Zurck fuhren wir mit dem historischen Kuranda Scenic Train wieder nach Cairns. Nach der Ankunft ging es hier auf Cachesuche und wir wurden fndig. Unsere Namen stehen nun im Logbuch. Just having a nice slow day with ilook4geo. Some caching was included, but we had a few other things we needed to do as well. This cache was a quick find as the hint was very specific and all was done to keep everything in order. The container was replaced as found and we wandered off to make the next find. 7 July 2024 10:24amContinuing on foot today, I ended up here. This was a bit of a puzzle for me. I found the rough location easy enough, then it took a bit of squirming to get closer. I eventually squished in the bushes and searched on the ground and in the location suggested by the hint but I couldn't find anything even remotely resembling a cache.I suspect that the cache is missing, but I don't want to be an out-of-towner running around in an area she doesn't know claiming 'needs maintenance'. If the CO or a local is able to check and maintain, it might be worth a quick check.

Visiting Cairns for a conference and needing one for the date. The one closer to the convention centre is nowhere to be found. Like others this one lacks a lid, but is still dry. Ive written in a gap where someone elses log has faded. TFTC

Love it, no lid, just sitting there dry as anything. Impressive given the overnight rain.It has always fascinated me and has been a huge desire to visit Cape York and, of course, the tip. Having arrived in Cairns late last night, today was a day of some local caching and pick-up supplies before heading of tomorrow north to set off on an amazing adventure, Cairns to the tip of Cape York. A nice morning exploring Cairns, the coastal scenery backdropped by mountains, and of course the lovely warm weather.

Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna.To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well.This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences.
