Great bridge. I can imagine how there could be some opportunity for fun round here. Took me a minute to spot the cleverly hidden cache.
Thanks for bringing me here.
Thanks for bringing me here.
This one had us a bit worried as I thought some one was either going to perform some acrobatics or tackle the blackberries, luckily we searched the other side of the bridge, Thanks for the clever hide. SL TFTC

Heading to Ballarat for the 10 year event, stopped off for a quick find and log. Found the cache and log book very damp which was surprising for it's location.

Found by edmil & maddie. Maddie and I were spending the weekend in Daylseford after I had returned from working in Queensland. We took a drive up to Castlemaine and were returning via Clunes, a place we enjoy visiting. We had not intended to do any caching but I had just recently purchased the Hema navigator and had loaded the caches into OziExplorer. We noticed this cache on the map and stopped off to grab it. The Hema was spot on,it impressed me with its accuracy, The cache was in hand quickly and the log(although a bit damp) was signed. Thanks for the cache.
We started to look for this but reconsidered when we saw some gaps in the planking and felt quite a lot of flex in other parts. We would no longer describe this as 'child friendly, either, as there is a subsatantial part of the guard fencing missing on the north side of the structure.
2nd find in our morning of Australia Day Caching.
We thought the method of hiding this cache was very unique. Mum found it quite 'stressful' watching 3 children explore the bridge!

I had to travel through Clunes for work today and decided to stop off and revisit the cache.
It was easily accessible today thanks to some good maintenance from the owner.
A nice hide and a great old bridge.
The log book is also a little wet and i didn't have time to dry it out.

terrific location- please tread carefully though. not one for children as the bridge is in disrepair

Thanks to those who notified me that the cache had been disrupted. It has been restored to it's hidden location and measures taken to ensure that this shouldn't happen again. Happy hunting!
We saw the cache and there was NO WAY we were going to get it on a hot day like this.
Snakes and blackberries make a bad combination.
Maybe in the winter.
Thanks anyway for showing us the cool spot.

"Found" on a Clunes and beyond caching trip.
What are the "" for?? Because it unfortunatly wasn't where it was supposed to be and we could see it and I didn't want to wade to where the cache had settled.
All's well now thanks to owner.
And thanks for allowing us to log the cache. We will go past and sign the log book next time we're in the area.

Nice to get one close enough to home for a FTF. Went fishing myself with a mate here once. After a bit of a walk, we spotted a nice fish from a high bank and it was my turn to cast. As I made my way down through the thick scrub, aiming for a little rocky mound from which I had decided to launch an attack, I had the biggest tiger snake I've ever seen, (and I've seen plenty,) cruise across my path, half a metre in front of me and into the rock pile I was heading for. Needless to say, the trout stayed unmolested to swim another day. We don't go there now in summer.
It was great to see plenty of flowing water in the creek. It was pretty low last time I was there. Cute hide too. Had a good signal and was on the spot right away but it took a few minutes of searching to locate the cache. Many thanks for the hide and for the scratchie too. It paid for my fuel to get there and home again.
