great stop for a tourist from Aus. Found the new pole.

Sorry, a new baby + calving time means we haven't got time to go out and replace this one, so will archive.

Has this one been checked or replaced? Looking at doing a caching mission out this way next weekend and would love to get this smiley. Please let me know. Cheers

Think this one is gone - new pole and flax cut back Still it was a nice place to stop for lunch and we enjoyed the views.

Try to find the cache but no luck. I think some days ago the electricity company dig a new post in. The ground around the post looks really fresh. I think the cache is gone....

A few muggles around but no worries with this placement. Thought I knew where it would be but checked the clue before committing myself to the spikey eye pokey danger. Not too hard in the end and some great views along the coast from the lookout.

Our forth stop on our trip between Te Anau and Dunedin. No problem finding this one but the rain and wind made this a very short stop.

A shared find with my Aussie caching mates Winglen, Zsazsa7, Sol de Lune and Fitzy-1965 as a part of the NZMEGA2012 experience and our subsequent tour.

Another great view of a wild and remote beach. The southern scenic route lives up to its name. Thanks kryshan for another great cache location.

5681 + 591 = 6272. Day 6 of my week long visit to the New Zealand South Island for the NZ Mega 2012 event along with Sol de Lune, Zsazsa7, Winglen and RexTrex.

Today we drove from Invercargill to Te Anau - a stunning drive firstly along the coast and then up through some beautiful country until we arrived at the gateway to Milford Sound. After leaving Riverton we continued our drive in awe of the views and scenes. A quick stop for this find - and a last look at this amazing coastline !!

Today we were off to Te Anau, after having a lunch stop at Riverton, we continued our way along the road. This was a quick stop and grab before moving onto the next one. Enjoyed all the caches we grabbed as we checked out the scenery and the views.

The cache was found after a quick search, no problems with it.

Found with ZsaZsa7, Winglen, fitzy_1965 and Rextrex (local NZer) on our trip around the South Is after attending the New Zealand Mega. We managed to grab a few caches on travels and this was just one of them.

Thanks for the cache and the chance to see more of the South island.

Went for a nice caching tour in New Zealand. Starting from MEGA going southbound the scenic route to Queenstown. We like caching in the woods. The weather was nice, sometimes rainy, sometimes sunshine. Thanks for all the nice caches.

Lovely lookout. I would have loved to spend time beachcombing on the beach. Looks like there was lots of interesting bits and pieces washed up all along here. Spectacular coastline.

A lovely viewpoint and we were chuffed to see some whales - joined the locals who lent us their binoculars Once they'd all left, a quick find.

You don't realise how popular a spot is until you wait for a quiet moment to find a cache,
Cars kept coming and going and 1 car decided to have lunch almost next to GZ.
We decided to wait them out, by having lunch ourselves.
Limited view due to the low cloud and pouring rain.
Grabbed a TB for our troubles

11.45am. Great scenic site. The waves coming into the bay could only be described as regal. Many muggles but all were too busy looking at the view.

There we spent 6 weeks in NZ on bicycles. Nice trip thru both islands, interesting nature, wildlife, people, campsites, geocaching, etc... I'd like come back sometime...
