Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

Well; that's was interesting... after nearly breaking our necks (LOL) we where sadly unsuccessful even with the hint but did pick up some resources that where handy around a camp fire on the way back- hopefully this cache will become more accessible to myself and my fellow geobuddies soon. :)
6340 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 0900. Parked near the shop in the shade and determined the point of trek. Walked straight up and across the barbed wire fence, into the long grass that was in places shoulder high. With a little navigating through the paddock up hill gz was found. After searching for many minutes baby was just about to give this a miss, noticed something in the long dry grass that arose suspicion. Well after more then 18 months of being unloved our stamp is in the log sheet. The container has not weathered well and has holes and cracks in the container. The log book is very damp and the goods in the container have suffered the ravages of time. Our apologies for not performing maintenance this morning. When you are buggered from pushing through long grass for the nearly 20 minutes that it took just to get there, the last thing you think about is repairs. SL Tnx dbrown64
Thongs and shorts not a good plan for this one... I'll be back to get it another day
A quick find whilst passing through on the way to Gladstone. Definitely a good view. Tftc
Day 5 of my 2015 cache holiday and found 29 for the day with some walking involved but only drove 345 K's today. Did not plan on going into Rockhampton at all but I started looking at what I had inn my caching plan for today and just knew I would not make Biloela so started looking for motel accommodation but with a choice of Mt Morgan or Rocky due to the distance to each Rocky won out.
#11 of 29 not in any particular order and definitely not in order found.
Drove past the site and turned off the highway. Found a safe place to park and started my walk up the hill. Found a trail of sorts and followed it to the top. Quick find once up there. Watch out for the hidden rocks. Found an even better track back down. All good with this one. TFTC and the view dbrown64

classic hunt. kids and I loved it where to we go dad? well I see some tracks lets go
thanks for the hunt
thanks for the hunt
We chose the power-station side rather than the Store side. Glad we did as there was a lot of lantana at the top befond the cache. Tall sharp grass above and hidden large rocks below made this a treacherous climb. Got a few scratches and grass itches. Found at 3.00 pm on 31st May 2015. TFTC.
Parked the car near the shop & went up from the eastern side. Saw the stacks from the top & found the cache. Went down the western side, which was much easier. TFTC
Grass just over knee height and patchy. Found quickly once GZ was established. Feet where soaked from early morning dew.
Slightly better view of the power station, approached from the west of the cache tftc
Left the caravan at Westwood, and did a day run into Rockhampton.
Parked nearby, and walked up a rough path.
Searched around for a while, before finding the well hidden cache.
Many thanks for placing this cache, dbrown64, for us and others to find.

My Geodog Coco and I decided today was the day for this one. Have been past so many times, looked at the grass..... Well this time we approached from a different angle...... Still lots of grass but no hard climb. With Geodog clearing out all the suspect badies in front I had a casual walk to the cache knowing that my world was safe and secure. Found quickly, signed and returned to its hiding place. TNLN TFTC
Found the site, but was all clean, didn't feel like putting on long pants and gaiters for this one.. No courage or effort at all! Looked like a good spot too, oh, well.
Found it easily with KristineFalla, charlieashton2 and crfrob on a trip to Rockhampton. KristineFalla and I are flying to Brisbane to continue our journey. KristineFalla and I are "down under" for three weeks, so we had to do some caching every now and then. TFTC! Greetings from Norway!
Here from Canada, doing a bit of caching as we explore Australia....
Almost gave this one a pass because of the long grass. Sure glad we didn't, the powerful sight was worth the trek thru the long grass. Would not have known it was here.
Thanks for showing us dbrown64!

9416 kms travelled in 21 days, one awesome eclipse observed near Mt Carbine in Northern Queensland and 712 cache finds, including a small handle of FTF's.
This was a trip I'd been planning for over 12 months with the main reason being to observe the solar eclipse on the morning of the 14th of November. I had decided to drive to Palm Cove and back, where my penthouse accommodation was located, while the rest of the family flew up and back. I love the drive and the unknown adventures that lay ahead; and I even think the last time I did one this big may have been for the previous eclipse in Australia which occurred over SA.
Apart from the great experiences, awesome scenery, and the characters met, the other reason to drive was to also do some serious caching, with the plan to stop at some power trails along the way including the Fruit Run and A.S. series near Stanthorpe on the way up and the Mid North Coast Wander series, just out of Port Macquarie, on the way back.
I had five days to travel each way with ten days in between spent in Palm Cove holidaying with my family. My route up took me from Melbourne to Tocumwal and up to Glenn Innes, through Toowoomba, Rockhampton and the coast road to Cairns while my route back was a bit more erratic. Heading from Cairns to Townsville then via Charters Towers to Rockhampton. From here it was through the amazing mining region to Roma then across to Dalby down through Stanthorpe (again) to Armidale, Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga, Tocumwal and then home - phew.
After staying the night in Goomeri I cached my way along the Leichhardt Hwy to the Capricorn Hwy and in to Rockhampton where I arrived around 7:30 pm and stayed the night in some proper accommodation (as opposed to the back on the Prado).
I spent an hour here before finding the cache - and during the dead of night I think made the whole thing just that more difficult. I'd parked the Prado and fought my way through head high grass and bushes to GZ. At GZ the GPS was having trouble locking onto a spot so I was wandering about but in the same local area. I eventually found the cache in a spot I had checked earlier but it was a lot deeper down than I had expected. Great night views of the plant and passing traffic - now to make my way back. A favourite for me for the whole experience. Thanks.

Almost got lost in the grass but an easy find for geo bf as he sat waiting at the top laughing
Found on international geocaching day 2012.There was a nice easy T2 trail leading almost all the way and very little long grass starting from near school road 120 meters to the north west. No snakes though I was surprised at that. Cache in fine condition. Found with geodaughter.
A gorgeous day to be out caching. A great way to have a look around Rockhampton and surrounds. Bruce disappeared into the long grass but came back with a smile.
Thanks to dbrown64.

1078. After seeing how long since the last time tis was logged I was suspicious as to whether it was still ere , when I arrived I saw the grass taller than I , read the previous log saying snake skin found Ahhh, in the back of the camper for the gum boots ( That iI bought with me this trip to do the cache "Slightly Annoying".
off and up through the grass I couldn't see over, Garmin said it was here and there it was Dry - I signed log, then stood on a pile of rocks to see the view, back down through the grass to the geomobile , No snakes sighted and another cache logged - a good experience!

the area is affected by fire but the cache has survived nicely. Whilst looking I found a large snke skin which was a good reminder to be careful. Found the cache whilst returning to wagga from the Airlie Beach homeschooling conference.
First one for the day. The container survived the fire but Sid get a little bit deformed. TNLNSL
12 cache for the day 228 cache on my trip around aust

Sent dad up in the blackened area, thought he'd appreciate the view better. Quite a busy road out here, well busier than we thought. Despite the fire still looks untouched.
Found it No. 3825 ... there had been a fire there did not know if it was still there, but it was ... all good ... TNLN ... TFTC ... dbrown64
Terrain 4 - I love it. Makes up for all the terrain 2's I've done that should have been higer

As we drove past GZ on our way to Mt Hay we figured we'd never be able to get this one because of the extensive roadworks. On our return we pulled over as the vehicles around us stopped and J leapt out and scaled the mountain. Back to the geomobile and back into the next queue. TNLN TFTC
4th for the day.. very overgrown site but found with a bit of a search.. left key chain took nothing
This one hadn't been done for a while. Climbed up the hill in the long grass, and then had quite a hunt around the rocks before finding it. Cheers Gav [8446]
GZ was quite overgrown, which mad for difficulty accessing and searching!
Still, we eventually came up with the goods! TFTC

Couldn't do this one! We didn't want to risk the camper trailor getting stuck. Next time!
shockingly powerful sight. We found it on our way to Rockhampton. T4TC! And greetings from Switzerland!
Did a tour of the area while I decide on a plan of attack and appear to have found the best one. Once at GZ the cache was a quick find and I could see the power station.
Got out of the car and there was an old bloke and a kid in the house on the corner, they were watching and asked if we were looking for something we said we were and the kid said he knew what we were looking for so we knew we were in the right spot, now all we had to do was climb in the long grass to find the cache.

Like the previous person, I was shorter than the height of the grass, but an extremely accurate reading and it was an easy find.

Very pleased that the coordinates for this one were spot on as with grass this long it would have been an interesting search.

Saw this one come up last year but after my experience at " Hay . It's a Volcano " I wasn't going to rush out for a possible FTF !!!!
Many many thank's to Dooghan for clearing a path through the vegetation a few day's ago. I felt like Dr. Livingstone.!! Fortunately Dooghan's attempt to re-stand the guinea grass at GZ didn't fool the keen eyes of Temingi and the cache was quickly in hand. Great view of the powerplant.First find on our way south to N S W.

What an adventure to find and to get to the cache. I stand at 6 foot 7 inches and the guinea grass was well over my head. I needed a slasher to cut a path for me. Next came the fun of trying to find the cache in all this grass. After 10 mins I had it in my hand. TNLNSL. I think the terrain rating for this cache is a bit high. I would give it a 2

On a drive from Rocky to Emerald stopped by to do a spot of caching. Thanks I think this is the easiest difficulty 4 I have done.
Well not quite an FTF. Seems that moura scouts claimed that prize on the 16th, couriously before published. Hummmm...

I saw this one come up on the daily emails. So I thought I would give the FTF a go. A special 3 hr round trip on the bike, and in the opressive heat, all for nought. I was rather disappointed to find that FTF went, according to the dates on the logbook, more than a month ago. Even more disappointing is the fact I will be heading past this way on my way home in 2 days time.
Ahh well, I will know not to try for one next time.
