No joy for me either today. As per the previous log I looked in the logical spot - to no avail
Great lookout though.

No luck for us either. Only time We've been here when there's been nobody else here, so had a good look around. Our thinking is it's been muggled...
Found it. Was very difficult to get out and when putting it back some muggles came in. Couldn't leave it half in half out so kept trying until done, hope they didn't muggle it. Left TB. TFTC
On arrival there was a muggle with his bike, and a girl with Guitar singing at the top of her voice at the top end of the carpark.
While neither were looking, the cache was easily grabbed and the log signed.
I also grabbed the two tb's to move along while I was at it.

About 20 motorbikes and 5 cars about....made it difficult to make the snatch.... but got it easily with right opportunity
Took some friends on a road trip and dropped in a trackable. Cache is still in good condition.
In the area to visit one of the mum`s of CATONY who lives at Barrington as well as attend the event at Gloucester on Sunday we headed out for a picnic at Carson`s Lookout on a warm & sunny day, we were rewarded with magnificient views for miles. The cache itself was indeed an easy find except for the muggles who constantly got in the way of both the retrieval & replacement, but we were there for a while so it was no problem.

Could just about smell it before I saw it. Took nothing, left a few stickers. Thanks nocomerino!
An amazing lookout. Had to wait until the many muggles moved on. A bit difficult to extract, but a quick find. TFTC
Someone has given the cache's home a bit of a bump making it just a little bit difficult extract it from its hiding place and even harder to put back. With two geograndsons "helping", being discrete with lots of muggles around was problematic. TNLN. Thanks for the cache, nocomerino.
For those interested in Trig Points, there is one 'very close' (100 m NE), and recently published, Koolkuna - TP6692
Found this cache at 2:45pm while on our first day of a five week trip heading north to Qld,travelling thru on The Thunderbolt Way. This was a magnificent lookout on a very clear day. There was some very long steep climbs up the meandering road, again with some beautiful views along the way.
Three TBs made a visit.
Thanks no comedian for the hide

The amount of times that I have stopped at this look out to stretch my legs, and there was a cache there the whole time.
Cheers.

Found on a long drive home from Armidale to Wollongong with Chip and Ding.
Strect the legs. Use the toilet. Find a cache. I think all three of us appreciated this stop!

Logically placed, but sometimes geocaching makes you stop and take in the view longer than expected, as we cooled off the car's engine while silently cursing muggles also enjoying the view; SL, TNLN, TFTC
On the way to Tamworth for Country Music Festival, staying with friends at Ogunbil, left TB, TFTC nocomerino!!
Stopped for a rest on my trip home. Did not have this in my GPS but figured there had to be one in the area. After a short search I found it. TFTC
Found as part of our post new year trip north from Newcastle to Warwick. The GPS took us straight to a spot that could of held the hide but after searching for some time nothing was found. We decide to expand the search area and came up with the find quickly this time. Thanks for the Cache.
Second find on our trip up north. Unfortunately a VERY thick fog so could not enjoy the view but interesting to read the history of the road. TFTC.
Found it on our round about tour. Have take geo coin and will be moving it north.wgt7qb
As always great view, storm was rolling in so only a real quick stop. Took TB
Stopped here while driving south during a huge storm. Found it while it was only sprinkling for a few minutes. Its an incredible view here when you can see it, was also here in the morning driving north but it was a just a short break in a straight through run so we hadnt even checked the cache list. Got the nicer photos then though. TFTC
Great view, always stop here on way north or south.

Found with blossom* on a great long weekend holiday. Another great spot for views over the countryside
As we pulled up here, we bumped into some friends from Sydney! Isn't it strange to meet friends so far from home? So we admired the views together for a while, signed the log and set off down the hill. TFTC nocomerino
Important to collect this cache as we ended up here by accident and decided that we had to stop for the fantastic view. Best check to see if there is a cache nearby and sure enough thanks to nocomerino a quick find was there for us. Glad it was quick, because the wind was freezing and we were glad to get back in the car and continue our trip.
So decided to take a short cut to Brisbane and well ended up here. Not so much a short cut but a great view and a cache thrown in so alls good

No views today because of the cloud, but muggles everywhere enjoying morning tea. One couple was facing GZ. After some careful manouvering the cache was retrieved and we retreated to the car. There was a deodouriser in the cache and my car now smells much sweeter. We left it in the cache tho. SL Returned the cache safely. TFTC
My favourite place to stop on one of my favourite roads thanks nocomerino. Pity it was too dark to get a photo.
AMAZING VIEW! Never been down this route before. Was coming back from a Scout thing in Tamworth and decided to take the road less traveled. Easy find. TFTC
We stopped here for a rest break on the way home from Armidale. This is a very popular rest area/lookout. There was quite a few muggles here. Mrs Shifter sat at the cache hide wile Miss Shifter ran around nearby (safely of course) and retrieved the cache, signed the log and returned it right under the noses of nearby muggles, without being observed - children make a good diversion at times.

Love the view. I'm use to looking up at the lookout from down in the valley.
thanks.
thanks.
Literally had our heads in the clouds at this cache. So wet and foggy we could hardly see the pull-off spot let along a view ... but from previous visits here know it's fantastic. Big bonus wih wet and foggy, no muggles.
Finally found it today, as there weren't tooooooooooooooo many people here great, cache, great location, and a great lunch, thanks Nan
got a couple of friends visited here today on there we to be dropped off in a warmer area.

Cache is a perfect fit.

Stopped on our way to Armidale with the Rotary club. Great view! Greetings from Canada!
A great view. I have seen it before. Today the clouds were too thick to see anything. A quick find and log between cars.
Left a travelbug.

Some muggles around, and a couple very busy giving each other presents, but nobody seemed a bit interested in what we were doing.
I have been past here many times, finally got this cache today though. As said, it was a bit tricky with all the muggles stopping for the view.

Found easily but retrieving it without being spotted was tricky. Lots of holiday traffic today. Family drove up while writting in log and had to get on my way, so pretty sure they saw me putting it back. I hope they left it alone if they went for a look. Sorry and thanks for the cache.

467Km from home
An easy find once a car full of muggles moved off the GZ. While waiting we took in the magnificent views and took a few photos.
Felt sorry for the few cars that steamed passed and missed the 10 million dollar view, even under very overcast skies.
The cache and log are both in good condition.

found on a hoilday to Dazza's home town, so many folk to visit there hasn't been time for caching but this one is at an ideal break between two towns and two lots of rellys. Thanks for the cache here, the Co have made a few small swaps and Dazz will move the GC on. TFTC.
Called in for a quick stop while heading north today. A fair bit of traffic on the road but the lookout was empty. We come past here regularly and stop most times, but always been too busy to grab this one.
Nice views today, and nice and warm as well. I think summer is on its way!!!!! Yay
T - TB
L - GC that likes country caches, and this is fairly country i reckon.

Found at 1.55pm GAFF1. Dragging the van up here and at such a sharp ascent even made the 4.2ltr diesel Patrol start to heat up! When we got to the top there was a group of motorcyclists inspecting one of their bikes that had just hit a pot hole and bent the rim of the rear wheel. The guy was hoping that he could get to Walcha to get it repaired - 80 kms away!
We were hoping to have lunch here, but it suddenly became very cold and so we huddled back into the Patrol and headed for lower altitudes. As expected - lovely views.
Thanks nocomerino.

We stopped here for morning tea after the long climb up from Bretti Reserve where we had camped overnight. We worked out where the cache was but with so many people coming and going it took a while to retrieve and a while longer to place back in its spot. We didnt mind the wait as it was a perfect day for photo taking and coffee and biscuits.
The last time I was here, 6 years ago, I'd cycled through... http://www.flickr.com/photos/chris_j_b/2200849795/

Headed back into the coastal showers after a few sunny days out west. Muggles would normally be a problem here but not so today with cool, windy and wet conditons and cloud on ground. Thanks nocomerino.
A regular stop off on one of my favourite stretches of road.
Heading up to Tamworth to visit a friend.

Found this cache at a scenic spot after leaving Walcha. Nice view of the surrounding valleys. TFTC.
This was a great place to stop and admire the view, but with a 6.0 tonne rig, parking was a bit of an issue at first. Managed to wriggle in right next to the cache which was an easy find. Thanks for the cache. TN Left a token.
