I love a bit of a wander through old cemeteries. So much history! We found this cache out in the open and the log is wet but we were still able to sign it! We placed it very close to where we found it but out of plain sight.TFTC WanderingAus
As we drive our way today from Perth to Southern Cross, we stopped in Meckering to read some history of the area. Before continuing our journey, we also came to visit the cemetery and look at some history here. We decided to collect a a cache the area and add a smiley to our map from the time we spent in Meckering today. Thanks WanderingAusDomsky
Gz a little bouncy but quick find in treeThank you WanderingAus for placing and maintaining WanAus 150 - LKA Meckering for us and others to find and enjoy!
Heading up to Southern Cross to meet up with a few other caching team to tackle the Mount Helena / Aurora Ranges. This was one of the caches I found along the way today . Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 11629find.Thankyou WanderingAus for placing and maintaining this cache
Even pre geocaching, I used to enjoy visiting pioneer cemeteries for the history. LKAs make it even better. Tftc
Mrs Cracker headed down from Geraldton by bus to attend The Magic Maker event yesterday and was very kindly chauffeured around Northam by Di Morgan for the weekend.
Today we ventured further A field picking up some of the newly published caches as well as a few oldies. We learnt a lot about the area as we visited the various caches.
We saw some lovely countryside on this beautiful winters day.
We are slowing making our way theough these LKA's enjoying them as we go,
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to find

Was driving through today on my way to an overnight camp in Westonia, before heading on to Kalgoorlie tomorrow. Day 1 of a 2-week road trip I do like a cemetery cache so was keen to stop off here on the way past. Drove right round to GZ and made a very quick find once there. No problems here today TFTC
Signal kept moving location around, looked in the general area but unfortunately couldn’t find it.
On a road trip around the wheatbelt areas of Western Australia for a few weeks. We are enjoying the many friendly towns along the way, whether staying in the CP’s or camping out. Thank you so much to the CO’s of every cache for placing them for our enjoyment. They certainly bring you to many spots that you might not stop at otherwise.
A day caching in Northam, Meckering, Cunderdin, Tammin, Kellerberrin and Merredin, before heading around through Nungarin, Kununuppin, Trayning, Yelbeni and Wyalkatchem to the event in Minnivale. Weather was glorious and it was a DNF free day. Caching at its best. Thanks for your contribution to a great day.
Out and about in the Wheatbelt racking up the km on the car.
Logbook was moist, but log was still signable. Replaced the cache exactly as found. Cheers WanderingAus!

Quick find. Log book is damp but had no problem signing. Returned as found. If it wasn't for this cache, would never have stopped here. Like cemeteries and their stories. Tftc
Decided to clear up the Meckering caches and started here. Quick find. As mentioned log damp but signable. TFTC
A very peaceful spot to start today's caching trek eastwards. Disappointing to think that this replacement cache hasn't lasted a year - no longer waterproof. Thanks for getting me to stop here WanderingAus.
After the Northam GG series, I went driving out to Goomalling, Dowerin, Cunderdin and Meckering.
Another wonderful LKA WanAus cache!!
Log is wet.

Found it. TFTC WanderingAus. Quick find here today. Interesting to read the headstones.
WanderingAus wandered by on a maintenance run, replaced the damaged cache container with a drab camo'd 90mm Diam x 50mm High plastic screw-top container.
Found on the way back to Perth from kalgoorlie. Needs maintenance, plastic container falling to bits
Lol great day of caching today... we’ve taken our wheely bin on this long weekend road trip to add to the isolation bin posts trending on FB- here is ya with the bin today
Made good time here once I actually left the city and as I was walking to the cache slipping in the soft mud wondered if I should have bought the car closer.
Once at GZ I found the cache in its hiding spot and container open, with all the rain I’d been driving through to get here I wasn’t expecting things to be in as good a condition as they were.
After signing I made sure the container would remain shut and added a little protection cover to it.
——-
After conferring with the boss I organised for a leave pass for the weekend, that got extended for a second night, and headed out to the Wheatbelt to join fellow caches.
Day 1 had me dropping the kids off to nanna’s and slowly, much slower than expected, making my way out towards the agreed upon destinations. With half the day gone before I reached Midland I decided that I would make Kwolyin my base for the weekend and grabbed a few new LGA’s on the way.
I arrived at the camp and met up with Fratra and some members of the FOTT. In between showers and gales I was able to get my tent set up, wander around the camp area grabbing the caches available and had an enjoyable night chatting with the crew.

Thanks WanderingAus for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 2236 for me.

Making our way from Kalgoorlie to Southern Cross this afternoon and collecting a few caches along the way. Many thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining their caches and enhancing our enjoyment of trying to find them.
Passing through on our quick country trip. We would never have noticed this spot if it wasn’t for geocaching! TFTC!
On a business trip to Merredin and allowed some extra time to pick up a few caches including this one.
Thanks for the cache WanderingAus - all was in good condition

Yes it was in the dead centre which proved to be an interesting place as some of our distant relatives are there.
Thanks for the effort in placing it there.

Touring from Tasmania and stopped here. Very interesting history about the earthquake around here. Tftc
1st geocache in our Goldfields adventure. 2090kms, 38 caches. Lots of Snookes in this final resting place. TFTC.
Out and about picking up some LGAs. Nice quick find.
TFTC WanderingAus this is find # 6040 for us.

Started out this morning by picking up a couple more caches on our way out of Northam with ilook4geo. Then the journey continued a bit further east as the day progressed. Each found log had a couple more signatures added and each cache was put back as it had been found before we moved on. Thank you to WanderingAus for adding this cache to the fun of the game.
Left Northam and headed on today, still caching with goingplaces2. Found this cache on our way by. It was an easy find after spotting the cache indicator. All returned to place. TFTC.
Ducked off the highway to grab this one as we cached through the night on our way to Kalgoorlie. I like the LKA series but it always feels strange doing them in the middle of the night. Nice quick find made and back on the road. TFTC WanderingAus.
Eastward bound! Axell33 and I hit the road headed for Kalgoorlie this time. Keen on the caches ahead of us, which are plenty, no time limit and we're in the dark! Always enjoy the LKA's. A quick detour off the highway for this one. Thanks for the cache.
After spending the day in Cunderdin and lunch at the Ettamogah Pub with friends we grabbed a few caches on the way home. A nice quick find here TFTC
Out on a long journey to Kalgoolie, picking up caches along the way . thanks to everyone for placing these caches for everyone to find. Absolutely a beautiful weekend so far. Tftc.
Enjoying a short road trip to visit Meckering Cundedin and Tamin on a beautiful March day. TFTC.
GPS was out by 6 mtrs...but easy find.
Thort we were going to do this one in the dark heading home to Merredin from Northam...but got here just as the sun was about to go down.
So quiet, peaceful and beautiful.

Another traditional LKA so was able to zero in on it quickly and soon had log in hand. Left the pen in the car. Blast! Called out to hubby to bring it down, but then remembered that wan aus usually includes a pencil. Thank goodness! Nice hide. All well with cache!TFTC, Wan aus.
Found on my trip back to QLD after attending the WAGB2017 event over the weekend. This was a quick find before moving on. TFTC.
Found it easily enough, about 2m from where the coordinates pointed. Hadn't been bulldozed over or anything. Tftc
According to gps on phone we were 2 m from it but couldn't find it behind Meckering cemetery
Well talk about a delay in logging! Time has just flown by since I undertook this awesome LGA weekend with PommieParkin. Due to the delay, you will have to excuse the generic log.
PP2 enquired as to whether I would like to go on an adventure to get some more LGA's under our belts, to which I said of course! Set out on the Saturday to head up into the Wheatbelt for the weekend. We first stopped at Northam to do one or two of the Bristag caches I had heard so much good things about. Unfortunately we only managed one, but it did not disappoint!
From there we headed east through Meckering, Cunderdin and Tammin (knocking off a couple of LGA's). From there, we headed north to Wyalkatchem, stopping at a couple of interesting places for caches. I particularly enjoyed the stop at Yorkrakine Rock, it was such a beautiful spot.
We finally reached Wylie, where we were staying the night. Before the day was over we completed the wonderful series by WebblyWA, which gave us a great tour of the town. Once the caching was over, we met up with WebblyWA at night and had the pleasure to experience a drive-in cinema in Koorda, which was conveniently another LGA
On the Sunday, we finished off the caches we had on our list in Wylie and headed west towards Dowerin, where WebblyWA had another series. It was another great series and the final ended up being my 1000th cache found!
From there, we kept heading west to Goomalling for another LGA. This was where our LGA hunt was meant to stop. But, it was here that the LGA bug got to me and it became a case of "well if we just travel half an hour this way, we can get another LGA". So after little time spent convincing PP2, we headed north to Wongan Hills, stopping in Konnongorring for some great views at Gabby Quoi Quoi. Unfortunately, Wongan Hills cemetery was where we had our first DNF of the weekend, meaning our hopes of another LGA were riding on the one other cache in town. Luckily it was an easy enough find.
We then headed west towards Calingiri for one last LGA, stopping to admire Lake Ninan on the way (can't believe there isn't a cache there!). The cache in Calingiri was found, putting my total of LGA's found on the weekend to 8.
I had such an awesome weekend exploring this part of our great state. Many thanks go to the various CO's of the caches. But, I would particularly like to thank PP2 for suggesting the weekend, WebblyWA for some great series and Kyzabra for coming up with the LGA challenge, without which I probably wouldn't have explored this great area.
