Add me to the growing DNF list. Had a good search. Even a PAF didn't produce the goods. This one needs a CO check, I would politely suggest.
Searched everywhere but could not find the cache. Lovely and lesser known area around the estuary, even for the locals.
Nice afternoon for a scooter ride around part of the estuary walkway. Searched for around 20 minutes without uncovering the hide.
Pretty glade. Searched around for quite a while but no luck, will try another time. Thanks for a tricky one.
Our last cache for the day before I had to go to work. We navigated our way to a nearby entry point to the bush walk and started off on our little trek. This was a lovely walk through a bit of quiet bush that was nestled in among the houses out here. After a few minutes, we arrived at GZ. As the GPS was bouncing around a little bit and misreading some of the logs for clues to the location, the right area was searched and the tricky cache was soon found. This was rather satisfying as the "where would I hide a cache here" strategy was used, and it worked. TFTC
Cool hide! What a great pathway. Enjoyed our little trip and took some great photos ☺ TFTC
I visited GZ with a group of ten students and a muggle teacher from St John’s College in Hamilton as part of their camp week. Over four days and three nights we visited Orewa, Whangaparoa, Waiwera, Whangarei, Paihia, Waitangi and Russel. We generally signed the logs SJC GEO Camp to save each student needing to sign the log. The boys literally ran from Geocache to Geocache trying to beat each other to the find. By the second to last day they had all at least found one cache each. They all seemed to enjoy the experience and hopefully will decide to keep Geocaching as a consequence. We found a great variety of caches in some amazing spots. A huge thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining all the caches we found.
Without a hint and everyone's devices pointing us in different directions we decided to move on when one of the boys got a little to adventurous and ended up in the creek to the amusement of his friends. One of the more memorable DNF's I've had.

Very nice location. Lotsa muggles around. Found this after a bit of searching! TFTC
We left the main track to this one, I got down to the bridge and asked rusty if the cache would be here, she said half way between there and the main track so together we searched, I decided one more big burst of energy was required, so stepped of track and got my hands rather dirty but found the caches hiding spot, phew, glad to get this one! With no plastic bag, I was quite surprised the paper was so dry, maybe there is a lesson to be had here!

Getting tired now, and Gorby had the energy to find its hiding place. We are fading, must need coffee, or at least a chair to sit on! After cache was rehidden, I spotted my first mosquito! no snacking on me, as I made my way back to the walkway. Cache contents lovely and dry, even with the log not in a bag. Lovely little spot, I walked a little further along, looks like the neighbours have some cleaning up to do! Thanks for the hide
Tricky find on a lovely side path. Can be found with both feet still on the path. TFTC
Well, I wasn't half way there, but in the end it proved to be correct anyhow, be course I had to turn around because of the rain. TFTC!
Tried this one three times before and finally had it in hand! Great hiding place and a good challenge thanks!
Beaut day for a walk. Nice to see this old walkway. Nice little treasure nestled away. After spending over 45 minutes and nealy giving up, I was determined to find. GPS was fluctuating but found in the end.
Nice easy find had no idea this path was here, spent a little while searching though the bush before i read that i did not have to leave the track
Great little cache, found and signed log and replaced in the same place that I found it! thanks for the cache
Quick find whilst walking the dogs. TFTC.

Well, who would have known of this little pathway existing - now well marked. The log store was full today in the garden - a reflection of the temperature drop of late. TFTC.
GPSr jumping around a bit but 'gar' spotted it after a while. Nice little hide The Clan Fraser - thanks for placing. On to the next around this walkway - we're enjoying it so far, and made even better with these hides.
Oh wow I completely forgot to log those caches!
We went here with Donisa and the kids. It was their first time geocaching and they absolutely loved it ^^. That one was found by Donisa. Nice little path, well hidden . TFTC.

Today we went on a short walk along the sea with Karapo 88 at this place. The goal of this walk was to show what is geocaching to some children. We found 3 out of 4 caches we searched, and the children loved it. It was a pleasure, and there was a lot of sun.
Thanks for these caches.
Thanks for these caches.
From both side we couldn't find this one - it might be too natural comoed for our eyes.
Cute little side path, might have missed but for the compass! Gorgeous area, thanks for bringing us here.
Third time lucky - missed it by the smallest margin yesterday - need to learn to be a bit more thorough when searching. TFTC.
Great little hide. Looked at obvious places first and then thought harder and made the find fairly quickly. TFTC
[green] At long last, after two weeks of Auckland Mega and the GeoTours North and South, I can get my bike out and go for a ride. Over 30 caches by bike today!
Over three quarters of the way around the inlet and I've reached half way! I love this walk/cycle way. If I lived here I'd be on it all the time.

Took a while to find this with my GPSr bouncing about. Eventually found in a sensible location after searching expanding my search area to more logical places. Thanks!
Gosh I remember when that bridge wasnt there and you had to go though the trees to get over the other side
Had to keep one eye on the weather while looking for this one, as it had been raining most of the day. Quickly found.
Out today to clean up a few missed caches around the 8 km estuary walk. Pleased to have bagged this one as we just couldn't find it on two previous looks!! The GPS was a little more friendly this time and cache was soon found; why did we miss it previously ??? Number two for the day!! TFTC
Its a shame to see this part of the track not used much any more due to the pristine cycleway being preferred. This one took me a few minutes to find after walking down the track a wee way was able to spot it. A clever hide and a lovely spot. TFTC
Out in silverdale to clean up ones missed from last time. Nice walkway.. fairly easy find. . Tftc
Up in the Silverdale area so decided to get some more of the caches up here.
Lovely secluded walkway.. found cache after the GPS settled down..

I was out with on a family Sunday drive today and decided to pick up a few caches in the area. This was the first time that I had ever been on this walkway and I must admit that I really enjoyed it. As for the cache, this proved to fairly straight forward with the only difficulty being a resident muggle overlooking the GZ and hence my searching activities. Although I quickly found the cache, I decided to retreat back to bridge and hence out of sight to sign the log . I then managed to return it without being spotted. TFTC.
Enjoyed this walkway. GPS jumping about a tad, so walked out along walkway then came back in. Spotted cache, signed and wondered off as muggles came along.
Found by Lizzie10 and Roger from the UK out with fellow cachers(family) ChrisnDust and James. For some reason we took a bit of time before finding this,we were trying to be too clever!TFTC.
Got it with thebarrows!
Couldn't find it last time, got it straight away this time around

#666, Quick Find. Log Completely saturated. Needs a new log sheet. I didn't have any with me today. TFTC
I like having out of the office meetings, give me a chance to do caches a bit further away from home. Glad there was no one home as took a while walking slowly back and forth trying to get the GPSr to settle. Decided where I felt it was and then started with a quick look around, with no luck. OK will need a bit of a closer inspection - afterall it is dificulty 2, so won't leep out at me. Started looking in the right places but took awhile as I started at the furthest away. TFTC
Grabbing a few caches in the area while passing through on our 'how ever long it takes' NZ tour.
Thanks for setting this up.

Easy find, good hiding spot though. A path I have used many times in the past before the new walkway went through
The log book is very wet, but didnt have time to dry it out

Came at this a second time, from the opposite side, and hey presto, we found it! Logbook soaked and couldn't sign it. Lovely spot. Thanks for bringing us this way.
I did look for this one earlier today....no find. So after 4 DNF on this little track we needed to check again. With the hint we looked and looked, and almost needed to admit another DNF.....But I just wanted to take just one look (as my hubby was already on the bridge back to the campervan)....and yes just that one look was a golden look....And so we found this on our 2nd attempt of today.
Gave up as our GPS was going haywire with the directions and everyone was rather tired after a day of caching will go back for another try soon
Easy find thanks. We have been here in the past before the modern walkway was constructed. Co-ords were OK for us. Log is without plastic bag and very wet. (Sorry didn't have and bags ith us to leave).
#788 On a bit of a journey today to collect family member from Orewa, take to the airport and then return home. So decided to cache on the way there. Nice walkway. Took a wee while to locate. SL. TFTC.
What a great area this cache bought us too. Muggles stopped for a chat on the bridge so we had to wander around a little - just as well, as it gave us an oppurtunity to view GZ from a new perspective and it gave us an idea of where the cache could be ... bingo, cache soon hand, signed, put back and the muggles none the wiser.
