another unlucky search with a work colleague who is convinced the whole geocaching thing is a figment of my imagination !
In Ponsy town for a couple a days on a training coarse. Hadn't planned any caching but while out for a walk to warm up at lunch time I reached Franklin St and remembered there was a cache near by. After a good search with no luck, I'ld run out of time and had to return to class. That night I checked that I had remembered GZ correctly and packed the GPSr for the next day. Returned next lunch time but again didn't come up with the goods. Conacted a previous finder who confirmed that, with where I had looked I would have found it if it was still there.
Had to rush back to Ponsonby this evening, after the task was completed just had time to find the cache before heading back home. Knew where general location was, easy find in the dark without GPS.
A very nice street and a quick find. I usually only come here to see the Christmas lights. TFTC
Inbetween several showers found this easy one. Logbook was very wet and is nearly full...needs to be replaced. TFTC 1/3 Rheinkucker
Catching up with some logs that we did on Queen's birthday. A second after we arrived at GZ, the heavens opened up; good thing we were under shelter so didn't get wet. Found cache and we sat down to sign the log. As we returned the cache back to its hiding spot, the rain stopped, so it was perfect timing. TFTC.
Easy find, because the cache was lying on the ground. I put it back on the place I think it belongs, the log is soaked.

2nd attempt at finding a geocache without using a GPS. Had fun trying to find it with some friends. Unfortunately it wasnt me who located it, but was found none the less.
Sweet spot. Found with Maori Tree House after a feed along the road at Landreth. TFTC.
Nice hide.

Not sure about the previous logger sniffing this one out as GZ smelt like a urinal (yuk). Quick find luckily, TFTC, Biggles.

GPS pointed to the middle of the road, but I got the hint reading the comments.
Had to wait for someone who was waiting for a bus, to leave. But then cache soon located. SL TFTC
Love this area. The Victorian timber houses and lots of food. An awesome combination. Well done.
U-turn required and then a parking sideways jesture, to grab this cache quickly. Thanks
Walked around the block, checked the co-ords and then it all made sense. Quick grab between the rain showers

Out and about in the Red Convertable while Mrs TWS did the housework and some painting at home. Hot day today.

Second time lucky here - thanks

4.30pm. Happened to be passing after a meeting in Ponsonby. A member of The Pud team guided us as we had not anticipated any caching this afternoon and didn't have all the necessary equipment with us.

Not convinced that these structures are quality cache hides. On the way home after a days caching. TFTC
11.00pm. Quick find while in the area checking out all the Christmas lights.

Found durning a visit of the Christmas Lights, logbook is saturated but was able to sign, need to have a bag of some sort. Great spot for viewing Christmas lights tonight, TFTC TNLNSL (1502)
Found it. It blends in really well. The busstop smells vaguely of urine and alchohol... Hmmm.... TFTC
A quick find, it fell on the ground as I looked for it. The logbook is was wet, maybe a smaller plastic bag would help, it’s a bit of a struggle to get it all back in and the cache closed properly at the moment. SL 1453hr TFTC

Quick find, surprised to find a damp logsheet, dried it as best we could. Checked out the Ponsy Tree later, the kids loved it.

Nice quick find on a Sunday morning. No one around due to the light rain falling. TFTC

Quick visit and soon cache was in hand. One more for 50....Number 49. TFTC.
Thanks for repositioning the cache... this one I was more like the dodgy person doing unusual things.... T4TC (PS I forgot a pen - so sorry guys- signed the log in lipstick... but it is Ponsonby)
Picked this one up on a lunch time walk, sans GPSr. A quick look at Google Maps and the clue was enough to get going.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Quick and easy this time of the morning before the Ponsonby Cappuccino set are out and after the late night drinkers have passed out. Thanks.

Had lunch nearby and noticed this came up on my iPhone. A quick grab. A vulnerable spot though. TFTC
Nice quick find here of this very brazen hide. I hope it lasts, although it could easily got knocked to the ground... Managed to park reasonably closely even in rush hour and no one noticed a thing. Thanks for the fun FTF! TFTC!!!
5.07 pm - rush hour - and a new Ponsonby cache. Hmm. Would be silly wouldn't it . . . So let's go!
Parked nearby, and not at all surprised to see a familiar face as we walked along the pavement to GZ. Second to FMZ yet again. A brazen little hide - not where we were expecting. T4TC.

Took the opportunity for some night caching as we thought it would be a night for easy finds when everyone else was looking up at the skyworks. This was a crafty hide and not exactly what we were expecting hope it lasts T4TC.
