A quick stop here
And after finding the decoy
(What is the point of decoys ??
Unless they are featured as an element of an Unknown Cache ??)
I set about trying to find the real cache.
Which like others before me,
I couldn't
I'll cop a DNF on the chinn for the team

Went for a drive on a lovely afternoon to get this easy drive by. Well when we got there we looked in the most obvious and not places, found the one that it isn't but couldn't find the right one. Upon consultation with geo daughter who has found this one before (Psyco_scissors) I confirmed I was looking in the right spot. Not sure what has happened here, but its not where it should be.
Looked in the usual spots but no prize

Haha very clever Jimmymaff, you had one of us fooled (yes me) while the other one located the cache and wondered what on earth I was doing! Last cache find on our short break away. Time to head for home. SL Thanks for putting a cache out here.
Picked this one up on the way home from the wooden boat festival in Paynesville. TFTC
Geokid spotted this one almost instantly. Sharpened the pencil. Took 5 cents, left brooch. TFTC.
Out with gwd.aussie enjoying the day off with a bit of caching. Although gwd.aussie has previously logged I thought I would pick up a couple of the caches along the back road.
A quick park and grab.
Thanks Jimmymaff.

Yes we did "cop it on the chinn"! As we pulled up, there was a man just about to get into his car. Thought it might be a chance to meet a fellow cacher, but he was conducting a survey of the water! That was his story anyway. Sounded more plausible than ours - that we just wanted a better look at the water! TFTC
Nice easy drive by on a rather chilly day thanks for the hunt found with Misschief18 and Taurus1955.
Found it with ease and miss 6 geo found the second after we found the right one love ur work jimmymaff we were excited to find one of urs this far away

Found on a very windy day on our way to the Gippsland lakes. Enjoyed the ruse in the obvious cache location
Had to laugh at the face as the Geoteen copped it on the chin but in true boxer fashion he got up again and continued the fight. TN left cow TFTC Jimmy it was the last one for the day for us after a great long weekend away
Found on our "Making Memories" Tour of Mainland Australia.
Today we explored Bairnsdale and surrounding areas using geocaching as our guide.

Was in the area for the long weekend and stopped off here on our way to the start of the Marlay Point overnight race. Eldest daughter went to an obvious place first but then we were successful on the second try. Thanks Jimmymaff.
Had a great day caching and enjoying the outdoors as usual. Many kilometres put on the geoPatrol to add to the numbers. Now it is a waiting game for the next opportunity to get out again.
Many thanks Jimmymaff for placing this cache.

Heading home after a couple of days at Meerlieu, we were punching our way into the wind, so this was an appropriately named cache to give us a smilie and a bit of a laugh!

A guy & a girl - 13 Towns - 500 kms - 60 caches
September Stroll was born earlier in the week with an idea hatched to head in a loop towards Sale starting from Moe. Heading north up to Heyfield, across to Stratford then down to Sale before arriving home late, it was a magnificent spring day to enjoy East Gippsland.
Parking just beyond the cache, Trent was on a phone call, so Katy went back made the find, signed the log and came back making the statement it still counted on the score sheet!!
Thanks for the cache Jimmymaff!!!

Had to take 3 and a half tonne of floor tiles to a job in Lakes Entrance from Warragul, so I decided to grab some caches along the way. Sl thanks Jimmymaff for the cache.
Second attempt was easier found it straight away. Was not impressed by the enormous LIVE, very LARGE 8 legged guardian that was attached to the cache when I blindly pulled it out. TFTC
Loved it!!! Thank you. I found it in the obvious spot first. I found it in the less obvious spot next. TFTC. Thanks for the twist. Took "Chewbacca bean" left nothing as Geo supplies in other car- doh! Will drop a replacement off on next way past.
Another bright and sunny but cool winter's day. Dragons and bears out to grab a few caches around the local area and enjoy the fresh air. How many times have we driven past this one, saying to each other "there's a cache there"? This time we stopped. Considering how many times we drive this road, its about time this one was claimed. Exited geo-mobile, checked GPSr and said, bet it's there. It wasn't, but had a laugh anyway. Soon had the cache in hand. It is in good condition, and dry. It remained above water level last month. Looking at the debris on the nearby fence, not by that much though. Took pirate disk, Left starwars bean. SL. Replaced cache.
TFTC Jimmymaff.

What a fatastic hide. I was left scratching my head until I started to get splinters - lol. I needed my gloves to drag through all the debris from the flooding due to the recent inclement weather.
I thought that I was going to have to mark it as a DNF but low and behold!! There it was.
I am no dummy after all
I have to give this cache a favourite point

On the way to Marlay Point stopped and found this one & when we did my wife said "Cool". TFTC
The last cache I hunted today on my little detour heading home from Bairnsdale. Parked right near GZ and whilst walking there saw a cache, had a look in the other really obvious spot (which was the dummy!) so back to plan a and the cache was in hand! Thanks to poiter.h for this one.
I went for the most cachey spot first, only to find something else, very soon after i found the correct spot.

Found this one on a drive back from Bairnsdale to Korumburra on a quiet Friday afternoon. A nice cache! Got thrown at first as I'm sure everyone does, but finding the cache eventually was hard only because of the big (and very real) spider crawling over it! My reaction was to fling the cache into the fence, which did dislodge it Other than that, nice cache and nice clear log! TNLN TFTC
Replaced logbook and dried out the contents. Sorted out another issue also, wink wink. Happy Hunting
Sorry Jimmy, the cache was not a pleasant experience today, just wish we'd had a note book to replace the log book with, as it was too damp to write on, let alone pulling the pages apart without tearing the pages.
Found with Smart Sassy Siren. After a few stuff ups today, I have found that I have completed 200, though unfortunately in visiting this one, it was not as memorable as I had hoped.
Will contact the CO but the log book was absolutely saturated. Sorry Jimmy, but think you'll need to back out to this one mate.
TFTC TNLN Could not sign log too wet

Called in to check this one as there has been a lot of water go through here recently. Cache had been submerged but still ok, just a bit damp.

Our twentieth day of our honeymoon to New Zealand and Australia.
Yesterday evening we had some big scary moths in our camper van. After having a nice night of sleep we had breakfast. *Ba tried to build a bun healthy (in Dutch called broodje gezond). After doing the dishes we were ready to drive to Buchan, a very long drive of about 400 kilometers. The first cache of the day was a remembrance moment. As the hint was so clear Jo went along to the very very big tree. While being on the point to go inside (so big was the tree), she discovered a very big living animal and she screamed and start running back. Arriving back at the camper van she took the photo camera with her and Ba and had again a look to the Wombat. As he was being on the cache, we did not log that cache. The Co Pilot navigation system took us through the hills and wanted that we followed a gravel road. We tried but after several hundred of meters we turned around and followed the much longer way on asphalt. During our drive we were called by Apollo in the person of Heith if all problems were solved now. Now the heating problem is gone by itself but we still had no TV. So we were asked to drive to a shop in Sale to let it fix. After that we decided to look for a powered camper site which we found at number 33 Lake View Caravan Park at the Holland Landing close to Sale (50 km) and not to drive to Buchan. After a short walk along the lake we went back to the camper van to test the tv. Yes, finally it works. As a diner we will have tandoori wraps with chicken, Greek yogurt, cucumber and lettuce.
We found this cache today about 02.35 PM local time.
On our way to our camp site for the night we drove along this cache and we decided to make a short stop to have a look for this one. Of course, we found first the wrong container, but by looking a bit better we found the right log sheet and placed our name on it. We still do not understand the title of this cache.............

No mozzies today on my second attempt at this cache. Luckily Chaplain Mike had his handy extendable light so not too many spiders were disturbed. Unable to sign log as the logbook was saturated, the cache smelt and had mud inside it. Unfortunately we didn't have a cache repair kit with us.
Had to do a return visit due to ?another cacher at location. On second attempt I found the decoy but the mozzies defeated me on this one. Next time I won't go at twilight and I'll arm myself with Bushman's! lol Liddle NIff was sensible and stayed in the car!

Found at 5:15:40 PM GAFF1. Yep we took it on the chin and fell for the old one two trick. We saw where the cache was hidden when we arrived, but it looked yucky and spidery! So we went for the easier option.

Cache was still in place safe and sound after the floods. Minor maintenance completed so all's well. Happy Hunting
