Called past to scope this one out on a caching road trip to Rocky with Swellerfungus and SeffnJarah.
Water did not look very inviting (though I have swum in worse to get a cache) and we are on a tight schedule, so we left it for another day when we are better equipped.

All good here. Finally, after all this time, and living within 2 km or so, I get the opportunity to get this one. Out with the scouts doing some water activities.
Out canoeing with a group practicing capsizing. Quite a bit of rubbish on the island. Ducked up for a quick find just luckily looked in the right place. TFTC
After a lot of planning and exciting times with Zoeandcalin we set off to swim across the lake to find this one. Armed with a boogie board and water proof bag the brave plunged into the tropical warmth of Gladstones water ways.
The swim over was full of laughs and the cache was in once safely a shore.
Signed log and left calling card and trackable.

We came and we conquered! Met up with Pyxidium for a swim over to the elusive island in Lake Callemondah. Water was warm this time of year which helped us temporarily forget what may be lurking in the murky depths. Found the cache. Thanks for the laughs and the challenge.
Geoson and I decided today was the day we'd find out if our little toy boats would hold my weight so we could paddle over.....and it did!! So paddled over and found a ziplock bag with a fishing reel and a film canister - no log....hmm, not quite the spot so we thought we'd sticky beak around avoiding Miss Duck on her eggs. Found a camo'ed container along with a few other bottles and the 2 sleeping bags. Wallah!! Log book found. Now signed and returned in a nice easy spot that isn't in the middle of the camp and in the co-ordinate area. Disappointed we left the trackable at home as it would have fit nicely in here. If we get excited we might bring it out, it would be good to have some more paddling practice
Thanks Sentinel Maximum.
Thanks Sentinel Maximum.
Found last night. Bit hard to find in the dark but did get it eventually. Bit disappointed to find nothing but a new notepad and 2 pencils... I might make a second trip there some time soon when I find something valuable like a trackable TFTC
Hubby got a kayak for his birthday! What better way to try it out then a paddle over to the island!! Easy find once there! TFTC!! Even better still it was a winner for a birthday present! Signed the log! Cache in good condition! Great idea!
It is possible that it was dislocated with all the rain, I'll check it out as soon as I get the chance.
I finally got the chance to go for this one, easy location to find, but no cache. A phone call to a past finder confirmed I was in the correct location, but no sign of this easy to find cache. Not sure if the recent rains have washed it away, its not likely, but more likely is the kids who have camped within 10 metres of GZ having found it, and thrown it into the water. Can it be checked please.

Unloaded the trusty kayak for a quick trip . Forgot the insect repellant so this made it an extra quick trip !!! Local wildlife is assisting in the Camo. TNLN TFTC
Found with Avagomob & CamHelen
I had been wondering how I was going to get to this one,, What a great surprise it was when the phone rang this Morning and it was Mrs Avagomob inviting me on an attempt to find this Cache.
It was great being taken out to the Island, heck I didn't even have to paddle. Once at GZ the Cache had to be the easiest I have found. I think the local junior fisher muggles are going to stumble across it in the not to distant future.

As the canoe looked like the best option for this one it was decided to make a party of it and invite CamHelen and Tui65 along to make the effort worthwhile. Although we have come across some large caches in our travels this one would have to take the prize.

Had to make two trips to attempt this one. Knew where it was, but didnt realise how far I had to swim, so short trip down the road to buy some inflatable flotation. Second trip i set out on my inflatable foot for the FTF. when I arrived saw that some fishermen? were already there enjoying the serenity. Had a short chat about caching and swam back to shore. Second FTF in as many days. TFTC.

Dropped everything and took geomuppet to go find this one. Went for a muddy swim (hey, you would too for a FTF). Searched everywhere within 10m of GZ. Looks like theres been a few sets of feet here recently (muggles maybe). Don't want to log it as a DNF this time around, as I fear I may have got something wrong, perhaps the actual co-ords.
ok it should be easy to find once you are at there, i'll have a look in the morning.
yes, sorry, it had been dislodged. by sheer luck I spotted it 50 meters away from gz. will fix problem soon.
