Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

A short visit to a very nice location. Lots of families about, lots of yaks and canoes I was tempted to ask to test drive a few but didn't exactly have the right attire on to do so, but shall keep this place in mind if I do ever do get a yak and need to practice my skills. Nice little multi to complete while visiting.
YAPIDKA! A detour as I’m on a multi mission and what a surprise- so many people but it is hot. Took some geosense and stick poking! TFTC bring me here AND THE FUN

We were on a road trip to visit some friends in the countryside and found ourselves in Cowwarr. We spent a bit of time at this lovely park that involved a short walk to find the couple of caches. I managed to find this cache in the second spot that we looked in. TFTC!

Freestyle caching this arvo with day1976 after already caching all day.
We had lunch at the park, and then headed around to do a few nearby caches.
We found this after meeting the cache owner at the trad on the bridge. Nice easy to find final, in a cool shady spot.

We found this after meeting the cache owner at the trad on the bridge. Nice easy to find final, in a cool shady spot.
Arriving in the park to find it absolutely packed, we figured we'd have lunch first and then start looking for caches. Ilukaperi made some amazing sandwiches which I made a mess of and then we headed off.
Golden rule when in a new area, always start the multi first! Which we followed. It makes sense as it saves on doubling up on visiting locations. Anyhow, with coordinates gathered, we figured out where the final was and then headed off to do the nearby trad first.
After finding the trad (which was another whole story), we parked nearish to the final for this one and wandered over. There were a few camping here, but not many. A quick hunt around and Ilukaperi spotted it, but couldn't reach it. I tried reaching it from the other side but was beaten back by the new growth. Finally, I tried from her side and I could just make the grab. Log book signed and cache replaced for the further fun of others.
Thanks for the cache, all good here.

This cache experienced major flooding a while back and the park is closed to the public, I will replace it as soon as possible
Checked coordinates multiple times believe we have it right cannot find this cache searched and searched for it
Really could not find this even after rechecking coordinates and 5 of us looking
Spent Soo long looking for this one with no success. Will return another day determined to find it!
A detour on the way home from a weekend in the high country to check out the weir. A quick solve on the puzzle and off to the final. Thought we saw someone here earlier but there was no other log for the day so guess they were not caching
Thanks howey for the cache.

Heading home after an epic weekend getting a cache with 5.5 years unloved I decided to stop here to show my caching mate this tucked away little location , real waste of a location to be honest “no camping “it’s perfect for families to camp at cache was in good order still

We spent a great weekend camping with the geokids on the Macalister River and finding geocaches around Glenmaggie, Heyfield and surrounds. Caches were signed/stamped between 25-27th, September. We found some really beautiful little spots around here! Thanks so much for placing and maintaining these caches We replaced the wet log and bag.
We have been cooped up inside for months now with COVID but with the restrictions starting to ease decided that we would get out for the day and see how many of the caches closer to home we could find. Rebel Acts decided to come along for the ride as well. There’s not too many Gippsland caches he hasn’t found, but he is willing to watch and laugh if our efforts come up empty. The day has started cold, but fine and clear. Hopefully this will last but there has been hail forecast for some of Gippsland. With luck just not the part we are caching in.
Signing logs today as RASP (Rebel Acts/ SKI Pair)
Completed the multi, went for a bit of a walk and found and signed the log. The park is nice and deserted today despite it being school holidays, made caching much easier. You can still see some evidence of the earlier floods, and there’s a maintenance team still at work cleaning up some of the fallen and broken trees. It will look fantastic in spring

A nice day for a mini geocaching run along backroads. A nice simple multi to solve retrieving the information and determining the final coordinates quickly. Had the cache soon to hand signing the slightly wet log book.
Thanks howey for bringing me here - such a lovely location that I have overlooked for years.

Day 2 of our annual caching blitz holiday. A perfect spot to explore on a stinking hot day, wish we had brought the bathers though. Cache tucked away nicely. Tftc
With the sign say the area GZ was currently closed we hoped we would still be able to look, and sure enough we could it was just closed to vehicles so off we trotted on foot. Cache found quite quickly and the wind was up...... and off went the log straight toward the water......... lucky for the quick foot of J1 to stop it, signed and returned, too cold for a dip today!

*After a couple of nights in Traralgon, it was time to move further east, to be with family in Bairnsdale.*
Yes a good spot for lunch, HP can remember coming here for picnics, many moons ago. We collected the numbers and headed to GZ. Our searching made the nearby free camper and his dogs quite curious. Eventually the cache was in hand, it is in great shape.
Thanks howey for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

This was quite a simple multi to solve . . . for some (me!) however Mrs B just couldn't get her head around the simple code (She says: "Hmm. A = 1st letter + 4 means so that means A = P (as in euroPean)! How does P become part of a coordinate?") Sigh! Just as well I'm a patient soul who was able to gently explain the technique to her. Not!! In spite of the dagger-like glares coming my way I succeeded in determining the coordinates which lead us directly to the GZ and once the cache was in hand, smiles had returned and all was right in the world again.

I did pick a wettish kind of day for this one and it was a good call, no RVs or campers, so I had time to search properly which I needed... TFTC
Heading home from our holiday to Qld, we stayed overnight at the weir, and I picked up this cache. tftc.
So, after my failure to retrieve a Jimmymaff multi, I thought I'd give this a try. I'm certain I'm looking in the right place, but still no luck. So I headed home, dejected, no souvenir for me this weekend.
Got the location but didn't find it... Wishing there was more clues. Unsuccessful day.
Found with Mansgirl on a caching couple of days. It turns out we were camped no more than 10 metres of on final GZ. Thanks.
Yay - great fun in rainy weather - fate would have it car parked three metres away cache - such fun tflc
Lovely wind free winter's day. Enjoyed the meander around the park. Found by GeoDad. Thanks. Silkyie
FTDNF (...first to DNF)! Can I claim that as an achievement! Stopped here to take a conference call on the way through the area. Parked up at WP1 and had the clue in hand quite quickly. Worked through the coords and fairly certain I had a good GZ identified. Unfortunately the GPS wanted to take me right to the edge of the river, and with recent rain there was no bank left to explore. Tried the nearby trees but no success there either ( TFTC although no find for me!
Turning out to be a nice day the place was all ours today unlike last time in the middle of summer tftc
Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.
Making use of the 48hour stop in Heyfield we headed out to explore the local area. We saw lots and some incredibly interesting history and scenic areas here.
Shame we didn't do this before the traditional. Think some of the locals were a bit suss of us bimbling back and forward as we went about our caching business here. lol. A delightful sunny day brought the geotoddler, his geodad, our geodog and myself to the Weir for a picnic and a spot of caching. I worked out the final co-ords while we munched away and then off we went. Since I'd found the other cache at the weir earlier, I handed the gps over to the geodad for his turn. He quickly had the cache in hand, unfriendly slug removed, log signed and we were back on our way. TFTC howey!
Thanks to my amazing addition skills, Redwiccan and I were able to find it with ease, minus a nice bump on the head from a low flying tree. Ow! TFTC!
Glad to find this one with heleasy tonight and was nice to explore another area of this location as we usually only come for a quick swim in the hot weather. TFTC

Out solo today while up visiting Mum. And as I write this im listening to kookaburras laughing sun is shining. No one around today. The river is flowing fast and I have a cache in hand. Beautiful spot. TFTC
Cache was covered in mud cleaned it up, was a bit moist inside Had a nice relaxing afternoon TFTC
With Jnr Jimmy no. 1, 2 and 3 and Mr Jimmy in tow we set out on a lovely warm afternoon. We found the clue easily, but it took some looking before Mr Jimmy pointed us in the right direction for the find. A few muggles enjoying the beautiful area on a great day, but think we managed to make the find unnoticed. TFTC
We found a bit big lizard about 20 m from GZ.
so comback and sqau took a lot photos

Found it with my two girls on a beautiful sunny spring afternoon. They had brought trinkets to swap and really loved that part too!
We managed to break away from the family picnic to have a look for this cache. Nice one. TFTC and for the story of the weir. The younger Grebren was replaced on this occasion by a 3 year old cousin, whilst the younger Grebren was off avoiding the three family dogs. All went well.
Didn't even attempt this last time as it is a beautiful spot but attracts many muggles when the weather is good. Cool November day to have a good walk around. Many mozzies, few muggles. Tnln. Tftc
Happened to be out this way for work today.
Between jobs I gathered the required information (it was not the fish I thinking of) and did the sums.
After the job was finished I made my way to GZ. I quickly located the cache and signed the log.

A quick find geese still here. TFTC cached with Younglings Banana 1 Banana2 and Banana3
It was really dripping wet! Dried out log, container, swaps and replaced ziplock bag. Removed pencil as it was rotting - sorry, didn't have another one to put in. Great place! Did some fishing, had a BBQ and camped overnight in the van. The fish ladder was pretty cool too! TFTC!
Called in here while out on a ride today. Replaced the wet log with a new one and dropped off a pathtag for the next finder. Another beautiful day to be out and about.
Had to get info from the sign that the local goose was guarding once info was taken, off to gz for a quick find.log book is that wet that the pages can't be opened up so stamped my stamp on the front page.
After searching wrong tree's, nearly slipping into the stream almost disappearing into a leaf covered wombat home thought I better get an extra clue, phone a friend, "it's in the tree's'. Mnnnnnn, I must be in wrong tree's, tried next lota tree's bingo ! Tfth, tnln.. Yep log is very wet.. :}

We started this one months ago, then had to give up due to muggles, darkness and wrong coordinates (our miscalculation). Came back tonight to an easy find. Log was drenched. Signed with difficulty. Probably lucky to survive the recent floods, but needs a good dry out. Thanks howey for the hide.
Luck this one was moved higher. Found under lots of flood debris. Contents soaked but log dry thanks to Mr Glad. Well done and quite safe from the water till the next flood! TFTC.
Gosh !! The places you find when you have a geocache to chase
This delightful parkland with it's lake in the middle is worth the visit at lunchtime.
Plenty of green grass and picinic tables.
On a showery day it was also nearly devoid of people too
I fished around on arrival for the cache coordinates and enjoyed the stroll across the weir to find GZ.
I passed a freebie RV overnight parking area on my way.
It seems this place is a secret even from the grey ghosts !!
There was evidence of only one van having been through the gates in the last week.
Today there were none !!
I found the cache safe and sound, although a little damp.
The logbook's fine and I dried the rest of the container on me best caching shirt
Should be OK now, it's sitting a little higher in it's hidey hole

With school back today this was pretty quiet.
A fat lady was sunbaking right behind the signboard but took no notice of us. Too busy catching rays.
We sat at a nearb table and sorted out the the second half of the multi and drove around to it.
No-one around to bother us as we searched and found GZ

We pulled up at wpt1 and couldn't help but comment on how great the whole area around here looked. We collected the required information easily and then we took the drive option to gz where the GPSr guided us to a likely location and the cache was recovered not long after. The cold wind blowing today seemed to work in our favour as there were a few cars around but no muggles at gz

We set out for an evening drive to a place we had been many times before for family outings, /this is a great spot on a hot summers day when there is a light breeze coming across the water. So we collected the required information and set off on a walk around the weir. After a short look we retrieved the cache and completed the paperwork.
We were being attacked by mozzies now so beat a hasty retreat to the car for the trip home.
No swaps today

Found in the company of pprass, Rabbitto and Acts2youthgroup on a fun but tiring caching day today. When we got to gz there was a kids group here in the cold and rain. Not sure if they were having fun or not, I suspect they weren't, but we did! Thanks howey for the cache. Nice park too.
We found this cache at 1:35pm as the 10th of 43 on our Sale or No Sale Tour with Alansee, Pprass and Acts2YouthGroup. A kids group were enjoying the inclement weather near WP1. You would have to be crazy to be out here on a day like today. Oh wait...... Despite A2YG's log, I defend that I hadn't gotten around to that particular side of the hide before he had gotten there but PPrass is guilty as charged. Thanks from D B-A.
Found at 1.40pm GAFF5 in the company of Acts2YG, Alansee and Rabbitto on a very successful tour of east Gippsland.
Never been to this side of the weir before. A quick calc of the final co-ords while in the car and then off we went to GZ. We arrived at GZ and started half heartedly prodding around in the wet grass and foliage - we were wet enough from an earlier adventure. Finally Acts2yg dived in and grabbed the cache just a few cms from where we were looking.

This was cache # 22 of 45 for the day, In the company of Alansee, pprass & Rabbitto, on our tour of Gippsland, the cache was found at 13:35. I was shocked to see so many cars here, turned out to be some kids group doing some fishing and we thought we were mad. After crunching the numbers I found the cache in a place previously searched by pprass and Rabbitto. My thanks to howey for the cache.
#4 for the Crusaders taking a detour from the RailTrail series. Was almost a DNF (and DNAttempt) as dopey me printed the necessary clues for GZ, but forgot the initial co-ords...
After consulting the Melways - and temporarily putting the Navman out of a job - managed to find the spot and the requisite signage. So there were no "I told you so's" in the car, thankfully.
Trundled off to find GZ, after Navman trying to tell us to go the long way - quick find, though somewhat wet. Will be coming back for a picnic trip in summer - though with the weather today, that could be tomorrow or in a month!
Took TB, SL.

Found this morning - we were here on the weekend but it was packed so we didn't even attempt this one then. Today, nice a quiet with a few dog walkers and a couple of bikers cooling off. We got the required info and then slipped around to the gz. After sitting down like picnicers waiting for a couple of walkers to continue on we had the cache in hand. Found this one while out on a ride placing a few caches of my own. On
approaching WP1 I thought I was going to have to take a dip in the lake.
Decided against that (although it was quite warm ) and found the sign I

Found with Hillbridge after some frustration at Heyfield. Maybe the McCoys and Hatfields have muggled the ammo tin or we just had a very bad day. Anyway, a great park, but it would have to be alot warmer to entice me for a swim. Global warming may sort that out, but snow melt water is never warm. T4TC.
