Mrs CF was attracted by the opportunity that we might see a platypus. However, neither the platypus nor the cache were spotted today - just a few ducks - and a lizard sunning itself under the walking bridge. We did enjoy the stop.
Meandering in our motorhome finding a few caches along the way. Once again this hobby has brought us to a delightful place we would never have thought of visiting. A FP for that. TFTC
Nice place, easy find with the hint. #3 for the day. Had to sneak it as muggles were doing maintenance around the corner. #7 for the trip.
Having arrived in Tamworth last night to visit with family, Blkthunder and I have a day in Tamworth and Walcha to cache and sightsee before returning to Brisbane tomorrow… there may have been more caching than sightseeing…
Having finished in Walcha this pre 2010 cache was a nice detour on the way back to Tamworth… a quick find thanks to the hint….
I really wanted to investigate the railway bridge…

On our way from Walcha to Tamworth we stopped by to check this out - a pretty little spot. Would have driven right past, had it not been for the cache. This must have been a busy spot, although you'd never know it today ... TFTC!
Found with my Dad and big brother on our Walcha road trip weekend....

On our way to Tamworth and home from Walcha, we diverted down here for this cache - good coordinates placed us right on it - thanks, there were several structures that hint could apply to... All nice and dry of course - we grabbed the TB....TFTC!

After driving down the road and spotting the likely spot, we parked and walked over, only to find it was a few metres away tucked up on its little ledge.

Quickly found thanks to hint. Some interesting history here and a great spot beside the river. Discovered 'Trades From Saints Madhouse-discover only' TFTC nocomerino.
Found this one late afternoon with goingplaces2. All is in good condition. TFTC.
Looked for this one with ilook4geo and had success. Signed log and put everything back in its proper place. Thank you to nocomerino for bring us us this lovely quiet little place.
Easy little park and grab. Called in and spent by the river. Quaint little town. The cache is in good condition, signed and replaced. Thanks for placing the cache
Yes, found it.
Discovered "Trades from SaintsMadHouse - Discover only!" trackable.

Day 6 of a 7 day trip from Canberra to Bourke, to Narrabri, to Armidale and back to Canberra. The main goal (apart from having a break from working from home) is to collect counties, and see some of NSW I haven't been to before. Cache easily found thanks to the hint. TFTC.

Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 5. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. Today we moved north to Armidale, but not in a straight line. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost every cache.
Thanks for the cache nocomerino

20,591. Found with albida33 during a meander up to and around the Tamworth and Armidale regions.
Day 5 of our trip. Packed up the rather wet campsite and headed out after breakfast for what turned out to be another big days caching. We aimed to cache our way up to Armidale. Next stop of the day, and we came up with a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.
TFTC nocomerino !!

689 of 1266 kilometres into my journey from Brisbane to Sydney.
Very disappointed to not find the cache, after going on a total diversion of 100km to find this cache, and one other. I wasn't alone at GZ, with some other campers pretty much exactly where the compass pointed. The coordinates are definitely out when looking at the satellite image, and unfortunately I could not find it today having searched all over. Also no platypuses seen here today. What a shame it all went wrong for me in Woolbrook

Haven't been to Walcha in years so with the help of my geodog Scruffy, we decided to find a few of the caches in the area ...
Saw this on the map and am glad I made the detour. [^]
What a great little spot and a nice easy one to start a cold winters day of caching.
All Good .. TFTC ..

We are heading for home after a lovely 2 weeks on the warm sunshine of the north coast. A cold night ahead in this small village. We were camped nearby and went for a short walk to find this one. TNLN Thanks K&M

I love the railway bridge here. I am so glad to have got this after my rather sad start to the day, missing planned caches coz I missed a turn off and had to detour, pretty way to detour though so it is all good in the end. Cache in great condition here, I got a nasty splinter nearby so be careful.
I found it very easily with my GPS being spot on. Left a token for a fellow cacher. Checked out the railway bridge in town, noted the phone box outside the original Post Office and was pointed out the old railway sign now relocated to the school. Learn't that Barnaby Joyce went to that school and his mother still lives in the locality. We had a friend (another geocacher) who was the stationmaster in the town 50 years ago, so sent him a few piccies.
A little bit off the main roads, quick find by Wazza9, signed log and replaced. Thanks to nocomerino.
We are heading from Brisbane to Bright in Victoria, caching as we go, wherever it is safe to pull up with the caravan. We left Brisbane on 3rd Jan and don't have to be in Bright til the end of the month. We are camped near Niangela, and today's drive takes us via Walcha, Bendemere and Uralla.
This was a quick find in an interesting village. Thanks nocomerino

Found in the company of pprass.
On our way to Tamworth for the weekend and we made a small detour to find this cache. Shone the headlights onto the area and a quick find was made. Glad no one around at this time of the night.

Nice quick find at this beautiful spot. Love the old rail bridge that you can see from here. Tftc
Found by Pat & Cheryl at 2:27 pm. Thanks for bringing us to this great location and helping us to increase our tally. Really enjoyed this cache nocomerino and this is # so far for us.
On our way home to the coast after a trip west in the van. Wonderful reserve by the river but freezing cold outside. Thank goodness for diesel heating in the van.
I found the Coords to be quite close and trusted my gps to take me to GZ.

My mothers family grew up in Woolbrook and my nan and grandpa still live on top of the hill nearby. I drove past earlier in the afternoon but there were people stopped so i headed back to nans. i returned about an hour later and no one was around. as i drove past the first time i made a guess as to where it might be hiding. turns out my guess was wrong and i followed my gps to the correct location where i made a quick find. TFTC
nice scenery on a little side trip on way to Walcha, thanks for showing us this lovely spot.
Took a detour home from Tamworth to get this one, nice place, don't get the name of the cache though...TFTC.
First find of the day on my way to Port Macquarie for the weekend events. Nice easy find in a beautiful little village. TFTC
[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there nocomerino. We found your cache "War & Peace" at 8:08:00 AM today.
This was our 1st cache find in a caching run of 4 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9871.)
[Blue]
We are trying to log at least one cache every day, so we can add to our streak of "Most Consecutive Days Cached", which we started on New Years Day 2014. Our route today took us past some really wonderful & scenic locations.
We are traveling from Stanthorpe to Port Macquarie. We thought that this was a good spot to camp for the night and then to press on in the morning. As we were leaving the GPS told us that there was a cache nearby, so we just had to stroll over and sign the book..
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Novelty Badge.
Grabbed Trackable: "Stumpy - Alien 1"
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

This was #100 for me today and am delighted to be able to find it at such a lovely spot. The river was beautiful, plenty of ducks, but couldn't spot a platypus. Took wombat and pen, and left toy car, ball and avatar. TFTC noncomerino, SL.
We went quietly past a motor home the other side of the detour and temporary bridge/causeway, and when we got the building soon found the cache. All good TNLN. Discover Me Tag thru

2045 GAFF2 Thought we could get a couple more caches on the return trip, so detoured on in.
All was quiet after winding our way over the causeway. Take care when looking for the cache, as there is a Scotch thistle very close by. Cache dry and intact. Good coordinates, but unable to leave a CSM.
Brought through for mileage: 12-12-12 Event, 3 Bros NSW, Auckland NZ'13, Aussie Christmas Geocoin, B 2 B Travel ingot, CII-35Z, CITO - Upper Swan and Beyond geocoin, Explorer Tag - Jeremy, GCookie EARTH Cache 10 year Celebration Coin, GLORIA, GxPROXY Traveller - MATT, Iconic Bridges 2012, Mei letzter Schilling, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, NZ Mega 13 signature, NZ Mega 2013 GCookie Coin, Semmels first 1,000 Geocoin, The Cache Koala, X-Mas Geocoin 2011, and trackable shirts.

This Cache was on my list to visit, but it came up sooner than I expected, as on this day I was returning to Uralla from Tamworth when I encountered a highway diversion at Bendemeer, which took me through Walcha. And for those who know the area, this road passes within 1 km of Woolbrook, so here was a great opportunity to visit this Cache. Which I found with little trouble, a very appropriate location. TFTC.
Catching up on the new Walcha caches while home for Xmas. Nice spot and a straight forward find. TNLNSLTFTC
A small little town on the railway. Peaceful. Found this one with Lonely RA and cadet Kelly as part of the NSW Lone Rover Crew. TFTC
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a way to explore the "land down under".
It was a wet day for caching. GPS was sending us all over the place so we used the clue and quickly made the find.
Spent the night across the stream at the rest stop.... perfect!
Thanks for the fun nocomerino!

Another one on a freezing day. Will visit gardens when it warms a little. Interesting little place. Thanks nocomerino
Found at 11:04 AM GAFF1. We were way out today with the co-ords - they showed 25 metres at the spot where we eventually found the cache. A nice quite area but not as nice as where we stayed the last couple of nights at Yarowyck Crossing.
Thanks nocomerino
Thanks nocomerino
Nice little town just off the road. Don't think anyone lives here though - there wasn't anyone to be seen!
Had a quick look in the river but no platypus there today.
Thanks, Robmc.

Thanks for the quick stop and enjoyment to find the cache on the long trip, cheers
Second attempt. Last time the gps was having an off day and no internet coverage. New day, new gps, gotcha!
A brief stop as only 7c with light rain. Luckily cache not too hard to find. Thanks.
After a nice cross country drive from "A crossing for english foe" we came to the village of woolbrook. I wasn't too sure of where I was going but as soon as I saw the hall I knew the cache would be nearby. I parked right next to gz and soon had the cache in hand. Many thanks nocomerino
Did not find, thought we were on the right track but after rereading the clue maybe not. Have another go next time we're in the area.
Approaching from the high ridge to the east, I wasn't sure that it would be safe to continue this cache chase.
The signs of impending battle were all too evident down by the bridge.
Grey nomads had circled their wagons on the banks of the river.
A sure sign that an attack was imminent [:o]
But I wasn't going to be turned away from a possible cache find.
It was past noon and if an attack was going to come today it would most probably have happed at dawn
So I galloped across the bridge at full tilt in the geomobile and ran over to GZ.
Phew !! A quck find
I high tailed it back across the river and toward Fort Bendemeer before anyone could stop me [:o)]

Quiet little place - lovely setting with bridges and creek. Took nothing, left post-it pad, smiley eraser and something else (?) Cache #100 for New South wales (#219 in total) TFTC Nocomerino!
And so to this one a few km down the road towards Tamworth. We'd never previously visited Barnaby Joyce's home territory - except travelling on the train. Another great site.
