked up caches regularly, as well as finishing the Investigator Straight Shipwreck Trail adventure lab. Very enjoyable day with some fantastic views. TFTC
Visiting the area with NZ_B, Mr Mcgoo and Marchwood. Today Marchwood and I decided to explore the area further south of Port Vincent - and also pick up some caches along the way before heading up to Adelaide for the Great Leap Forward Mega tomorrow. Looks like the day will be a little cooler - yah. What a great area for geocaching - Really enjoyed visiting lots of seaside towns. Thanks to all the Co's for the caches and ad labs that we picked up on our way. Thanks to earthlight for an interesting series of caches. We enjoyed visiting the art work today
On our way to Adelaide today to prepare for the Great Leap Forward mega event tomorrow.Kiscardi and I decided to explore south of Port Vincent before heading back to the big smoke. This kiln was a bit on the underwhelming side especially once we saw the one subsequently in Wool Bay.TFTC
Yorke Peninsula road trip, day 5, Coobowie to Stansbury.Tricky to get to this one with the amount of fallen trees.TFTC
Making my way to the top of the trail to finish. Just having an easy day caching.
Another day out finding caches while on a geocaching trip with tmann421Really enjoying all the sites and the history we are seeingThanks for the placement
This weekend is a mental health/selfish/me time weekend.
Headed to YP to do as I please which of course meant geocaching.
My plan was to ‘finish’ fishing . It and the geoart will be almost finished bar avenging some prior dnfs.
Was also keen to find some multis and visit a few places I haven’t been to before.
Mission accomplished in my happy place for the day. Only 2 dnfs. Sadly the Pies lost their Prelim final but we love to fight another day. Stansbury was a revelation to me the pub was brilliant.
All up around 130 found for the day.
Nice history here TFTC

A coolish morning but the ️ is out and the sky is blue. Out with iluvtrekking caching towards Stanbury and Edithburgh. Thanks for the hide Ciril.
Our plan today was to complete the ’Yorke Water Towers’ and ‘Investigator Straight Shipwreck Trail’ Adventure Lab caches, and grab any traditionals we might pass by on the way.
What a delight to find a pathtag ‘in the wild’ so to speak which we are very happy to add to our collection
Many thanks for the hide Ciril

Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
The three of us were spending some time on Yorke Peninsula, and today Mr Tardis went out for a caching run in the southern half. I did a section of the Gone Fishing trail, and found lots of old and new caches on the way there and back.
I'm happy to report that I found this cache in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Very interesting history about Lime Kilns that I didn't know before.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Ciril.

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.
Today, I took the long route home back to Adelaide from Edithburgh, but did multiple detours along the way. I initially headed south to Sultana Point, followed by Troubridge Point; Two areas that I hadn't visited in all of my historical Coobowie Yorke Peninsula trips. I then drove north following the coastal route, stopping off in Coobowie, Wool Bay, and Port Vincent. A highlight was visiting the white clay mine just north of Stansbury, and it was a nice walk along the beach to get to.
Cool lime kiln remnants! I managed to find the cache reasonably quickly, and the cache container was in good shape, however the logbook was slightly damp. Thanks Ciril for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A quick pull over here today. The cache was easily found and is all in good order
A quick overnight trip to the Yorkes for 1.5 days of solid caching. I did a bit of the geoart by myself before meeting up with Davidwazza for a majority of the day caching around Innes National Park. With an event in the evening in Edithburgh headed over there before going for a nice walk along the water front for the evening. Day 2 I made my way from Edithburgh along the coast line and back home by lunch time. A total of 169 caches for the trip.
Thanks for the cache

Day 3 of our holidays saw us leave Edithburgh and arrive in Nuriootpa. Along the way with the Camper Trailer in tow, we discovered old Cemeteries, Mr IML72's favourite place to cache, as he always jumps out to see if he can find any relatives with the surname LEIBHARDT, BENCH(OR BENSCH), ZIBELL & A'BECKETT
With some roads he was also concerned how he would turn the car and camper around. TFTC

After a mad run and some seriously crazy hours on the fishing line yesterday, Team KAA are back in action, heading to the geoart. Although this is a nothing special cache, I'm giving it a favourite for the excellent write up. Well done.
Signed as KAA - we had a pirate stamp but it ran out of ink a long time ago. KAA are the Kiwis and Aussies - Mar1sa and the Seagnoid for the Kiwis, skuzzybear, Munja and DavidWazza for the Aussies.

The third day of the Aussies and Kiwi’s caching trip to the York Peninsula and today we were attempting to tackle the Geo Art. After a quick breakfast we made our way back towards Warooka, and like the previous day we quickly got into our caching rhythm. Whilst we were still chasing numbers, we were not looking to push ourselves as much as we did yesterday. With this being the case, we still were able to achieve some good numbers and have an enjoyable day. As the sun began to sink low in the sky, we finally decided to call it a day and try and find something for tea. All logs were signed as KaA (Kiwis and Aussies).

Today we headed south and enjoyed visiting and exploring some of the small towns and seaside communities of the Yorke Peninsula, together with ilook4geo. The sea breeze was much appreciated on yet another hot day. We found a selection of caches to represent the different areas and each one had both names noted on the log.
This was a nice easy find. Thanks go to the CO for placing a cache here.

Spent the day cruising and caching around the Yorke Peninsula with goingplaces2. We had a good day, found plenty of caches to add some smileys to our map. Logs signed and we moved on. TFTC.
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Admittedly we came for the power trails to make up some of our statistics, but we also wanted to check out some of the traditionals as well. This was obviously one of those we wanted to pick up.
I can’t get over just many old ruins there are around SA. But I do like old things and history, so I’m glad you have highlighted some of these.
We parked across the road and walked across to grab this one. Tftc Ciril!!!

Our last day in Edithburgh, but we have been waiting for the promised sunny day of light wind so we can head north along the coast. Some great scenery and caching is hopefully in store.
Sorry-the logs are starting to get a bit repetitious but we are having a great time, walking in the sun and the breeze, collecting caches as we go, enjoying the scenery and appreciating the caches. It’s nice that the hides are not too onerous, but just subtle enuf to make us work for a few of them. Others we have found pretty quickly. Life’s always more interesting if things don’t come too easy!
We certainly like all these old stone remnants of past times. The stone walls have lots of character and they are dotted all over the Yorke Peninsula.
A straightforward find

Found as part of My Annual leave SA adventure, I had a great time touring the Yorke Peninsula and other areas of the state. This was My last day on the Gone Fisin trail, I sure was glad to get it finished and go look around a few towns, I was a bit over looking at wheat and canola. Nice history here, replaced the cache container in the obvious hiding spot. Thanks Ciril (F=846 H=64) for the cache.
This cache has a string of DNF and from my visit I would be pretty sure it’s not here CO please check
Today we explored Yorketown and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Great visiting all these historical sites. Gives a insight to life of the early settlers. Tfth
Had come down this way with LLL51 today chasing a couple of FTF's and we decided to stop off here on our way past. [;D]
Found a good way in to GZ and the cache was soon found. [^] Love reading about the history associated with some cache hides.
Thanks for the cache Ciril.

Heading home from a fantastic JLWE event and finding the odd cache on the way, this was a quick find. TFTC
Sadly today I had to start my journey home after a massive June Long Weekend. Luckily I was only driving as far as Adelaide and then catching a flight back to Mount Gambier.
Found with brisal5 while trying to grab just a few more.
Thanks

On a whirlwind trip around a bit of the Yorke with Purrfect Di, - Alex - , Sebastbat and Jack.
Weather wasn't so good for the beach, so we ended up caching. So many to come back for though!!!
Interesting history lessons along the way - like this kiln.

Now this is quality history
And nice to see a construction such as this in a semi-dilapidated sort of way
It is amazing to think how these simple structures,
and all the hard work by the labourers,
resulted in buildings that have stood the test of time
