As this was last found back in October last year, could I ask the CO to do a check on this hide and report back on its status, please? Thank you

I'm adding my name to the DNF list. I scrutinised all three trees in the vicinity but could not locate this hide.
I don't think the CO, "Littlebub" is geocaching any longer, so maybe the cache should archived.
On an Ebenezer/Wisemans/Cattai sweep with All Strung Out and Kieran6...and lovely a sunny open area on winter's morn. The most likely GZ (and allowing for the, later use, hint) simply did not offer up this Cache despite a thorough investigation.
With whitemushroom & kieran6, arrived at this old church and spotted old cars everywhere, though they soon departed (a car club having just had a cuppa and leaving), wandered down to GZ and found A likely place or 10, which seems to have been disturbed to some extent, spent about 15mins looking but a DNF for us.
Had a minor go at finding this one. Couldn't see anywhere the cache could be hiding. Tried to be inconspicuous with a group of muggles up the hill having their afternoon tea outside.
Might be worth a check to make sure it is still there.

Found 5 Aug 2012 with Hay CassElla! Nice Hide. Great location. Lots of Muggles, but no one near GC. Contents a bit moist! TFTC.

The original container has obviously got extremely wet at some point & is now sprouting a strange brown, furry mould. Someone has popped this container into a new, larger container & added a log page, so the container to be found is actually a small now instead of a micro.
Must admit, I'm quite happy they did it - I looked in the original container & I wouldn't want to touch that mess.
Nice location, I walked down to the river to sit for a while after signing the log. And this old church would qualify for my GCA locationless
Thanks

Whilst stopped for a famous Ebenezer devonshire tea (made so beautifully by the church angels) I thought this had to be prime cache territory. Switched on the phone and 'voila' was rewarded with coordinates a stones throw away. Lovely eash cache in a truly beautiful spot.

There was some activity at the church this arvo, including a woman standing out the front scrutinising every passing car. I ducked into the reserve next door and came along the riverside the gz. Found and signed. Thanks LittleBub. Beautiful old stone buildings.
Colour of cache helps it blend in well. Great hide. Log is very wet and needs replacing as it is unable to be unrolled without destroying log. TFTC

Nice quick find with G on a new years day afternoon. TFTC. Oh yeah and as the others have said, the logs a right off. Also the tree near GZ looks like its about to fold in half.
Day Trip from Sydney to Wisemans Ferry. Enjoyed the ride along the beautiful Hawksbury River and learned something about the history of the first settlers. TFTC
Reperio at 0805. What a fantastic historical location. There were quite a few muggles around in and around the church, so while I had a brief look around on the outside, I wandered over to make the find on the cache. As others have noted, the cache log is drenched, and can barely write on it. Wonderful spot to visit. You don't find too many places older than this is Australia.
Gratias LittleBub.

Woo...this would have to be the wettest log I have seen to date.
Badly needs replacing.

After hitching a ride to an area of Sydney I've never explored, it was great to do the Geocaching History Tour!
Lovely little church, and it was fascinating reading the informative signs around the grounds.
Thanks again, LittleBub!
(btw - the log is full, and wet - need replacing)

A very interesting place this is, has history & info boards if you’re interested. Was scratching my head where but found it in the end. Surprisingly the log was a little damp, what a shame because it is a unique log sheet, was able to sign log, but may need to be replaced if it doesn’t dry out. Wife was happy with the amities here, hotel style (I don’t now because I didn’t use them). TFTC / TFTH / SL
A couple of people were getting inthe theor car as I pulled up, but had left once I had read the info on the GPSr.
A fascinating old spot, and worth the visit.
Found the cache without tooo much effort - twice - as I almost walked off with the pencil from it still in my hand.
thanks.

tftc sl purple143 found this one first found with bagoogle1 and purple143 7th of 10 for to day
I found this one first, before Bagoogle1 and Alcan4X4 laid their eyes on it. TFTC
It was a nice easy find for the rest of the team, as they found it while I was still in the toilet. TFTC
A number of years ago, a friend was married in a church out this area- she said it was the oldest. I guess the difference is the church and school house. We spent a bit of time looking at this heritage listed cemetery- buildings and graves. Thanks for the visit. Anyway a nice quick find. TFTC
We spent some time here investigating the church with our kids and the school master's residence. We climbed the stairs to the bedroom where the ceiling was only about an inch above my head. The stairs were so steep that they were in danger of being called a ladder. This is a beautiful area and well worth the visit for Devonshire teas or to explore the graveyard.
When I got home I was curious to investigate the claims of the church being Australia's oldest. Some of the signs seemed to quibble, with descriptions like "Australia's oldest church and school room" and "Australia's oldest extant church". I remember going to a wedding years ago for a work colleague who was also married in Australia's oldest church - not this one. Maybe it's like all those country towns that boast they have Austrlia's oldest pub, or Australia's oldest continually licensed pub, or Australia's oldest pub with pink bar mats.
My guess was that Samuel Marsden's church in Parramatta would have a good claim to the title. So I checked it out from some notes I made a few years ago. The original church was built in 1803. The twin towers either side of the church were added in 1818. The original church was pulled down in 1852 and rebuilt, but the towers that were added in 1818 were retained. The transepts were added in 1882 to improve the capacity of the church.
Of course, what all this means is that the oldest part of Marsden's church that remains are the 1818 towers, which still leaves the title open for Littlebub's church, unless we quibble and define the church not as bricks and mortar, but as an established place of worship - a piece of pedantry akin to pubs that claim oldest continuous licenses.
Whatever! ... you might say, and you would be right. This is a beautiful little church/schoolroom with an interesting cemetery and pleasant grounds. Come for the Devonshire tea, a geocache and some country town souvenirs.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Found this cache after a day of fun on the river with friends. Hey what a beautiful old church and the school house with the 1868 high flood mark. Very interesting, thanks for bringing us here Littlebub and TFTC.

What a pretty church, and also the surroundings!
Found the container, but a bit hard to get out without damaging the tree.
When finished, we suddenly heard the fire brigade arriving. A neighbour was burning garden rubbish, and had obviously not let the firies know.

Was tying my shoes before starting the cache hunt and spotted it out of the corner of my eye... lucky find as I may well have struggled a little with this one... TFTC

A nice easy walk and find. A few muggles about in the cafe, but we hide behind the tree as we signed the log. TFTH...SL...TNLN
i looked in all the wrong places untill alex mclellan came in over the top and snatched the find
Geokids had fun in the nearby pile of leaves while we signed the log. TFTC
Thought I had it then I didn't, but on closer inspection I knew I wasn't going mad. TFTC
Came back today and for some reason spotted it straight this one away too. Some days are much better than others.

Nope saw all the bark everywhere and lots of evidence of other searches, but despite having the place to ourselves we couldn't spot the cache. We shall return!
Thank you for setting the cache up at this location. It gave us a chance to look around and to take in the history of the area. THANK YOU FOR THE CLUE AS WELL. A GREAT LOCATION
Alot of stealth required as tea and scones being served had an elderly group entertained of our presence
Grandmas about, stealth required, cache guardian present in a lizard Nice and easy! Tftc
Found this one while camping out this way at del Rio for the week.
RAGS stood by while I tried to find the sneaky hide, when one of the kids found it on the ground nearby. It seems it had slipped from it's hidey hole.
We replaced it where it was meant to be so hopefully it will stay put.
Some interesting history here and my better half also got some Goss on her relatives who were original settlers in the area from the chapel.
The views from GZ are also pretty nice.
Good One, TFTC

We picked another warm day to do this one! Whew!
Parked near the church and after a short wander sharp-eyed Silky soon had the cache spotted. Did we see some other cachers leaving as we arrived....?

I got to this spot the place was deserted but with in a minute or two it was crawling with Muggles watching my every move. I think I may have spotted a family of Cachers but they didn't approach and were gone after I had finished. In the end as time was running out and so sign of the Muggle activity easing up I had to phone a friend as I don't expect I'll be up this way again for a quiet a while
Nice spot and thanks for showing it to me.

Going to enlist the help of Argeisia on this one as I'm heading away for a few days, cache should be all fixed up soon!!!

The youngest found this one, the cammo is only just attached to the container now, but still hanging in there so handle with care. Nice job. Church was open for inspection today, interior was a bit plain but liked the exterior.

What a great park. Absolutely full of history with great amenities. I'll be back to this one.
On the way there I watched as a large local possum decided to play dodge the wheels of Team Cashos geomobile travelling in front of me near the front gate. It scampered up a nearby tree after successfully ensuring that we were all alert. It was one of several brushies spotted .. they grow them big out this way. {:)]
Treated the cache with TLC and returned it to its home.

Found on a cache hunt trip (now teamed up with rogpol for a few hours) leading to the big 1000th find tomorrow at the Christmas Event (#975 almost there).
We would like to thank all our fellow cachers for the experiances we have had over the past year and for their time and effort within the sport / game.
We are now planing for the Oz Wagga Wagga Mega Event (April 2-5, 2010) GC1Y5R. It looks like they have recently hit the MEGA requirements, and we can’t wait to be part of it.
Merry Christmas
Happy and safe caching.

P.S. We did it. As this was not logged untill the 13th we can now say that we hit out target with our 1000th find being logged coinsiding with the event yesterday.
Thanks to all who have been part of our adventures.

More a could not get close to GZ as we came around the corner there was a group of people sitting on the table and chairs. We headed down the the flat rock took a couple of photos and left this one for another day.
NOT where I expected it to be.. I found it about 8ft from the prime location, being unsure of the exact spot I have returned the cache to its owner.
No wonder I didn't find it the first time around, nice work.

After receiving a quick message from Swampgecko, we met up and I have my cache back in posession. This one will be back in its original location with all its parts intact by tomorrow am!!! Thanks for your help Swampgecko!!!
Found today and no hint from other cachers just required a good read of the logs. I was right the cache was observing us while we scratched around like Bush Turkeys. Excellent Camo. TNLN thanks.
Taking RAGs advice, I stepped back from this one, no still no good. Walked around it, still no good....wait a minute, whats that?
This one will cause some grief for quite a few!
The camo may not last for a long time, as it appears to be a bit fragile...
Despite some muggles nearby, I managed to nab this one without suspicion, I hope!
Thanks for a great little piece of camo magic!

Wow, I'm very pleased with this find! Am I the only one to find this without a hint from someone else?
DNF met Swampgecko at GZ and we all had a good look around. Now reading RAG’s and others logs the crafty micro may have been laughing at us. Will have to have another crack at this one soon. Thanks for bringing us to such a lovely church and surrounds.

Signed log. Despite not being one of the "big boys" I some how still managed to stumbled onto the cache. (with a little help)
What a great way to hide a micro and despite the ground being so disturbed you have outwitted all before you, even the "big boys".
Tks for a great hide LittleBub...... GazMag

Updated difficulty levels as suggested... Also visited site to check out all this mentioned bark, thankfully it was all there previously to placing cache.
Ahhh Gaz mag ,Gaz mag, Gaz mag when it comes to caches such as this leave them for the big boys to play........ this was just what I was thinking as I dialed the owners help from GZ he he he he....
This ended up being a devil of a thing to find, but in such a beaut location we were in no hurry to move on.
We scoured the area as many have done before us it seems, certainly more than one cacher has had a crack at this one given the strewn bark and suchlike at GZ.
There's no need to damage the tree in your search just stand back and you;ll soon be on the money.
In the end we surrended to help from the hider, but were none the less very impressed with this hide I'd give it a 8/10 for craftiness, and another 8/10 for worthiness(top location).
Among the best hides I've seen for a long long time, good to see someone putting in a bit more effort and thinking outside the box.
The difficulty on this one is far from right though I'd estimate this at 3 - 3.5 difficulty stars and 2 in terrain.
Thanks for bringing us here Little Bub hope you can conjour up more just like this one (now if we can just work on their size???)
Oh did I happen to mention that Deputy Dog and I managed the joint FTF effort on this one!!!

What can I say that RAG's hasn't already covered ...... other than when you find it you will see there is no reason to start digging up the surrounds and the piles of bark that are located at GZ....
VERY nicely done and I would adjust the stars as RAG's has hinted.
Thx for a really well thought out cache is lovely spot and a hip looking church...
