It would appear that some one has taken a disliking to my caches #2 and counting.
With mixed feelings about Geocaching at the moment, I have decided to archive this cache and open up the area for another cacher to have a go at hiding a cache
I hope that all that have found this cache have enjoyed finding it as much as I’ve enjoyed reading you logs
Cheers

Weird, weird, weird.
There was no cache at home after I walked through the lightly falling rain to get to this location. A nice walk, but alas no find at the end.
I checked all placed along the location of interestes, cracked the hint and checked again, but there was nothing home.
That made caughtatwork sad, but only a little sad as the area is very pleasant to walk through.

With the rest of the team off seeing Harry Potter, I decided to make an assault on Arthur's Seat and grab a few caches.
Third find of the day. Another easy find on a lovely bit of track. Unfortunately, the cache was heavily waterlogged. There was just too much stuff in there and the lid wasn't closed properly. The logbook is soaked but I was just about able to sign it. Unfortunately I didn't have anything to dry the cache out with so it is still very damp despite my best efforts. I removed the large wooden box that was in there as it had swollen and split with the damp and it was also taking up about 3/4 of the space. Could do with a maintenance visit to tidy things up a bit more.

Found at 3.55 on a caching day on the Peninsula with visiting cachers from interstate. Very impressive circuit walk from the little car park round OT to here and on to another of Oaky's well-placed caches. The ferns are looking good! TNLN Thanks for taking us to another beaut place Oaky.
Out caching and sightseeing with DicksonTwo today, we had been told that the Oaky series were great caches, and it's true. We really enjoyed our walk through the bush, with butterflies and lots of tiny wildflowers around. TNLN, thanks Oakydog.
Followe the ( nearly overgrown ) trail through the fern forrest.
At GZ we had to search for quite a while before we could retrieve
the cache. Thanks Oakydog, your caches made us aware of the
beautiful Arthur Seat State Forrest.

Found by Mary & David at 1255. A nice short walk, although the track was quite wet and muddy. Lots of heath in flower. Our thanks once again to Oakydog.
Found cashe at 1130am. Good hide. Very foggy and wet up there. Took fish keyring, left a stubby holder. Left just in time before the heavens opened.
Love your work Oaky. I reckon your GPS and mine came out of the factory in the same batch. I'd get to 0m almost every time and say "Oh look, here's the cahe". Nice track, and hide. On to the next one. Thanks for the cache.

Found while doing an afternoon of Geocaching with Squalid. We did a bit of bush bashing to get to this cache, eventually finding the track and the walking to the cache site. We made a very quick find due to accurate numbers. Squalid managed to set off the alarm that was located inside the cache. Exited the way we perhaps should have come in!

2010-06-19 15:33 Last cache for today. I was involved in a search for a missing person here a few years ago with a not so happy ending. Always think about it when I am in the area. TFTC.
12th find of the day, and 2485th total find at 15:19.
Wow what a great track. We approached from OT No Phone Home, and then wandered down to this one. Then we found a short cut that took us back to the car.
Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Grabbed: all 4 TB's
Thanks Oakydog for the cache

Nice little walk into the woods. Was worried there was not going to be a track for a while but then it popped up. Got sprung by to very quiet Muggles at this one, but no questions and they said Hi and kept walking. Took the TB to move on down to Gippsland in the next few days. Left some toys and stuff. TFTF
Find 2/5 on this trail through the state park, helpful clues meant I knew where to poke my hand into, this cache is very well hidden.
Found in the company of Acts2YouthGroup. We continued here from a nearby cache and a nice walk it was in the receding drizzle. The hiding spot at gz appeared obvious but it still took a couple of minutes before he made the find.
This was cache # 24 of 27 for the day, in the company of Alansee. We continued on from GZ could tell some tails to this one, we were sure it was there but it took us several looks before I finally spotted it with my torch and it was not even dark yet the sky was just very black from the storm. We thought about heading for forgotten cache but thought we would leave it for a sunny day. My thanks to Oakydog for the cache.
Nice easy walk from last cache in very lovely bush setting butterflys everywhere
Left GC that might like the creek that the cache is near & a TB that like swamps

The container sure was colourful but it made for a welcome change from the traditional black paint. As I stolled to GZ I disturbed perhaps 30-40 butterflies and they all took flight at the same time around me in a haze of orange fluttering. Quite the experience indeed.
Thanks,

This cache took us the longest to find of all those attempted today. We had to resort to the clue and then it was a straightforward find for Mr WD who was willing to get a bit dirty.

I found this cache at 3:55pm as the 9th of 16 on my Mornington Peninsula Afternoon. I re-parked the car from the last stopping point for better access to the next two caches. No trouble following the tracks through but once at GZ, I was sure that the cache was missing until I got right down and had a really good look. Thanks from D B-A.
Found by Bob at 1610
Having not been able to locate a track near the "Tales" cache, I headed further west and walked in along the OT track to do the Mr Jibblet's cache and hoped to pick up the other end of the right path. Unfortunately, I didn't spot the entry point and headed off along the (vehicle) track that heads along the quarry fence. When it became apparent that I was on the wrong path and I wasn't going to get any closer to GZ, I decided to bushbash up the hill at a point where the undergrowth seemed a little less dense (I was only wearing shorts too). It turned out to be a good decision, as I soon encountered the correct track and wasn't far from GZ - where the cache was located after a short search. I followed this track back to the OT track on my return, and couldn't believe how I missed it on my way in (I think I wasn't expecting it so soon and had been fiddling with my GPSr instead of looking around me at that point).
TNLN
Thanks again Oakeydog

This was cache # 16 in my Mornington Peninsula Caching Trip. After doing the nearby cache, the track seemed to head roughly in the right direction, so I just followed it and it led me right to the spot. After feeling around in a couple of spots, I was able to find the cache. I really enjoyed the walk in. My thanks to Oakydog for the cache and the walk.
Further on down the road from the Tale Teller. A nice walk through the bush to this cache. A bit of rain has brought back the growth.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Team "Are we there yet?" visited this cache tonight.
Saulman1010, Hazy1, Trailertrash78 and geo kids fired up the geo kombi and we hit a few caches as an after school activity.
Nice walk in the park that tired the geo kids out that will bring blessed sleep tonight.
Left various goodies.

Third of three caches I've been meaning to get in this nataional park for a while. Having just done OT Dam I headed to this cache on the way back to the car. Took a while to find the correct path, and once i'd got around the huge roo blocking my way (bit daunting when you see this 7 foot thing standing in the middle of the path, and its dark and all you can see is its rough outline; wasn't sure what it was to start with), I followed the winding track to GZ. A quick searched of the area, whilst swiping mozzies away and I had another find. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Hey oakydog found another one of your chaches on the same day with geo dad BushwalkingBandit Sheppythekid and geo sister sienna.
And again another Brilliant cache to find!
Thanks oakydog.

4th at 3.00 pm, less than 24 hours after publication, 12 hours after the FTF!! If you go out for a 3.00 am find you deserve a FTF,.but please, Ump give us more publications at times that give us all a chance! This one was 11.29 pm, us olds stay comfy and don't even look at emails then!
All that said, Friends of Oakey, we really enjoyed your cache, just what we like, a good "walk in the park" (we actually followed quite a few paths before getting on the right track). Great camo, Mrs did well to pick it after Mr got really frustrated (say no more, except needs care in replacement!)
Left Leia Travel Bug to continue her travels (previous T B retreived, presumably).
Are you going to Australia's First Mega Event? Easter 2010 in Wagga Wagga. See GC1YJ5R and http://www.rivcache.com/ It will be amazing. Support the hard-working committee.

*FTF* A nice night for a lovely walk in the bush. Lots of noises around. Not to hard to find. I did "pull the pin" on the item in the cache and scared of any more animals for at least 500 meters I didn't know of this little track. I great place for a cache. TFTC
