19 April 2017 11:26 AM Found with Gonefishen07 on our little adventure to Alice Springs. Thank you for taking the time to place the cache and show us this beautiful area.

17-Apr-17
Found it with TICE [Hiltsu, J&T, kapeka & laalaa]

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Greetings from Finland!

Not knowing this has been archived by the reviewer, Sharkiefan and i set out to complete this cache as the final coordinates are in the description.
After we parked, we chatted with some golfers before making our way up the slope. At one point we held a meeting to decide if we should continue going up or, perhaps, heading down. Up it was and after another 50 metres we realised down was the better option.
The cache was located quickly and it is in excellent condition for an archived cache.
On our return, we chatted to another group of Golfers and then headed of.
Thanks Hobbgoblin for the caching adventure

Our Spring Geocaching trip go this year to Australia...yes you read right, in Finland is spring now.
We visit in Australia (Adelaide, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta, Whyalla, Coober Pedy, Uluru, Alice Springs, Port Vincent and other place which are on the way those places) on April 05.-20.

We see many beautiful place where we visit and enjoy every cache what we found, so humble thanks every cache owner that you hiding this cache!

We (kapeka, laalaa, J&T. and Hiltsu) use common nickname Team ICE, T-ICE or TICE that we saves space in the logbook.

Thanks For To Cache!
Greetings from Finland

16-Apr-17
Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.

All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!

We spent three days caching around Alice Springs. This is so different area than bushy flat desert around it. Lots of beautiful places to see. Truly Red Centre Experience for us.

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Finland!

Team Ice = Tice (J&T. laalaa, Hiltsu and kapeka) in Australia. Evening walk and found this one.

Found with Happy Feet 1 and au.fait - signed as HAG (lol). Nearly dark for us....racing around like headless chooks from the red centre mega trying to hammer off as many as possible in our few days of the event. TFTC.

Great little night walk.

14 April 2017 @ 9:05 pm

Log is signed as ADI or AlphaDeltaIndigo
Geobuddy: RideTheGeoWalrus, Moneydork, semik, MorganEd, Cougar Hunter.

Due to previous help from another cacher, Moneydork had final cords to the cache. In the dark we scrambled through the bush to posted coords but couldn't find any guiding fire tacks .. Hencewe scrambled more to get to gz, walking straight in to a web. Cache was found in good condition.

14-Apr-17
Caching my way from Adelaide to Alice Springs via Uluru for the Red Centre Experience event. Today was day four and that meant Yulara to Alice Springs. Previously I'd focussed on older caches, but there aren't that many in the red centre, so my travel companions AlphaDeltaIndigo, Moneydork and I grabbed everything we could. Then after attending the opening ceremony we made a start on the many caches in and around Alice.

Managed to spot one of the night tacks, though that was all. Luckily a previous finder was in our group.

This was find number 10 of 37 for the night for me. TFTC Hobbgoblin!

14-Apr-17
Caching in the Alice Springs and Eastern MacDonnell ranges region for the long, long weekend all thanks to the Red Center Experience geocaching event in Alice 13-17th April 2017. My apologies for a generic log, but I'm notorious for not logging my caches. I am just trying to get up-to-date so someday I can celebrate milestones again. cheers and thanks to all for their efforts to make the hide findable and most in a location worthy of a visit without geocaching (but I'm glad I got a smiley too!)

13-Apr-17
We decided to look for this one in the daylight due to other logs talking about unstable footing.
We followed the GPS after looking at the maps, deciding on a parking location and climbing over the top of the hill. MR Shifter waited at the top while Mrs Shifter retrieved the cache (Mrs Shifter was wearing suitable footwear and Mr Shifter wasn't).
The cache was located quite quickly.
Thanks for the hide Hobbgoblin.

Avoid disappointment geocacher - no worth unless previous finder help??

26-Nov-16
No markers visible. Tried to hike west through the sprinklers to no avail.

26-Nov-16
Having completed an audit against my finds and those of The Wackys, now logging those that I have missed. Many caches over a number of years. These days I actually keep up.

Thanks for thecache.

As others had commented about missing reflectors we decided to tackle this cache during the day with our kids. They enjoyed a bit of rock climbing as we took a round about route to gz. Cache in good order and nicely hidden. TFTC

31-Jul-16
It looks like almost all of the reflectors have gone. I would no longer call it a night cache.

30-Jul-16
I've done quite a few night caches back home in Austria, but how would that work in a totally unknown area, so far away? How are things working here? The same as at home?
First: The stars are different Wink And what else?
In fact, I can't tell Sad I didn't spot any of the reflectors, except the last one directly at GZ. Without the final coordinates from the listing I wouldn't have found anything.
But it was fun even though, so TFTC! Smile

28-Feb-16
Decided to grab this one after dinner tonight. The track seems a little less travelled since the last log, but the cache was easily found. I would suggest taking a better torch than the little one we had. TFTC

19-Nov-15
After dinner we decided to go for a little walk in the dark... we found the coords for the start but we didn't find any markers... so we decided to go directly to the final where we also found some markers! TFTC and Cheers from a Swiss cachercouple.

I didn't see the described fire tack markers, but it was during the day. Ended up taking a very very out of the way path to this cache.

28-Jul-15
During our 2 night stay in Alice Springs we also did some geocaching. After visiting the School of the air we went for a walk along Todd River.
This one we did on the way back to Desert Palms, it was found easily.
Greetings from The Netherlands.
TFTC.

28-May-15
We eventually found this cache. The night trail cannot be seen and the scrambling around in the dark for the actual cache coordinates was tricky with kids in tow. It's also not entirely clear that this is public access land.

28-May-15
Found after a scramble in the dark. Needs maintenance.

08-Apr-15
Lots of prickles hard find

05-Apr-15
Great hide! We enjoyed our walk this morning in Alice Springs and found some golf balls Smile. What a nice view from the GZ. Tftc!

#5401

On our trip trough Australia with the hole family we looked also for some caches. They often showed us places we would never had discovered. Thanks a lot to all the people who care about this lovely hobby Big Grin.

In Alice Springs we settled down a few days and I could go on tour with my bike.
I done it by day.

Greetings from Switzerland Big Grin.

01-Mar-15
Went for a walk in the dark but couldn't find any markers so came back in the day and walked straight to the cache. Found several balls on the walk up/down the hill.

21-Jan-15
After finding the start of this cache we could not find any more of the trail. On getting close to the GZ we spotted the end and the cache was soon found. This was a great cache even if we could not find the trail. TFTC.

21-Jan-15
We fail to find the first reflector so we blundered off into the night scrub. We may not have found the geo tacks but the reflective rocks were beautiful. We found gz and logged cache. TFTC we love night caches.

17-Dec-14
Had fun dodging sprinklers and saw a joey. TFTC

15-Dec-14
Very nice

26-Sep-14
Due to inappropriate footwear we parked close to the final GZ and headed straight to this one. Was an interesting climb in the pitch black with only three lights between four and thongs on! Easy find of a good sized cache, nicely tucked in. We will be back...TFTC!

04-Sep-14
Nice hike Form alice's secrets. Colorful Colorado trackable is not here

30-Aug-14
I have had me eye on this cache all week.
But I am not really a night cache person Red Face
Despite 'camping' only 700 metres from GZ for 8 nights, I never got a 'round tuit'.

This morning I was leaving towne and decided that I had better get around to it and set off on foot through the links.
All the neatly manicured green grass looks strangely out of place in this setting Smile

What a golf course though !!
If you do miss the fairway with your tee shot then the rough is very unforgiving territory [:o]

Speaking of the rough, that is where I was headed !!
How many lost golf balls would I find ? Smile
Three as it turned out [:o]
All of them inside the well hidden cache [^]

TFTC a favourite point "FORE" sure !!

12-Aug-14

Did this one during day and as a visitor was glad I did. What a great surrounding. Certainly unique as far as I'm concerned. Thanks so much for bringing me here and greetings from WA

18-Jul-14
Walked around in circles in the dark looking for markers eventually used end coordinates to climb up the side of a hill to the quarry

09-Jun-14
Travelling around Australia, and we are now camped at the showgrounds in Alice Springs.

A short drive around the area to pick up a few caches, before we head north.
We looked at this one last night, but due to the muggles in the area, we decided to return
this afternoon to locate the cache, which was well hidden and in good condition.
Only 1 tiny trackable in the cache, which we took to move on.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Hobbgoblin, for us and others to find.

06-Jun-14
I must confess, I too did this cache walk during the daylight hours. Probably preferred as there was quite a lot of rock-hopping involved. I certainly couldn't risk falling during my visit so opted for the easier approach.

Coords were spot on and container and contents all in good order

TFTC Hobbgoblin Smile

06-Jun-14
We completed the Night Walk in the late afternoon. It was challenging enough to locate the hidden cache in daylight. Thanks Hobbgoblin for placing this cache.

10-Jan-14
Went for a night time family geocache adventure to this special location - it turned out to be the hill Mum and Dad were married on in 1987. Had an excellent guide in our weekly golfing Dad, and Mum said I should warn everyone the pen in cache is almost dead.
TFTC!

05-Jan-14
We arrived in Alice Springs around 7pm, and will have to get to the airport next morning around 9:45am.
Not much time to get an Alice cache, unfortunately. Anyway, this was not too far from our hotel and a night cache seemed appropriate Wink
We found the starting point with one fire tack on the ground. Thankfully final coords were provided, we could not spot any more fire tacks before we arrived at GZ (one more at a closeby tree there). Found it anyway in the dark - nice big box!
Exchanged the very big coin with a very small one.

26-Dec-13
Found this one last visit and forgot to log

Thank you for the nice cache. Nice Greetings from Germany.

The TB listed in the inventory is not there, and has not been for years, you really should mark as missing to stop it from showing up in the cache inventory, thanks

Found on the Central Aust leg of our Round Aust Trip, see blog -
http://mrlocks.tumblr.com/
On a last minute cache bash to jump up the numbers, shame on us, lol. So just going for the easy ones.
And this was a nice easy one, not lol.
This would have been easier if I had scouted access in the daylight hours before returning at night. I drove around in the dark looking for an access point before choosing one on the wrong side. Then I walked around the hill the wrong way and ended up scrambling up the side of the rocky slope until is spotted some shiny reflectors. Then found a way back to the path up the hill and back to the car, ended up doing a full circuit of the hill, HA HA.
TFTC.

03-Aug-13
MDV and I did this cache early evening. We walked the wrong way around the hill and ended up climbing over. Found the final fire tack and the cache. Thanks Hobbgoblin for providing some variety in the style of caches in Alice Springs.

03-Aug-13
Last one of a day of 25 finds...KB spotted firetack and I made discovery shortly thereafter.... thanks Hobbgoblin

25-Jul-13
After arriving yesterday in Alice springs, we decided to have a caching day today. This was one of the caches found on our holiday up through the red centre of Australia. So far we have travel over 2000kms from home to various locations, some no different from home, but others nothing but spectacular. Gives you a different aspect on things, and how other people hide there caches in different environments, some from deserts and some from bush lands.

A nice quick find during the day as we were trying to grab as many caches before leaving tomorrow, we managed to find 3 golf ball on the way to the cache but left none as there was already one inside the large cache. TFTC

25-Jul-13
Greetings from Newcastle NSW
While traveling around this great land we all call home we decided to spend a couple of days here for some extra caching. it really has been an adventure of a trip and a great chance to see how other fellow caches are going about playing the sport, its also great to see that so many caches are in this one place. from the mountains to the rivers (all be them dry ones) we have enjoyed our time here in your backyard finding your caches. Keep up the good work and we look forward to coming back one day to find many more. Smile

23-Jul-13
Found 22/07/2013 had a bit of trouble finding this one but it was a good one once we found it

15-Jul-13
Found while on holiday in Alice Springs. Tried it at night but a noise in the bush deterred us from continuing, so came back the next morning to get the cache. TFTC.

09-Jul-13
Found with mum, dad and my brother on our week’s holiday to the NT. Thanks

09-Jul-13
We went to the NT for a week and this was one of the 50 caches we found with our family. Thanks.

09-Jul-13
This is the closest cache to our hotel. We didn't think to bring torches, and it's been raining heavily all day, so we decided to find it with the coordinates. Luckily, it was an easy find. Thanks

09-Jul-13
#2033-Our last of thirteen, in and around Alice Springs on a day of very heavy rain. This one was the closest cache to our Palm Springs resort, so we chose to finish the day with this one. Virtually ran up the hill, found the good sized and well stocked cache and came down via a track, a little easier circling around the hill. Good views of the golf course on the way home. Soaked to the bone, we headed back for a shower to clean and warm up. Thanks.

27-Jun-13
Great night walk. Had to follow the GPS as fire tacks were missing. Found the first one on the ghost gum, and the final ones at the end. We still found it exciting. TFTC Smile

20-Jun-13
Due to running out of time in town we did this at night but cheated and went the direct route. Was still a bit tricky, though, as Mrs M twisted her ankle badly two days ago and this proved to be quite challenging. TN but left a small, yellow teddy bear. Kept getting distracted by the shiny mica in the torchlight, loves rocks, she does. Biggest 'small' cache container we've seen for a very long time. Wish we had taken more to put in it and wish there were more of them. TFTC

01-Jun-13
Found with Beaker. Top spot for the final location. The night option was impossible for us both so we took the choice to see the sights in the light.

Thanks to Hobbgoblin and clear skies from TeamAstro.

20-Apr-13
found on our Alice springs trip, we had a ball and found 65 caches on our 8 day treck there and back. tftc sl

20-Apr-13
we found the reflector at the start but couldn't find any more, mum put the wrong co ords in her phone so we ended up 20m away from the cache. when she double checked it, it was easy to find, there was a reflector at the end. we had fun anyway. tftc sl we also found 6 golf balls along the walk.

18-Apr-13
Our flash light was too weak, but found it nevertheless. TFTC

18-Apr-13
Went for this walk after the sun had set. Unfortunately we couldnt find any fire tacks, only the very last at the final. Maybe our torch wasn't strong enough. Anyway, no problem to find the cache with the Gps. Thanks for hiding and making us have a little nighttime walk!

18-Apr-13
attempt #1 epic fail... Found however, a crazy Australian footballer Wink
attempt #2 to come...

14-Apr-13
Lots of FUN. On a caching holiday with J+J.au. We enjoyed finding the caches in Alice, especially the ones were we tracked over the spectacular hills and the reward was the fantastic views. We also enjoyed the caches that showed us the history of the location. Quite hot, very different from home. Thanks to all the local geocachers for showing us the highlights in this beautiful city. SL..TFTC

14-Apr-13
We went and this as the darkness was upon us, the torch helped us with some and we were able to spot others. Dropped off TB. TFTC

07-Apr-13
Found a fire tack on the ground and stuck it into a tree nearest the cache as best I could!

02-Jan-13
No luck with the 'trail' itself so used the coords to make a quick find. It would be great to see this one fixed up - the trails like this in South Australia are so fun and its an opportunity for a different kind of hide in Alice. Found with Racing Stripes and her dog Ellie, TFTC

03-Nov-12
We stayed at a nearby resort and took a short hot walk to log this. Really fun to see the wallabys.
Thanks!

03-Nov-12
After our visit at the town's Reptile Centre and have learned about all these dangerous snakes we decided to go for this one at daytime. The walk gave us a cache to sign and our first contact with wallabies - perfect! Smile TFTC!

A real fun night walk but we didn't see any reflectors Sad
Nazbug Very Happy

03-Jun-12
We choose to do this in the daytime, and were rewarded by the finding of $10 in the grass. Bonus! Found the cache (and some of the reflectors) in the company of some roos. Tftc

03-Jun-12
Found on the Anja & Setsujoku honeymoon tour!

After getting married on the 19th May it was time to head off for some rest and relaxation, or rather camping and lots of walking!

Find 52 of 74 on our tour of the Red centre outback.

Didn't do it as a night walk sadly, but we did see a roo, and even find a fire tack near the cache. A nice easy find, in what appears to be the upper class part of town.

Thanks to Hobbgoblin for the cache and another chance to see the outback.

02-Mar-12
Great place, very nice walk despite the wet day it was.
There were no ladies playing golf this day, so we had the place all for ourselves.
We found 4 golf balls in the bushes while looking for the cache and while following a big grey kangaroo. Smile

Found in the company of another travellers I met in Darwin, it was his first experience with geocaching and he liked it.

Thank you for the cache and greetings from Portugal.
