Checked the bomb this morning and found it to be working perfectly. Some cachers are getting a bit nervous about being blown to smithereens. Nah, just a leeetle surprise .lift the canister to reach the terminals

We are on a road trip from the NSW/Vic border to Mandurah for a wedding and have spent the last three days caching around Albany and we are now heading to Augusta for the night via DenmarkI dont think the bomb had been reset properly from the last cacher and I tried to reset it as per the instructions but Im not sure that I did it correctly. Great cache and no wonder it has so many favourite points. A little further along the track, I ran into the CO and alerted him to the issue regarding resetting this one.

Day #5. My last minute WAGB adventure continues today! Road tripping again. Ive now met up with Posums in Albany and we are off today on the much anticipated roymerc trail. Fun times ahead.Lets just say SWAT wont be calling my number anytime soon . What a fun experience. Fortunately no authorities were notified of our detonations. Cache log signed and another favourite for sure.A big thanks goes to roymerc for taking the time to add A Disarming Bomb to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? (Think Mega but even more special!)Join us on 22-23 March 2025 in Sunbury to celebrate 25 years of geocaching by logging your will attend at [**GCAP417**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).

I came over to WA last year for WAGB 23 and had such a great time so I decided to come back over again for this years events in Augusta. So after all of the planning with dates worked out my work decided that I could only have one week off so flying over was my only option. So I flew into to Perth and my first stop will be Busselton for 2 nights. It has been 47 years since I was in this part of WA and Im really looking forward to the re visit.Im making my way down the coast and picking out caches that look interesting to me.After spending a bit of time in Bunbury it was back to the Geo Rent a Car to continue along the coast and I then made it to Busselton.Day 4 of the trip. After caching around Busselton, Dunsbourgh and Cape Naturaliste I reached Albany for 3 nights.Caught up with Roaming Howie last night and a plan was hatched to head to Denmark today (the one in WA not the country) to tackle most of roymerc caches and any others that pop up.Made our way into here and I watched Roaming Howie blow himself twice which gave me much pleasure. We finally diffused the bomb and added our name to the log.Another fav to add to the list. Thanks roymerc TFTC

Find number 13800 at 1:57:45PM on Saturday the 7 September 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leisurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Today we're travelling a little down the road to Denmark to spend a day or two grabbing some of the roymerc caches around the area. The misses laughed, I laughed but the fact that we just blew each other up was OK because now we have another smilie Smile**Thanks for placing this cache roymerc**---*WOW, so much happening here in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.

I'm not sure bomb disarming is my thing, geez, sure did give me an experience, twice! Awesome cache and experience!Today was Gnowangerup down towards Denmark day. Leaving Gnowangerup it was a day of caching towards the select caches picked out. The roymerc caches had been highly recommended and called me for a visit. Sure was pleased we went, the quality and fun was worth the trip and experience of visiting them. Denmark has always been a favourite place of mine, so it's great to revisit and enjoy this beautiful area with it stunning scenery and a few nice walks. Dinner picked up in Denmark, it was out of town for a free camp. Nice quiet place by a creek, surrounded by power trails and a mild night quite good for a walk in the moonlight to collect a few. Quite unusual to hear so many birds at night, the magpies singing quite late. I've never heard them quite like they were here, nice though. Thanks for your cache.

09-Aug-24
We had a lot of laughs here. Losing fingers and someone also had an eye out. This is another famous must-do cache. We scratched our heads and went for the red herring too. Thank you again for another legendary cache.

Found this with my grandson (Jamesknowlson) back when he found this for the first time. Setting up our own geocache account now, and he is helping us get off to a start by logging a few caches we found when over with him in AUS. These roymerc caches were simply incredible! Such a shame we didnt have longer to explore more. Thanks for your hard work, Roy!

Fortunately, our back-training in the Australian bomb squad and missile disarming team was able to be put to good use today along with our sniffer dogs and caching sniffer noses. We can report that all is safe here once again with the bomb disarmed and lets hope ASIO never reads this log! Thanks roymerc. That was a real hard starter! Adding a FP. Domsky

Well we have made it to our final one that we can achieve today. It put the smile back on our dial, that missing the nearby WOW one took off. We parked in a slightly dodgy spot that has clearly been used before, by tennis players, even if it wasn't cachers. I was grateful for the comfort stop although my guess is that there is normally a lock on the door. We walked to GZ; for a change I even had appropriate shoes on. OMG this was so cool! Spotting it from a distance, RFC was soon at the right spot and started strong on solving. It startled us both a couple of times and well deserves all its fav points. Is been a fun day and i'm looking forward to dinner at the brewery as a way of winding down from the intentness of the day. tftc.

Secondo PF. #10869Third day in beautiful Denmark. A day dedicated mainly to these magnificent artefacts whose praises had reached us from far away. Our expectations were not betrayed, on the contrary!! A modest DIYer myself, I've created several wooden caches with spring mechanisms to make opening challenging and I was hoping to get some new ideas from roymerc. Seeing such magnificence, I felt dwarfed: I will never be able to reach these DIY heights!Luckily, we have enough Favs to lavish on each of the artifacts we discovered this morning. Our compliments! The opening required a few moments of hesitation and a moment of fear on BA's part!Hello and thanks. Second Fav. #10869

What a well made cache here, had a bit of a laugh but really enjoy how it all worked and the effort that had gone into it

In WA for 3 days, so I decided to hire a car and head south from Perth and drive around the wheat belt and back up the coast line. Day 2, after staying in Albany for the evening I headed off towards Busselton, first stop was Denmark to try and find all of the BYOB and a few other before making my way along the back roads finding a few caches along the way before caching around Busselton in the evening.

Thanks for the cache

Found it!

29-Apr-23
Checked cache and found that one of the activating cables had got snagged. Released that and bomb is working again, but no guarantee for how long. However I think I can fix it 'in situ'. So when I can find time I will front up with suitable tools and a folding stool and effect repairs. Just don't hold your breath.

29-Apr-23
Great little setup!

Arrived to find the bomb in peices. The information was later passed to the bomb master. This is another amazing cache.

After a few years away from WA I decided to return and visit family living in the south west.

It had always been a goal of mine to visit Roy Merc territory and today I feel blessed that I have had the opportunity to be here amongst some of the great caches offered.

I will spend NYE and NYD roaming the area collecting RoyMerc caches. It is why I decided to head down this way.

Another ingenious piece of work!! I thoroughly enjoyed “blowing myself up” and living to tell the tale.

This geocaching holiday has been an utter delight thanks to you Roymerc.

The most fun cache I've ever seen

23-Sep-22
We found our way in to the bomb and started to diffuse it. So far…. So good. We fell gif the bait and wasted a lil time, but that was ok because we could breathe, lol. Ready to run we started again. As luck would have it we disarmed the bomb without it going off. More breathing!! As we were resetting it that’s when it went off!! A fave point from me. It’s a rippa!!
