An very early start to the day to drive down to Wellington to find some caches before this morning event in Wellington. Now finding some more before heading home. Thanks boxhill for the cache.
I used to live in Khandallah, when I first moved to NZ. I have sorely neglected it since then, and didn't realise there were quite a few caches spread around. After attending an Event nearby a few nights ago, Khandallah is now on my list as a place to visit for caches. This one was a nice hide, good to see a plaque commemorating the work of the old bridge. And nice to know the Council recycled the wood. I don't know if it put plaques on the items using recycled wood. That would have been interesting for the users to learn about, the sort of thing I would enjoy knowing.Cache in very good order. For once, the lack of Council maintenance is a good thing! ,';*={thanks}-*;', ,;:*(thanks}:*;*:{thanks}*:;, ,;{thanks}:;:*{thanks}:;:{thanks);, `;:{thanks};:{thanks}:;{thanks}:;' `*&;:{thanks}:;:{thanks},:;&*' `-+;:*{thanks}*:;+-` `-\\\||///-' __ \\||// __ / `------' \ | }-(______)-{ | \___/ |||| \___/ /_, |||| ,_\ \| |/
Great little cache. I may or may not have shone a light directly into an 8 legged little friend's home at 1am, but he didn't seem to mind.
Stopped here on the way into town. Pretty much looked in all the wrong spots before making the find. Thanks boxhill
Found on 19/03, finally catching up on logging my finds. Quick wee park and grab
Well it's a dot day. Work held me up and it was reasonably late (still daylight) that I ventured out free of the computer for a bit. This one was the target today. I had looked once prior but did not log a DNF as I wasn't convinced I searched well enough. This evening, traffic and pedestrians had quietened, and I was free to explore. A nice quick find here today, thank you boxhill.
I hadnt been back here since it was still a one-way bridge. Interesting piece of modern history. Tftc
Found it, had to duck back to the car to log, as it was very busy. Replaced as found, TFTC
AHAHA got it!!! It feels so nice to sign a blank logsheet. Tftc. Cute little hiding spot.

DNF when I went looking for this one on NY morning with Livenettle Like the previous 2 posters, we searched everywhere! Not a trace was found. Did we miss something?
Don't know if it's missing or has fallen could not find looked for a while ... Pain
Out with KiwiKatieG while we had a gap in the rain. Nice and easy find. All good with the log. Nice and dry. Thanks for placing a cache like this. Now I can see how well it westhers as I have one out in the wild like this too. TFTC
Got to this one just before a downpour. The handy hint had and I onto it in not too much time at all. Pleased to have a chance to try out our new log roller! TFTC. KTG
Took me longer to find than it should have! Not helped by the rain and a busy road. Thanks for the cache.
Co has permitted a log. Many thanks. Had a read about the bridge. And did a bit of train spotting, so lacking in ChCh. This may well be my last log of this trip to Wellington. I'd love to come back with one of my caching buddies instead of solo. There is so much more to do. Thanks CO's for all your quick replies and help - much appreciated.
TFTC. Found, but too rusty to open. Logged with permission from CO.
That was a fun day out in Khandallah yesterday!

Another great Wellington find. Logging with permission after being unable to open.
Tried and failed to log this again, but I did find it! Paced back and forth on the bridge a bit before picking this cache up. But there was a problem - it was so rusty I couldn't open it!
CO has said I can claim a find here after I reported the condition of the cache, and they should be doing maintenance on the cache asap.
Tftc!

I was heading down to Wellington today, to attend a CCE in Khandallah so naturally I wanted to make the most of my day in the big smoke.
The weather had decided it was going to try to scupper my plans, and make things interesting, but I don't mind a bit of wind and rain (in moderation) and certainly wasn't going to let it stop me from looking for a few caches along the way, including this one.
Parking up near GZ, the cache itself was an easy find once I had expanded my search just a little. I suspect this cache has suffered a little creep as it's about 10m from the posted co-ords, but no big issue. I soon added my log entry and replaced it all back as found and was back on my way again, just a little damper than I was before lol.
Thanks for the cache.

Now this could be there still - but the rust mark where an object matching the hint probably lay for a good while suggests otherwise.
Mum is helping me log all my caches that I haven't logged yet.Found with Mum (LL113) and Dad (GNARwhal).
Awesome cache. Knew what it was as soon as I spotted it. My caching eyes are getting pretty good. Found with UnicornLex and SiTheGrim.
Found out with TharntheHalken. Had failed to find this some weeks ago, but a fresh set of eyes tracked it down today. All good, tftc!
Took a bit more looking than we thought originally but luckily we have had some experience with sneaky hides like this one. we had some major log issues getting the log out and then back in.
After almost blowing away on the bridge we had to retreat to the car to work hard to get the stuck log out. Twisting and tweezers definitely helped here. Was almost as hard to put it away again. Tftc
Wellington trip! Caching with Nosynel and Ethness. Quick stop on the way to another cache. Nice camo. Hard to spot! Thanks for the hide.

Cool cache! Took me just as long to get the log book out as it did to find the cache!
It looks like maintenance is required - GC missing? Searched high and low. Could see possible evidence where the cache was located. Lots 'n lots of chewing gum stuck (yuk) on structure so perhaps muggled? Have sent CO a photo and further description.
Checked while walking past this morning. The cache is still there where it should be.
Was in the neighbourhood meeting a friend for dinner and had hoped to get this one.
Next time.
Next time.
Fabulous find, thanks! Unfortunately, there was no way I could open this cache to log tho - Miss 4 also tried her hardest!
Please don’t delete my find!!
Please don’t delete my find!!
Clue was good but I had no chance of opening to get log. Took a photo but posting it will give it away. Please message before deleting find. Thanks!
Quick find where all good at GZ. Had my car in town today so stopped for this one on way home.
Thanks for another smilie

I took my youngest son up to Wellington in the camper van. I dropped him off at his friend's house where he will stay. Meanwhile I get to geocache and be on standby.
I stayed in Newlands today and wanted to make my way back to Zealandia. This geocache was on the way. I am so glad that I stopped.

Very good one, family friendly, bring tweezers though maybe as struggled to get log out! These are some of my favourites to find!!
#469. Filling in another dot day on a park and grab trip after Christmas shopping expedition at Johnsonville Mall. Took a minute longer than it should have to find. Tftc Yeetrees/boxhill.
Was going to be a quick grab on the way to work, but not so, a bit of a tricky one. Great hide. Enjoyed the hunt. TFTC
