Made the mistake of not checking previous logs before visiting - please archive.

07-May-14
2 Visits without finding from me and many other DNF's on the page. no contact by CO on the cache page. Suggest time to archive as this would be a great location for another hide.

First cache of the night with Aberosenstingel. Only a cursory look. Saw the log history and decided not to waste time here.

15-Feb-14
Old logs indicate that this one is long gone. didn't read the logs until already at gZ, so wasted no time in leaving.

15-Feb-14
The CO had better check on this one.

11-Feb-14
Spent a long time here searching in all directions from GZ. Considering the earlier 'easy finds' and the recent DNFs, I think it is gone. As the owner is no longer active and all his other caches are either needing maintenance or archived, I think this one should be archived unless a previous finder can check and find otherwise.

I rarely get out to these western suburbs. With an event nearby today, I travelled west a little early to pick up a few caches. The drive down Pullenvale RD bought back memories of an early romance Smile. Never knew this bush reserve was here. No luck finding the cache, today and Bette didn't help me at all.

Thanks for the cache, CC's and M&M's.

Woo hoo, a day off!

I decided and afternoon trip to look for some close by caches would be just the thing. This was the first on my list and the walk to GZ was a lot easier than I thought it might be. The smells from the hot vegetation in the afternoon were great.

At GZ with the clue playing in my head I had a look where I expected to find a cache and... hmm no luck. Looking again and further afield, still no luck.

Ah well, must be all the sunlight making me cache blind.

Thanks CC's and M&M's

I found this geocache using the Geocaching Intro App. TFTC!

Wondered along the path , back and for . Pretty litle walk in the park. Nearly gave up and then suddenly I had it in hand! Not sure about the coordinates though. I certainly found the clue obscure - I'll have to go away and think about it! TFTC CCs, MMs

Lovely walk in the bush, great hint as well.

Easy cach. Added a few more treasures. Enjoy.

On the way home from the city and daughter who I was staying with had never been to this park, so we decided to have a look and grab a cache on my last day before going home to Adelaide. Arrived at the carpark and after looking at the hint proceeded to walk towards GZ. An easy find at GZ with hint resonating in our heads. Big Grin Retrieved cache, signed log and replaced in its hidey hole, then continued along the path experiencing this great piece of bushland. [^][^] Thanks for the cache CC's and M&M's. Smile

Lovely walk, never knew this existed and drove past the entrance to the park twice before I found it. Got the reference to the clue once I got to GZ, had a small search then had the cache in hand. Birds chirping, sun shining, sound of the stream flowing, beautiful.

12-Apr-13
Really enjoyed this little walk. Found the geocache quickly with a bit of guess work as my gps had it much further away. The river was flowing nicely from all the rain. Will be back again.

Thanks

Thank you

This one took a lot longer than it should have! We both came here at night a few weeks back but missed the path and ended up wondering in the dark. Today at least it was light but GPS way off. Then a relook over old ground and it was in hand. Still not sure of clue - will have to look up her filmography Smile

Our first geocache find. The kids loved the hunt. TFTC.

This one has been around for a while but somehow we've never found the time to get out here. We weren't sure where the best access for this one but took the safe option which meant a bit more of a walk. We were somewhat surprised to see a boardwalk along the creek - pity the area has become a bit overgrown in places. At GZ we poked around briefly before coming up with the prize. We left pondering the relevance of the hint. TFTC.

What a great little part of Brisbane that we probably would not have found if we weren't Geocaching.

After a walk along the path we were soon in the vicinity of GZ, iphone and GPS had us slightly out from the hide.

Not being a Bette Midler fan meant we took a lot longer than we should have in finding this one - then a lightbulb went off in geomuumy' head which lead us to the cache - we signed the log quickly before the muggles returned that passed us earlier.

Thanks CC's and M&M's for bring us to this area. The cache and log are all OK.

I am house sitting just down the road. Smile
So i went for a walk to find this one. Such a great pocket of bushland with a little creek running through it. Big Grin
I arrived at GZ and went the wrong way Sad Finally after quite a bit of searching I came back to the start and went the other way and quickly found the cache Smile
The cache is dry and I had to chase out the spiders living in the cache before signing the log book. It is all dry and well with the cache. Thanks for the cache and the walk.

06-May-12
This is our second cache find and is just down the road from where we live! Good one! Smile

What a lovely spot to visit and enjoy the walk and wildlife.

It didn't take long to locate the cache. TFTC.

Thanks to Captain Terror for setting us straight on this one. Turns out we found a travelling cache last week which I could describe as iGNOMinious. Returned to the scene today to find the "real" cache which was indeed well hidden, but there's only so many places Bette Midler would be, so do persist. Cache was dry and all good. Abducted my new best friend to be cleaned up and given a new home.

06-Aug-11
We're claiming the find but are very puzzled about it, because the cache we found is not (in hindsight) the same as that in the picture in an earlier log. Surprised Ours was in the right place to match the clue (good one for film buffs) but wouldn't be able to hold trackables of any reasonable size. Not sure what to make of it, but we signed the log anyway. I also copped yet another splinter for my troubles. [B)] Our coords were quite off, but I'd expect that with our iPhone under trees on an overcast day in this area. Would be good to know if we found the 'real' Parklife or just a (12 inch high) imposter!

Lovelly walk - but no luck … maybe if I could understand the hint… but I am a complete novice. I'll be back for this.

13-Jun-11
Combined it with a bike tour together with Schatz and our little helpers.

If we would have seen the pathway before we locked the bikes at the bridge, we would be there much faster.

Box is wet inside and dirty. We cleaned it a little bit.

No trade, TFTC

Together with Raudi2807. He was in charge for the navigation, my task it to find it.

The real challenge was driving home on Pullenvale's precipitous roads with a bicycle.

Was a great fun for the whole family, thx

Ghostgums and I must have missed the previous finder by a matter of minutes... Surprised We had been meandering through the national park all morning, hunting caches from as far afield as Mt Coot-tha... We had done enough hill climbs to last a little while so it was time to take in a more casual cache... Wink

On arrival I went one side and Ghostgums took the other. As is typical with me, my 50/50 chance had failed me and I was cacheless. Meanwhile, Ghostgums had found what we were after... Red Face A quick log signing and we were heading back from whence we came... A nice little pocket of bush through here that we would not otherwise have found... [^]

Cache is all well and log nice and dry...

Cheers CC's and M&M's

Found 12:15pm with hubby. His first find, not mine Smile TFTC

A nice little walk to GZ and we came upon a likley hiding area. A quick search revealed the cache. There is always something, though subtle, about the placement of some natural items. Cache was in good order.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga 2 at 3:52pm. It was a short walk from the car along an easy track to GZ; and the find was not too difficult. TFTC

Great park first solo geocache kids loved it took nothing left nothing signed log

27-Mar-11
This is such a lovely area! So peaceful and away from all the awful city smells. We really enjoyed our stroll through the area although Pagan was feeling a bit under the weather which put a dampener on the day. Thanks CC's and M&M's

27-Mar-11
Lokipagan and I enjoyed the trot in on this one. Poor old Mr Pagan was feeling a bit poorly but still managed to make it to GZ. We found the cache after a small hunt. The cache was wet - but the log was only slighly damp and very usable. A very beautiful area. TFTC CC's and M&M's Smile

What a spot! Took the trackable. 0600hrs 27/02/11

Dropped by this park again after work nearby (like I do every work day on the way home). Had heard that the area flooded quite severely just recently. Checked on cache, and was still where it should be. Dropped in a TB for good measure.

02-Dec-10
Stopped here as I was visiting a friend nearby. Walked to GZ in a storm and got completely wet through. A quick find, sign and return to car. I would like to come back here on a better today to further explore this area. Thanks for the adventure and your cache.

20-Nov-10
Hi fairly new to this and already becoming very hooked. Precious Pete and Myself tried for ages yesterday to find it and were in the wrong area by at least a km haha. The clue however made it an easy one considering what we do as a hobby.... (no spoiling it). Left some items that would be handy for somebody in the same industry as the clue Wink. Didnt take anything as there was only one other item there.

Nice easy find after reading previous logs.

21-Oct-10
Beautiful park area in a place I have not really been before. Searched for a while not sure about the clue. Coords were a bit off but the hide was found after a bit of a search. TFTC

02-Oct-10
Wandered off into some trees following the GPS but then decided that such ramblings couldn't be right. Ignoring coords, we found it pretty quick. The old cache name was still on the box, which gave us a bit of an insight. See papadavid's log for updated coords.

02-Oct-10
We spent a few minutes looking in the wrong place and then realised that we were making it too difficult for ourselves. We took a fresh look and Chimpa found it fairly quickly.

Coordinates may be slightly off. We found it at S27 31.408 E152 53.419

16-Sep-10
Nice relaxing stroll after a hard days work on a farm. Found the cache using common sense more than GPS and soon headed back to the car for a bite to eat in this great little park. TFTC

15-Sep-10
Unfortunately couldn't find it
Regards from Switzerland

10-Sep-10
Nice spot. Cache container was open and had not one but two fairly largish spiders residing in it [:o]. After managing to move them along, I realized that I didn't have a pencil on me. Dang! At least the car wasn't too far away. Despite being open, cache in good order. I made sure it was sealed before replacing. TFTC!

[Found after work, took me a bit, but nice hide! Took pin, left dinosaur. Thanks!

Possible spoiler alert:] For the sake of protecting the environment around the path, it should be noted that you don't need to deviate very far.

07-Jul-10
Couldn't find even with army of kids.

05-Jul-10
Frustrating. With six kids we still couldn't find it.

05-Jul-10
Found it No. 2832 ... I sang the song whilst looking for it ... TNLN

Took the long way on this cache, thought the bush ,only to find a nice walk way to get back to the car.Found the cache with the help of the clue ,didn't need the GPS for this one

08-May-10
Needed lots of help, but finally successful. This is a lovely forest of local native vegetation, maintained by a bushcare group with support from Brisbane City Council. If you come searching on the 1st Sunday of the month, you can join in with pulling weeds or planting trees, and be rewarded with morning tea afterwards.

25-Apr-10
Our first Geocahe experience. GPS ran out of batteries, got lost scrub, dog did a runner, and we were covered in far to many bush creepy crawlies. Didn't find Geocache Sad The only way is up from here. Lucky it wasn't raining.

24-Jan-10
What an unpleasantly hot day to be out caching. There was no breeze at all at GZ. The only sounds were the neighbours up the hill. Saw and heard no animals at all. Found the cache quickly and grabbed the "Amber's Energy" geocoin.

04-Jan-10
Wow it's places like this that make me glad I live in Brissie [^]. What a lovely part of our green city. On the drive to GZ I saw a finch (I think!) and a few kookaburra's were laughing at me as I started my hunt. In: Amber's Energy GC, Out: Baden Powell TB.

Confidence is a preference for the habitual cacher of what is known as parklife.
And morning soup can be avoided if you take a route straight to what is known as parklife Smile

All the people,
so many people,
they all go hand in hand,
hand in hand through their parklife Smile

Know what I mean ?
So while the people wandered through their parklife, I waited patiently at GZ for them to wander far enough away so I could grab the Park Life cache Big Grin
A noice easy find in a noice place that I didn't know about [^]

TFTC with a song in me 'ead, I took the Oregon, Beaver State TB and left the Back to Gilwell! TB.

Woo Hoo, my first FTF found with Gib96 all thanks to a call from Gunnie69 to alert us of the posting. Upon the call, geoson and I (at home on pupil free day) leaped into action to claim the find, the pressure was on as the posting was up a couple of hours already but we had to have it Smile TFTC TN, left Beaver TB for the next to find.
