Since the cache is probably gone, I hope some photos will be enough to proof a visit of this nice outdoor museum. Too bad the museum is not well maintained...
TFTC!
TFTC!
This cache is probably gone since the hint is very precise and it has not been found several times now.
Despite a long search of the entire side furthest away from the road, found nothing.
Found exactly as described and then stayed to sit on the grass to enjoy our lunch in the shade of the trees. Thanks WanAus
Nice quick find by Mister Little Squirell on a lovely morning in
Port Hedland. Great relics in this park.
Thanks for placing a cheeky little cache for us to find.

Brief visit to PH for work, was dependant upon two muggle friends for transport; so thank you for quick easy find.
Found it but it took a few minutes a nice hide .All is good with the cache on a road trip from Tassie TFTC
We missed this one on our visit here 4 years ago, and have distinct memories of looking on other items a short distance away from where we looked today. Lets hope the cache has been updated since that time or we were way off!
With very clear instructions on the descriptions we headed off to rectify that DNF from the past. Got the right item this time but I was looking in the wrong place at the right end near the wrong hoses! Mrs SKI however was following the instructions sequentially and to the letter so walked straight up and found it.

A nice quick find on our travels home after an amazing 5 week adventure in the Kimberly. TFTC
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, and replaced the log book. The two pencils and sharpener are still in the cache, so it should be good to go for another 8 years or so.
Not too hard to find even in the dark. A short walk from my accommodation. Interesting old trains here. Thanks for placing this one.
Found this cache during a sabbatical but forgot to log this cache.

Tftc This my first cache. Nice easy cache for my first. Thankyou. In company with falcor26
After re-reading the description, I managed to find this. Found on a trip up to the Pilbara. TFTC
Long rea h for a short girl, found while staying in Port Hedland Blackrock caravan park
Passing through Port Hedland on our way from Sandfire Roadhouse. We are also travelling and looking for a spare part but we are on a schedule because we need to make it to Canberra by Sunday. A quick stop for shopping and getting a smiley from this town. Thanks
pug002 found it 11/8/2017 on our trip to the Pilbara geocaching. TFTC and an interesting place Wnadering Aus met a lovely local had a great chat with him. Very interesting man who drives the train.
Found at 11:14:00 AM. Just staying one night in Port Hedland and grabbing a few caches during our visit.
Thanks WanderingAus.
Thanks WanderingAus.
I was also confused as to the description of the rear and hoses. I showed a few train drivers a pic of the loco and they agreed with my assessment of what I believed the rear end of the train is. Guess my advice would be to follow the gps and try not to try and figure out what are pipes vs hoses as it seems opinions vary. I still enjoyed the cache although I had to enter the fence to find it. My arms were way to short to do it from the outside. Clever hide and interesting place to visit TFTC
My 2nd find in the Pilbara, info quite confusing for anyone unfamiliar with rail terms even tho I had a local train driver with me.
We were driving past and it seemed such a logical place for a cache. Sure enough we had a look on the geocache app and there it was
After camping at De Gray River free camp last night we were heading to Dampier caching along the aim and thought that we would drop into Port Headland to see how it has changed since our last visit.
We pulled up here and saw what we needed to do and went "Oh Bugger", we don't always have a lot of luck with these sort of hides. We hunted around outside the fence prodding everywhere we could reach with no luck and then like others used the gate to go inside and after a little bit of a search we located the cache, obviously in a different place to where you placed it as even with Mr Crackers long arms there was no way it could be reached from the outside so after adding our name to the log we returned it to a place a little closer to the fence but in the same location.
Thanks Wandering us for the cache and for showing us this great little area.

Found today while exploring Port Hedland. Enjoyed looking at those historic machines.

I had to go into Port Hedland today, so I picked up some of the local caches while I was in the vicinity. I got this one at 12:10 this afternoon, although I believe that might be the FRONT of the loco, not the rear, cab end, anyway. TNLNSL TFTC WanderingAus
This is my first time doing this. I travel all around Australia every month with work, and will enjoy finding new places. Found it fairly easily
Had some sorting out to do first, as not being familiar with these sorts of trains we needed to work out which end was which and what were hoses and what were pipes. It was also easier to use the gate in the fence and get closer to the hiding place. The cache was found and brought to light before signing the log and then replacing it. Thanks to WanderingAus for showing us this train as well as the others and all the equipment on display.
Day six of Barnzy12 and Cravo10 adventure to the Northwest of WA, filling out boots with LGAs, rare DT, old caches, and good old fashioned red dirt!
Today we travelled from Karratha to Port Hedland via Cossack, Roebourne, Whim Creek, south hedland and various other detours along the way.
We started the day retracing our steps from the night before going out to Roebourne before turning off to Cossack to complete the three awesome multis out that way and a few other caches before turning back to Roebourne to continue towards Hedland.
We continued along the highway collecting all bar one of the smileys along the way, which was a DNF and one was unable to be reached in our 4wd. We pulled into whim creek, just to check out the pub, ended up having a beer whilst there, and a quick game of pool, we even had a national celebrity turn up in the form of Pauline Hanson and her entourage who had stopped in to get a drink and pose for photos with locals, which was most surprising.
We continued into Port Hedland and really hit our straps here collecting urban cache after urban cache making up bucket loads of time that we lost with one cacher enjoying a snooze in this morning!
Huge day again with 25 plus caches reeled in and another LGA picked up along with some older caches too! Thanks to the local COs we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly today!

In port today off cruise ship Radiance of the Seas. Very hot today but that doesn't bother us, we like it. Many passengers did not venture out (wimps). This was the only cache reasonbly close to the HoHo, (Hop on Hop off) bus route to the nearby shopping centre.
Every one we met today was very friendly which made for a pleasant visit.
We arrived at GZ to find a fence around the loco however some of the fence rails were missing and the gate was unlocked so access was easy for a quick find. Took the container to the nearby shaded tables to do the signing and take some TB pics. No muggles about today so all was good. Thanks WanderingAus

Another smiley added here today on a 5 week Pilbara and Kimberley break, a nice quick find here but requires the length of hubbies arm for retrieval TFTC
Nice cach.worked mount newman mining in rail for 10 years.even on some goldsworthy trains. Note as loco is a bit rusty .touched cach fell on ground.has eight magnets attached. Luck would have it some locals have removed part of fence.replaced in same location .T4HC.
A quick find with the aid of the hint. The cache had slipped slightly and was partly visible (though not when I left it . SL. A great place for a cache and some memories for me. Thanks to Keith (Wandering Aus) for the cache.
I didn't have long enough arms but fortunately there's a break in the fence.
Found this cache while out and about exploring Port Hedland - an interesting place to visit ... Thanks Wan Aus 4TC:)
A quick find, I was here 5 years ago with Wazza9, before I was caching. Thanks to WanderingAus.
TFTC called into Port Hedland for breakfast on our way south. Quick find with husbands help
