It's now time to say farewell to this cache hide. I am no longer in the area and would find it difficult to maintain it so I've decided to archive the listing and open the area up for another cacher to place a hide.
Thank you to all those who came to this lovely part of the lake in search of Delta Force. It is certainly a beautiful spot.

It was a great day for a stroll round the lake and a cool breeze made the experience enjoyable in the middle of summer. Thanks for bringing us to a lovely section of the lake we probably would never have experienced.
Was brought to this area by a new cache and seeing as I was so close, why not go for a wander around the lake edge.
Great Coords and previous photos made this one a very easy find.
Looks like Calypso62 put quite some effort into the painting of this container.
All is well and dry.
The covering has kept it concealed from nearby Muggle activities.

Quite a stroll to get to here, but very nice. Once we got to gz the find was made instantly. nice sized container too! TFTC!!!
Been to summerland point countless times, but I didn't know this little place existed. Lovely walk to the GZ, signed the log. TFTC.
Lovely walk. Geohound loved it! Geohound chose the tennis ball. We left a toy set. Love the container. Nice big one, so good to leave some decent sized swaps in.
A pleasant walk led to the hide and interesting information about the power station. Thanks very much
We (me + son + son's mate) parked at the park and made the easy walk down to GZ. The kids soon found the cache, and what a large and nice looking cache it is! Signed log and took a poker chip. Added a 1 Yen coin and some small toys. The boys spotted what looked like a stingray a few metres off in the water.
Thanks for the cache Calypso62!

We should of had our gumboots to walk the track in today as after all the recent rain it is extremely muddy with puddles so big you could almost kayak across them. Nevertheless it was a peaceful, enjoyable walk along the waters edge,

it was a lovely walk along the water today as the sun was starting to go down in the afternoon, at GZ the cache was quickly located and signed. TNLNSL
Nice hide. Had a Sea Eagle along the water while we sung Flight of hte concord songs along the way there. tftc
While a few of the MAP's crew had lived here, the ones down today didn't even know where Summerland Point is.
Was 'guided' by Cookie as to where to park, and then a pleasant, but windy walk to GZ.
With so many eyes the cache was soon found. Nice spot.

While on another trip south with MAP's and GCookie we stopped by an area where I spent 6 months when I was too young to remember (so I'm told).
A pleasant enough walk, despite the gusting wind, and overcast sky.
Soon found our way to the area, and the cache was dry and intact.
TNLN, except a blue pen

Having lived in Birrabang Avenue for 6 months while studying I had walked to this part of Lake Macquarie a few times. Nice to come back while on our way down to Gosford so I could do a Risk Assessment for a CITO on Sunday.
Thought I knew where to park, as I'd walked a track up to Cams Boulevard a few times, but missed it today, or it had built over.
Enjoyed the walk, even tho the sky was threatening to dump some more rain.
Cache, dry, coordinates good.
Left: Travel GPS coin
Brought through for mileage: 3Bros, AustLighthouses, CITO Tag, CITO Travel Tag, Iconic Bridges '12, Sunseeker, Baa, Neigh, and Oink coins, B2B ingot, and N-JOYO and Red Racing Ninja #4 TBs, and trackable shirt.
TFTC Calypso 62 (with my sister retiring from Crosslands I won't be down your way too often now)

Its been raining for about an hour during my travels, I parked nearby and began my walk, the track along the lake is about 1ft deep ughhhhh. I skirted about doing my best, my feet got mildly wet. beep goes the battery on the phone, your kidding me !, and I've left the spares in the car !, switched off the GPS and 3G and started running !, 600m later I get to the point and now my feet are totally swimming, 30secs of power and I find the cache. And its an Awsome camo one, a real heavy duty cache container, very inspirational, I'll have t make one of these for sure, they are sooooooo cool !

After spending the night on my geo-yacht anchored over on the western side of the lake, and picking up 3 caches there early this morning, I sailed across and found a nice anchorage 200mts from the cache. After rowing to shore I found an easy track to GZ, and quickly located the cache, Left TB thanks. Now off to “Time Capsule”.
nice walk along the water with the kids... easy find.. great location... thanks!
Parked at the Kullaroo end and had a pleasant walk along the shorline as the track was flooded. Beautiful spot for a picnic with all the facilities handy. Foud GZ and soo had the cache. Grabbed (cute) TB and left 1951 halfpenny.
Up this way at Pt Wolstoncroft sport n Rec Camp. Great spot, thanks for the hunt.
This one took far longer to find than it should have. Nice hiding spot and great walk
Returned today as it was not rainning! Glas we did as we found a TB and left a TB!
May the force be with...? Wrong type of force we're talking about here. We took the long walk option from the reserve at the other end past the big country properties. Lovely area and enjoyed the walk. Looks like kids or beachcomber types have been busy building close to GZ but all is well with the hide.
Second of the day for a Calypso cache after Serenity. Thanks Bruce.

lovely park area and easy walk on track to gz as found cache very well, hide very good well.... thanks
A great spot to look at the sunset, grabbed this one 15 mins to dark, was very spectacular. Thank you for bringing us here & TFTC.
We took a lovely stroll around the Lake to GZ. We didn't realise the amount of noise produced by a powerstation! Found quickly and left Neigh geocoin. TFTC.
Reperio at 0945. Followed the trail around from 'Time Capsule', and it certainly was a very enjoyable walk out to this point. For such a decent sized cache it is hidden very well. Lovely area.

Our 4933rd overall find.
It was a lovely day for a walk and Shell and I had not been down this way before. It's so nice to see a cache that is not just a drive by. We loved some of the nearby houses as we walked in and with another cache down here the area is certainly worth visiting.
Thanks to Calypso62 for the cache.

Just dropping the "Bugerang" TB into this cache. Cache will be back online in the near future.
Cache removed for safety reasons as there were some youths loitering in the area. While removed I'll check it out and have it back again ASAP.
This cache has been removed temporarily. I will disable the listing once Smurfyguy has logged his find.
Found this one while out and about with the cache owner - Calypso62 and also Geotooter. We had spent the day caching up at Cooranbong and decided to drop in here as our last one before heading home back to Sydney. A really nice walk down to this cache along the foreshore with plenty of ducks and birds around. Once we reached GZ, a couple of fisherman were close to GZ so while Calypso62 and Geotooter distracted tehm, I quickly made the grab. Deeming it to be a little too risky to put back, Calypso62 decided to take the cache with him and perform some maintaince on it. A really nice cache in a nice area of the Lake. Favourite Point allocated here.

I went for a lovely stroll late this afternoon to check on this cache. I hadn't been down there for quite a while. I found the cache in position with camouflage intact. The cache is well stocked with swag and I also managed to drop the "Bead Hare Dude" TB into the container to continue travelling.

MJNB - nice long walk along lake, left little elephant candle and took basketball whistle
Came DOON to a BONNIE little place on the water. How's the serenity? Walked past Calypso's little place on the water. Not a bad little weekender with a tennis court. Piracy obviously paying well these days! Thanks Calypso

It's been a few weeks since we have been caching, so we headed out today to try and find 20 more caches. We chose to do the easier of the two walks to get to this one. We enjoyed the great views of the lake along the path and admired the fabulous houses as well. Not sure if I could live here though with the constant buzzing noise from the power station. Despite that this is a beautiful area and we enjoyed looking for the cache - it was nicely hidden. We took both the Pathtag TB and the $50 TB and signed the log. TFTC
Found it with Eleebanana and Geodog Louis after a nice walk along the waterfront from the Sandy Beach picnic area. This cache is well laden with swaps. Took dice and and left travel bug.
Have very fond memories of Chain Valley Bay when I was a little younger and sailed around the lake in my little yacht.
Thanks for a great cache.

Found at 10.05m GAFF1. We were camped right across this arm of the lake, so if we had a boat we could have been here in 3 minutes rather than the 16.5km drive and 1km walk! However we did enjoy the walk through sections of rainforest and also seeing those huge properties - why are they so big?
We could hear the power station humming - just like we can at our camp (grumble, grumble)
Thanks Calypso62.

We needed something to do today after the Morriset show, so we figured we'd nab a couple of cache's out on this peninsula into the lake, one more of the incredible differnt sides Lake Macquarie has to offer. Thanks for the nice walk Calypso.
Took rubber ball, left Our Air Force bracelet and Cache Wars TB.

adding extra log entry - geocaching app on the iphone doesn't let you mark that you've picked up or dropped off TB's
Dropped off Pirate Pete he was meant to visit Nowra this weekend, but we couldn't find a single stroller-accessible cache that wasn't a tic-tac box!?!? Not sure what the fascination people have with caches that aren't even big enough to fit a pencil in? ahh well, he's done a LOT of travelling this last month, just didn't end up very far from his starting point!

I took option 2 for the track in thinking it would be a little shorter, but it proved to be about 250 - 300m longer haha
Got there in the end and thought it was a perfect place to drop a travel bug I had... realising I'd left said TB in the car so had to scrap that idea.

After a very pleasant walk along the lake edge, this cache was found woithout too much difficulty.
It is in an obvious location, but well hidden. Would have been easier to find if I had been wearing my glasses!
Took TB, left ball, finger massager, glue sticks.

Last one for the day. Two ways in - I chose the second one through the trees etc. Nice walk in the bush. Location is quite delightful - very scenic for those so inclined to view the surroundings. TN, Left TB Sgt Pepper (& wish him well on his way north to QLD). TFTC ---- PS loved the container Calypso62 - thinking of producing them "en masse" ??????

We were up near there only a week ago but forgot to check for recent hides. Anyway it is a really nice area so a second visit was in order. With a picnic lunch from the local bakery and coffee from the newsagency (excellent) we parked in a lovely little park and watched the still water which only last week had large waves from the westerlies. We enjoyed the walk so much that a GPS check showed we had gone 250m too far and had to backtrack but the cache was soon found and logged. Took a TB and screwdriver, left a TB and bottle opener. Thanks Calypso62 for getting us up to this great area again.
I didn"t think we would get FTF on this cache. Had notice it had been out for a while but i had been on twelve hour day work and hadn't had the chance to check it out. Day off today, grabbed the geokids and geodog and headed out hoping to get a FTF. BINGO! we found it and got a FTF. took rubix cube and tape measure, left travel bug heart.
