Thank you for alerting me to one of beautiful Bendigos landmarks. Ive always known it was there and have passed it by many times, but to learn is origin etc is marvellous. Thank you for this EC
In Bendigo with my girls for the Hockey JSC over 3 days Saturday to Monday staying at a lovely motel on the main street. Getting out on caching adventures in the breaks between games and in the evenings. Enjoying the wonderful sights and sounds of Bendigo by day and by night which in some places makes the experience all the more magical. We may have walked around in circles here more than we had to, to find the answers. Lovely fountain. So much nicer to visit some places by the cover of darkness and lights illuminating. Answers sent to CO via message.Thank you for the cache here 379Jonti379
We have visited Bendigo a few times and this is a great landmark to be able to get your bearings. TFTC
I have driven past this fountain on numerous occasions and have probably even photographed it but his Earth Cache focused my attention to it. Thank you 379Jonti379 for organizing this cache. Answers sent to CO.
The cache crawl was on and this year apart from the Friday night dinner which I couldn't make it to I will be doing the whole crawl. Eventually the weather got better later in the day.Geez, it absolutely bucketed down rain while I was here but that didn't stop me gathering the information I needed and I got to test out the waterproofness of my Katmandu jacket which held up well. Thanks 379Jonti379 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Visited with Lazraa. Answers sent to cache owner. A beautiful fountain, especially at night. TFTC.
What a beautiful fountain I visited today. Answers have been forwarded. A fav point today.TFTC
In Bendigo with the family for the long weekend. Wandering around the city centre collecting AdLab points stopped here to collect info for the Earthcache - second for the day.A great spot to visit if a tad busy in the middle of the roads.TFTC 379Jonti379
After finishing in Puckapunyal, it was time to start heading towards the Loddon LGA via Bendigo. Neither of these LGAs we have cached in before. We are slowly working on the 12 and 20 geocaches in each LGA challenge, and we thought we would try to at least take a huge dint out of these challenges in these Local Government Areas. We got to Bendigo and had missed the local event. So we went and had a nice lunch on Pall Mall. Then it was time for a nice stroll to let the meal go down and collect a few geocaches. After parking our car, we had walked past this monument and admired it. We didn't realise it was an Earthcache at the time. So the last cache for this trip to Bendigo city centre was this Earthcache while walking back to the car. Thanks for the cache, 379 Jonti 379.HunterPS. Logging without permission but message sent.
**07/05/2024, 06:22:00****Find #5811****Earth Find #55****Logged pending approval**I got off to an early start as I headed home. A little too early for some caches. I must have gotten some strange looks from passing motorists as I view this fountain in the semi-darkness, because there wasn't a whole lot I could see. [^]Anyway, I took a few photos and obtained answers to the question and then headed off home.**Thank-you to 379Jonti379 for placing this geocache**
Thank you for an Earthcache right in the middle of town.Answers sent.We have set off on our annual winter escape but with no real plans other than a set of ideas. Our first stop is Bendigo, a place we haven't visited for any length of time in the past. There appears to be much to see and a good variety of caches to keep us entertained. We met up with our caching buddies Rebel Acts and Omegaman for a few days as well which added to the laughs and fun.Caches logged as RASPOM or SKI Pair if they had already found them. This is one of the caches we have found to date.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache 379Jonti379.**SKI Pair****
This is a beautiful fountain; one that any city would be pleased to have. Thanks for bringing me here today. It's a lovely day to be out and about.
I'm hitting the road again with my Rebel Acts and Ski Pair to have some fun and explore new places. While I don't mind caching locally, there is nothing like a road trip for a few days putting smiles on the map. I had a great time with lots of laughter and caching fun.
Enjoying a couple of days in Bendigo. It is my first ever visit. This fountain is quite magnificent. So much detail.I have sent my answers, I hope all is OK.Thankyou for placing this earth cache for us to enjoy

The ladies and horses are beautiful. The water just seems to flow straight on by everything so majestically.Thank for this piece of history... LilDonna
Spending the long weekend away with my girls. Stopped quickly before checking into our hotel to look at the tulips and walk around town a bit.The girls loved the fountain and commented on all the money at the bottom.TFTC
Heading homewards bound after attending a wedding in Donald via Bendigo for a cache or two. After having an ice-cream lunch at Favourite Flavours (was there for an adventure lab location but could not resist) had some spare time before having to be back in Melbourne for The Great Victorian Cache Crawl - Westmeadows event to grab this cache and a nearby virtual.

With an ice cream event on this afternoon, a day trip to Bendigo was in order. Parked nearby to grab some lunch from the yummy schnitzel joint, and walked down to do this earthcache while waiting for it to be cooked. Beautiful old fountain. We had spent some time at the Deborah mine earlier today, so the gold history all tied on nicely. TFTEC 379Jonti379. Answers have been sent.
Such a beautiful monument. We look at this every time we drive by it. The detail in the stone work was beyond what I would have imagined they had the capability of at the time. The four maidens are gorgeous. The fountain also provided us with a cool splash as the wind blew. The different fountains added an appeal to the structure as you look at each different water way. Thank you for allowing us a reason to get up close to this beautiful fountain!

We spent a long weekend in Bendigo and admired this fountain many times from the car. Sunday morning we enjoyed a ride in the tourist tramway and after getting off we had the time to inspect the fountain a little more closely. It was worth crossing the street for - such an impressive civic monument!
My phone is both GPS and camera, so photo is of the youngest Tanglefoot inspecting the fountain.

In Bendigo for the day and this one had to get done. I walked the whole way around the fountain before finding what I needed. Got a bit wet with the water in the wind. Answers have been sent TFTC
This is a stunning fountain and worth stopping at. Bendigo is a lovely city, I love the history that it has and driving through is always so interesting. Great to have this highlighted and to be able to visit today. A slight breeze while I collected the answers had me lightly showered from the fountain... very refreshing on a warm day! Thanks for bringing me here today!
I have been Geocaching for the last year as part of team Dromaniax. We have enjoyed the Geocaching caching around a lot of Victoria in that time. From our first trip up to the Murray River, the next trip to Lake Eildon and the area around Buxton, an epic trip to the Little Desert to attack the This is SA series, then a great trip with our father to the High Country in Victoria, a trip to the Mornington Peninsula and a trip to the Albury-Hume Reservoir area.
I finally decided to set up my own account and am claiming all the caches I have found as part of Dromaniax.
Thank you for this Earthcache 379Jonti379

TFTC what a lovely day to be out caching in Bendigo. The fountain was surrounded by tulips. Out and about with Crack n Lee Lee (they sent answers in).
TFTC. Thought I would find some of the Bendigo caches today. Unfortunately another drizzly day.
Tftc, nice looking landmark to actually walk around, rather than driving past or seeing on television...even if I had to dodge the 'rain' caused by the wind whipping the streams of water at times.
We decided to go on the talking tram today and stopped at the fountain and do the cache. What a awesome fountain when you get up close. Thanks for the cache. Cheers
Now that is A very ornate water fountain. So much fine details.
The wind was causing a wet breeze to the west so got sprayed a bit as I moved around.
Thanks for bringing me to this great piece of public art.

I always love coming to Bendigo. I used to visit relatives up here all the time when I was younger and would have loved to live here. Such a beautiful city.
A caching day in Bendigo with Posums saw us park in town and go for a wander before the streets got busy. Ive driven past here many many times so it was nice to finally stop and find this caches. Answers sent and pic uploaded. Many thanks.
After spending the week before away caching I thought that I better catch up with a few things around home over this weekend.
Sitting at Friday night my phone went bing and it was a message from Gemma Sistema, the question was asked are we still on for our 6 weekly caching catch up tomorrow.
Opps I had totally forgot about that so the response was of course and what Geovehicle do I need to bring.
A quick run around to get organised and the day was planned.
I’m just the chauffeur on these trips as always Gemma tells me where to go.
Met early in Castlemaine and headed to Bendigo for a fun day out.
Found somewhere in town to park so we could tackle a few early before it got to busy.
Have visited this fountain many times and the last time I was right in town Marylin Monroe was standing over in the park.
Worked out what was required and answers sent.
Some blow in in my photo as well.
Thanks 379 jonti379 TFTC.

Camping trip through Victoria has been interrupted by the weather in the past couple of days so have resorted to hotels. After checking in to my hotel I headed to the heart of Bendigo in the rain to grab some dinner and a couple of caches.
After admiring this beautiful fountain, I set to work on the question. Plaque found and the answer recorded.
Answer has been sent to CO.

Down in Victoria for the long awaited (and necessarily postponed) Wangaratta MEGA, and a little holiday chasing the usual (oldies, counties and windmills). Just for something different we are adding to the hit list and the graves of the regionally buried dead premiers. Lol the things we will do for a cache! Really appreciated being able to grab this earthcache on the way through. Thanks for the cache.
We were up visiting friends in Bendigo and what better way to spend the day then to try and grab a cache or two. I am always on the hunt for a new Earthcache as this is one type of cache I have found very few and need to try to find more. This was such a cool little fountain. TFTC
Stopped on way through town, alas it was dark and a lil hard to read, but will send what I have and pics to CO..
A very cool fountain...

The fountain is so beautiful! We didn't stop to truly appreciate it but drove past in the tram. We were trying to cram as much of what Bendigo offered into one afternoon. Thanks for organising the earthcache. Have sent answers to CO.
Beadling around Bendigo on the public holiday and stopped at this busy intersection. It was difficult to get pics of the fountain without cars. Love the merhorses!

Revelled in the fine spray from this fountain on some quite hot days. My phone is my GPS, so hopefully this photo suffices. Really enjoyed visiting Bendigo. So beautiful.
We used our free seniors travel passes to do a trip to Bendigo. I saw this cache and the beautiful fountain and there was only one thing to do. I have sent my answers and hope all is OK with them.
Found it! Answers sent to CO. Don’t think they play anymore. We enjoyed our first weekend away from Melbourne the first time in 2 years. I went for a wander and visited the fountain and gathered the required information. Thanks for the Earthcache. Amazing stonework!!
